Great Ocean View over the Lily Fields. No showers set up for bigger rigs. Excelent Fishing camp. The owners and managers are helpful and will head you in the right direction for Monster Salmon and Rockfish. They had plenty of free boat and boat trailer parking. We camped here in a Campground Cabins.

Rate reflects the monthly amount. This is a top-notch first rate park. Friendly staff run this place well and are very accommodating. The utilities are very good, the sites are level and the river is beautiful. It's a five minute drive into town and the harbor, and they are both charming. The complaint about the driveway is nitpicking. Sure, it is one lane and it is steep, but it is far from being a problem. The only thing that might approach being an annoyance is the road across the river is a little noisy. It is about 150 yards away and occasionally you hear a logging truck jake-braking down the slight grade. Road noise has not been a problem for me, I just thought it may be noteworthy to some. Golfers, you'll love Salmon Run. Get the discount card if you're here for long. The migratory fish were not running yet, but the trout were biting. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really enjoy staying at this park. The staff is friendly and it is very quiet here. I'm not sure what the Oct. 2011 reviewer was complaining about. Our Verizon cell phone and air card work flawlessly here. (perhaps they should pay for a better service provider) We fished the Chetco River right here in the park and the owners offer a private boat launch and fishing beach to all guests. Just because you can't catch fish doesn't mean you should give the park a bad rating, sheesh!. The driveway into the park is steep, but it is easily navigable if you are a competent driver. There is ample room, although snug, for two rigs to pass if necessary. There is also a pullout area for any outgoing RV to give way to the incoming RV. All it takes is common sense and courtesy. Perhaps the October reviewer should buy a park model in Arizona. Brookings is a great town to visit during the winter months and we have looked at all the parks in the area. We like this one the best because it is out of town a ways and it's quiet here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice clean park about 1 mile inland from Hwy 101 on the Chetco River. Inland means coastal fog usually does not reach the park. Well run, friendly staff. Some sites offer great views of Chetco River from your windshield. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I read the great reviews and was so excited to arrive. First of all the web site advertised fishing and showed many large fish caught in the river. We called and were told the fishing was great. When we arrived we found a long approximately 100 yard 11 to 15% grade down to the park so narrow and steep it was scary let alone it's the only way in and out of the park. If another car or RV is coming up the hill at the same time this could be horrible due to the fact neither would be able to reverse without possibly going off the cliff. After we arrived we found neither of us had cell phone signals. We were surrounded by hills in a canyon. And your on a bank overlooking a stream where there is no fishing allowed. Overpriced and will not return. We had planned on staying a week. Only stayed a couple of days than left. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Level sites, wide enough for rig, slides, and tow car. Excellent people and setting. Get a site on the river, if possible. Has good Wi-Fi, cable TV and is very quiet at night. Steep entry driveway, but not a problem in our 40' rig. My only gripe was that there was only one trash spot for the whole park, otherwise a very good park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved this campground. It is quiet, clean, well run, and very pleasant. We were right on the river which was delightful. The rest rooms were sparkling clean, and the staff was helpful. Don't bring a pet with you if you're staying in a cabin. My daughter brought hers and was asked by an employee if she was planning to board her dog in town. (No extra charge for the sarcasm). We were able to keep him with us at our RV site. We will stay here again, for sure. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Well this park knows the definition of RESORT vs CAMPGROUND. Driving up to this park is a pleasure. We knew it was the one we wanted just on the drive in. Beautiful rock work with lovely plants. Located on the Chetco River. Yes, the ocean is not in front of you but is 1 mile away. It is peaceful here. Wi Fi is amazingly fast. The staff driving around on their motorized carts actually work. One is busy with new people coming in and another we saw was trimming shrubs on the driveway coming in. There are pretty cabins for rent and spaced far apart with fire pits. The RV spots are spaced well. The grounds are kept up and there are firepits right near the river front sites which anyone can use. We are riverfront so we took chairs and walked the 8 feet to the river's edge and enjoyed the birds and river. The price is low for this quality of RV Resort. Don't know about bathroom cleanliness as we do not use the public washrooms. We are staying here for several days and would come back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Quiet at night, concrete pads for RVs, WiFi works great, everyone is friendly. "Grassy" areas between spots isn't grassy and turns to mud in the rain. Woodall's directions are wrong. Call the park for directions. Close to Brookings for shopping, and about 45 minutes to Gold Beach where we took a ride on Jerry's Jet Boats. Whatta blast! Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Prior review is very accurate. We paid a Good Sam rate, for a river site. Showers are 25 cents for 8 minutes. Office staff was polite and informative. Was quiet at night. WiFi and cable TV worked great. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

An interesting RV park. Pull thrus are long but too close together for me. Some of the back ins are also cramped but there are some nice sites here. Good wildlife viewing from the northern edge of the park overlooking the river. Most sites have MINIMAL grass, a picnic table and some have fire pits. Interior roads paved, concrete RV pads with surrounding gravel. It appears at some sites they are removing the surrounding gravel and putting in grass. Good free Wi-Fi - Good cable TV - no road noise - a quiet peaceful area. You will get a charge out of the only driveway in and out of the place - very steep - a little long and definitely VERY narrow. Ya just got to hope no one is coming the other way! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 7 nights on a weekly rate. Great view of the river from the windows of our rig...parked 3 feet from the edge and could watch the birds, otters, and deer from there. Oregon is experiencing a water shortage and campgrounds are not allowed to water their grass, therefore all of the campsite areas were brown...this prevented me from giving this one a 10. Great river access for boating, fishing or swimming. Long, paved, back-in site. The pull-throughs are not too close together so are very comfortable. Peaceful and quiet. Great fire ring at our site on the river. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful flowers everywhere and wild berries for picking. I'm glad we chose to stay here instead of the campgrounds near the harbor that we checked out. It was just a short, beautiful drive to town (1 and 1/2 miles). We had no problem driving our 45' motor home with tow vehicle on this road and the driveway down to the campground was very easy. A few of the "seasonal sites" were a little messy which was a distraction but we just sat next to the river and had a ball. Children would probably be bored here if they don't fish or have a boat. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The pictures on the web are not showing the true beauty of this place. The owner just spent thousands on plants and flowers. The clubhouse has a new coat of paint, new tile in the lobby, hanging baskets of flowers are everywhere. I don't know about all the parks in Oregon but I can honestly say that this park is by far the best from the California border all the way to Port Orford, about 130 miles up the coast. The Chetco River is 20 feet away so you dont have to go anywhere to fish, unless you just wanted to. They have a large freezer (locked of course) so you can freeze your catch until ready to leave. Clubhouse has a pool table, treadmill, fooseball table, boflex workout gym and large screen tv both down and upstairs in the clubhouse. Bathrooms and showers are spotless. We are so happy that we extended our stay for 2 months. Free wi-fi, 70 channels of cable tv and very friendly workampers willing to help in any way. One workamper lent me HIS 50 amp extension cord just so I could have a better view of the river. Paid 370 for a month plus electric which was only 34 bucks more. Can't wait till next summer as we plan on staying for 3 full months next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park to stay at. Well maintained & landscaped. However, park would not honor original terms of reservation made in January 2008, for July 2008. We were a party of 3 families with children & requested 3 adjoining spots. We received an email confirmation stating such terms a few days after we made the reservation. Upon arrival in July, we were told our spots were not adjoining & that they do no guarantee spots. When we showed our confirmation email, we were to we weren't supposed to receive that confirmation. Since it was the week of July 4, there weren't many options to find another park to stay at. Management did give our one separated family 2 night credit for not being in an adjoining spot. Most of the staff was friendly & helpful. Seems the staff was around during the daytime hours. One visitor decided to cut some pallets & other wood with a chainsaw at 9 in the evening...No staff to be found, even with all the noise. I would have rated this park a 9 if they would have honored our original agreed terms & if they showed up to have the chainsaw noise stopped. We will not return to this park, as there are so many other RV parks along the Oregon coast to try. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 5 nights in May 2013 in a 5'er. The park is in an excellent location being directly across from the beach, which is only 30' from our coach. Whales are visible daily about 100 yds from shore and yesterday we had about a 3 hr show. The park itself is rather basic and is literally an asphalt/gravel pad running parallel to the beach. The sites are very close together and have no shade or privacy. The power is good, although only 30 amps, but the water pressure is low and internet access is slow, with a weak signal at our location. The maintenance staff are excellent and very friendly, but the lady in the office requires some customer service training. The area between the park and beach is a public road and beach parking. It is very busy and noisy, especially on weekends. Rates are high for the quality of the facility, but the location and views are priceless. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate was for an ocean view pull-though site. There was a sign notifying customers that 50 amp power was not available at the time. Paved park roads with a few potholes. Site was gravel (not level side to side) with a concrete patio and table. Each site divided by a short wooden fence and a hedge bush. Hookups all worked, but the hedge bush got in the way when hooking up the sewer. There were new sewer hookups placed half way towards the front. Excellent cable TV. The Wi-Fi had a strong signal and was usable for Skype calls most of the time. The laundry had plenty of machines, but some were either broken or not enough heat from the dryers. The laundry was attached to a cafe and both could have used some paint and cleanup. The best part of this park is the view of the beach and ocean. This place is so popular that a never ending procession of vehicles drive by and park across the road from the ocean view sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is operated by the Port of Brookings and is RIGHT on the ocean. The ocean is about 75 feet in front of the pull-through sites. The park is all paved, with wide access roads, which are open to the public since it is part of the Port. The full-hookup, pull-through sites are all 30-amp; they have 50-amp back-in sites, which would be fine if you are in an RV that doesn't have a view out the front. The park Wi-Fi was pretty good, but Verizon (3G) data service was faster, at least at our site (Space 68). There is a cafe/laundromat inside the park. The laundromat is old but clean. If you want the world's biggest hamburger, get the "quarter pounder". It is probably a pound of meat, very thick, extending a couple inches from the bun, all the way around. I'm six feet tall, 190 pounds, and that was the first time in my life I couldn't finish a hamburger. Both the reservations staff and the camp host that checked us in were pleasant and helpful. They let us move to a bigger site when we saw that the one they had reserved for us would have been too short for both the RV and the toad. There is a two-week stay limit, but they do have a weekly rate--seven nights for the price of six. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I loved it here. It is just a strip of concrete on the oceanfront and there are lots of people going by all the time, but you look out the window and there is the Pacific Ocean. You can walk your dog on the beach, have a campfire by the water, walk to town. It was not noisy at night at all. The person who took our reservation was quite nice, but the woman that checked us in was unpleasant at best. I would stay here again no doubt about it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Its all about the sights and sounds of the ocean here. The view is a 10, but the traffic and crowds from the integral county park detracts from the overall experience. It's still the best RV park we've found for being right on the blue water ocean. Also close by food, attractions and shopping within walking distance. Party boats for fishing within walking distance also. Semi clean, hot showers for $1.25 for 7 minutes. This county owned facility tries hard and it shows, though. Park is clean and well run. We camped in a pull through space and will stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This RV park is nothing special and in fact: the bathrooms are public, cold, and the showers cost money. There is a laundromat at a cafe at the end of the park but it is old and very dirty. The park is gravel with cement patios. There is excellent cable and WiFi. That all being said, we loved it here. All of the sites have an incredible view of the ocean, especially those in the front row. The sound of the waves is wonderful. The views of the boats, beach, mountains, etc., is second to none. If I could rate the view, it would be a 20. We had intended to stay one week and extended it a second week once we saw the spot. The ambiance here is incredible. We will definitely be back. If you want a more pristine park, there are others nearby, but you won't regret choosing this one if you love the beach like we do. And the manager we thought was friendly, helpful and caring. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved this place and will come back and stay longer the next time. We had an ocean view site and were about 150' feet from the ocean. You can hear the surf, watch kayaks and surfers, see incredible sunsets and hear sea lions bellow in the early morning hours. There is a cafe open for breakfast and lunch in the complex. We will recommend this RV Park to friends. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Class C coaches should park in the back row which is 7 dollars less than the front row. (With a class C you can't see out the windshield anyway.) They block the park entrance after dark, which creates problems if you have gone to town to shop or see the sights. We went back in the exit, what else could you do. We will go back as you are right on the beach, but will avoid July as it is too windy for fishing. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have stayed at this park, owned and operated by the Port of Brookings Harbor, a local government agency, several times over the past three years. On each occasion, reception staff was indifferent at best, and sometimes a wee bit rude, probably understandable for someone stuck by his or herself in a tiny office, doubtless at minimum wage. Free Wi-Fi, activated at long last, is so anemic as to be almost worthless. When you can get through to the internet, barely half the time, access is at dial-up speed or slower. Paid Wi-Fi is also available, but at $10 a day, approaches rip off pricing. (Verizon broadband signal is strong.) Grounds maintenance is infrequent. But, the park’s location right on the water, with an ocean view at every spot, is incomparable. In addition to the fine, sand beach, just steps away, there is an adjacent two acre, unfenced lawn-covered field. The daily rate for premium sites drops from $37 to $26 on November 1st. If reliable Wi-Fi is important, Driftwood RV Park, less than a block away, but without the view (but with a quirky refusal to accept credit cards), is the better, and cheaper, option. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed in one of the Jetty sites (no hookups). It was $20 a night. We were here for one night and loved it. The view was amazing -- we watched birds and sea lions as the river drifted by. We didn't use the bathrooms so I have no idea about their cleanliness or appointments. They had Wi-Fi available at a reasonable fee ($5/2 hours is what I did). We would definitely come back again. It may have been no frills but the view was amazing! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park consists of two rows of sites. The "back row" are back in sites with 50 Amp service and, in some cases, a restricted view of the ocean. The "front row" are pull through sites with 30 Amp service and a great view of the ocean. You pay a premium for the front row, but the view is worth it. We enjoyed watching the ocean and the people and would certainly stay here again. Too bad there wasn't 50 amp service in the premium sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park is located on a beach with generous parking for anyone who wants to come into the park. The sites are old and rough. Power is 30-amp although they have some sites with 50-amp, but the plugs do not work. Other campgrounds on the road might offer better site options for less money. I stayed here in March 2010, as well as other times. The park's only redeeming feature is the ocean front spaces. The restrooms are "filthy" and the park is a "parking lot". There is constant resident traffic through the park, which by the way, is a public beach. The staff is indifferent to your patronage and dresses like a beach bum, dirty holey T-shirt and worn out jeans. I had someone light a fire very close to my 5th wheel and the smoke was going into my trailer. I called the office and the response was, "What do you want me to do about it?" It seems once they get your cash... "leave me alone!" Doubt I will stay again even though I and my dogs love the beach. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were here during a storm. Not many folks were here, we got a great site looking right out to huge crashing waves. Site are a little skinny but our 34' MH with slides fit ok. Despite the crazy winds and rain, we had power and fast Wi-Fi. The only bad was lots of traffic driving through. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This facility is in dire need of a major face lift. Huge potential as the park is right on the ocean and quite level. There is excellent Wi-Fi. It's very tight for a big coach (ours is 45'). We visited this RV park. The beachfront site was wonderful. The sounds of the ocean lulled you to sleep. No patios, no grass, no flowers, no redwoods. Lots of sand, close to the Harbor, Kite festival walking distance during July. Lots of families enjoying the ocean. We enjoyed staying there with our friends. Highly recommend a week-end here. Park has nothing and is just a big parking lot with close sites. Since it is open to the public for the ocean access kids come down at night, get drunk and play music very loud. There is nothing green here, not one flower. If you want to park by the ocean come here but don't be shocked when the dreariness of this place gets to you. I was at this park last year and they lost my reservation, so this year I decided to make SURE they had the reservation. I called 5 times - no one ever answered the phone. About 3 days later I got a call asking me if I had left a message! I made the reservation and asked the manager to make sure she had everything right because last year it got mixed up. This is a different manager and she assured me it was correct. When we arrive - NO RESERVATION!! We pulled in and they acted like we were criminals trying to steal a space! I tell you, I was hot. After a lot of heated words, they made me call home to get the confirmation number on the letter that I had left there. The manager FINALLY found my reservation - she had put it in a day early! I had had to put up with nasty remarks from her husband about how we were just trying to scam them - and all the while, it was HER fault. Then they just laughed it off and called someone (their boss I guess) and they gave us a free day for the next time we visit (like that will ever happen). I would not recommend this park to anyone. My husband and I were treated so badly that I will NEVER return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Love how this RV park is on the beach, however a lot of traffic and they can park, blocking your view from your site. Level pads, no grass but rock. The sound of the crashing waves can be a bit loud but it is great if you like that. Did not care for the staff. There were literally 6 sights available in our type but the staff lady did not let us choose, stating they were reserved but once morning came, those sights were still available. They have a sign stating you can not reserve a specific sight but can reserve the type, yet not allowing us to choose from the open sights in our type once there. That was frustrating when explaining their own policy to her. She acted dumbfounded. So be firm in that if this happens to you. We got stuck in a spot that was not meant for slides therefore being WAY too small. We would stay again but would be far more clear when we got there. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Oceanfront sites are across in-park access road from steps to the beach. Very nicely maintained, friendly staff. Sites are gravel and concrete only, no grass, but the view and location is worth that small sacrifice. Weekly rate same as 6 nights. Separate dry-camp and tent area at $15. Concrete park-type restrooms/showers were kept clean. City park, not wilderness, but on the ocean. 10 for view & friendliness, down-rated for being an in-city park, no grass or trees. Very nice bathroom/shower/laundry/TV room facility. Some "long term" residents, all polite and friendly. Not a "sketchy" park at all. Clean park, felt safe and well kept. Level sites. Yurts were available and I looked at them and they seemed very nice. Pets and pet areas were available. Black berries all around park. Right across highway 101 from Harris Beach and State Park campground. Walk about 1/2 mile to get there or bike. Downside, just like if you stay at Harris Beach State Park campground, there is a mill about 500 yards north of this area that runs late. Loud mill sounds. We did not find to be a real concern, but I thought it worth mentioning as it is there. If you are looking for a high end facility, this is not it. If you want clean, safe, comfortable place to hang out in the area for good price, look here. Nice place. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Cable TV excellent. Wi-Fi excellent. Park has mostly permanent older trailers with over nighties in the center of the park. Cats and dogs everywhere in the park on leash, off leash. No one cleaning up after the cats and dogs. WATCH you step. We won't stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Small full-time RV park that takes occasional travelers. The roads are paved but very tight if you are in a rig over 30' and you will have to unhook at the office. Sites are very close together and NOT pull through. People are friendly, but I wouldn't recommend this place if you have a rig over 25 feet. On the highway, close to the local amenities. Paved roads, gravel sites, privacy hedges which are very nice, and cement pad.. Washers and dryers do a great job, and it is very clean. Picnic tables only at certain sites. We were in Site 21. Easy to get into but difficult to get out of. People in front of us park the car partly on the street. Had to back out of a pull through and needed to drive on the cement pad. We did no damage. We did not like the big speed bumps. Good location right off I-101. Very convenient to shopping, sightseeing and harbor. We camped here in a Motorhome.

2 blocks from a very nice beach next to the south harbor. Friendly and helpful staff. Sites are very close and graveled although the access roads are paved. Some sites have storage sheds so there must be a market for long term stays. The campground Wi-Fi did not work which was a bummer since we stayed here when we couldn't get a site in the Harris Beach State Campground and needed to adjust our travel plans by Internet. AT&T cell and Internet worked. Sites along the edges of the park are shaded, but interior sites are exposed with only a picnic table and the rig next door to shield you from the coastal winds. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is our favorite RV park in Brookings. Have stayed a number of times before. Older, but very nice owners. A family owned park, recently taken over by two sisters from a brother and are doing lots of improvements. Since we don't like dirt and sand this is perfect. All paved roads and sites. Nice touch is a wooden step to put in front of our door and a table cloth supplied for the nicely made picnic table. Roads are a bit narrow, but not a problem. Just across the road from an RV park on the beach, so it is within walking distance if you wish to walk on the beach. And sunsets are nice from here. Will always stay here when in the area. We are staying a week, so one night will be free making the nightly price $27.00 We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stopped without a reservation and found the office staff very nice. Was given a "pull thru" site but they directed me to the next row over to pull through there and straight across. The sites are gravel, narrow and the longest is 40 feet. The roads are paved but VERY narrow in the lower pull throughs. I had to ask the site next to me to move his truck so I could get out. The park is across the street from a marina and down the street from a shopping center. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had planned to stay at this park three days having looked it over before reserving a spot. However, the morning after we checked in we found we couldn't get our toaster to work and the microwave wasn't heating properly. I checked the voltage and found the site voltage to be down around 100 volts. We were afraid to use our appliances so we left early (bummer) and moved to a different RV park which we really like and will review later. We will definitely not stay at Driftwood RV again. This park is across the street from the beach and the harbor marina. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The park is well maintained and has especially clean restroom facilities. We like this park because of the walking access to the marina where there is a farmers market on the weekends and it is very quiet and peaceful as it is not on the highway. Cash only or a check was a surprise. Was asked if I wanted to unhook, told them whatever was easier for them. Got stuck clear in the back which was full of full-timers. After set up, the owners brought a 5'er and truck back to park, 2 sites down from me. Guess the driver couldn't back up right so he dropped into first and sped to the other side of me to turn around. Missed the back of my 5'ver by 2 feet. He then went up and came around again almost knocking over the electrical stand, running over the sewer connection and hit all the rocks on the side with his 5'ver, tipping it into the air. All while the owner was saying, "What are you doing?" As it turned out, he must have been a friend as he knew a lot of people around. Will not stay here again! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wasn't sure about this place at first, but it turned out to be great. There were level, wide pull thrus and very clean bathrooms. In the evenings we walked across the street to the ocean. Just before leaving for this vacation, I got an offer on my house (selling). The owners of this campground hand delivered faxes to our site so I could call and review with my real estate agent. In the evening (after the office closed) I went across the street to send faxes. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the typically nicely well organized and maintained Oregon State parks. It is situated on top of the bluff near the beach with some of the sites having ocean views. Our site was in the "B" section which is mostly heavily wooded and shaded and close to the highway which results into some road noise. The sites are clean with tables and fire rings and most are fairly level. Washrooms are OK, with some aging showing. The main problem with most of the RV parks near the ocean is the water is heavily chlorinated and undrinkable or for use even for cooking. Having a shower leaves you with a chlorine smell for the rest of the night. Definitely a great location, friendly staff and often some music on the weekend at the park theater. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Oregon State Parks are an excellent alternative to paved parking lots that call themselves RV Resorts. This park is excellent indeed. It has a path down to one of the most beautiful beaches on the West Coast. Our site was well manicured, spacious, and beautiful. The view is nice from about six sites here, but none of the view sites have septic (except the 2 park hosts), so plan on using the dump if you stay for a few days. About one third of the campground was closed during our visit. The bathrooms and showers need heat. Bring your firewood with you as they charge $5.00 for 4 small sticks of wood. They have about 76 cable channels but offer no guide to figure out what they all are. Nice play area for children and the park was quiet and the spots seem to offer some privacy. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Site was a paved back-in and not level. It was in the front row with spectacular views of the ocean and shoreline, but is nowhere near to being on the waterfront. My site had cable TV, but no sewer. The cable TV was good and extensive. There is a dumping station loop near the park kiosk. No Wi-Fi available. I have camped here many times and this park has always been one of my favorites. There are many trails leading to the beaches, buttes, and forest. A fine example of what a state park should be. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Absolutely loved this park. Roads and pads are all paved with 30 amp service. Not all sites have sewer but dump station easily available. Some have electric and cable, but no sewer. Some sites are unlevel, but in general many are suitable for a larger RV. The park itself is a scenic gem. Many of the front sights have an ocean view, but are in high demand. We had no problem finding a site in the winter months. Price reflects winter rate + cable. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As with most of the Oregon State Parks Harris Beach is nice and a very enjoyable park for camping. The bathrooms/showers are clean and distributed through the park. There is no WiFi but good Verizon connection with Brooking only about 2 miles away. The camp sites nearest the ocean have a nice view but are in high demand. This is a busy campground that remains full throughout the camping season and even now late in Sept is still almost full every night. The campsites in the back of the park are near the highway have some road noise and there is a plant of some sort on the main highway that operates heavy equipment that can be heard in a distance M-F. All in all this is a nice State Park. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I’ve stayed at this park a number of times. The ‘A’ loop has water and electric and cable TV. Portions of the ‘B’ loop have water, electric and sewer. The ‘C’ & ‘D’ loops have mixed water and electric.. no sewer or cable TV. The park is generally quiet and well maintained with state park rates well below commercial parks. A sort walk to the ocean. Very nice park: we liked the layout and the privacy given by the trees. Some sites are more level than others and you might need a board or two. Hookups were fine, WiFi would have made it perfect. The washrooms are already a bit dated, could use some upgrades and the cleanliness was what you could expect from a park like this with that many guests. Nevertheless, we will come back again. Terrific campground. The interior roads are paved and navigable by big rigs. The pads are paved. The campground is heavily forested with large spruce, fir, pine, alder, etc. All sites are back-ins, and a big rig will fit in many. About a fourth of the sites are full hookup, and most of the others have water and 30 amp power. Some sites have cable TV; they cost an extra $1/day. There is no longer Wi-Fi in Oregon State Parks, according to a sign at the ranger station. The areas around some of the sites did not drain very well, so they can be muddy. Using an Align-A-Site with a tripod-mounted dish, I was able to get a shot at the 110 and 119 Dish Network satellites through the trees, but it wasn't easy. There was no possibility of rooftop satellite reception. There was a very good Verizon voice and data signal. Oregon State Parks no longer provide Wi-Fi. It's a nice walk down to the beach. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a beautiful and well maintained park. The sites were large and relatively flat. The views of the beach are fabulous and it is an easy walk to the beach. There is a path/bikeway to the nearby town. The restrooms were clean and well kept. This park even has a laundry facility that was clean and in good working order. The campground sells firewood and an enterprising entrepreneur comes by to sell ice and ice cream. A great place to stay and I would definitely return again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved the campground, the location was perfect for touring the southern coast. It was a bit tricky getting into our site, but once it, the site was spacious. Stayed here for four days and it's close to town and the beach. There are numerous walking trails that take you to the beach. Bathrooms and showers are clean and spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. When I requested to change sites to one that was sunnier, they were very quick to help. I rarely give a park a rating of 10, but Harris Beach deserves one. Just about every Oregon State Park we have ever stayed at has been nice, but Harris Beach has got to be our favorite. The park is located high on a bluff in a spectacular setting. Sites in the C-loop have ocean views. We chose a site a little farther back and as close to the park office as we could get because the park ranger advised us that only a few sites get a good Wi-Fi signal and those are the ones closest to the office. The sites are pretty, spacious and private. Our site had electric, water and cable but no sewer. I paid $7.99 for a week of Wi-Fi and our connection was great. During our stay we had very stormy weather and enjoyed some great wave watching. We would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Decided at the last minute to stop for the day in Brookings. Looked up RV parks in, and near Brookings, and came across Harris Beach State Park. I remembered hearing good things about this park, and the reviews confirmed what I had heard. For $18 this is one of the better deals around...30 amp electric, water, and cable TV that has great clarity! Spot is extremely level, and in fact, did not have to level at all. We have a view of the Oregon coastline. Park is very clean, and well manicured. Wi-Fi signal is adequate, but you have to pay $3.99 per day. The good thing is more than one user can log in using the password and user name you create, so it is a good deal. Would stay here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Oregon has one of the best park systems in the country, and Harris beach is a great example of how a state park should operate. We reserved a site ($8 Reserve America fee) since much of the park is closed down during the winter, but were able to trade on arrival for a larger first-come site with high on the bluff with an ocean view. We had an incredible view of the water and sea stacks, and fell asleep at night to the sound of the pounding waves. A large volunteer force keeps the place looking like Disneyland, and all of the facilities are immaculate. One of the few parks with Wi-Fi (pay) and excellent cable TV (included in site fee). Verizon Cell and air card signal were very strong. Although the best sites with views are 30A and without sewer, this is a real bargain at the winter rate. We'll stay here again. Harris Beach State Park was a good campground to stay at with some restrictions. The restrooms, free showers, and camp sites are all clean and well kept. However, our sites in D loop were less than desirable. Highway 101 runs right on the back side of the park and there was a lot of road noise. Additionally, the sites tend to be small and even our tent trailer barely fit into the space. The large amounts of bushes and brush make for very private sites, which is a bonus if you're staying alone, but frustrating if you're traveling in any sort of group, large or small. That said , the sites on the front half of the campground were much nicer and we would love to stay here again if we can get those spots. The beach was beautiful with multiple access points and plenty of room for everyone. The only reason I rate it an 8 is because of the small, noisy sites on D loop. Otherwise, it would be a 10. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We have continually camped here at Harris Beach. It is an Annual trip we look forward to. The campground is one of the nicest we have ever been to. Memorial Day usually fills up the required 60 days before stay. So getting a spot takes some planning on big weekends, but it is truly worth marking your calendar. Other times of the year are not as hard to get reservations for. The weather is always nice, and the tall redwoods give great shelter from the wind, with nice warming rays of sunshine to keep the chill off. An easy campground to walk even when your 7 months pregnant :-), we took our dog last time and had just as much fun. We are heading there this year for Labor day, can't wait for the trip to get here. This campground is affordable and extremely clean. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We stayed in C Loop and could look out over the ocean from our site. And not often found in a state park, several loops provided cable TV. Some sites had full hook-up while others had electrical and water. Some sites are close together, 12-15 feet though privacy is provided by vegetation in between sites. Lots of large trees. Area is natural so no lawns. We had made a reservation so all we had to do was drive in and hook up. Wi-Fi that I subscribed to through road connect in another place in Oregon was available though the signal was very weak. One of the best State Parks we have stayed in. We were in the front area with ocean views and some sun during the day. We had the cable, but no sewer. The sewer sites are in back, we came in for a couple of days and stayed for 8. Could have stayed a couple of more but the fog seemed to have gotten stuck over the coast. A great campsite but the beach access can be difficult for older people. It is a very steep and bumpy drive to the day area and beach access. Very windy on the beach which made it very unpleasant. Basically this is one of the prettiest RV spots on the coast. Love the trails down to the beach and the park is very clean. We did learn that we had been spoiled on other years we stayed here. We had been lucky enough to get front sites with cable. It's hard to imagine a better state park - paved interior roads and sites, wide spaces separated by trees and hedges, super clean facilities, security, and even cable TV and WiFi. This is the way a park should be run. Beautiful ocean views, trails through the woods, and a wonderful playground for the kids. Daily programs for the kids and evening programs for the adults. The staff is friendly and the place bustles with employees and volunteers as they clean sites, trim bushes, etc. Get here early, it fills up fast almost every day. My only complaint about this was that the reservation site misrepresented our space we reserved, A10. I specifically wanted an ocean view site, and ours said it was, but the only way you could see the ocean is if you stood on the picnic table and looked over the overgrown, untrimmed trees. It may have had a slight ocean view 10 years ago, but no way did it have it now. The cable was a nice addition and it had one of the best playgrounds my kids ever played at in a campground. I'd return, but I'll pick a different site. The sites across from the playground have an unobstructed view of the ocean. Also, Harris Beach has the best tidal pools. We saw hundreds of starfish!! This park is located just north of Brookings (1655 Hwy.101N). Well shaded sites are along the winding park roads (not crowded together). You may have one or two neighbors. Park rangers keep a close eye on the park and politely notify campers of any infractions (such as when our tow vehicle was off the paved pull-in site). Only a few sites offer a view of the Pacific Ocean, but all sites are within a ten minute or less walk to the sea cliffs. You probably won't be able to hear the waves from your site, but you definitely will hear the wind in the pines. The beach itself is reached by either a dirt pathway, or by taking a paved road down. The geology of the cliffs and beach is impressive. Rock formations protrude out of the ocean. Sunset became a group event as many walked down to an observation point and watched the colors come and go. This park is a very clean, pretty, and a nice place to stay.

Amazing park to camp in in late October with the salmon runs continuing in the river. Many private and pretty sites with fabulous trees! We got a fantastic site right near the river. We practically had the place to ourselves. Just the hosts and two other campers. Restrooms clean and redwood trail is within a 1 mile hike. If you are in a motorhome greater than 32 feet, forget this park. They have sites greater than 55' but pulling into the site off a 9' road makes this almost impossible. All but 3 sites are in heavy shade so no satellite service. Cell is limited to Verizon only and broadband on Verizon is extremely limited based on site. This is more a campground for small units. Unable to get a 40' unit into a space except 1 and no satellite service. Road in park is challenging. Would be great place if you wanted to get away from about everything. Nice park people. RV sites are surrounded by park models, occupying most of the campground. Not much landscaping, no trees, but since we were here in December, we wanted sun not shade. Middle sites a little close; back sites appear to have more room. Wi-Fi worked, but kept dropping the Internet connection. Walking distance to the port. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is the most misleading place I have ever stayed in almost 10 years of RV'ing. It is more like a senior mobile home park than an RV park. Kids were not welcomed and residents acted as if we were intruders in their neighborhood. The park was clean but that's about the only thing positive. They have some wider spaces that were available but we were put in a narrow space (we have a slide) and there was barely room for a small table between our RV and the next. They told the driver of the 5th wheel next to us to pull as close to the back side of our RV as he could get so residents could park their vehicles next to him. I would not recommend this place to anyone under age 65 or with children under 18. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our mid-August weekend here. As others have noted this park has FHU, cable (70+ channels), and WIFI (it worked well for us at our site near the office). Again, as others have mentioned, there are a lot of park models (and many seasonal/extended stay customers)and the park and sites do not appear to be that big rig friendly. I am not sure how many sites they have available during the summer season for a one or two night stay. Although within walking distance of some restaurants, other RV parks, a public beach, and the harbor, you have to drive to get into town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice rv park with great location in immediate area of Port of Brookings-Harbor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free WiFi, cable, although the WiFi was unreliable at night. Across the street from two local restaurants and nearby to Port commercial center, commercial fishing boat basin, sport boat basin, and another shopping mall. Crab was available for purchase at the dock. Security seems good as owner family member lives on site. Some concrete paved areas, with other areas road paved only. Big rigs can be accommodated. Surrounded by trees and protected from the wind, this is a nice location. About half of the park is composed of newer park models. We would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Small park located near the port. Cramped with tight turns, the spaces are small and close together. Parking for a toad or towing vehicle is very limited. The park is partially filled with park models. Staff very friendly and helpful. Park is clean and well maintained. Compared to the rest of the parks in the immediate area, this appears to be the best one. Not a good place to bring children as there is little to do in the park. Would stay here again for a one nighter but it is definitely not a distination park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I have no idea why this park is rated as high as some of the previous ratings indicate. As previously indicated, the greatest percentage of the park is and continues to be converted to park models. This leaves only a small percentage for RV'ers. If you are looking to meet other RV'ers and enjoy the social aspects of RV'ing there is little opportunity here. The paved spaces are fine and can accommodate even a Prevost as we saw. The Wi-Fi is spotty, the bathrooms are excellent, the managers are nice and helpful. Overall, it appears that the owners are reluctant to spend much money on the place. Examples are overflowing trash container (at times), cable TV that has no local channels (LA and NY why knows why), a little used hodge-podge of a rec room, and a pet area that is nothing more than a gravel area on the side of the park. Based on our initial disappointment with this park (since we planned to stay for a month) we checked out 5 or 6 other parks in the area. As we found they were no better and some worse. So this place is not terrible, just not greatest either. There is much to do in the area, you can walk to the harbor, shops, beach and restaurants. Verizon cell phones work great here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a good overnight stop for us. Lots of park models here and few RVs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We chose this site over others in the area as we needed a good laundry facility. This one was great. Lots of machines and a very clean laundry room. I wouldn't spend more than a night here, as there are more rustic parks in the area with much better views. This park started out being our 3rd choice (couldn't get what we needed at the first, didn't care for the 2nd) but ended up being our best choice. We liked it so much after just one nite, we went into the Front Office the next day and converted from a 3-wk stay to a monthly - and saved money, despite having to pay our electric usage! We liked our wide "premium" site with its glimpse of a water view and managed to eke out a strong enough WiFi signal at least once each day because we were close to the Front Office where the antenna was. The staff was friendly and helpful and bathroom and laundry facilities were kept clean. We had already decided we'd return next summer if we could get our same site back, however, they are converting several more sites to Park Models. One of the permanent guests across from us has been scheduled to move to our site after us due to his row of spaces being converted. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our favorite park in Brookings. It is very clean and has large paved pads for big rigs. They take you to your spot and help you park. One man in particular is very helpful with this and also in answering your questions about places to see. Stores, restaurants and harbor are all within walking distance. We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Riverside campground was a little smaller than we expected, so big rigs need to be a little careful getting in & out. This was the only negative! Everything was well maintained and clean, especially the bathrooms and separate shower building. We had Site #2, on the river, with a beautiful lawn in front of us. The apple trees growing there were a banquet for the 4 or more young buck deer that gathered there twice a day. The owners & the office manager were super friendly, as were some semi-permanent campers. Makes us want to "join the group" for part of the year. This August the weather was about 62 and beautiful, while elsewhere it was in the 90-100's. Right off Hwy. 101 and near the lovely Azalea Garden city park and town of Brookings, which has loads to see and do. We belong to the Elks and met nice folks at their Lodge one evening. We highly recommend this little jewel of an RV park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little park with quite a few long term guests. This was not a problem. Everything was well maintained and clean. Host (owner) was very friendly and helpful. Cable TV and Wi-Fi worked great. Hill on entrance was a little disconcerting, but not a problem. Be very careful leaving with rig, as the entrance/exit is on a curve. Need good "shotgun" viewer. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Another great little campground. The campground itself fronts on the Chetco River, and even has a concrete launch for small boats. A sizable grass area and meandering sidewalk with chairs overlooks the river. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. This was our second visit we and will always stop here on our way down hwy 101. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We moved to this park after having electrical problems at a nearby park. Loved this place at first sight. Small, neat, clean, well kept and very friendly owners. The manager helped us back into our site which was a nice touch. We don't use pools or jacuzzi's so didn't miss them. The cable TV worked fine and the manager placed us in a site that allowed us to use our roof mounted satellite dish. (We can only record programs on satellite). We like Brookings and we love this park. Will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is clean, quiet, friendly & well kept. The cable TV and WI-FI worked perfectly. The full hookups were well placed and in good condition. The showers, laundry and restrooms were very clean. There is a large grassy area with flowers and herbs by the river for all to enjoy. There are benches and patio furniture by the river also. The park is well lit and only about 1/2 mile to town and the harbor. The on site owners are very friendly and helpful. This park is small so you may need reservations. The sites are small but not tight, there is room for slides and awnings. A great quiet and friendly place, we extended our stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were looking for a monthly site. Our arrival was greeted with courtesy and friendliness, making us feel very welcome. When we secured our site, the hostess guided us into the site and ensured we had everything we needed. The park is small but very neat and clean. Mostly long termers, but all very welcoming. The only reason I did not give the park a 10 was the lack of amenities, e.g. pool, sauna, work out facilities, etc. It was a pleasure to stay in this family park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Was skeptical about this place but it turned out to be a great location to tour the redwoods when we could not get into Winchester Bay or Brookings Harbor. Pull through sites can accommodate without unhooking; we chose a back-in waterfront site which worked out well, but had to park the car next to us. The road to the park is about 1 1/2 miles up a winding roadway, and the entrance to the park is down a steep, narrow road which levels off at the bottom. We have a 43' MH with an SUV tow and did not have any problems. One side of the park seemed to be long term/trailer parking, the other transients. Not much to do, but the view was nice and the park quiet. Restrooms were super clean; they charge for showers (.25/8 minutes) in the bath house. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Unfortunately, no fishing allowed when we were here: we were disappointed. Maybe next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful and very clean small park right on the Chetco River. Many of the sites are taken up by seasonals, but there are a few that accommodate nightly usage. The "Premium" sites are riverfront and will accommodate large rigs (ours is 40 feet). There are also grassy tent sites. There is a large grassy lawn right on the river, with flowers and benches, that is available to everyone. This is in front of the Riverfront sites, but that was not a problem in any way. There is a picnic table at each site, and plenty of room for four slides. The owners could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The rate was under $30 with our AAA discount. We loved this park and would definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at the Sea Bird for 5 weeks. We always stay here in the winter. Park is mostly full-timers and is always full in the summer. Manager is very friendly and helpful. Spaces are gravel and close together, but adequate for our 39 foot Alpine. 30 amp is limiting if you use all appliances at the same time. Full-timers are very friendly and was nice to see many of the same people we have come to know over past three years. Park is actually located in Harbor and there is easy access to the beach. No Wi-Fi is a pain, but with Charter cable you can get internet hooked up by establishing your own account. We will stay here again next winter. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a good place for an overnight stay. Most of the sites look like seasonal rvers so they don't have a lot of empty spots for drop-ins. We were in a nice level, long site. Convenient location-close to town and harbor. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating. The website advertised $22. We dropped in and we were quoted $25. I told them the website was $22 ,and they honored that price. (Checks and cash only). Good laundry $1.50 wash 25 cents to dry (15 mins). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow! Sometimes you come across a park that may not be right for you but this one is a true Gem. We booked a week on the recommendations of these website reviews only to find that the gravel spaces were really too small for our 36' fifth wheel. We expressed our concern to the manager who, in turn, called another park and booked us there in a beautiful, premium site with river access! That is true customer service. I would highly recommend this park for anyone who has a smaller RV. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The wife and I stayed at this very nice RV Park. It is located close to town and near the beach. The management was friendly and very helpful with local information. Everything was very neat and clean. It has paved roadways but the spaces are gravel. Hook-ups were all in good condition. My only complaint is their sign is hard to see from the highway and I missed their driveway and had to turn around and come back to them. We will definitely stay at this park again, it is a hidden little gem. I hope not to many people will find it: ha ha ha. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly place. My wife and I love this little RV Park and we will visit it again next year for sure. The park is older but well maintained and the management there was truly a pleasure. They even loaned me a TV to watch during my stay when mine went on the blink. If you are ever visiting the southwest coast of Oregon this is a perfect little place to stay. It is a small family owned business and it's good to see that there are some of those still in operation. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate shown includes cable TV charge. Site was an unlevel gravel back-in. It had a concret patio and table. Nice landscaping throughout the park. Most sites occupied by permanent residents it seems as I never did run into any other transients. Good cable TV. The Wi-Fi only available up at the restaurant. It is okay to sit at a table and use the Wi-Fi without ordering a meal. I was somewhat disappointed that the beach trail from the park was impassable due to high water. Our park info map did say boots were required to use it, but you would need hip waders. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great park, but might be a little tight for big rigs if you are squeamish. We had a 43' Motorhome, and received many comments on our success at getting parked. There is a really neat path through a tunnel to the Whale's Head Beach, a nice little on-site restaurant with bar, and very, very friendly staff. Lots of shade and a very good price/value. This park in on a quite steep hill, paved roads and sites with some grass and tables. The road turns and backing into the sites can be a challenge. We successfully backed a 40 foot motorhome into our site but if the sites across the road were occupied it could have been worse. Needed to do some minor tree trimming to extend all the slides as the park maintains the grass but the sites are not as good. RV also needed some leveling boards under the tires to keep the jacks from lifting some wheels off the ground. Water pressure is fine. This was a 30 amp site and it had voltage issues, no load was 115 to 119 volts but when put a load on would drop to 105 to 110 volts. The on site restaurant had good food and service. All in all I'd look for another park next time. Rate reflects weekly rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We came here because of the Wi-Fi and it was raining and I was not going to walk all the way up to the restaurant for the Wi-Fi. Should have stayed at the nearby state park. This RV park is beautifully located just a short drive or walk to a stunning beach. The park, itself is very clean and the sites are spacious with each site having a small patio and deck for the picnic table. The grounds are very well kept and nicely landscaped. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The rate was one of the lowest we paid over the course of a two week road trip. We would highly recommend this park and can't wait to go back for a longer stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice location. Not at all easy to navigate through the park. If you're not confident in maneuvering there are a lot of other RV parks down the road. Quiet, which is what we look for. Satellite is iffy depending on the site you're in, we requested another site from the one originally given so we could get service. Verizon phone is on one bar but worked OK. Not easy to walk anywhere as it is steep which ever way you go. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here on a recommendation from a friend. Very nice RV park. There are RV sites and cabins. Some of the cabins are owned and people live in them full time. Others are owned but rentals. Cabins are on one side of the park. The park is very hilly and the cabins are up on the top and the RV sites in the lower area. Site large enough for our 32 ft trailer and then some. We were unable to get cell phone reception because we were down in the lower area. But no worries,we just took a hike up the hill! If you have trouble walking be advised you are either going up or going down. The "tunnel" to the beach is really a huge storm drain, actually 3 of them. But serves well as a fun little hike to the beach. Bring a flashlight! No WiFi, but we had a wireless card so no worries for us. Really nice place and the best part is the price. $25.00 a night! Oh, if you want cable TV, it is $1.50 more. If you are going through Brookings, it is worth a stop! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice RV park resort, The office staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant attached to the office / store. The food was very good as we did eat there after we got our rig parked and all hooked up. The park is very hilly and some RV pads are not very level. We were in site OL14 in the Orca Loop which is on a hill side over looking the lower RV sites and it had a very nice view. Our site had a cute little wood deck with a picnic table on it that extended out over hill side. A lot of the upper RV sites have these wood decks. Our site pad was fairly level and clean. They have Wi-Fi but it was only available within the office or restaurant. The restroom I used was not very clean considering this park is well kept. There are a lot of permanent cabins that you can rent or purchase. There is also a culvert like tunnel that goes under the highway to access the beach, but we were told you would get wet walking through the tunnel, So we chose to drive down to the beach instead. The beach parking area had restrooms and picnic tables and was nice with lots of beach area to relax on. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful RV park! The restrooms were clean and the showers were almost as good as at home, lots of water pressure and free to boot! The laundry facilities were very nice and quite economical. When we checked in and headed to our site we thought the one across the way looked nicer and they let us camp there, no questions asked. We didn't stay in one of the cabins but spoke to other people there that really liked them. If you get the chance to go, head a little north out of the campground and look for Indian Sands. A short walk will take you to an amazing natural wonder! The only downfall of our visit was that the tunnel to the beach was very dark and you had to walk thru knee high water to get to the beach. It would have been nice to be forewarned that you need a flashlight and to be prepared to get wet. Because the tunnel was impassable, we chose to drive to the beach, though it wasn't far at all. We are looking forward to our next stay at Whaleshead! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is mostly made up of permanent residents and park model rentals. We were across from the building that housed the laundromat and restrooms. They had six washers and dryers which was nice, but the facility wasn't the cleanest. The bathrooms needed lots of attention. We never saw the managers out taking care of the park. They had some pretty flowers, but the grass was dead. They advertise a tunnel to Whaleshead Beach but there are no lights in it so we drove over instead. It wasn't necessary to have but we didn't have Internet service or a cell phone signal. Their satellite TV was very good. Their restaurant was nice (very good clam chowder) and you could get wi-fi there if you needed it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
