The park is beautiful! Large, shaded sites with grass in between. Lots of birds! There was only one other RV there, so we really felt like we were in a private woods! Each site has a table and a fire-ring. The downside was the young woman at the gate. She was "new" and didn't have any knowledge of the park, or how to direct us to the RV section, or how to read the site map, or whether or not there were pull-throughs. Luckily with very few people and vehicles there, we were able to drive around and find a site. We would stay here again for an overnight, now that we know where to find the RV section. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Best kept secret in Oklahoma! A multi-use public facility that is family and pet friendly located in rural Oklahoma halfway between Shawnee and Oklahoma City. Very quiet. Malcontents and miscreants are not tolerated. All grass throughout the park, lots of space between campsites and the facilities are very well maintained. The major drawback to this park is the entry gate, which is closed and locked at 8:30 pm. Be at the gate before that time to gain access. You can exit but can not re-enter until 6:00 am. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We went there in nov. of 2001. Well pleased with the park. There are seperate areas for tenters, popups, and trailers, also there is a seperate area for day users, each have their own bathhouses. Good fishing at the lake, also two swimming areas. The city has spent some time and money in developing this park, it is located a couple of miles north of I 40, there is an exit and on ramp at the designated exit at I 40. Each site is paved with picnic table, fire pit, water and electric. All roads are asphalt, and the bathroms were clean, we will go back often. Easy in and out dump station on main park road, patroled by lake rangers. We camped here in a camper.
