Older park. Easy pull through, down in a valley next to the Snake river with boat access to the river. Owner very nice. Isolated area with lots of mountains around. We stayed one night but wish we would have had another day to enjoy the beauty around us. Park is clean. Entrance looks kind of messy due to her array of animals (turkeys, goats, chickens, dogs). They are all caged or fenced and the dogs very friendly. We really liked it here but we like simple and not all the frills. Verizon MIFI had a good signal. Evening sunset and morning sunrise were spectacular! Passport America park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here in a 40' motorhome with tow vehicle using our Passport membership. We were in a site by the office. All full hookup sites are 30 amp with large trees. 50 amp sites have no sewer. Around site are roaming turkeys (2, chickens (6) and lots of bugs. 30 amp sites are gravel with grass and level. We cut our 4 night stay to 2. We would probably find another park elsewhere. Park personnel friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here one night, and it is a good overnight place just off I-84, right on the Snake River. We stayed in a pull through spot which more than handled our 62' feet length. The park is a work in progress, but the owners are working hard to improve the park. There are no sewer hookups in the pull through sites, but we were more concerned with having 50amp service as it was hot and we needed to run both A/C's. We used their dump station on the way out. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If you just want a cheap overnight, this place is OK. Park is a bit loosely run. Owner's daughter checked me in, and said that the parents would collect from me later. No one ever came, I had to go find someone to pay. At the time I was there, the pull through sites had been winterized and couldn't be used, only the back in sites were available. Bathrooms and laundry were locked, don't know if you need permission or what to use them. There is some spacing, but not much between sites. TV over the air is rather spotty. All channels you can get are digital, but the channels will fade in and out depending on which way the wind blows. Verizon cellular modem worked fine on 3G. Verizon wireless land line (Home Phone Connect) service worked well. This park is located in the small "notch" of Oregon that is on Mountain Time. However, your cell phone may flip back and forth between Pacific or Mountain Time. Cash or check only, if you want to use credit cards, they will charge extra. Inexpensive place to overnight on I-84. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice level park located on the Snake river with easy access from I-84. This is a family friendly park with a boat ramp, playground and a small grocery store on the property. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice comfortable campground next to the Snake River. There are 30 amp sites that are back-ins with water, power and sewer. The pull thru sites have 30amp power and water but no sewers hookups. There is a dump station on site. Boat ramp and boat trailer parking available near the fish cleaning station. Dry camping is allowed along the river’s edge. Lots of trees in the back in sites with smaller trees along the pull thru sites. There’s a playground for the kids with a basket ball hoop, swings, tether ball and a volleyball net that’s set up. The pictures of the park on their website don’t do the park justice as it was taken in the winter. Nice green grass that was manicured. Nicest owners that you’ll ever run into, they’ll go an extra mile to accommodate your needs. Kids will love the goats that are friendly and in a pen. There are a few chickens that roam free. The only drawback for us was the park owners 2 dogs. They were allowed to roam free (large but friendly) and the male was constantly barking. It drove us nuts!! If you have a dog this is the park for you, rules are very lax and there were more dogs there than I’ve ever seen in a park. Lots of places along the river to walk them or let them run. Never heard any dogs growling at each other, well mannered and happy. Try to get away from the entrance of the park as it’s very busy and that’s where the owner’s dogs spent most of the time wandering around. We would stay here again as an over nighter. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a small, quiet, family oriented park with a long frontage on the river and beautiful mountain scenery behind the park. The sites are gravel and level. There is no sewer, but they have a dump station. Fishing in the river is good with some very big Catfish and they have a fish cleaning station. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a nice small park in a great big gorgeous setting, lots of water frontage with a clean area for fishing and a boat launch. Sunset over the mountains makes you want to stay longer. The park is very clean with level gravel pads and lush grass patios. Owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night but will be back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The owners of the park are new to rv park ownership and want to give all their guests a pleasant experience. As we parked there in December, there was no water available at the sites. Park is very nice. The owners are fantastic. We will return. This park is located on the banks of the Snake River. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park; camp hosts were very friendly. Does not have sewer connection but has an easy to access dump site. Plenty of grass and an enclosed off-leash dog run. Sites were easy to access; the lower sites on the river was closed due to time of year when we were there. Only downside was lots of stickers to get stuck in dogs fur, but nature is nature. Didn't try to access satellite TV, so no idea if that's available. Rate is for disabled vets; if you are a disabled Vet, Oregon's state Parks have a great FREE program for in or out of state veterans We camped here in a Motorhome.
A very nice campground with a nice layout for all types of recreational vehicles. Level, paved roads and sites with picnic table; I'm not a big fan of bugs and there were many, as the Park is located near a reservoir. I've stayed at a couple of Oregon State Parks and I feel the state does a good job at maintaining them. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We've stayed here several times on our way through this part of Oregon. This is a large park with several campground loops, each with its own character. We like to stay in the loop that is closest to the river because so many of its sites have great views across the river to the hills on the other side. It can be quite windy in this loop though because it is more open than the other loops. This is an historically interesting park because it is situated on the spot where the early pioneers on the Oregon Trail left the Snake River and thus it became known as Farewell Bend. We would stay here again for sure. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a nice campground with access to the river. Restrooms and showers were okay, but there are a lot of kids in the park this weekend. RV spots are very nicely spaced apart and big. We have stayed here before and use this as a park to stop on our way home from a long day's drive. Highly recommend if you are planning to simply relax and enjoy the outdoors. No city or businesses to get supplies. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed here for a night. The park is easy to get to and from I-84. The park was quiet; there weren't a lot of campers since it was the off season. The interior roads and sites are paved. The road in the main loop is narrow due to bushes encroaching. The majority of the pull through sites are on the inside of the main loop. There were two located along the closed loop. There are only a few that are level (74, 77, 55, 120, & 80). The back in sites are on the outside of the main loop. They would be difficult to get into and out of due the angle and narrow road. Sites only have water & electricity (50A), no sewer hook ups. They all had a campfire ring and outside table. Not much privacy between the sites. The main loop is shaded with trees everywhere. The trees encroach on the road and sites. Opening slides could be difficult. Some sites (previously identified) offer a view of the southern sky to get satellite reception. Verizon internet was weak and it was really slow. There is a fenced pet area. It was a grass area located down in the day use area at the other end of the park from the campground. It had containers for waste disposal. The geese had adopted the area. There were paths along the river for walking the dogs. We didn't use the showers or laundry room. The park is satisfactory for a short stay while traveling along I-84 but we recommend only those sites previously identified. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Another great Oregon state park. Sites are spacious, shaded with both back-ins and pull throughs - all large enough for big rigs. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great value in late March at 17.00 per night. Very scenic. Convenient to the interstate but removed enough from it to avoid the road noise. Would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have stayed at this park during the off season when most of it is closed, as well as stopping for a lunch break in the day use area. This time we were able to take advantage of the other camp area and found it to be a great place to stop. The staff is very helpful and friendly, recycling bins are provided in the camp area, and the sites are nicely kept up. Our site was a back-in, and our traveling companion used a pull-through (22' motorhome with a 20' car trailer...no problem with the length). There were many campers with boats, and also some people fishing. One of the camping loops was quite full, probably because there were many large shade trees, but the furthest loop, where we camped, was very quiet and pleasant. The "swimming beach" is marginal and very rocky, but still enjoyable for a quick dip. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of my favorite parks. Very quiet and had a river view. Pulled in a few over the air tv stations from Boise. If you have a boat, this is one of the places to be. There are so many campsites from which to choose that I've never had to make a reservation. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Our first stay here. What a relaxing park. Easy to get around in, sites are spacious and very well spaced. A nice river view or a site in the trees. We will definitely come back here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very quiet park. We like the Catfish loop the best because it has good views of the Snake River. Water is incredibly low this summer though, so was a bit disappointed. Horses kept wandering though the campsites this time around. Fun! Water and electric are good, no sewers, but there is a dump. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice for a state campground, paved sites, quiet and private. No TV stations, or WiFi but we were only over nighting. Beware of the rattlesnakes, a big one with 13 rattles was found the week before we were here so be sure what you pick up is your hose or electrical cord and not a snake. Walk around at night at your own risk. If in the area we would stay here again, but inside at nights! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
For a state park where most sites only have 20 amp power, a little pricey. The inside sites of Antelope loop are a bit tight for a larger rig but the outside ones are plenty long enough & roomy. Each site is separated by a 7-9' hedge, but open to the back, giving great privacy. Wonderful camp hosts when we were there. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here three nights. Antelope Loop is the only loop available during the winter, on a first-come, first-served basis. We had a nice W/E site next to the showers. Use of showers included in the rate. Camp hosts and rangers available if needed. Firewood available. Dump station available for a donation. We enjoyed our stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice setting. Paved roads and sites with plenty of grass. From the site we were in, we had a good view of the river. We have stayed here before and will every chance we get. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A nice park with a convenient location for folks traveling along I-84. many of the folks in the park were fishermen and judging by the catfish we saw at the fish cleaning station, they were enjoying success on the Snake River. Mosquitoes were a bit of a bother especially during times of calm wind. During our 2 day visit, most all spaces were full including some occupied by large tenting groups which at times were a bit noisy. There are two principle campground sections for RVs. The older Brownlee Loop is much more woodsy with mature vegetation. The newer Catfish Loop is far more exposed and less charming but had bigger sites, an important note since the older section sites required adept maneuvering to back into and many were suitable only for smaller rigs. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
As with all Oregon state parks, this one is another winner! Very large with rolling green lawns, a veritable forest of trees and open sites looking out over the Snake River. There is a huge boat ramp and docks available for boating and fishing on the Snake as well as lots of beach shoreline for bank fishing and just plain wading and walking barefoot. Lots of folks flying kites here over the river from the sites above. This is a very important historical site as well for the Oregon Trail and is chronicled in the park. One can also camp overnight in a teepee or a covered wagon. Beautiful and relaxing place! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park on the Snake River. Sites were spacious and some were shaded. Must be a popular place as many spaces were reserved for the upcoming weekend. Fenced pet exercise area is too far from the camp area to be at all useful. Would have rated it higher but the mosquitos were vicious! I expected some since camping near water but a control system needs to be instituted. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great State Park sited where the emmigrants left the Snake River and began a long overland journey to the Blue Mountains of Washington and Oregon. The CG is near the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center out of Baker City, Oregon, which should not be missed. Also is the "Gateway" to Hells Canyon and a mecca for rockhounds. We camped here in a Motorhome.
In winter months, much of this park is closed. Even when it's open, it doesn't appear there are more than one or two pull-thru spots. We found a corner, back-in spot we could use as a pull-thru. Arriving after dark makes finding a suitable spot very challenging and the camp host was off duty. This park is far enough off the highway to be peaceful and the river-front location with plenty of trees is lovely. There were 30+ campsites on the loop that remains open during the off season and only one bathroom with one toilet and shower (one M one F), so it appears access could be an issue when more than a handful of sites are occupied. This makes a nice overnight stop and we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This CG is in a great location with views of the Snake River. Many sites are large and well separated from neighboring sites. Highway and train noise is minimal. The only major negative was the poorly engineered dump station. Many larger RV's will be angled away from the dump location due to the location on the brink of a hill. Otherwise this is an excellent park in an area of few other choices. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Enjoyable park, 1 mi. off I-80. Fuel & truck stop near-by. Great scenary off wind swept valley of snake river. Park is located at pioneer crossing site of snake river. Great cat fishing! B loop can be very windy and is newer section. A-loop heavly treed but too tight for big rig to park. Staff at park very friendly. I've stayed here numerous times and never seen the park full. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is near Ontario, Oregon. It has lots of recreation with a boat launching area.
It was very windy and only some sites have any shade. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Typical outstanding Oregon State Park. Very large sites with grassy areas. This review
for Loop B only, the only loop open in April. Loop A was closed, but is much greener and shadier. Only 5 occupants on my visit. Great view of wide Snake River..railroad across the river gave nostalgic and soothing sounds at night, waterfowl and songbirds in the morning. Only drawback...they were cleaning
the restrooms at 7:30 AM, what I considered a high volume time. I was going to say something until I saw the word "inmate" across the back of their uniforms...maintenance apparently performed by nearby corrections facility. They do a great job. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This RV park is closed, buildings appear to be abandoned, rope across entry. There is another RV park right next door, the owners of the park next door stated that this park is closed due to bankruptcy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a wonderful park with friendly owners that really make their guests feel welcome! I had a roomy back-in site with lots of lawn, trees, and two tables. The pull through sites are smaller, but closer to the river. The tent sites are on the river, but nowhere is more than a minute walk away. The owners not only take time to find you the right site, but also check back with you as they walk through the park to make sure everything is satisfactory. Before checking in I asked about restrooms and was told "cleanest restrooms in the state". I stayed a couple weeks, and he was right, they were always spotless, as they are cleaned several times a day. This is in a wonderful secluded location on the river, so there is no television or internet reception without a dish, although cell phones do work. Many of the campers are repeat customers who come to fish or relax. There is an inexpensive coin laundry, and tackle shop in the office. This is the first park I have rated a 10, due to a perfectly clean park, nice wide spaces, super friendly managers, and a beautiful location. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a excellent park to stay at. Friendly owner and willing to make your stay a positive one. Had a pull through and a view of the river. If there is a negative for this park it is that the spaces are a little close. If you have Dish or Directv you can get TV. For those with ATV's there are sand dunes across the river. Oh by the way the trains run all night long across the river, some enjoy blowing their whistles, but most do not. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Clean, pretty, quiet park with small sites. Has NO TV or WiFi. All gravel for most sites. Some questionable rigs were parked here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Passport America rates. Quiet, tidy, level park with grass. Not crowded; casual dog leashing. Excellent Snake River access for swimming and fishing. Hillsides restrict some satellite TV. There seems to be some competition between Catfish Junction RV and Oasis RV. We have never encountered RV parks abutting each other. One can miss the Oasis park entrance and use the Catfish Junction to turn around in. The Catfish Junction owner doesn't like that. If you fish, you pay 25 cents to use the fish cleaning station at Oasis. If you inadvertently clean your fish at Catfish Junction while staying at Oasis, it costs you $5. Catfish Junction has no sewer but larger shade trees which suggests it has been here longer. Oasis has sewer and smaller trees. Whatever park you stay at, it is a beautiful area. If you have an extra day, cross the Snake River and cruise through Weiser, ID, 10 miles from camp, then drive to Streck Recreation Area, 15 miles from Weiser. You will be able to see your campsite from the other side of the Snake River where the paved road turns to hard pack gravel. We encountered a small swarm of Mormon crickets at the campground, black, and two inches long. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park, very nice owner family. If you like to have the Snake River right in your front (or back) yard, this is the place to stay. Close doors and windows though (bugs). Bring enough groceries, this park is far away from the next village. Great rates (Passport America). We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is right on the Snake River, near the Idaho border. It is not right in town, and has a decidedly "frontier" feel. No Wi-Fi or cable TV available. The owner is very nice and accommodating. Propane is available at the park, and the facilities are clean. Lots of grass. Level, gravel pull-through sites. We were allowed to exercise our dog off-leash in a grassy area near the river. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is beside the Snake River. The sites are mostly tree-shaded and level. The park has no public telephone. Please note that only the tent sites are directly alongside the river. Although the park is pleasant, be warned that the bugs are fierce once darkness falls! We paid the Passport America rate. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This was our second visit to this campground, and we weren't disappointed. Although the seasons had changed, and the "nature" that had enthralled us in the spring wasn't there, the campground was everything we remembered. We will plan to return on future trips. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We found this park so delightful that I am hesitant to recommend it to others, thinking that it will become as popular as it deserves, and there won't be room for us on our next trip. The scenery is spectacular, the owners are great, the park was spotless. It was a perfect place for us. We will undoubtedly make many return trips, even going out of our way to do so. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is clean and well kept. We came to stay at the park in January to bird hunt for a few days. But ended up staying for 8 days. We had a great time. Had some days of sun, clouds and even snow. We had full hookup site. We had bird dogs with us and that was okay. The owners were fantastic. They own and operate the park themselves and are doing a great job at it. We would recommend this park to everyone who rv's. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
