Overall, very nice campground. All amenities (showers, pools, WiFi, etc.) were in good condition. Shade plentiful. Roads narrow, but manageable. Office staff was fine. Pricing was disconcerting. Highest price on-line: $49. Arrive at CG, it is $66. Humm. So Passport America rate is 1/2 of $66, not $49. "Premium" site did not include cable, so why is it premium? Because it is simply a pull through and can't get satellite? Would still consider returning. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The rate is a weekly rate. The roads are narrow and in bad condition. The sites are narrow. The laundry is 2 washers and dryers in the pavilion. There seemed to be mostly tents and pop-ups here. Staff was pleasant. They have 2 small pools which are well maintained. Cable is on a limited number of sites. Not satellite friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The $30 reflects Camp USA rate. They have dirt roads, angled back ins, but close to Cedar Point. They check-in was not friendly or helpful. Might stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park was kept clean and orderly. The showers were also very clean. The park employees were very helpful with a shuttle service that took you just about any place in the amusement park and at some park restaurants. They have a small store in the camping area that sells just about everything you forgot to pack ! Staying at the camp grounds offered a hour early admission from the general public. WI-FI available near the main hotels. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pricey, but worth it for a family trip. We stayed in the Lighthouse Point section of the campground, which seemed to be a litter less cramped than the other section. Sooo convenient to be right next to the park which you can walk to, or shuttle to. You also get to enter the park one hour early staying at the campground; we rode the most popular rides (ie Millenium, Top Thrill Dragster) in that hour rather than wait hours for those particular rides later in the day. It was wonderful to go back to the campsite during a brief rain storm and rest up, eat home made food and then go immediately back to the park again. Note; there are grills at the sites, but campfires are not allowed (so no s'mores). It's OK, because staying at the campground allowed us to stay in the park until absolute closing time. After a whole day at Cedar Point we didn't care too much about having a campfire. The park is clean and kept up. Bathrooms clean. The campground is not really "pretty" but that's not what we're there for, however, there are trees and shrubs. Lake Erie is right here and its nice. Soak City was fun and not very crowded. We enjoyed our stay here and would do it again; we recommend it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Resort is well maintained, groomed, and clean. All concrete pads. The resort is very busy, and doesn't allow bicycles or golf carts. Very pricey, but worth it when buying theme park ticket packages. Shuttle bus takes you any where you want to go in the park. Never had to wait longer than seven minutes. But then again, the theme park is walking distance anyway. Check in wait was around twenty minutes. Being right on Lake Erie had awesome views. Be warned that there is one way on and one way off Sandusky, so, traffic is a nightmare during peak park hours. Requesting certain sites or areas even a year in advance, is not even considered we learned when we checked in. Free wireless would have been nice, at the cost of these camp sites. Overall, very nice resort. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in the new Light House Point section of Cedar Point's Camper Village. Very long pull-thru concrete driveway and picnic pad, complete with permanent grill and clean picnic table. Concrete site is perfectly level. Landscaping is beautiful with excellent manicured green grass and privacy evergreen trees around the concrete patios. Not waterfront, but water view. Entry to park is a quick 5 minute walk or shuttle bus. Trash pickup service everyday. Nice registration office and campstore. Noise from rollercoaster is only a low rumble, not a big deal. In short, campground reminds me of a high end luxury motorcoach resort in terms of looks and long concrete pad. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This lives up to its name as a Resort. If you love roller coasters and such you will love this campground. We did not use the amusement park since it was cold and rainy. Opting instead for a lovely drive along the lake. The campground is well manicured and very clean. We had a tire problem and the Resort maintenance came and helped us - wow, I had to twist his arm to give him a tip. 2 complaints would be that it is loud due to the roller coasters, and you can not get a lake site since they have cabins all along the lake front We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one month. This is an old campground that needs a lot of renovation. The pull-thrus are very close to each other with tight turns on the gravel roadways. The electric service delivered about 108 to 110 volts during heavy air conditioner use. The "game-room" is a couple of machines in the office. The website ad is misleading. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated receiving packages and mail during our one month stay. The location is very convenient to the Erie Island area attractions, while still being remote enough to be considered camping. Caution - bring LOTS of ant pesticide. Our site was loaded with ants and mounds. We would stay here again but only for a night, not one month. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Crystal Rock is a well run campground in a great location far enough away to get out of the hustle and bustle, but close enough to many attractions to be convenient. Sites are a good size, mostly grassy, and divided between partly sunny to shaded. It rained quite a bit during our stay and the campground seemed to drain well with no sites retaining excess water or runoff. The restroom and shower house on the north side is a short walk from any site. The facilities were clean and completely functional. One of the things I liked is a community camp fire which it seems goes on every night. A few nights that I didn't feel like building a fire I was able to hang out there. The staff there are very friendly, helpful, and seem to be willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay enjoyable. One night one of the staff even went to help someone get their fire started as they seemed to be having trouble. Something I noticed was that when you buy firewood from them you also get some kindling and a firestarter brick. They are making improvements to the campground from my observation from last year to this visit. Some of the utilities have been improved (more 50amp sites), they are adding cable hookups, and wifi is now available in the campground (no extra charge for wifi). It also looks like they're adding a pizza oven for next season which looks like fun! The only thing that detracts is some kind of pump/machinery that runs intermittently on the far north side of the property. If you're looking for total and complete silence it may be bothersome from time to time. It certainly was not enough to keep you awake or drown out conversation or anything. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is an old KOA; great place if you tent camp. If you need hookups this place is the pits! New owner has a lot of work to bring this place up to standards. He told me that the campground was dropped by Good Sams this season. The few hookup sites (30 amp) are dirt, no grass left. The one and only 50 amp sites does not have sewer. The campground is miles from anywhere and hard to get to on narrow farm roads with no signs to direct you. The only true statement in the ad was the wi-fi did work; the rest of the ad is very misleading. Pass on this one unless you are tent camping and just want to be out in the country. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not the best experience, nor the worst. They had messed up our full hookup, back-in site reservation by assigning us to an electric only back-in site. That was caught at arrival, but resulted in us being assigned to a flood prone, full hookup back-in site. Set up in afternoon. That evening a heavy rain shower came in, including a tornado warning. Our site filled up with water that did not drain until next morning. Staff was friendly and accommodating and let us move to a nearby site the next morning that did not experience flooding during heavy rains. But, we had to move back to our original site for last night because that site was reserved for that night. Stayed 6 nights. About the campground. The good: Playground, pool, up-dated clean showers, close to Cedar Point and Sandusky. The bad: Close, crowded campsites; double train tracks very close to campground with trains passing at least every hour; small laundry room is not air conditioned. We camped here in a Motorhome.

All I can say is that there is a train that goes ALL NIGHT LONG, every hour and 45 minutes, through somewhere close to the park. A good night's sleep was impossible. The sites are slammed up against one another and the pool was murky. They were nice enough and our hook ups worked fine, but there was literally no room on either side of us, we were packed in like sardines. If I had to do it all over again, I would stay at Cedar Point itself. Not sure about their amenities, but there is no train to deal with and it is right at the park. Out of the 17 places we stayed during our excursion, this was the worst, by far. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park is not top notch, on run down side. Old permanent trailers also bring the park down. Laundry room not cleaned on a daily or weekly basis. If ever. Blacktop on sites narrow and in need of repair. Extremely noisy train passes right by park blowing whistle at all hours especially during night: often. A lot of help but most sitting and chatting behind desk. Help oblivious to providing camper with nice site or understanding plain English on what you want. This park brings KOA endorsement down. Has to be something better in area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
