This campground is not what is seems. There is no sewer hookup at all. The only way to dump your sewer is to get the owner to hook it up to one of the seasonal units here. We just left this campground with a full tank of sewage because the place to dump is right on the main road into the campground and you end up tying up people trying to leave: very disappointed. It was $40.00 per night and the few sites available were very small. I had to jack-knife my 27 foot travel trailer out of my spot. All the roads at the campground are dead end streets. You cannot turnaround. The website looks fabulous and with free WiFi. DON'T BE MISLEAD. There is not much happening here. It is NOT Big Rig Friendly! If you have a tent trailer then you are ok. Anything over 20 feet you are going to have issues parking your rig and pulling out. We will never come back again. We drove along way to get to nowhere in this campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We traveled as a family and really enjoyed the very clean park. They had it well maintained and the washrooms were always clean and not busy. Our kids swam in the heated pool and played in the beach. With regards to the pump out, the park is environmentally friendly and didn’t allow anyone to pump out if they used formaldehyde (blue stuff). My husband enjoyed the fishing and it was a very relaxing vacation. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a mostly seasonal campground (just over 100 sites - only 17 transient) in the Kawarthas. The draw for this campground is that it is right on Pigeon Lake and has spots to dock your boat. The washrooms and showers were rather old and were not consistently clean. Lots of outdoor activities for the kids - including the pool and the beach area ("inlet" lake- very warm!). Our site was an empty seasonal site near the highway, and there was quite a bit of noise from the traffic, however, sitting by the lake with a book was very peaceful. The owners were very friendly and helpful. This campground was fairly nice and quiet, but we would likely only return if we needed a place to dock a boat. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
