Very nice campground. Well treed and shady. Owners live on site and are very friendly. There is a convenience store in the park that carries essentials. A nice town to shop in with great history. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
In 2012 this park is no longer KOA and is now called Indian Head Campground under the Good Sam label. The overall appearance is very good, the size and quality of the landscaping between sites is excellent. The free Wi-Fi is great, the washrooms are clean and well kept but should be upgraded to match the overall quality of the park. The trains are noisy, but don't run very often this year. We will try to stay here each trip along the TransCanada highway. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice campground a little bit outside Indian Head. Most of the sites are pull-through and in between trees. The staff is very friendly and the amenities are in good working order and clean. Free WIFI is available on the sites. Overall a very nice campground - except for the railway line nearby with constant and very annoying traffic 24 hours a day! Would have given a higher rating otherwise! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Campsites are grass and are soggy when it rains. Also there is an active railroad track at the back of the campground. I was awakened several times by train horns. It is also located close to the main highway and gets noise from that also. I know it must be hard to find the perfect location for a campground, but this isn't it! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
