Nice place. Pull-thru sites with full hookups, water, 50amp, sewer and cable. Clubhouse, laundry, showers and restrooms. Walmart close by and restaurants. Sites not shaded. We stayed one night. I recommend this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice, friendly park. Large pull-through sites with concrete pads and a picnic table. Were pleased that, as ROD members, we were relegated to the back section. Nice lake with lots of white pelicans and ducks. We were here over Halloween and they had great activities for the kids, including trick-or-treating. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The sites near the road have sewer hookup, but if you're willing to forego the sewer hookup and use the dump station on the way out, the sites on the peninsula look out on the lake and Sailboat Bridge. There are a few large trees so you might get lucky and snag a shady spot. They are working on this park; hope to see improvements to these sites on the water as leveling the RV can be a challenge unless you're willing to park catywompous and forego the concrete pad at your RV door. There is a fishing hut, boat ramp, fish cleaning station, mini-golf, and it seems things are being spruced up. We paid nothing as an ROD member. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park had been badly neglected for a number of years. Now recently bought by Ocean Canyon Properties, which has a lot of work to do on site improvements, bath improvements, water faucets, etc. Again, great potential for OCP, and the future will tell. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Spending a week here under ROD so there is no charge. We are in the front in a pull through site with FHU & 50 amp on a cement pad/patio. It's been raining a lot so we appreciate a high & dry (sort of) site. There is quite a bit of road noise from route 59. The office staff are extremely helpful & friendly. Been here before and will return. Nice laundry facility. Must use external antenna & amp for reliable Sprint cell and internet service. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The park is popular on the weekends and thus becomes full of tents and children. There are very few sewered sites and the office staff isn't aware of where they are located. We found 5 that they were not aware of and were very gracious when we told them. The staff tries very hard to please the guests. The term resort is used rather loosely here. Our family would stay here on a short stay but not an extended stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed here in a 5th wheel, using Resorts of Distinction. This is a membership park on the shores of The Grand Lake O' The Cherokees. Very clean park however some sites were flooded due to recent rains. Will definitely be back to his park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Campground is 12+ miles off Hwy 44. Nice office staff and they take you to your site. Sites are gravel and pretty level. Had to remove our toad as pull through was not long enough but the entrance has nice level area to unhook. Not convenient for an overnight stay. This campground is on a huge and beautiful lake. There is no cable and WIFI was spotty. Very peaceful and quiet with a lot of fishermen. Facilities are older, needing updating, but clean. We stayed in a 40' motor home. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We love this park and stay here at least twice a year when traveling to the south in the winter. It is a quiet park during the time we are here and very relaxing. Would like to see the sites grass kept up better. We do not use the other facilities so cannot comment there. Wi-Fi is not very good but solved that by getting my own 4G network. The owners are wonderful hosts. Been coming here for several years now and will continue. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Have camped here before.. Facility just OK (old) unpaved, dusty. Showers etc old, but functional.. No cable. Wi-Fi weak. Had reservations made in person 1 1/2 weeks before which they did not honor. Obviously not in the clique that they have during music fest. Staff curt, and non customer orientated.. Observed empty spaces that they said they did not have when we went to go to another facility.. Will not use this facility again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The management is very friendly and helpful. Sites are gravel but level. There is ample room to walk the dogs and there are shaded sites. We were able to set up satellite TV with no problems. The park has lake view and the sunsets were beautiful. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Park has gravel access roads and is very dusty/dirty. Wi-Fi advertised but does not work. Check in lady very rude and did not attempt to place our group of 27 RV's together. Empty spaces were not rented, empty RV left on one space and never set up. We will not return as this experience was not a good on. Weather was very good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here as part of a rally with 27 rigs. The rally was organized in Nov. of 2010 and we were supposed to all be together near the lake. We were put on the north end away from the rest of the club and when we questioned it, she said it was because of our size. Lots of the units were the length of ours. People coming in later than us actually got the better sites. She acted like she didn't care. The wi-fi was sucky even though we were about six feet away from the antenna for the internet. It came and went the whole time we were there. She claims this is the first time it has done that. I doubt we will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We love this campground and stay here each time we venture to Grove. The staff is friendly, the restroom/showers are well kept and very clean, and it's very reasonably priced. The park is centrally located, quiet, and the spots while not paved, are quite level. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Sites are pretty close together, but enough room to get the slides out. Quite a few of the sites have nice views of the lake. WiFi was available, but the signal was weak and spotty and nonexistent at some sites. Owners said normally the signal was good. There had been heavy rains recently, so perhaps after things dried out the signal would have been OK, but it never was during the time we camped there. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Above rate reflects the group rate for the aproximately 20 rigs we were with. Has nice club rooms for meetings; the free WiFi had good speed but was very unreliable; the pull-through sites are somewhat narrow; some of the utilities are to the rear of sites, so motorhomes will likely need a sewer hose extension. We would gladly return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sams Club brought the price down, spent 3 nights. This is an older park with "lake view" sites available. The park owners and their staff are very friendly and helpful. Sites and roads are gravel, but along with the grounds are well maintained. Even though we liked this park and would return in future, downgraded from 10 due to the electrical fluctuations and no dedicated swimming area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park has very pleasant and helpful staff. Park is clean, neat and well kept up. The pull through sites on the left side of the park are kind of narrow, an awning on one side and a slideout on the other filled the site completely side to side. Other than that, a very nice stay and would stay here again, only in the backins. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We only rate parks a 10 that have swimming pools, hot tubs, etc., so it pains me not to give this park a 10. This is the nicest park run by the nicest most helpful people around. Has a nice view of the lake, boat ramp and fishing dock on the property, and it's close to shopping. If you go to Grand Lake, we highly recommend this park. We will camp here again if in the area. We would definitely camp here again for sure. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We have driven through all of the RV parks in Grove and surrounding areas and this is the prettiest, cleanest, best lit non-membership park to be found. Very nice owners. We have stayed here one to two weekends each month since Spring. This park is also very close to Grove, the Cherokee Queen, Monkey Island and the local Casinos. We always get a waterfront site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We have stayed at this campground numerous times. Again we had a pleasant stay. The Hosts were nice and the park is clean and neat. Will stay again on our way through. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a clean, well run park with a beautiful location on the lake. The campground staff is friendly and helpful. There is lots to see and do in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Owners were friendly, we were led to the site. We have stayed here before and will stay here anytime we are passing through the area. It is a great campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
There are two areas to the park with the pull though sites being on the left side. On that side, there is no shade for the RV's and while we were there the grass had not been mowed in quite a while. The other side had been mowed. Spaces are a little narrow, mostly grass and gravel mix. Nice park at a reasonable price. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This could be the model for what an RV park should be. Clean, spots not too close, courteous and helpful staff, easy to reach, beautiful setting, well maintained, and all at a modest rate. Only thing it might have to make it a 10 is a swimming pool, since it is HOT, HOT, HOT (and humid) in the summer and the lake's shoreline is muddy and rocky making a dip in the lake an unlikely happening. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice campground located on Grand Lake. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived after the office closed, but someone came right out to get us a spot. Nice size sites. We have a jetski and they had excellent lake access with a ramp and dock (free). Wi-Fi was good. No cable but excellent over the air TV reception. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is our third time staying at this camp ground. This is a nice quiet, clean place to stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay and we will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is clean and well taken care of, and with the recent rain(s) the place is green and lush. Good Wi-Fi is available at no charge. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay here again: a nice place. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have camped here over Memorial Day weekend for the last 4 years. This year there are new owners and you can't tell that anything has changed. Great staff, great facilties. We will continue to come here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stopped here "on the spur of the moment" on our way back from Branson. We had seen some flyers regarding this park while in Branson. The owners are wonderful, and we were given a waterfront site. They have slips available for RV's with boats - this is free. Rates are very reasonable, and everything you could possibly want to do is within 1-2 miles of this campground. Grand Lake is a gorgeous lake (we go there all the time since we only live about 15 miles from there), with great fishing and lots to do. We highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park on the Grand Lake of the Cherokees in NE Oklahoma. There are many sites right on the lakefront and others that are shaded. There are some large rallies that use this site on a yearly basis. Boat dock, picnic ground, meeting hall, etc. Good access to restaurants and all the lake activities. Clean neat operation. If you like antiques visit Harber Village which is a few miles away from the camp. Great catfish at John's just down 59 going south from the entrance. We camped here in a camper.
The most wonderful thing about Grand Country RV Park was the hosts, the Sikorskis. You should meet them; they were gracious, kind, and helpful. Thanks to them, we were aware of local attractions that gave us numerous fun day trips. There was a beautiful nature trail in the state park just across the drive from where we parked our RV. The park was well maintained. We stayed for a month. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Over 50 only. In Okla “Green Country”. On the water – Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees. Off the beaten path, but easily accessible. Easy access to I-44, US Hwy 59 & 69. 14 50AMP & 31 30AMP, very spacious, level, gravel, pull throughs & back in, treed & non-treed sites. Shower, sink & toilet in one room restrooms. AT&T cell & 3G. Privately owned. Told excellent fishing. Fish cleaning shack. Told national fishing tournaments on lake. Adjacent to Nature Trail. Tornado shelter. Nice, large, enclosed pavilion w/ fireplace. Picnic table for each site. Pets per-approved only. 1 mile W. of junction of OK Hwy 125 and 85A, on south/lake side of hwy. Dollar General & 2 conv. stores w/ gas at junction. $25/night...electric, sewer, water, Wi-Fi incl. Call for other rates. Very, pleasant stay. Wind in the trees quiet. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice park. Very clean and quiet. We were in a motorhome.. Would have gave a 10, but no sewer hookups. Park staff helpful. All roads paved. Lots of 30A hookups, very few 50A. Pads reasonably level. Off the path but worth it. Some low hanging trees coming too park from main road in town (State Park Rd.). They have after hour checkin, via deposit envelope into park pay box. Basically serve yourself park. Find a spot then deposit envelope within one hour of parking. Restrooms very nice. Grounds very well cared for. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Just spent 3 nights at Honey Creek while visiting friends with a home on Grand Lake. There are about 15 sites with 50 amp service and due to the high heat and dry conditions, it was not difficult to get one. Sites vary in length. Some 50 amp sites not suitable for big rigs. Main reason for writing a review was that the information posted notes that sewer connections are available. They are not. Only a dump station. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Campground is designed like a private campground. Has close sites with little vegetation between. Does have level flat sites with lots of pavement. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Shady, quiet and within a mile from the stores in Grove, we found this park to be exactly as expected. The park facilities were clean and well kept, the roads and campsites were well maintained, and the pool and playground very nice. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is the restrooms, although clean, were not as pristine as I believe they should be. We really appreciated the security and personal touch the park rangers added to the experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very quiet park in a beautiful location on Grand Lake of the Cherokees. Sites are all paved or concrete. Some sites are quite spacious while others are extremely close together. Most are quite level, but a few would require significant leveling. In April, you have your pick of sites, but in the busy season, you could get a less-than-desirable site. Park is a mile off Hwy 59 on south side of Grove, with very handy access to Wal-Mart and other shopping, yet quiet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
To fish this lake you need a boat (or a friend with a boat). There are 2 boat ramps, with parking for your trailer. The camp sites are mostly level & some have 50 amp. elect., along with city water. Free Wi-Fi internet & a dump station on your way out. Everything was clean & the grass well trimmed. The park is at the edge of town, the city and state police patrol it night & day. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We were looking for a "close to home" weekend getaway. The park is clean and above all things, was very quiet. The park is located on the south side of Grove, Oklahoma. The City swimming pool is located inside the park, but was never a problem. Grand Lake has large areas of open water and is frequented by big boats. The ranger came to our site to collect the money. They were looking for a camp host. Lot's of squirrels. A great place for a family reunion. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park has only 6 spots for nightly rental. All others are semi- permanent. It is more of a trailer park/cabin facility. Very, very tight to get into. Not big rig friendly. The boat launch ramp is an incline railway that you tie your trailer to and lower with a winch into the water. We used a neighbor park ramp. We will not return, as there are many better parks on the lake. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park. Good fishing. The restrooms leave something to be desired and hopefully they will be addressing that soon as they are renovating alot of the resort, adding 7 new cabins and fixing the boat docks when we were there. If this park had a hot tub it would be a perfect campground. Staff and owners were very friendly and the rates for sites, boats and cabins are very reasonable. We will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground is located on bluffs above Grand lake with NO railing or fence DO NOT bring small children here!! All the good spots are rented on a yearly basis. The remaining spots so close together you can't open your slides or awnings. We didn't stay and they charged us $20 plus $8.50 to cancel. We stayed at the Pine Island Resort about 20 miles south, see our review. "We did not stay in this park" We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Management will NOT answer phone after closing, tent campers noisy up into 2 AM, slamming car doors, loud talking, music loud to 12:00 A.M. Noise discipline NOT enforced at all, last night wife could not get to sleep until 2:30 due to tent campers. This resorts so called "quiet time: is supposed to be 10:00 P.M. Management cannot be reached except by phone messages. Sites are SMALL and tent campers are mixed in among the RVers. Stay here at your own risk and IF you stay up into the early morning hours a lot. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

While this park has many things to like about it, it looks like it wants to be a resort and not an RV park. The roads are very tight and trees are all over (one had even fallen and crunched a mobile home). The park has all of the water view sites taken by long term residents, so there are only 6 sites avail for weekenders, so you have no view at all. The park pavilion is right next to the RV sites, and there is no parking, so the users of the pavilion park in front of your rig, and if you want out forget it. People will wander through your sites even when sitting outside. Quiet time is not enforced. We will not camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a great place to stay. It is a little off the beaten path, but it is definitely worth it. It sits on the Grand Lake. Everyone was friendly. The bathrooms, the showers, the pool and the store were very clean. Their are many activities to enjoy including horse shoes, basket ball, sitting on one of the many decks, also available for rental are ski boats, pontoons and jet skis. There was also a boat launch for guests. There is a small fee for the boat launch as the resort sits up quite high from the water. This was great this year as the Grand Lake was flooded. There are many RV's and manufactured homes for people who stay through out the year. The campground has cabins for rent as well. We were only there for one day, but thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
