We stayed in a pull-through section for short-timers. Electrical and water were good; no sewer hook-up. Site was level and we had lots of space around us. Pretty CG; if you walk down through the park models, there is a path that takes you down to Lake Erie - not much beach but fun to visit. A bit pricey for no sewer - we did not have a Good Sam card. Verizon aircard was fine. Lots of nice places to walk the dog. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
What i liked it we were not too near the seasonals and the ones that were near were pretty friendly. The grounds were clean and so was the site. The site included a fire ring and picnic both in nice shape. This place was quiet during the day and at night. They are winding down their season, closing this weekend or next maybe that is why. Will stay here again off season looks like it may be crowded in season. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
This is campground with many permanent sites for people staying the summer to enjoy Lake Erie. One can walk to the back of the park and enjoy the view of Lake Erie. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This appears to be mostly a camp for fisherman but there is a section set aside for overnighters that filled up. Gravel sites are level and shady with grass in between. Utilities worked well and TV worked with antenna. Beautiful views of the lake up on the hill and a difficult path to climb down to the beach. There is a rope the last 10 feet to assist you. Nice clubhouse serves breakfast and supper. Pool was closed. 8 miles off highway. Cash or checks, no credit cards. Good stopover. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park with grassy sites. Restaurant on the grounds is a plus. Sites are well spaced and level. Staff friendly and helpful. Lake Erie is just a short walk away. We enjoyed our stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a large campground right on Lake Erie but there are only 15 long, level, shaded pull-thru sites for overnight stays. We had originally planned this for just a one-night stop on our way to Ohio but it was such a nice campground, we decided to stay the extra day and explore Erie, PA. They do have seasonal sites for anyone that might want to make this area their "summer" home and the seasonal residents are friendlier than we've met elsewhere. There is a lot to see and do in this area...fishing in Lake Erie, the Maritime Museum (and lots of other sights) in Erie, and biking/hiking/picnicing/driving along Presque Isle. The campground hosts are very friendly and helpful; showers clean; roads wide; sites long, shaded and level; walking distance to the lake. We would definitely recommend this campground to others who want to spend a night to a week or longer in the Erie/Lake Erie area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The good thing about this place was we were backed up to Elk Creek and could watch fisherman fishing for steelhead. Then this place goes downhill and fast. The bathrooms both men and woman were not cleaned, smelled and the you had to turn on the lights after you walked in and locked the door. The "street lighting" was on all night and was right behind us. We were spaced on top of each other, too close to put up the awning, no picnic table, no fire ring. Would not recommend this place nor stay here again. Too expensive for what is offered. Clean it up, bring the price down and maybe. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
