We had a great time touring the area and played some golf. The owners are friendly and helpful, they even had a concert on Saturday night with a local band and singer, they were very good. We were told about the noise from the races, but it wasn't that bad. We had a great time and definitely would return. Beautiful countryside. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park like setting. Not too crowded. Behind the park is a stock car racing track. You wouldn't know it until they started their engines. The restrooms and showers are awful and need to be replaced. Nevertheless, our stay was pleasant. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a very nice park with friendly staff. Sites are nice size and level. We did not have a low power or noise problem, but we did not use the park on a race night. The park's location makes a good home base to tour the island. The town road into the park is gravel and is very rough. We would use this park again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We were warned, after we had paid for our reservation, about the stock car track next door. It has Saturday night races and Tuesday night practice. If you are not a fan, it is best to stay inside with the windows and door closed. It is loud! We experienced low voltage which made it impossible to use either the microwave or toaster oven. If it weren't for our on board power manager, we might have had more serious problems. Although management denied there was a problem, one of the seasonal campers told us that other campers had experienced similar difficulties. This is a beautiful area full of friendly people but we would not return to this park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a wonderful park to stay in. From it's upper end, one can enjoy a view of Rustico. Sites were spacious, clean and upon arrival, we were escorted to our site by one of the owners. The owners are great people. They are most accommodating to any request/inquiry their campers/tourists may have. Their seasonal campers were welcoming, friendly people who added to the quality of our stay. Bayside is located within 5 minutes of quality shopping. We can't say enough about how well we were treated. We look forward to returning in the next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a Passport America campground and we only payed $14 per night for w/e hookup and WiFi. This is an incredible find on PEI since most places are at least $30 per night. Overall, the campground is very spacious and inviting. The rigs for the Passport America sites are a bit close together on the weekends, but fine during the week. Great owners who were very helpful to us when we needed an extension cord for electric (15 amps). Loved the location (water view in the distance) as we used it as a base for bicycling to the National Park and Stanhope area where they have separate bike trails and then for other days to the Rustico and Cavendish region. Highlight was catching the Fiddlers Weekend with great, great fiddling music! This is the best find on the island given the price. For example, the National Park costs $15 per couple for a day pass plus $35 a night for camping (w/e) for a total of $50 a night. I totally recommend Bayside RV Park! We camped here in a Motorhome.
