Very good campground with exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. Facilities are clean and well kept. Good off-the-air TV signals, and strong Verizon phone and data signal. Some road noise from nearby I-40, but not objectionable. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Just to add my current comments to the previous ones. Staff very helpful and friendly...I was offered supper (delivered) and breakfast in the restaurant but declined. Beautiful spot with large spaces; the wi-fi acted up a bit, but seemed to settle down later (movie streamers?). Rate is pretty high for this area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice place. The little restaurant on property is reasonable and they even deliver. There is a walk down to a huge lake. Near I-40 but the noise is not noticeable. The electric at our site wasn't working but they brought over a 50amp extension instead of having us move over, nice service. Cable TV would be nice. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are multiple campground areas in the park. We stayed at 2 of them during March. The prime lakefront site camp area was $25. The view added to our enjoyment. Getting around the loop and parked was tight in a couple of places for our 40' motorhome and tow car. The sites in this loop were paved and pull through. Ten days later, on our return trip, we stayed in a different camp (Dogwood) in a more open gravel pull though with grass in between sites. It was more roomy and an easy area to negotiate, and $21. We met multiple staff, all helpful and well informed. We also liked having a major truck stop at Checotah. The State of Oklahoma State Park websites are not the best, lacking much information. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice sites with trees. A bit pricey @ $23 a night just for water and electricity. They charge $10 for the site and an additional $13 for electricity. Corp of Engineer parks would be a much better choice for the price. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean and nice park. Restrooms were old, but clean and well kept. Park personnel were very helpful. Sites were spacious but due to trees and narrow drive, could be difficult to park a longer rig. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a campground in transition. The new owners are obviously doing everything they can to upgrade the campground, and in the future it will be a very nice facility. I certainly would stay here again. At the present time, the sites are a little muddy after a big rain. The sewer hook-ups are more than 15 feet from our RV, requiring an extension --- a pain if you must hook-up and you are tired. Still as i said, this is a work in progress and the new owners are very nice and working hard to improve the park. The rate is that given to Escapees. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We completely enjoyed our stay here. The Park has recently been purchased by a young family and they are wonderful! Welcoming, helpful and very personable. We arrived after dark and the owner directed us to our site, stayed and offered us assistance with set up. Their three children are adorable and well attuned to the idea of a work ethic, thanks in large part to the hard work their parents are putting into the park. The laundry room was clean and fully operational, sites were clean and level. My only problem had nothing to do with the owners or the park.. I had lousy Cell Service here. Without a doubt we will stay here again! We highly recommend this park to anyone! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We rolled in here after along drive from the north. The park has recently been purchased by a young family and they are wonderful! Welcoming, helpful and very personable. We arrived after dark and the owner directed us to our site along with his kids. They stayed and offered us assistance with set up. We will stay here again! We highly recommend this park to anyone! The owner is redoing the electric and building new sites. Give this place a try, we did and thought it was great. We camped here in a Motorhome.

RPI rate plus 30AMP per day. This is a member owned RV Resort now open to the public. This time of the year they are closing down portions of the campground and winterizing the pool. Off SR-69 Texanna Rd is under construction, and there is a severe edge of pavement/lane drop off with lots of hazard pylons to be your guide. The campground office is closed on Sunday, open on holidays. Short term campers utilize Section L and the sites are all drive through with 30/50 (you pay even more for 50AMP), W/S. Campground is collecting "donations" for free Wi-Fi and a bathhouse remodel. Lake Eufaula is nearby, but the water level is so low there is no access. Sites are gravel, most roads are asphalt. There are not enough picnic tables in short term for each site to have its own. Laundry room is clean. The facilities are old, and we didn't use the restrooms and showers though they look to be pretty used up wooden structures. Overall the campground is well kept. There are many long term members staying here, but everyone is friendly. You are a fair distance from services although the Phillips 66 at SR-69 and Texanna Rd is handy and well priced. There is a Camper Store at Texanna Rd & Belle Starr road, but their inventory is limited. Campground staff was helpful and watchful. Although the campground is "out of the way" it is a good place to stop, for a night, week, or month. Wi-Fi is free, but we had good signal on our Clear cards and good cell coverage. We would return here if in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a quick overnight stay. We were able to buy propane here very conveniently. They also have some pull-through overnight-only sites which are wonderful... we did not have to unhook our car. We camped here in a Motorhome.
