The provincial park is beautiful, scenery unlike any other point of Lake Superior. Falls are nice and a good hike. Campground is rustic and could use some work on the roads. Our site was supposed to be very private (rated on the reservation site as such) but when we arrived we encountered problems. Ours was one of only a few right on the lake with a supposedly private beach, far from the public beach. To our surprise many people came right up to our chairs, fire pit, and picnic table and sat down as if it was a public area. When we told them it was our campsite most were rude and ignored us. We roped the area off to prevent this after being told we did indeed have the right to our privacy by one staffer. The next day a different staffer told us to remove the rope and we'd just have to put up with it. I showed her the description of the site from what I had printed out and she was very ignorant about it. She then came by frequently to "check up" on us to see if the rope was back up. It wasn't. I wrote to the park afterward and never got a response. We were thoroughly disappointed and it ruined the whole 5 days we were there. We were made to feel like criminals who were under surveillance and I'll NEVER return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
