The strong points are: stunning location on north bank Rogue River complete with working pier and boat launch; sweetheart manager who not only enjoys helping, she's good at it. Weak points are: awkwardly steep entry from very narrow north bank river road inland from 101. Drive the center line; take it slow. Rates are too high for off season; river is too low for the jet boats/fishing. It has a claustrophobic feeling. The place looks/feels tired, but everything (50 amps, water, sewer) works. There is a clear view of southern sky for satellite TV and cell phone/air-card reception. Because it is a hassle to get into, you need to stay a while to offset this. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very friendly staff, and 'ok' campground. We stayed here to take the jet boat ride the next morning as it boarded at the dock right next door. The laundry room was clean and convenient, open pretty much all the time. We would stay here again if wanting to take the jet boat, but not much else to do here for more than one night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The road in is difficult, as is their driveway. Very nice staff. The river location is wonderful. Things are worn but clean. We stayed three nights and would stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We only stayed here one night, Should have booked another night but we already had reservation for the next day at another RV park. The staff was very friendly at check in, The park was very clean and well groomed. The restaurant and pub is closed on Sundays and Mondays and we were here on a Sunday so we weren't able to eat at the restaurant. We did walk around the park to check it out, The little pond was really nice, They even have free fire wood available, Although you are only limited to three logs per night. The other campers were also very nice and friendly. The only reason I'm not rating this park a 10 is because we didn't use the restrooms or showers so I don't know there condition, But as clean as the park was I'm sure the restrooms and showers were just as clean. We did purchase some German sausage from the little store before it closed that evening. I will differently camp here again when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very few sites have ocean views. It is 8-9 miles north of Gold Beach and nearest supermarkets. Yes, there is a stocked trout pond, but it costs $15 to fish for an hour or for the first fish; additional fish are $10 each. We stayed in early June, and the restaurant was closed, but Friday evening, somebody from the park came by and asked us if we wanted to eat in the restaurant that evening. Sites are very level and have average privacy. Flowers are beautiful throughout the park. Laundry is too small for a park this size. Beach is 6-7 minutes away through a trail that crosses Hwy 101. Wi-Fi was okay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Older park. It was quiet, but power was low and tripped my surge protector twice. I could see the Wi-Fi antenna yet its signal was so weak I could not use it. No 50 amp service and shared power pedestal. Very nice owners, but still it is an older park that needs some upgrading. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautifully landscaped with trees, flowers, and manicured grass! Sites were blacktop and level. Park is shady, quiet, and on a creek. They have a large rec room with pool, ping pong, and a cafe on site for breakfast and lunch. Karen, owner, is very nice. Our only down side was the bathrooms looked old and dark, thus appearing unclean. A good nights' sleep. Will return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park would be a 8 if you visit off season. We stayed from late June to mid Aug. and found it very crowded. We were offered a very small space that was all gravel with weeds. There are some really nice sites here but most are small and graveled. You have to disconnect at all most all sites. We had electic go out several times too. Real nice staff and grounds. Gold Beach is a nice town that treats visitors well. We will return to this area again but not to this campground as every one we talked to was frustrated do to the fact it was to crowded. (it looked like a rv and truck sales lot) We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a wonderful time at this campground. We were skeptical at first because the sites were so close together with very little shade, but the short walk over the dunes and to the ocean made up for it. It was quite windy while we were there, but we found a small alcove in the dunes and settled down for four days. The kids loved to play in the lighthouse that is on the site, and would go there before they ate breakfast. The sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep each night. The site we were in was paved and level. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very clean little RV park. No host and not too much to do. Need to go up to the street and over 2 motels to get registered. That was a pain, but they offer leveled concrete sights with grass pads and picnic table. No fire rings. Nice for quick overnight stop when passing through. Quaint little lighthouse to watch the sunset threw to get out of the cold. There is a well traveled trail to the beach. We would stay overnight again but not too thrilled with Gold Beach and would probably bypass to Bandon By the Sea next time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a quirky little park behind some motels. Nothing luxurious, just full hookups, easy access to the beach, and the sound of the waves. You choose your site at the park--- whatever is open--- and walk up the street to the motel to pay. No trees, so great for satellite. We will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this RV park for a week and loved the quiet and peaceful location. We had a riverfront site overlooking the Rogue River and saw hawks soaring and fish breaking the surface, watched the jet boats taking tourists up the river, and saw wild turkeys crossing the lawn. They had some kind of hydroplane boat race over the weekend that was very noisy and annoying, but the rest of the week was blissfully quiet! The people running the park are wonderful and very friendly. They have WIFI but it can be very sketchy like a lot of other parks we've been to. The road getting to the park is narrow and very windy, and you have to take this for 8 miles, but we have a 40 foot motorhome with a towed vehicle and we were fine as long as you take it nice and slow. They have a lending library in the rec room near the river, and a nice little gift shop in the office area. I would highly recommend the riverfront sites if you can get one when you reserve a site. They have a dock you can fish from. We will definitely be back, when in this area again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Location wise this campground has the potential to be wonderful, unfortunately it is rundown and in need of some TLC. We stayed here to ride the Jet Boats as they pick you up at the campgrounds dock, a nice feature. We stayed here about ten years ago and enjoyed the place. This return visit was a disappointment, junk cars and scrap laying about, weeds, and the site we had was at best poor. A power pole and tree to squeeze our awning between, unlevel, and another motorhome backed in to within six inches of us. A full time run down rig next to us with elec. cord hanging out the window across our site at five feet above the ground to hang yourself on. There was a nice site in the center of the campground that remained vacant under some trees with a fire ring and when we inquired about moving to it where told it was reserved for motorhomes only no trailers. Well the last day of our stay the spot had a fifth wheel and pickup camper in it! The area we where in was predominately full time trailers. The restroom for the ladies had only one shower that worked, the other drizzled out and had spider webs on the shower stall ceiling. We will not return here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This basic campground is right on the ocean and we camped here during a huge storm. No amenities provided except location, location, location. Fairly close to downtown. Right on an inlet and the ocean itself. Everything is graveled and I doubt would get muddy. The manager is a crusty old fisherman -- worth the stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This CG is on the beachfront from Gold Beach right next to the small local airport. It is about a 100 yd walk to the river and the beach from here and about three blocks to food and the Rogue River mailboats and four to town... The sites are gravel and relatively level and it is aimed at the fisherpersons that come here. We enjoyed our stay and understand that it can be difficult to get reservations for the summer season. The management was EXTREMELY helpful with local info and even came over and helped us with the hook-up. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

More rustic, outdoorsy type campground. Very green and beautiful but everything in Oregon seems to be that way. Management friendly but you didn't see them much. Although I guess we didn't need to. Was not an upscale, fancy park but we will return because of its proximity to the ocean and to the Rogue River. This is what camping when we were young was all about. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This tired park is slowly being converted to park models. The $32 price is the off season rate. It is on the Hunter Creek, not on the ocean. There is no easy access to the ocean, but rather a rugged path. There are a few pull-throughs. I will stay here again if I need to but I will go up the coast to the Winchester Bay Marina and RV Park if I want to stay for a longer period. We camped here in a Motorhome.
