Very nice National Park on Lake Superior. The campsites are spaced well and are mostly woodsy with good privacy. Wi-Fi is available at the visitor center. Really helpful ranger/warden with lots of good ideas, suggestions and answers. There are trails to walk and explore including a boardwalk on the way to the cove. Both of my GPS units failed to get me on the right road here so for routing purposes take hwy 627 south from Hwy 17 near Marathon and it will lead you to the park. No store, so bring provisions. I would return here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is the campground at Hattie Cove. There are other camp sites for hikers scattered in the backwoods. Great hikes to the shore & into woods. Very quiet. Site very level on gravel pad. Electric nearby. Visitor center with rentals of canoes, etc. Great scenery along shore. Enjoyed some short hikes during short stay. Will go back to explore more. Friendly staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
