Another great Oregon state park. Small and doesn't take reservations, but large, private sites in a very quiet setting. Clean bathrooms and showers. No cable, but able to get good satellite reception. Good base camp for exploring this part of Oregon. One of my favorite places to stay, so will definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We actually stayed here by accident. We were trying to stay at the fairgrounds a few miles up the road, but it had been taken over as a fire camp for fire fighters. This is an awesome state park. The biggest flaw was the angle of the sites to the road. The sites are at a 90 degree angle to the road. Since the road is not very wide, making the turn into the sites can be a bit challenging for longer rigs. I have a 35' motorhome and had to pull back and forth to get into the site. But once you are in, it is way worth it. The pads are all paved, and many are quite long. There are no patio's but the sites are surrounded with lots of grass. There is no sewer at the sites, but there is a dump station. I would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good campsites, cheap price, shady, good place for stop over when traveling through Oregon, it was nice to find this available. Self register, half full when we came through. Lots of places to walk the dog, not much to do around there. Only internet I found was at the local McDonald's. No T-Mobile data service. Very clean bathroom and shower. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice RV Park along the John Day River. The sites are long and fairly level. Great walking along the river and to town. It was a perfect place to park while seeing the area. We saw deer in the park daily. No host on site but we were able to contact the office by phone when needed. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were passing through with our Motorcyle and tent trailer and decided it was time for a rest. This park is very pet friendly so it made it a great fit. The showers and restrooms were very clean. We also spotted several deer in the area and met another couple that was passing through. What a great spot to stop with your motorcyle or just cycling through. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
