Park is very close to the battlefield and a tour van picks guests up from the RV site. Rate is cheap enough. Laundry is clean. BUT big rig sites are not level, and it is impossible to level despite using blocks. We listed sideways our 3 nights here. The big rig sites are set to get satellite TV reception which worked with our DISH. But there is no cable TV reception nor accessible local channels because of all the trees. We called ahead and were promised a site that was not available upon our arrival. They claim big rig access but the staff assigns smaller trailers and smaller motor homes into these few pull through sites. Sites need improvement and lots of gravel fill. It is pet friendly, but they do not enforce picking up dog poop because there was a pile of dog poop at the fire pit at our site. The site also had cigarette butts around, so it had not been cleaned. On future trips to this area, we would not stay here. The park is quiet enough despite the many live ins. Lots of information about the local area is available at the camp store. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for two nights, the rate includes a 10% GS discount. Overall it is a nice CG, with clean restrooms and showers, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is an ideal CG for those who travel with horses, and may be worth the high price for that convenience. On the downside, there is no cable and slow Wi-Fi. The pads are gravel, mostly level, but our site had deep muddy ruts where we needed to walk even though there had been no rain. It is very close to Gettysburg town center. The price also included a free presentation to a diorama of the Battle of Gettysburg which was very informative. (A $3.00 pp value) If a traveled with a horse, I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is for 50 amp FHU back-in site with a combination of PA and GS discounts for a week stay. Roads are combination of paved and gravel, sites gravel. This is a park in a destination locality, so park is large and seems to have grown randomly, so there is a wonderful mix of different types of sites. There are even a section for horse trailers with corrals nearby. Satellite reception depends on you location in park, excellent Verizon cell and 3G. Park has Wi-Fi, but appears to be undersized for the users, as speeds are slow to very slow. Park has many activities, including horse tours of the National Park. A very convenient location for spending time in Gettysburg as it is very close the Battlefield Visitor Center. Good value of the money with the discounts, and we would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed for a week in the 300 section. The interior roads are gravel and mostly in good shape. The sites were not level but manageable. They have a good cable selection but they charge a lot for Wi-Fi. It was weak at times. The power and water pressure was good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very large, family-oriented CG. The rate quoted was based on a week stay. The roads and sites are gravel and are reasonably large and fairly level. We had a very large back-in site and had no problems getting into it. We were here for a Halloween weekend in October and it was an excellently run activity with more than 150 children participating. There is free cable TV, but the Wi-Fi is fairly costly. We were able to get satellite TV reception, but many sites will be too shaded. Some sites are close enough to the highway to get a fair amount of road noise, but the CG management made us aware of that upfront. With the windows closed because of the cool weather the noise wasn't an issue. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We come to Drummer Boy for its close proximity to our home when we just need a quick weekend getaway and we love the Gettysburg area. We've been coming here for several years and have watched the park transform over the years. It's a nice park although a bit pricey but that's typical for today's "RV Resorts" however to charge extra for Wi-Fi and the water slide is a bit annoying. The park is clean and the seasonals, I must say from the many parks we've been to up and down the East coast keep their sites VERY nice. The sites are level and drain well when it does rain. Some of the premium sites in the back, in my opinion, are beginning to become a bit overgrown and need some grooming at this point. It's a nice park to walk around which we love to do with our dog. The park is close to a lot of Gettysburg attractions as well. Overall, a lovely campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nightly rate is based on free camping vouchers from KOA. Second time staying here and this stay was as pleasant as the first. Pool wasn't open yet, but they were opening it up this week. Grounds were still getting spruced up after the winter. Cell phone reception was fine. Showers were very clean. Camp store was offering BOGO on apparel for the weekend and the pancake breakfast was good once again. Had crafts for the children for Mother's Day and had live music on Saturday night which the kids enjoyed. Once again no problems and will be back. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Very clean, despite the previous weeks monsoon that flooded the campground. Sites are private, not 2ft from your neighbor like some campgrounds we have been to. They seem to be more concerned about having a nice campground and not trying to fit 5lbs of stuff in a 10lb bag. They have a nice doggy and kids playground. Only complaint is one member of the staff yelled at my son for playing on the dog park see-saw. I had turned around to pickup some dog doo doo and had just started to say something to him, when she yelled from across the campground. Other than that the rest of the staff was very friendly. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Me and my wife signed up 2 years ago and have turned into regulars there. I have no issues on booking reservations when I use common sense (4-5 days out NOT on the way there). They have an whole new staff and have fired several employees in a effort to make the members more happy. when I had a problem with my RV one of their staff members actually came to my site to help fix it wich i thought was nice but come to find out he actually wasn't even working that day so basically he drove from home just to help us out!!. The bathrooms all tile, cleaned almost hourly, with pedestal sinks and separate showers with bolt lock doors an every stall. This is a park i would recommend for anyone. Just in the past 2 years since my family has been a member they have added about 35 NEW campsites, over $100,000 on the largest pool in the county for renovations, updated most of their electric, built a brand NEW pavilion, put in NEW shuffle board courts, built a brand NEW ice cream parlor, NEW game room and from what i understand is they are paving the roads this spring, mini golf, 4 more cabins and 40 more campsites! show me one resort out there that has done more renovations and additions in 2 years. Our children love all the activities the park throws almost 40 activity weekends per year and they will have the same memories for the rest of their lives. No one can put a price tag on that for me. 10 STARS!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here free as a guest to listen to the opportunity to join their membership. We were not impressed at all for a campground advertising as a resort. We have stayed in many campgrounds that were not labeled as resorts and that were much nicer. For a resort that wanted us to spend thousands of dollars to join, they didn't give us the "royal" treatment. The sites are literally on top of each other; any closer & you wouldn't be able to put out your awning. If I were trying to impress someone and show them "the best", I would at least give full hook-up. We would never recommend this resort to anyone. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This place has seen better days. Many sites were still very wet and/or muddy from the floods of a month ago and while we were there, more rain left us getting out into puddles and then no power. Wi-Fi available for $$. Pool seasonal. Had originally planned for more days, but with what we saw when we pulled into our site, we immediately changed our reservations to only one night, which they were very accommodating with. Sewer connection very far back - check before you set up your rig. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate was with Good Sam discount, they also give discounts for AAA, active duty military, law enforcement, or Fire/EMS. Most of the sites and roads are gravel, that are fairly level. Boundaries are spray painted, but it was a slower weekend, so there was a site between each occupied site except on the creek. Lots of shade in the back sites, they also have field sites out in the sun, and tent sites in their own area. Saw all sizes and shapes of trailers to Class A diesels. Had lots of activities for the families, plus they have a nice play field, and playground. Bathrooms and showers were clean and always being cleaned. Also have a dish wash sink outside the bathrooms which is a plus. Good camp store with Gettysburg souvenirs, hiking sticks, RV parts and accessories, etc. Firewood prices weren't bad, 20 pieces for $10 for the loose wood (not hardwood), or 2 bags for $11.50. Will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We stayed in the "main " campground on site #81.Sites in this section are extremely unlevel, and our site required 4 layers of level links to be level. If we stay again, we will ask to be in the post sections. The staff was very nice.Interior roads are in good shape.Note that WiFi is only available in the office, and cable hook ups are only available at a few sites by the office. It was early in the season , so the pool wasn't open.Lots of Canadian geese and offspring around the campground. Overall a good experience and we will be back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very large beautiful campground. We had a narrow, very woodsy site with a great stone fire pit behind the camper just down small set of rocky stairs. Kids LOVED this site. Learned when we were there we were not in the "main campground" area, but near the "post" section. The place is so big we wouldn't have found the main section if someone didn't tell us. It rained a lot, so we didn't get to do some of the things offered here, paddle boats, shuffle board, mini-golf and more. Only gave the campground a 7 due to no Wi-Fi and just ho hum store & mostly clean bathhouse(only in one though). Stayed here to go to the Apple Festival which was a lot of fun. We will return to the festival next year, and would stay here again due to the beauty of this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff and good interior roads. There was a nice swimming pool and it was well maintained. The Internet service (Wi-Fi) was expensive so we did not use it. The camp site was a level pull through. We had stayed at this campground twice before and we did notice some site power improvements. Many sites have been converted to permanent residents leaving apparently few daily or weekly camp sites. There are some shade trees on the sites. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a pretty nice park. Everything worked and the site was level. Here is why we have given it a lower rating. Too expensive. If you are going to charge so much, cable TV and Wi-Fi should be included. Cable was extra which we paid for and Wi-Fi was extra which we didn't pay for. Our sewer dump was slightly higher than our outlet, so we were unable to totally empty our tanks. The short term sites are right next to Rt 15. There was lots of traffic noise. We would stay again, but only if there wasn't a better alternative We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here over July 4 weekend so it was busy but that did not have any effect on the issues that I had with this campground. First, the showers were freezing cold. We tried using them at different times and they were always cold. Not a drop of hot water in the men's or women's bathroom. Also, there aren't enough bathrooms in this campground. We stayed in a travel trailer and the closest bathroom was a far walk. It was easier to drive to the bathrooms. Our site was also very difficult to pull into as we had small trees lining the site. Campsites are small and close together. We will not be staying here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
