We had planned on staying here however when we arrived we found it looked nothing like the pictures on their web site. Many old RV's that had not been taken care of, and the general appearance was that of a dump. The lady we talked to said they took cash, no credit cards; however nothing was mentioned on the web site, nor was I told that when I made the reservation. Also was under the impression that they had cable TV, but they did not. We did not stay here and am very glad we didn't, as we found a beautiful RV park in Hardeeville, SC. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The staff here is extremely friendly and accommodating. It is very quiet. We had 50 amp but don't know if all sites have it, since this is an older campground, with some permanent residents. We didn't use the laundry house or bathrooms. We would definitely come back, as the price is right and the staff is wonderful. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If you want to enjoy the Hilton Head area and not spend all your money on the RV park rent then this is the place for you. Its low key, nice and quiet, no frills. Kids welcomed too. Lots of space to roam, swimming pool and even free WI-FI are available during your stay. Older but Very clean restrooms and the NEW OWNERS are exceptionally nice making available each and every camper to have a good stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The laundry facilities consist of two washers and dryers; if you don't have a lot of time and money to spend on washing clothes I recommend going to Bluffton and washing them at the coin laundry. The dryers take at least 2 hours to dry the clothes. The pool is open when the administrator decides it's open on no set time, sometimes being as late as 5 pm. The sign on the pool fence states it will open at designated times. They have a TV/rec room that is open haphazardly. The sites are so close together you can watch other campers TVs. Long term campers have weeds growing very high around their sites, while grass moving is supplied, weed eating is not. If you are planning on staying in your camper the whole time you are staying there you will get along fine, otherwise the administrator "nit-picks" about everything you do. Several web sites state that there is a convenience store on site, this consist of two drink machines that sometimes give you a drink if they aren't unplugged. The showers and bathrooms are clean, however the administrator spends hours in the bathroom in the mornings so privacy is limited. Our overall experience in the two months we were there was one of harassment and drama. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
