In considering that we would be passing through the Kincardine area late in the day, my wife and I chose this park based on the description in a major directory. Being a Saturday and thinking good parks would not have any vacancies we decided to call ahead to secure a space. We accepted the only pull-through they had left, a bonus as we wouldn't have to unhook the toad. Upon arrival and checking in we saw we were being charged $54 for the site. A bit pricey but acceptable. However in addition to that they were charging $10 as a reservation fee. Altogether with taxes a total of $71.19. I was informed that the free Wi-Fi was only available at the office building, if I wanted it at my site there would be an extra charge of $5. The lady in the office went through all this without blinking an eye. Anyway because of the time of day and that we were tired we bit the bullet and checking in. On the plus side this park presents itself very well. Located on a spring-fed lake it is picture postcard beautiful. Buildings are all relatively new and spotless. Roadways are paved, sites are huge with concrete patios, hookups all work well and are properly placed. All sorts of activities for both adults and children. The majority of the sites are for seasonal campers (?), which are well kept. However due to their outrageous pricing policies we won't be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The most expensive campground in Ontario. It's huge and good for walking around. The so called beach it's a pond with a small corner with sand. They gave us a map for the camp site and off we went. Campsite not level and after heavy rain our site was flooded. We will not go back again! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very clean and quiet park . Not much in the way of activities other than a wagon ride on Saturdays. The sites have easy access and there are hardly any bugs. It's next door to a golf course on one side and a shooting range on the other. The town of Kincardine is a nice little town with a weekly market in the summer. We have stayed here for our family vacation for 4 years in a row. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very busy, reservations required in summer. Adult hours at the pool was a very nice touch. Unfortunately, the local gun club has a location within earshot of the park so if the firing of guns bothers you (or your dog, like mine - she reacted like fireworks and was scared the whole weekend) then don't stay here. Owners friendly, other campers very friendly. Gated, access card required. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
