This is a rustic campground between Hill City and Deadwood on route 385. Sites are tight but they allowed empty spaces between our 40ft plus coaches. They have cabins available as well, and a store/restaurant on site. Very nice location with good satellite and Wi-Fi but limited cell phone coverage on site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed overnight here to be close to a service location the next morning. It serves the purpose of an overnight stay; long pull-thrus, gravel sites, good power and water. Small trees, dead grass, a bit of road noise, and on the night we were there, lots of empty sites. Check-in is by phone and they'll send someone out to unlock the power box and collect the fee. Surprisingly, the rates do not change during the Sturgis Rally, although even then there were few people using the park. Convenient to the Freightliner dealer and Rapid City, otherwise there are much better places for just a few dollars more. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Used this campground because it was only $30 compared to most I called around here which was $60 and up. Some of the sites were on concrete but I chose a gravel site as it was closer to the showers. Was a good place for seeing the sights of Mt. Rushmore etc. The price is the only thing this campground has going for it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We pulled this campground up on the internet and saw the covered tables which looked really nice. We went after Labor Day so it would not be as busy. Plenty of sites available, but we were given one with out the cover table even though plenty were empty. We were under an apple tree that was dropping rotten apples and birds had been in the tree eating worms and our table was covered with bird waste and could not use it. Major disappointment - would not stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was a nice campground at one time but is declining. They have a very large laundry with two real large front loading commercial dryers along with regular size dryers. The rest rooms were out dated and were not the cleanest. They had pumps for gas but they were not sell gas or diesel products. They didn't really have adequate parking for cars pulled by longer RV's. The staff was very friendly. Their Wi-Fi was very iffy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really liked the ambiance of this park. Lots of mature trees, pool, store, propane and great location to see the local sights. As others have commented, the sites are tight. We have a 39' fifth wheel and did not have any problems, but recommend parking in a site adjacent to the primary campground roads to ensure easy departure. Our truck was parked across the front of our trailer, like most others in this campground. Sites are not big enough to allow the truck to remain hooked up while parked. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Low rating because of where they put us. We were put next to three full timers with many kids with many many available spots that were unused. We checked in saying that we required a view of the southern sky and was given this spot that could not get TV reception. We were given a $5 discount to make up for their error. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The good: Large level concrete spots. Very clean park and facilities. Quiet. The bad: Although the Wi-Fi signal was good it dropped us an average of 10 - 20 times per day. Sometimes just for a few seconds, sometimes for a few minutes. The convenience store and the restaurant were closed. The pool was closed, which is understandable for this time of year, but the hot tubs were also closed...we would have used them if they had been open. Laundry cards...you have to put a certain amount on them, even if you're not going to use it all...and there is no refund. We would stay here again, but would probably try out another park closer to Rapid City if given a choice. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 9 nights. 7 were with Coast to Coast and 2 on our own ($30.50/night). This is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is very well trained with their product and very friendly. We arrived on the day the store, pool and fuel pumps were closing for the season which was unfortunate, but our stay was very nice. Highly recommend this RV park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a small campground in a very urban area but the sites are fairly decent size and provide full hookups. We had 50amp electricity. We lucked out and got the site right next to the laundry room, so we had a nice green grass lawn right out our door. It was an easy pull through site. The price reflects an additional $2. per night for cable but it was digital and had a lot of stations available. We really enjoyed the park, walking and bike trails next door to the campground! The owner was friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again. It's a 26 mile easy drive from the campground to Mount Rushmore. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground has pull throughs which are very close together and about the same number of backins which are not long and quite difficult to access. We experienced noisy motorbikes late at night and people arriving next to us very late at night. The lake is well away from the campsite and the campground is close to the road. It's not a pace for long stays but might be alright for an overnight. In short: no ambience. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed in one of their deluxe 2 bedroom cottages, since my sister and brother-in-law and I met up there. We stayed for a week. Beautiful clean cottage with absolutely all the amenities one would need. Kitchenware and utensils were complete in their well designed kitchen. Beds were extremely comfortable with extra bedding provided. Clean and well maintained bathroom. The outdoor grill was amazing; we had to use it a couple of times. Fireplace was wonderful when the day turned cool, but the heat and air conditioner was more than able to maintain comfortable conditions. This is the nicest cottage I have ever stayed at and would highly recommend it. Campground/cottage is located in a quiet area; even had some deer and rabbits around, although there was no evidence they had been there. This family owned place is absolutely wonderful! We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

I felt like I was stacked like cordwood. Our windows faced the next guy's wheels and on up the hill. I've stayed in "tiered" parks, but this was a mountainside. Each kid was extra too. Come on! People camp here in motorhomes, there is not going to be excessive water or sewer use! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this campground numerous times and have enjoyed the spot. Nice view and owners and staff are especially nice. Older park and could use some street maintenance, but restrooms have been completely remodeled and very nice and clean. Good exercise to get to the pool if you park on lower part, but I need the exercise so it was good. We are in a smaller RV which makes it easy, but I see people with large ones and large 5th wheels get in even though it looks difficult. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here 3 nights. One night would have been enough. Interior roads in poor shape. Camp sites small and tight. Little to no grass and overall visual impression very poor. Staff were friendly and helpful (almost as if to overcome the poor ambiance of the facilities). Bathrooms were exceptionally clean..impressive. Grossly overpriced, even considering it was Sturgis motorcycle rally week. Would not plan a visit here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Entry and access roads were very narrow and washed out in many places causing our rig to tip excessively. Sites are very narrow as well and are very hard to pull or back into with rigs longer than 32ft. After three attempts on a long pull through and minor damage to our trailer we left for another RV park. This park/resort would be fine for travel trailers and popups with lengths less than 25ft. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Okay park. Large. Pretty busy. People coming in after 10:00PM. Good location. Office staff were nice. Don't know if it is because we got here later in the evening, but the restrooms were not very clean. Had been well used: toilet paper on the floor, etc. If you want an overnight park, it will do. But again, very busy park. They line the RV's up nose to nose. Typical KOA: pay for everything as you go. Nothing included except for hookups. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Easy access to I-90. VERY windy setup. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Clean campground and nice laundry facility. The kids enjoyed the pool. Most attractions were between 30-60 minutes away. Unfriendly staff. Our spot was on the back side of a cattle pasture which made the smell and flies a problem. The wireless Internet was out of range an way to complicated. It also was a 10 dollar fee for the Internet. Overall for the price it was lousy. The only perk was a pool to relax in the record setting heat. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We were delighted with this resort. It is conveniently close to Mt. Rushmore and the scenic drives around the Black Hills. Check in was friendly and casual; we were assigned a long back-in site, ideal for our 39ft 5th wheel and truck with room to spare. There was good separation from the next site and shade from tall pines behind. Satellite TV was a little tricky to set up but successful in the end. This is a large park with lots of grassland, tenting areas under the trees, pull-through sites, it does have an open parkland feel about it. Our dogs enjoyed the dog run and the "nature walk" at the edge of the property where we saw deer on several occasions. Families staying at the same time seemed to have great fun at the playground and pool. We are members of an affiliated membership RV group so the price per night is a best guess. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for several days. The sites are mostly level and grass. Good location if you are looking for a central location to see the surrounding sights like Mt Rushmore, Custer State park, Sturgis, Deadwood, Badlands, Devils Tower and other attractions. This is the place for value and also convenience to Rapid City. This was the lowest park that we found with hookups. We enjoyed our stay and will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was an older park with not all of the extras. Perfect for us older folks. We stayed here because it was a Passport America park and because they advertised pet friendly. The owner was kind enough to let our golden retriever out several times during the day and made sure she had water and the air conditioner was on while we were out on a bus tour. Not a fancy place but clean, quiet and perfect for a stop while seeing all the sights of Rapid City and area. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an average campground. Gravel sites are fairly level. Very little shade. I stayed here at end of season. The campground closes on October 1st. I would have stayed a few more days, but when I registered the owner told me $30 per night included the Good Sam discount. Checking their website later, I found that the advertised rate is $30 before any discount. I was gouged. Buyer beware! We camped here in a Motorhome.
