Small city park alongside the Missouri River. Very nice, but nothing spectacular. Grasses are returning to the sites, and they are well kept. Restrooms are at the adjoining park; there are no showers available. Water and electric at each site, and a pay station and dump station are near the entrance. Spaces are wide and long, and the park is quiet at night. You can also pay to dump, if not staying overnight. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
A lot has happened to this park since the last review in 2010. The Bad River flooded in 2011 and basically wiped out the campground. There are no more trees, no grass, but the city is trying to redo it. It still has 50 amp electric and water for $10/night. Self register, cash or check only. In spite of the damage done by the flood, this campground is perfectly fine for an overnight and a great value. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Delightful place, nicest in area with wide sites, water and electric at a great price. View of river is outstanding. Historic little town with view of state capital across the river. Sites are level and gravel with grass and no fire rings. It's a winner! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Small however very nice park. Plenty of room between campsites. The sites are level and have good gravel. No reservations: first come, first served. There is a park, playground and picnic area near by. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice small park on the river. Water and electric only, with a dump. Level gravel sites. Gravel interior roads. A super park for $10. Self register. No park host. We backed up to the river. We would stay here again. There are no showers if you need them. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
