This is no resort. We reserved 5 nights as this was one block from the ocean. We checked in and were given a pull through next to a trailer with junk all around it, including a camper and a boat in a small area. We complained to the lady at the front desk about the mess and she said that was her place. It went downhill from there. We were assigned another gravel pad pull through but in an area where mostly RV's were located. The sites have dirt with clumps of grass between the small sites. We decided to just stay one night but had paid for 2 and reserved 5 nights. The owner said that she would credit 3 nights and we agreed. Instead they charged us 4 nights even though we were just here one night. The park was about 1/3 full and no motorhome stayed more than that one night as it was empty when we left. To get to the beach requires climbing over large boulders up and down to the beach. If you want to stay in the area check out Atriversedge in Brookings. Salmon Run golf is great in Brookings. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Spent 3 nights here with our RV travel group to fish the Rogue River. Site was nice and level with room enough to park our truck and boat. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The clubhouse/rec room was fantastic: 2 kitchen areas, couches and recliners in front of a nice 50" TV; lots of tables and chairs for potlucks and card games. Wi-Fi at the site was pretty non-existent. Walk to the beach was fairly easy and close. Nice cottages for rent. Quite a few residents but they're just as friendly as staff. Would definitely stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice location close to ocean, great staff but dusty roads, dead grass, some sites not level. It is not a RV Resort type of park. We camped with a Good Sam group and had the use of a great club house. I know it is a coastal park but I live on the Oregon coast and it is overpriced. If they would pave the roads and water the grass, I would rate it a lot higher. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wow! 5 star scenery, on the bank of the Rogue River. Immaculate laundry room & showers, great cable reception. Packed gravel sites, clean picnic table on grass next to site. Jet boat tour picks up at the park's private dock. Yes, it is about 5 miles upriver, but that means you'll listen to river gurgling and birds rather than hwy traffic. Friendly, caring hosts. We will absolutely be back! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Small park with a friendly staff. Everything seems to work. Has small sites. I would not be so pleased with this place, but the setting is nice and the other guests very friendly. No fires at night, but they seem to get together every night around 4 or 5 for drinks (or no drinks) to talk on the deck. So guests and management make this a pleasant place to stay in a pleasant setting IMO. We camped here in a Motorhome.

While not a "resort" by our definition, this is a nice small park right on the Rogue River. All sites are back-ins (pull-ins in the riverfront row) and there are a limited number of spots that will handle rigs over 40'. All interior roads and sites are packed gravel, and most involve a 90 degree turn, so ability to maneuver is tested. Access to the park is via several miles of relatively narrow roads, but we had no issues with our 45' rig plus toad, even given the ongoing construction (utilities). Staff is very friendly and helpful, and focused on site/utility upgrades each summer (water service upgraded in 2010). We didn't use the Wi-Fi or cable, but were told they were working fine. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July. The owner of the park was very friendly and helpful, especially with parking our 5th wheel. This is a small, well maintained park. It is not really set up for children, but there is a great city park just down the hill. We enjoyed our stay here and will plan to stay here on our next trip to Gold Beach. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is really small and very busy the day we arrived. The park host was very helpful and friendly. He even helped us maneuver into our spot. The sites were really small and definitely not kid friendly. In fact a comment was made about my kids being too loud which was not the case, they were just playing and it wasn't after hours. It was fine for over night, but I would not want to stay long term. There is also a great Pizzaria, Sunset Family Pizza, within walking distance down the street with a great ocean view and amazing food. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The park owner went out of his way to make my stay comfortable. The site is very well maintained and centrally located in downtown Gold Beach. You can walk to anything you may need. This was my first visit and it was for a month; I wouldn't hesitate to come again. 50 amp service, nice and quite, and a price that can't be matched. Thanks for a GREAT month. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Woodall's says this park has a rec room with coin games and WiFi at the sites. There is NO rec room with coin games and the WiFi was so spotty and poor we couldn't keep a signal for longer than a minute, and that was one row from the building. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We only stayed here one night, Should have booked another night but we already had reservation for the next day at another RV park. The staff was very friendly at check in, The park was very clean and well groomed. The restaurant and pub is closed on Sundays and Mondays and we were here on a Sunday so we weren't able to eat at the restaurant. We did walk around the park to check it out, The little pond was really nice, They even have free fire wood available, Although you are only limited to three logs per night. The other campers were also very nice and friendly. The only reason I'm not rating this park a 10 is because we didn't use the restrooms or showers so I don't know there condition, But as clean as the park was I'm sure the restrooms and showers were just as clean. We did purchase some German sausage from the little store before it closed that evening. I will differently camp here again when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautifully landscaped with trees, flowers, and manicured grass! Sites were blacktop and level. Park is shady, quiet, and on a creek. They have a large rec room with pool, ping pong, and a cafe on site for breakfast and lunch. The owner is very nice. Our only down side was the bathrooms looked old and dark, thus appearing unclean. Had a good nights' sleep. Will return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The location defines this park; everything else is an afterthought. The park is separated from the Pacific Ocean only by a grassy path and sandy beach; a marvelous setting. Sites are paved and level, utilities are adequate, AT&T phone and data service work well. The laundry offered one functional dryer and one functional washer; the restrooms/showers were just okay. Check-in is about a block from the park after picking an available site (so don’t arrive late even with reservations); we never saw any staff in the park providing cleaning, security or maintenance. The picturesque lighthouse, utility boxes and laundry all look sad and neglected. We would return for the ocean access. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed three days in the RV Park for a family birthday bash. There were family members from all over that stayed in the beach house, lodge, cabins and RV Park. This is a great venue that has accommodations to suit everyone and every budget. With every contact, the staff was the most friendly I have ever encountered. The RV Park, unfortunately, has not been maintained. They have let all the grassy areas between the sites die and that makes it look awful. I could see sprinklers, but obviously they don't use them. The fact that you make reservations months in advance does not mean you will get a good site as they let drive-ins take any spot they want (good if you are a drive-in). When we arrived after having reservations for 2.5 months we had two spots to choose from and we could not fit into one of them. We ended up five inches from the restroom roof. The parking pad was asphalt but narrow in our back in site and it was a little difficult to get our 33' Class A in because of the narrow road and angle. They do have pull throughs in the middle but they are closer together. If you are lucky you can get a good site close to the faux lighthouse and beach trail. After you pick your spot you have to walk to the Gold Beach Inn to check-in and pay. Not that far and the grounds are pretty. The really GOOD part is that the beach trail is just yards away with miles of uncrowded ocean beach. You can walk to shops and restaurants. They have a couple hot tubs that we were told by family were nice, but we did not use them. Even with any negative things, this place has a great location (beach and in-town) and with the really friendly and accommodating staff it is a good place to stay while in Gold Beach. And if you go, don't forget to take your craft paint and brush to leave a family keepsake rock in their garden. I think some make theirs at home, then place them when they get there. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you'll see. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a week, the park is OK, many permanent residents in older, but well kept, skirted 5vers. Most sites are not paved, tables mostly worn out. Nice treed area for the river view sites that are on dirt/gravel. If you overlook the fact that all of the Rogue river front parks along the river are 'Fishing Camps' then you'll have the right frame of mind. They have a beach with boat dock - boat launch which is fairly steep (not paved) with large river rocks that would make it difficult pulling a heavy boat out. The nice thing is that this park being 9-miles up river means the fog burns off quickly and is 10-15 degrees warmer than parks on the beach in town. This park is well kept by the family that runs it and has plenty of space, although it may not be between you and your RV neighbor! We camped here in a Motorhome.

First trip to Kimball Creek Bend and had a great time. The road getting here is a bit narrow in places though so be prepared for some slow going. Our site faced the Rogue River, the view was fantastic and the only disturbance to the quiet was an occasional jet boat motor. Great facility; we were with a group and used the lodge for our get-togethers. Will definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We've been going to Kimball Creek for years now and it just keeps getting better each and every year! The owner wrote a cookbook that I highly recommend you buy. They are available at the front counter and it is their family collection of recipes that are just great! The owners are highly involved in the operation of the park and it shows. Everything is clean and well cared for. Don't forget to leave with your share of salmon! The owner's son and grandson are both fishing guides and know the Rogue river like the back of their hands! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We liked this park because it was a short walk across the dunes to the beach. The grassy sites are plain, but adequate. This property is adjacent to a small airport, but in truth we didn't see an airplane all day. Half the sites look toward the ocean, and the other half face the open field of the airport beyond a fence. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here in December and almost had the entire campground to ourselves. The owner tells us things get hectic during Salmon runs late summer and early Fall. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Nice level site. No special amenities, but we loved being able to walk from the campground to the beach. Didn't use the restrooms, but looked at them and they appeared clean, although seemed a bit on the cool side. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in a full hook-up with sewer in the space. The Pacific Ocean is about 100 yards to the west. The Rogue River is about 75 yards to the north. Lots of boats fishing for salmon and we saw 5 pulled into boats. There were about 50 people fishing for perch on the sand spit in the middle of the river. Beautiful weather with a light breeze. We'll be back as often as we can. We camped here in a Motorhome.

More rustic, outdoorsy type campground. Very green and beautiful but everything in Oregon seems to be that way. Management friendly but you didn't see them much. Although I guess we didn't need to. Was not an upscale, fancy park but we will return because of its proximity to the ocean and to the Rogue River. This is what camping when we were young was all about. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nightly rate reflects Passport America pricing. Our site was good for our needs. We had sufficient room on both sides with the slides out. Sites have fire pits. Turtle Rock RV has likely seen better days, as has most of Gold Beach. Previous reviewer is correct in that they have stopped maintaining the grass areas including between rigs. Park has dirt and gravel roads and RV pads. The park looks to be replacing RV sites with park models that they are selling and renting. Tent sites adjacent to RV sites don’t work (barking dogs and campfires). Summary: Overpriced and under-maintained. We drove through a nearby place which would be our choice (by a hair) if we returned to Gold Beach. Don’t miss ‘Rolling In Dough’ Café on the other side of town for breakfast, lunch, or baked goods (limited hours). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground worked very nicely for us as a home base for exploring the area. The regular path to the beach was partly underwater so had to walk up a small hill but it was worth the view of the ocean once you got there! The beach was very nice. The restrooms/showers could use some updating. Also could use some additional restrooms without showers. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at an interior pull through site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
