We stayed right on the river, it was very peaceful. This park has many seasonal campers and most must be big Ohio State fans, lots of OSU flags flying. They set up a TV in the pavilion and had a big bon-fire during the game. The sites were on the small size. Toilets were pit latrines. Each lot is serviced by back to back electric and water hydrants. Close to Amish towns and farms. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Called to make reservation and pick a site. Told them it was a Pop-Up. The site picked would not work for most Pop-Ups as it was hilly. Day before we were to arrive they couldn't find our reservation. They did have it when we got there. It was misplaced. Trip in had me wondering where I was going as we turned off a paved road onto a small paved road then around a farm and up a VERY STEEP hill with a turn 2/3 of the way up (after mentioning it they told us we should have taken the back way though they didn't mention it when I called). Was not full at all on Saturday (which had us wondering why not). On Sunday we had the whole area to ourselves but there were campers on the other side of the camp and down by the water. It was nice to have all the area to ourselves. Like boon-docking but with water and elect. We picked the place because they had a pool and the cheapest rates for canoeing. But, AT&T has NO COVERAGE in the area and we would be the only ones on the river with no way to contact anyone in case of emergency. We opted for another place for the canoeing. Pros: Large shower area; could shower and dress in a decent amount of room. Pool was clean and nice. Site I choose was large. Staff was friendly. Had things for kids on the weekends. Cons: Shower area needs hooks (they put one hook over the door after it was mentioned). Wife mentioned her bathroom had not been cleaned in some time. She kept an eye on one very common place to see if it ever got cleaned; it didn't. Mostly had hot water though I did have one that was only lukewarm at best. They were unfamiliar with site boundaries and general landscape of what could go where. River and campsites by river were 0.3 miles from everything and down a steep grade -good exercise? I would recommend the place (but come in the back way off 39 NOT BY WAY OF 3) if you want somewhere away from a crowd. Though they were supposed to be busy on the weekend (we left on Friday for another campground because there were no open spots for us to stay suitable for a pop-up). We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

I wasn't sure what to expect as the campground's web site doesn't have a lot of pictures, but we were booking at the last minute and most of the other Loudonville parks were full. Then we arrived and had to travel back a rural road to reach the campground - I was getting pretty skeptical. We were pleasantly surprised! This campground is really nice. It is full of mature trees so it's nice and shady and very pretty. The bathrooms were basic but in good condition, very clean, and the showers had nice, hot water with stalls big enough for changing clothes privately. The campground was pretty quiet when we visited which was also nice. We'll definitely go back to Camp Toodik. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

My wife, 18-month old son, and I stayed here for 1 night. The site has a GREAT indoor pool although we didn't have time to swim. Let me say that I like larger lots as opposed where lots are very close together. This campground has a few nice spots with room, but a most sites are pretty close to together. There are TONS of activities for young kids. It is along a stream and there is a lake with beach, lots of playground equipment, paddle boats for the lake, canoeing across the street run by them. They sold firewood and it burned almost too well. It was $10 a bundle of rough sawn, dimensional wood as opposed to logs, and it burnt very quickly. We went through 3 bags easy in one evening. There are portable potties throughout that are decent and were pretty clean, but there is only one major shower house that is attached to the pool. Shower cubby holes were nice with shelves, room to un/dress, but a little tight. Lots of hot water and water pressure, but out of 10 shower spots I was the only one there. Lots are gravel and gravel roads a little rough with various types and sizes of stone. A little rough and detracting from the look. The check-in sites had everything you could want for your camper or camping experience. The people that work here were very nice. Since there were so many full service lots, it was ok, but there was only one dump station and it was not as nice as others, but it did the job. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park was a disappointment. The website and color brochure are very detailed, so I was expecting more from the campground. The road in between the campground and the fun center across the road is very busy. There were trucks and other traffic on the road all night long, which made for some loud evenings around the campfire. The bathrooms and showers were usually messy and the indoor pool was on the small side and dirty the whole week we were there. The chemicals are also so strong that it burns your eyes. We chose to use the community pool in town which has a snack bar and diving boards. It is a very nice pool. Our site (#60) was not a nice one. We were at the end of a pull through road and had a big electrical box on our site. It was also very narrow and the firepit was right on top of our patio area. We were able to move the firepit, but then it was right on the road. The roads in the front are paved, but pretty rough. Our pad was made of large gravel which was not comfortable under our patio rug. There is no firewood delivery or garbage pick up. On the plus side...we enjoyed the river trip we took across the road. The kids also liked the mini-golf. Mohican State Park was beautiful and we spent a whole afternoon exploring it. The workcampers at the campground were very nice. All in all, it is a very pretty part of the state and we would go back again, but I would check into other campground first. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I camp with a group and this is the second time we went there, both times it was horrible!! The restrooms are an outhouse which the clean maybe once a year! The smell & flies was so bad that I feel lucky I had an RV to use! Four of the campers with us got sick because of this. If you're looking for something to do? This campground has NOTHING! Well, canoeing which we did, was OK, equipment was fine and we all had a good time. They have security folks that visit your camp site just after food is ready (I swear they can smell it from a mile away!). One guy was a real pest and kept asking for food.. really! My RVs engine backfired when we were leaving (we were just about the only ones there) and they accused us of setting off some sort of firework and therefore violated the rules and kept our $100 security deposit! The security guy was pissed at us for complaining about his pestering us for food. There are so many BETTER campgrounds in this area, you would be a fool to visit this place.. Be warned! Stay away! We camped here in a Motorhome.

As a previous reviewer stated this is a very popular park. I tried to get reservations on line, but they only let you reserve two nights on the weekend. I only needed Saturday night. But, we took a chance and drove to the park and they did have some sites for one night. They don't let you drive through the park to look at the sites, but do have a nice book that has pictures of the sites. We had site 152 at first, which is right on the river, but when we got to the site it was so tight and right on top of the neighbors, which I hate. That loop also has tons of sites really packed together and it was noisy. We moved to site 68 which was quite private, quiet and pretty, good move. The full hookups sites are huge and very spacious. The majority of the sites (not all) in my opinion are close together and not very private. Oh, also the park has sites 1-16 that they save for walk in people. The river and pool look like the big attractions. The park is paved so bike riding is good and there is a paved bike path that goes into town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There was no one at the house to check-in: self check in. The commissary was open and very nice. No camp store that I saw. Lots were well laid out and very large. My wife, I and 18-month old son drove through and decided we'd stay here next time instead of Mohican Adventures. Only because we really like large comfortable lots and our 18-month old was not old enough to enjoy all the kids stuff and activities at Adventures. Bathrooms were simple but clean and adequate, had hot water and pressure and there were several of them around. There was sand volleyball, a basketball court, horseshoes, a simple small playground, but that's about it, and they weren't fabulous. Looking a little work down in general. But if you like large comfortable lots over amenities and activities, this is your campground. Lots along the tree line or along the river are roomy and very nice, but not quite as big as the ones toward the interior (which are enormous), but a bit more private. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice campground. We were in a pull through site with full-hookups. The pull through site was a little different as you are parallel to the access road. This is a very popular campground. We stayed through the weekend and were surprised it was still full in Sunday evening. It was very quiet and clean. The commissary was nice-nicely stocked and they serve ice cream! The only issue is you can not get any TV reception as you are basically in a valley. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here and canoed at another location. The staff was friendly and we had a nice secluded tent site. We camped here in a Tent.

The grounds of the campground were very nice but only a small portion of it was for the campers. The tent area was very poorly cared for and on very uneven ground. The water and electric sites were too close together. The bathrooms and showers were in very poor condition and not very clean. The playground was nice but the gameroom had only a couple of games that worked. The swimming pond had only a very small area for the children to swim. All in all a very disappointing experience. We camped here in a Tent.

Very disappointing park. The rules are there only to say that rules exist in the park but are not enforced. People cut through your campsite at all hours, radios playing until 1am. This is a party park and not a good park for rest and relaxation. Dead opossum in the restrooms did it for us as well as the overflowing dumpsters and playground equipment with beer bottles strewn around the playground. A fine example of a campground that COULD be good as it is a beautiful area, but is poorly run. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was the worst campground I ever stayed at. I truly disliked it and was never so happy to go home. I am giving it a "2" only because it is a functional campground. It is in an area where a campground is a gold mine. There is so much demand that you really don't have to do anything to be successful because people will come regardless. This is obviously the formula the campground owner uses here. Again, while it is functional, I cannot mention one nice thing about this campground. Nothing is updated, new or nice. Anything that has been done has been done in the cheapest, least attractive way possible. For example, the water and electric at my site where strung on a telephone pole that was leaning at about a 20 degree angle which eliminated about 1/4 of my campsite. There is no pavement in the park and hardly any rock or gravel so the dust is terrible. No rules are enforced (i.e. speed limit) and people are allowed to do anything they want (i.e. remote control cars whining all evening) without regard for anyone else. The bathrooms have no sinks to wash hands and there are only 3 showers for men and 3 for women in the entire park. If I hadn't been staying with a group I would have been gone immediately. It would have been torture to be there alone. The staff was very cold about service except for one lady who sold me some firewood one night. Everything in the camp store is kept under lock and key. Wonder why? This park is in one of the prettiest areas of the state, but if the area could be ugly, it would be River Run. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A great family park. The sites on the river are fantastic. The kids loved the playground and pool. The best part is being on the river and being able to see the people just float by you. The store was great for the kids and it also faces the river. I can not say enough about the owners and the staff they were very helpful and friendly. The only down side is the Pit toilets, but they were clean and freshly painted. Did not use the shower house while there, but it looked decent. We will be going back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I would rate this CG much higher if it had nice restrooms. Most of the restrooms were pit toilets. Some shade. Sites are grass and fairly level. Canoeing the river is the big thing here and they will pick you up at the CG and you row down the river back to the CG and just leave the canoe there. Very easy and a nice way to spend an afternoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They pick up trash all day everyday, which is nice. It would also be nice if it had another dump station. (just a suggestion) My only real complaint were the restrooms. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wonderful place to sit and relax. Employees very friendly and helpful. Trash is picked up at your site hourly. I would give them an excellent rating if they had a better dump station. Just one station, and it can be a long wait at check out time. We will definitly go back. Great people. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here on Coast to Coast. Don't count on sewer as they are very few and always taken. We were told to take any site with no other instructions. After we got fully settled, we were told we weren't positioned in the site correctly. That was VERY annoying. However, the guy said to just stay there until he determined if it was going to get too crowded for the weekend. This is a nice park on the Mohican River. Our dog enjoyed the swim. Open sites for DirecTV. Easy in and out at dump station. They definitely need a separate gate for those staying here. We returned once to the park and had to wait over 20 minutes in line to get in: very frustrating. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this campground for a week. The sites were very large but there were no sewer hookups. There was only 3 rest room facilities for all 225 sites. The rest rooms where the showers were located had 3 shower stalls that were not clean and 3 toilet booths. The other 2 rest room buildings had only 2 toilet booths with one sink in each building with no hot water only cold. We would not recommend this campground to our friends. We stayed there because we are traveling across country and belong to an affiliate campground association. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has about 225 RV sites, and another 76 or so tent only sites. There are riverfront sites, available only to members during peak season. There are 5 full hookup sites, and the rest are electric and water. All RV sites are 30 amps. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, no cooking grates. This resort is an affiliate of AOR, C2C, RPI, Camp Club USA, and NACC. $34 is non member price during peak season ($24 off peak). There are extensive rules, including having to park "straight" in your site. We parked in the shade between two trees at an angle, and the manager came over to make us move, even after we were hooked up. They also don't want two rigs parked any closer than 15' apart side to side. The water hookups are shared among 2 or 4 sites, so "Y" connections are needed. Long hoses and extension cords would be good to bring too. There are many sites in the full sun, although there is some shade away from the river. There is a playground, pool, mini golf, many activities. Along the road to this resort from Hwy 3, there are several other campgrounds. This one looked like the nicest from the road. Restrooms and showers are clean and nice. We would stay here again, now that we know all the rules, even the wacky ones. Dogs are welcome, but no aggressive breeds. Cash or credit cards only, no personal checks. We camped here in a Motorhome.
