Sites seemed close. Roads unimproved and rough. We stayed just one night, passing through. Pretty lake at the back of the property. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We called for reservation for a week, and were ASSURED by the Christian owner on the phone that ALL sites had Wi-Fi. So, we made a reservation. (We have an ebay business & need internet access). After we arrived, we were told that we could only get Wi-Fi, IF we purchased a pull through site, (which was an additional 10 per day). We felt deceived but had no choice, so we reluctantly signed. Well, guess what? Still NO Wi-Fi! Other campers were complaining and walking round the property with laptops, like diving rods trying to get a signal. The owner then tried to sell a device to us for an additional $60. How very Christian of her. BTW, we declined. After 3 days a new message was posted on the big sign out front saying: "Jesus is the best wireless connection." I had to pick my jaw up off the ground. We had lost money, because we couldn't conduct business, while we were here. Boy, talk about rubbing salt in an open wound. Though its old, I will say that it is pretty here. It is a rip off: we couldn't wait to leave. This is a bait & switch place, if I've EVER seen one. WHAT a nightmare! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Spent two nights here in our 32' Airstream TT. Rustic wooded setting, very shady. Old but clean restrooms, laundry machines almost brand new. Friendly staff (owners) do their own check-in, cleaning and landscape work. Small sites are dirt or gravel, but not very level (challenging with a large rig). Picnic table and fire ring provided. Horseshoe pit and tot lot with equipment. No pool, but less than five miles to brand new YMCA with gym and indoor pool (2800 Kennerly Rd). About half the sites appear to be seasonal/permanent residents. One mile to Food Lion and freeway onramp, but no noise here. Twelve miles to downtown. Excellent value: $20 partial, $24 full hook-up. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
