Big wide open spaces, good internet, friendly people. A bit basic, but we would certainly come here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV park was a disappointment to me. The sites are close together and are basically unleveled grass. Some are difficult to negotiate given the trees. Wi-Fi was awful. The owner was friendly and gave me choices of sites but there weren't any good ones of the five she offered. We moved on after one night and would not return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here the first week in September, the campground and sites are small but clean. We did not use the restroom. They did not have any brochures on golf in the office, besides going into Ottawa for the day, there is nothing to do in the area.This campground is good for a 1 night stay. If you have business or pleasure in the nation's capitol, you can't beat this cg. Almost right in town, just a quick blast down the 417 or 416 to everything Ottawa has to offer. Great customer service too. This is a gem. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is ideally situated. Ten minutes east or west gets you to some great shopping areas. There is a bike path near the park that will get all the way to the Parliament Buildings. We were pleasantly surprised when we first visited this campground. Based on information that I had picked up on the web, I expected the campground to be much smaller. It actually covers a huge area. We have a 40' motorhome. They have sites that accommodate big rigs. Our site gave us total privacy. If I strained my eyes I could just make out the outline of the rig in the next campsite. They do have free Wi-Fi in the office area. My guess is that the campground is just too darn large to pump a Wi-Fi signal through the entire area. Anyway, the campground is gorgeous, the staff are friendly and helpful, the location is great. Hard to ask for more from a campground so close to the city. We camped here in a motorhome. Best experience we have had in a long time, excellent service, super friendly, helpful staff! Extra large sites, few leveling issues, great fire rings and being from the US, found the wood prices a bargain. Laundry clean, $2.00 washer or dryer for 60 minutes also a bargain. Very close to bus lines into Ottawa and bike trails also shopping close by. This must be the best kept secret in Ontario as there were a lot of empty spots. I guess it was getting late in the season. We would recommend this campground to anyone. We spent 3 nights here and hated to move on. Only drawbacks: no 50 amp electric or sewer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

OK spot. Folks that run it are super though. They took us in after another park with whom we had a reservation, decided to close up early for the winter. A lot to be said for hospitality. Pull through sites are short. Our 30 foot motor home didn't leave room for our car, even disconnected. Also, not the most level sites we've seen. The washrooms, showers are rustic, but well maintained. Wireless internet is solid, and fast, but is $5.00 extra per day. (Not included in the rate quoted above.) Oh, and the park is on one of the approach routes for Ottawa airport. It can be a little loud first thing in the morning, especially the short hop, prop planes. Still, overall, not a bad spot, and handy to the city. We would probably come here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has two completely different sections. One lower section has W/E/S and is quite closely packed. Most sites in this section have a front to rear slope, making it difficult to level motorhomes. The upper section has mostly W/E and no services. It is more like state parks or provincial parks with a nice tree cover and a fair distance to other sites for a better privacy. The washrooms are older and could use some renovation, but they are clean. There is an indoor pool, but the room has only a few small windows, and is therefore quite dark. Wi-Fi is 5$ per 24 hours and works quite well. Weekly and monthly rates are available, but I don't remember the price. Especially on weekends there is a lot of smoke from fires, making it difficult for people who don't like to be smoked like fish. In conclusion, a good place to visit Ottawa, but a little investment to bring the sanitary facilities up to modern standards would make it better. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

By giving this place a 5 I'm really stretching the truth. Grass/mud site that had been worsened by recent rain. Next time we visit Ottawa we will NOT stay here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here for 3 nights. It was very quiet. There are alot of older folks who camp here but the overall campground was very nice. It's close to Ottawa and i would stay here again. It has good WiFi connection and the people who are regulars here were quite friendly. If you are looking for a place close to Ottawa I would definitely stay here. Again it was quiet for us although the weather wasn't that good. There is a driving range just over the hill and lots of stores near by to shop. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a perfectly nice, friendly, well-run campground east of Ottawa. $29 for full hookups (30amp) is a good rate for the area, and the utilities worked fine. They turn on/off the electric (hydro) via computer which is odd, so if you arrive after office hours you may be out of luck if no one is around to help you. The pull through sites are the most popular, but the back-in sites near the road are the most private. Road noise bothered our friends but not us, it's a rural road and really isn't bad. The free wifi worked but like many campgrounds was very slow. Our US Dish satellite worked fine. They include a few cable channels in the hookup. We didn't use the facilities, so can't comment on that. It's in a pleasant rural area, and there's lots of vegetation around the grounds, making it a nice place to return to after a day touring Ottawa. Sites have grass and small picnic tables. The route to downtown is a 2-lane highway that turns into a freeway, and beware that the route can be congested during rush hour, increasing the 20-minute drive to up to an hour. Some take buses from Orleans (10 minutes drive east), but with four of us it was cheaper and more convenient to drive and park in a lot in the ByWard Market area. Tip: Ottawa has fabulous easy scenic bike trails along the Ottawa River and the canal where you can ride for miles and miles. The reasons I knocked off points: No view as advertised, slow wifi, uneven gravel pads (new 50amp pads are better but more $), distance from downtown, nothing to walk to from property. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pool was large and clean!! Very noisy (by airport and train tracks). A lot of migrant/seasonal workers camping in their tents (and very close to each other). Wouldn't stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rideau Heights Campsite is located right in Ottawa. The campground is relatively small however, they manage to put a lot of people in it. They take cash only and it appears it is first come first serve as we called ahead and thought we reserved a space, however, upon arrival they gave it away. The management gave no reason and therefore I will never return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is right in the city. It's small but quite well kept. Nearly always full. Just off one of the main highways (#16) that comes into Ottawa from the south. Train track very near the park but the convenience makes up for the noise. Price based on monthly rate. Cash only. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
