Very nice KOA, clean with wide level site and grass between them along with picnic table. Laundry room is very nice and clean with various size machine to handle larger loads. Office staff was friendly and made sure you got into your site and happy with it. We stayed here for 3 nights and would come back to this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here overnight on the way to Nebraska. Overall a good place to stay. Easy on and off I-90. A little noise for being so close but not bad. Site with and without trees are choices. Wi-Fi and cable very good. Very clean restrooms and showers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

WOW – this is the WORST campground we have encountered this year. We have been traveling full-time since January and this is the first time that we were really uncomfortable. Don't get me wrong, the campground offers full hook up at the steep price of $44/night and they do have the typical KOA amenities; however, the NOISE is RIDICULOUS!! Our site was on the side of 90HWY and even with both A/C units on during the day, the noise was so distracting. We work full-time from our RV and thank god for Bose headsets that restrict background noise. On top of the highway noise you also get the military plane noise to replace the monotony of diesel air brakes throughout the day. WiFi is unusable even when there is no one else in the campground and with a booster. The staff is very nice and really they must be saints to work camp here. There is a pool, but you are not allowed to have a beer at the pool so we never utilized it. In my journal, I have written the words "I HATE THIS CAMPGROUND" each day we have been here. This is a first and hopefully a last. Looking forward to leaving… We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a good enough KOA. The sites are level and access to the Interstate is easy. Speaking of the Interstate, it is pretty close. If you want 50 amps you will be able to throw a rock (please don't) to the Interstate and be out in a treeless field. Only 30 amp sites have shade but the shade there is sometimes very good for those hot days. The staff is very particular about taking you to your site. (Walkers too? Maybe.) So just go with the flow and let them take you by the hand and do what they want you to do. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects KOA membership and cash payment. Easy on/off the interstate. The campground staff was friendly and helpful. The gravel sites are level with picnic tables at each site and shade trees. We stayed here on our way home from out west. The campground has good access to the freeway. The campground staff was friendly and was able to accommodate my request for a long pull through so I would not have to unhook my truck. The sites in this campground are level and utilities are logically placed, but they are closely packed together. The campground does not have fire rings ... if you want to have a campfire you need to rent an above ground fire pit from the office. Because of its easy access to the freeway this campground makes a good overnight stop but because of how close the campsites are together I probably wouldn't stay here more than a couple of days. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground has seen site improvements over the past few years and continues to an easy assess, effective stop at somewhat higher costs. There is little grass at pull through sites and some highway noise but that was no surprise. Nice pet walk area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Typical off the freeway KOA. Good for a quick stop, but I would not plan a stay here. There was a lot of road noise there, but one should expect that because of its location. The place is clean and well maintained. I rate it low because the actual pool hours do not align with posted hours which is a problem if you are looking for a pool for the kids. New to RV parks and new to writing RV park reviews, so I'm giving this KOA a 7 of 10 based on the 3 other places we stayed at on our first RV trip ever. I think if we were rating just KOA campgrounds, I would give this KOA an 8 or 9 rating. The only facility we used on site was the dog run area, which was the nicest of all the places we stayed. We did not use the bathrooms or showers, but the buildings we did see and entered were all clean and I would expect the facilities to be nice. As expected, there was little grass and fewer trees, and not much shade. The campground is basically gravel. It was very clean, there was plenty of room to move around, and the RVs were not parked on top of each other. I wouldn't want to spend a week in this campground, but it was an excellent safe place to have a relaxing quiet evening on the way to our destination. I would recommend this KOA and will probably stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is very good for a one night stop over. It is not a destination campground. Campground is located between I90 and the airport. Easy access from the interstate. Our pull thru site (and ones around us) was short and required unhooking. Sites are gravel. The area where we stayed lacked trees. Bit hot when it is 100+. Staff in office friendly and helpful. Would have rated a 5 if the cable network did not have problems. All digital stations had a weak signal and broke up frequently. Would consider staying here again if traveling through the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at this KOA campground for 3 days while rested on our way home to Arizona from Maine. The campground is good for overnight stays but would not recommend for anything beyond a few days. They are located right next to a freeway in an industrial area with a lot of road noise. Most of the people we spoke with complained about the wind. The people were very nice and the campground in good condition with excellent TV but the WI-Fi was poor when it was full during the holiday. It is a little narrow and somewhat difficult to maneuver but we did see a few large motorhomes. The laundry room was the best we have seen in all of our years of being on the road with plenty of new machines and low prices. The only thing they were cheap about (compared to others) was they charged you a rental fee to use a portable fire pit. We give them an honest 6 rating but the location, Wi-Fi, noise, and wind kept the score low. They should plant some wind-break trees along the freeway that will help with the noise and wind. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The gentleman at check in was as nice as could be and led us to our W/E site. It was long and level. Cable, wi-fi, and Verizon signals were all good. The park looked clean, and they have a 24 hour laundry. The bathhouse near us was closed for the season, and we did not check out the other one. This was an overnight stop, and all we were looking for was a good night's sleep. We rarely hear road noise, but this night we got almost no sleep due to highway noise. It is way too expensive to leave very tired in the morning. We will not return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great campground, nicely laid out and well-maintained. The sites are spacious and the facilities are excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi worked well. As mentioned by other reviewers, the main drawback is highway noise. It didn't bother us but some might find it objectionable. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

OK: this is a tough one as this KOA is in good shape, has many of the things you look for, including a dog run, pool, and was generally clean. But: it is RIGHT on the interstate (I-90) and road noise is pronounced. During the day fighter jets roared overhead. So yes, it's not a bad campground if you don't mind the noise. It does seem there are an awful high amount of KOAs along highways nowadays. Not sure we would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a decent spot for an over night stop, but not much more than that. The sites are flat and gravel and the pull through's are long enough not to have to unhook your tow car. However, the price is excessive for the location. The park is so close to the freeway that I saw family playing the "license plate game" from their camping site (identifying the state that the car was from). No effort has been made to provide a sound barrier from the road noise in the form of a wall or even a tree line. Throw in the noise from the large planes that regularly take off and land from the nearby airport, and this park is not an attractive spot to stop. The staff is friendly enough, and the park clean, just over priced for the location. I would look around for a quieter, less expensive place to stop for the night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Price reflects VK discount for a satellite-friendly, gravel pull through site. There is highway noise from I-90 but easy access from the interstate. Pool was nice and there were shaded and open sites. The K-9 off-leash area was fairly large compared to other KOA's. Clean and well kept but the price seemed really steep. Already very pricy at $43 (with KOA discount) for a shadeless gravel spot next to the highway, they wanted to charge another $3 for an "upgraded" site because our rig is 39'. They knew this when I made the reservation, so they backed off. Our site was wet and muddy because of over watering newly planted tree. They were nice enough to voluntarily bring wood pallets for us to walk on. I thought it was interesting they had these on hand. Highway noise, drunken fighting and motorcycle noise 2 rigs away kept my wife up all night. Burning tire smells from the highway. The guy next to us left really early because he was so upset over the conditions. So glad it's only 1 night. I would not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

First impression was just great! We were greeted by a very friendly staff, check in was quick and painless. They escort you to your site, and waited to see if everything was OK with the selected site. Our site included free cable TV. I hooked it up and it was terrible. I thought about just setting up the dish, but first to the store for a treat. I asked the staff if the cable had any issues, they said they thought everything was working. By the time we returned to our site the manager had his "test TV" hooked up and said there was a problem and he would fix it right away. In 15 minutes we had a great signal. Sites are gravel and level, a little road noise but nothing we couldn't handle. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Grounds were extremely well-maintained. The location right off I-90 and in the flight path of Sioux Falls Regional Airport provides some noise. The staff was totally friendly and service-oriented. What a nice campground and extremely nice management. Campground roads are gravel, sites are gravel but very level. Many nice shady spots, pull throughs, picnic tables, grass between sites, 2 areas for showers and restrooms. At least one laundry. Small store with essentials. Campgrounds are right off the highway in an industrial area, but the campground is well kept, neat and clean. Sites are nice sized. We thought this campground management went the extra mile to be helpful and friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stopped for an overnight. Extremely attentive park manager. Arrived after closing- just as the staff was leaving the office. Manager saw us pulling up, and came back to check us in. Didn't feel rushed... answered all our questions. Very clean campus. Hook-ups in perfect working order: cable coax, breakers, sewer, water. Buildings maintained and clean. Children's playground very well kept, and diverse... my 8 year old loved the biplane. Only drawback is the proximity to freeway and airport. Otherwise, highly recommend. Rate includes KOA discount. We stayed at this park a year ago and do note some improvements. The playground has been upgraded and a basketball hoop area installed, plus the mini golf area seems to be cleaner. The campground seems less dusty this year possibly because new gravel has been laid. Highway noise is a huge problem for this KOA and tenters as well as campers with open windows should be aware that all night truck traffic can keep you awake. With our motorhome air conditioning on and closed up we heard the noise, but not as prominently. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This seemed to be a very busy campground. Easy off and on the interstate. Campstore was well stocked. Showers and restroom near front office area were always filled. There was a restroom/showers farther away from us, but less convenient. Our site was a well-shaded, back-in space that backed up to another camper. Our hookups were much longer. Wi-Fi was weak and intermittent when we were here. Overall, this rated as an average campground for us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Easy access to I-90 but close to an airport. Sites were somewhat close but we only stayed one night while traveling. The pool was clean and warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. We came in for a one night stay to meet some friends that were camped here. Otherwise we would have picked another park. The staff was courteous and friendly; they let us drive around the sites and pick one that would match our needs. Our site looked level but we ended up having to raise the front end about three inches. The pricing structure is confusing as it varies from site to site based on length and services. There is an airport close by and a truck terminal close by, so if you want peace and quiet during daylight hours, this is not the place. For the price, I would expect paved roads, pads, and patios. We would stay here again if needed, but would try the campground at Canton first. Presently there isn’t a review for it, but it is in the directories. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We usually only use KOA Campgrounds for overnighters on the way to somewhere else, but we stopped here for a week so my wife could fly south for a wedding. Easy to find, but right beside the Interstate so there is some traffic noise. The campground was very busy during our stay but the facilities are kept clean and the park is very well maintained. We stayed in site #D12. First I want to say this is the 4th KOA we have stayed in for our tour of the west, and it is also the most expensive at $53 a night. The next closest was a $40 night stay. This park is NOT worth that. You are between I-90 and a truck terminal that is very busy, as well as the airport. The airport I don't mind because I live near one at home and don't notice it, but I mention it because others might. Sites are all gravel with a little grass in between and no privacy. Site was FHU and has a picnic table, cable TV and Wi-Fi which was a good connection. Need a water pressure regulator for your hoses here. If you want a fire you have to rent a portable firepit because of local and state regulations with no outside wood allowed because of beetles. They have a heated pool, and mini golf ($2 person) with 1 free coupon in a welcome packet. The bathhouses were clean as well as the park. The section we were in was not shaded but easy to maneuver around. It looked like they were installing a basketball goal near the mini golf area. The office staff ladies were very friendly and helped us with directions. When I told her that this was the most expensive KOA we have now stayed at, she tried to lower the cost but it only went down $3. We are a 35 ft MH with a toad and a 12 year old which we paid $2 extra for. After checking the prices on RVreviews, I found out that we are paying the highest rate in 3 years except for 1 other customer. Based on that I would not stay here again when there are many other parks in the area that are a better deal. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very clean RV park with lots of room between units. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and we were able to pick up a few things we needed in their little store. The freeway is close so you can hear the traffic noise but the good part about that is you are close to getting back on the freeway. They have a great dog pen to run your dogs in. We pulled in at nearly midnight and expected the place to be closed. We were pleasantly surprised to find an outside "night desk" set up with happy staff. They helped us fill out the forms and showed us around the camp--even though it was late at night. They were very kind and generous. If you are into noise, this is the place for you. On one side of the campground is a truck terminal. On the other is I-90, then a train track and then an airport. In our opinion, this park is just okay for an overnight as there is very little else in the area. The sites are fairly level. The grass is barely alive. You are also very close to your neighbor. Cable TV has very limited offerings, can do as well with local over the air, satellite was fine in our pull through, 50 amp full hookup site but site wasn't as level as it should be. Verizon air card worked very well, didn't try the WiFi. Staff friendly and helpful. Close to I-90 so there is road noise and the airport is not far away. Commercial flights not a noise problem but military flights during the week were. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is over-rated and over priced. Does not deserve the KOA name. It is in a noise hallway--between 4 trucking companies on one side and I-90 off-ramp that had truckers jake breaking all night long. Additionally the airways are filled with commercial airliners, cargo planes and air patrol. Pretty expensive for off season rate and no sleep. No amenities open except Wi-Fi which was weak and a pathetic cable line-up. Older woman who registered us was crabby and never smiled. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We tried to book a site here. Every time I talked to the lady I got a different rate. The owner was unavailable. She was a go between. The quote she gave me was outrageous! She said owner would not give a month rate so people would be able to leave if they didn't like the park. Never heard of this before! We have a 2008 5th wheel and a 2008 truck. So it couldn't be our rig. We had business in the Sioux Falls area for a month. But will not stay there! Many more parks with reasonable rates and friendly staff that know what they are doing. The managers stayed late to check us in (we had a freeway detour that got us lost in Sioux Falls). Very friendly staff, clean park, clean facilities. Utilities worked as listed. I-29 is right next to the park so freeway noise may be a concern (it didn't keep us up). Pretty standard KOA with friendly owners and staff. Camp is right on I-90 intersection so there is truck noise. There is also jet noise from the nearby airport and national guard airfield. However, this rarely bothered us possibly because it was hot so we were inside our motorhome with the AC on. I downgraded because of the noise. Our nightly rate was based on a weekly rate. This park was decent and clean enough and easy on/off the highway. The highway noise is nearly intolerable. We will be leaving here to move to a quieter campground at 1/2 the price (based on monthly rate). I need a good nights sleep which is impossible here. The bathroom and laundry facilities are superior. Some of the best we've seen on our cross country trip. The staff is nice and helpful. They provide you with a lot of information about Sioux Falls and what to do in the area. The problem with the campground is the location. It's located right off the freeway so the noise was constant. We stayed in the back of the park and could hear the traffic all night. There also isn't much to do in the park. There was limited place to walk our dogs. The grass had many prickly weeds so watch your kids. We wouldn't stay here again unless it was late and we needed a quick place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very nice campground and the staff couldn't have been more courteous. We only stayed overnight on the 20th of July. I had asked the manager where a store might be close by to get a few groceries. She asked me if I was still hooked to my trailer and I told her yes, so she insisted that she would have a staff member take me to the store. I thought that was just great. I would stay here again. The staff was very friendly and efficient in the check-in process. I made the reservation on line indicating a 35' motorhome towing and it has slides and was assigned a back in site with water & electric. Had the confirmation sheet showing above information so it was not my error. The price was $29.41. When we arrived they said the site would not be big enough and assigned us a back site along hwy (yes there is noise)and it was $14 more hence the $43 charge which I thought was a bit high. A very nice and convenient park. The only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is that it's right on I-90 and highway noise is constant at night. However, this does make it a convenient place when traveling, lots of folks (like us) were heading to or coming from the Black Hills. Campground is well kept, neat, clean, great playground for kids. There is an RV dealership right next door, and a few campers had pulled in for the night hoping to get a repair there the next day, it's good to know. We had to have new tires and went to Ben's Bargain Barn instead. While there don't just overnight, take an hour and visit the Sioux Falls falls park: it's a nice place. Not very impressed. As previous reviewers have stated, most of the small sites are full time families/workers with many in construction. It is 50 yards from I-29 in a business area. Very dusty site, hardly any grass, and after it rains there are huge puddles and muddy conditions. The few pull throughs are tight with hardly any space between sites. The couple who run it are friendly. But without a discount for Passport America, the $36 fee seems way too high. But what do I know, they were nearly full! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Part of the RV park is an old trailer park that is being converted to RV spots. We are in the part that is being converted. The site we are in is mostly dirt due to construction of the site. Water is hard and rusty. Use a filter. We put our softener on too as we will be here two weeks. The owners and workampers are trying hard to make it nice. Our rate was based on being a customer of AR mail forwarding in Sioux Falls ($150/wk). We stayed here to register our vehicles, get drivers license, register to vote. Location was close to downtown area, maybe 15 minutes from the falls in town and 5 minutes from where the big mall is and all the stores surrounding it. Highway traffic noise did not bother us that much. They just built a brand new bathroom. Campground is really in 3 parts. 1 part is for seasonals, 1 part for regular camping and 1 part with efficiency apartments (looks like a motel). This is a good park with wonderful managers. But it has some issues. It has two areas and the overnight/short stay area is superb, but the long stay area, especially the pull-through row, is cramped. If you are a full-time RVer and use Alternative Resources as your mail forwarding company, you can get a discount. But the P.A. discount is limited to off season. Be sure to make a reservation as they do not have much drive-in spots available. Wi-Fi tends to be sporadic. I stayed here in intense heat and a drought for a month and it became quite dusty. There was a weekend when power was erratic, but the problem was resolved on the first weekday after. You are close to food, shopping and many local attractions, the best of which is Falls Park, which has a light-laser show during the summer season. This is a difficult park to review, the pros and cons are many. Pros: great location to access downtown Sioux Falls, bike path. We had a large, level, shaded back in site with good utilities. Each site had a picnic table, but no fire ring. The owners are friendly, and working hard to enlarge and improve the campground. The cons: noise, noise, and more noise. I guess the heat was a blessing, as we ran our A/C with windows closed and blocked out some of the trains, planes, and automobile racket. They just built a brand new bath house with showers. Did not look like it was even used yet. They are working on expanding the campground by adding more sites. We stayed here one night in a 5th wheel on our way home from the East Coast. We chose it because it was close to the freeway and low cost. It is an older RV park with permanent residents in the existing portion a new park under construction – the site was an old trailer park that they are converting to a RV park. They had 10 spaces available. The office is in an old garage building, I think. If you have a very large rig, you may have some problems managing some of their narrow roads but we did see some big motorhomes but in back-in sites. We really didn’t like the campground and would not recommend for a long term stay as the noise is bad, no Wi-Fi, new spaces are laid out poorly, but the owners are nice. An overnighter is okay as the price was good. There is a KOA here but the price is $41 a night and always full. With this said, the best we can give this campground is a 3. We stayed here for almost two weeks. We were never bothered with "noise" from the street. Perhaps we are immune or deaf? It seemed to be a nice quiet setting. The couple in charge are just great and try very hard to meet your every need. Construction work is being done on the property but we hardly noticed. Bike trails are handy to the Park as are many other amenities in Sioux Falls. Sioux Falls is a lovely City. Falls Park is a gem. The bike trails are super. If only someone could halt the winds. My one and only disappointment in this Park was the extremely poor WiFi Signal. Thus the "5" rating rather than a 8 or 10. Terrible signal and frustratingly erratic. Spoke to the owners but there was no attempt to fix it, or, if there was, it didn't work. We would not return because we have great need of WiFi for our banking and to keep in touch with family in Canada. Too bad that, right in the center of Sioux Falls, they couldn't fix the WiFi Signal. Seems there might just be a lack of will? Everything else in this Park was just fine. Including a very clean and well appointed laundry. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stopped here for an overnight stay on our way to Madison, SD. We planned on staying near Madison to complete our full timing residency. We liked it so much here that we decided to stay for a month. The price reflects the monthly charge. As others have stated, it is noisy here but the noise is so constant that it becomes a "white noise". You get used to it and it didn't bother us at all. The hosts were very attentive and friendly. They would often stop by to chat at night when we were sitting outside. This is a favorite campground for people getting long term treatments at the local hospital because it was so convenient. There is a convenience store across the street and a fast food restaurant next to the store. The other campers are friendly and we still write to a couple of them. Park claims to be "big rig" friendly. It is not friendly to class A motorhomes larger than 30' and having slides. The pull through's are approximately 12' wide with trees on each side. The branches hang too low for good clearance. We now have new scratches from the branches to remember this park! Also, located in the flight plan for the airport (noisy) and much road noise. No amenities and you cannot even sit next to your rig due to the narrowness of the sites for the larger coaches. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Right off the I-29 a couple blocks, a great overnight spot to stop. Do yourself a favor and stay a extra day and visit Sioux Falls. This was supposed to be an overnight, but we stayed over just because it was a pretty nice town, easy to get around in, and they campground was great. Very helpful and friendly staff, level gravel sites. Good power and water, we had a back in, but there's plenty of room to maneuver in the on the first shot. Would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped in what I gather is the "new" section of the park. The sites are large and shaded with mature trees. The price reflects a weekly rate. We couldn't get satellite reception but there is an excellent, free HD cable system. There is free Wi-Fi but the Verizon signal is 4G and was excellent and too good to give up. The owners are extremely nice and accompany you to your site. One unique aspect is that trash is collected at your site in a large outside trashcan that you keep where it is convenient for you. No walking to the the dumpster. Airplane noise can be a bit loud if they are landing in the right direction, but the good news is that there aren't a lot of flights to Sioux Falls! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a no frills campground close to freeway and town. Full hook-ups with cable TV and free WiFi- note if you have an older TV the office will provide you with a small box that attaches to your TV to pick up all the cable stations. Our site was a gravel pull through with shade trees. The spots are very tight with no room for a table. The bathroom and grounds were clean. Cost reflects passport America discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are so impressed with the improvements that are ongoing in this park. They have lovely big trees and lots of grass in one section. It looks like a park. The older part is not as green but it is still very good. The Campground is just off HWY 29 which makes it very convenient. The hosts are just wonderful. This is our second stay and we are happy to recommend this Campground. Just remember to make reservations as they do fill up most nights. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a difference new owners make! There is already a huge improvement in this campground. Trashy trailers and the old house have all been removed, and the grounds have been cleaned up. Very accommodating owners for those in Sioux Falls to take care of residency business. If approaching the campground from the interstate, there is a barrier on US 42/12th Street that prevents a left turn into the campground driveway. Go pass the campground and turn left at the next traffic light. Go around the block by turning left at the first named street, left at the T, and then right at stop to be on the correct side of the Tower Campground entrance. The campground office is in the large white building on your left as you enter. It does not look like what you might expect for a campground office. Sioux Falls is the home of the 114th Fighter Wing of the Air National Guard and depending on weather conditions, the fighter jets' take-off may fly over the campground which is very loud. Frankly, makes you want to stand up and salute! We camped here in a Motorhome.

First, you could not ask to meet nicer people with respect to the owners. The campground is extremely clean, and it is easy to maneuver within the campground. The front of the campground is the older section, and the spots are tight. Not much more room than having the picnic table between you and other RVs. The front section is more like a parking lot with nice trees within it. This is where we were told the "construction" people stay. I take it this is for the folks working on the Interstate, which runs behind the campground. There is a newer section to the campground that has mature trees. The neighborhood surrounding the campground on two sides is "sketchy." There are mobile homes, apartment buildings and businesses around you. I observed some people walking through that did not appear to belong in the campground. As I mentioned, the campground does back up to the Interstate, but also you enter from another main well traveled road. I am sensitive to road noise, so to others, this may not be a bother, but I do think it is higher because of exposure on two sides. But, it appears other campgrounds close to Tower are also on the interstate: KOA & Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp. If you have business in Minnehaha county, the campground selection is slim unfortunately. In spite of the owners, we won't be staying here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I would not stay at this campground unless you cannot find anywhere else to stay in this area. It was like parking in a truck garage parking lot with an extremely noisy freeway running along one sides of the park. There was loud traffic noise all night. The older section is nothing but pavement with the sites very close together (no grass at all). They have a newer section that does have some grass and trees that looked OK but there are very few sites in that part of the park and they were full (and there was a lot of traffic noise there also). In addition to the traffic noise it was near an airport and there was loud planes taking off and landing. There was no where to walk our dog except in the newer section along some roads (fortunately a residential area with little traffic). I would not stay at this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here while getting our South Dakota licenses etc. They have a rate of $25 per night for folks dealing with Alternative Resources for mail forwarding etc. We had heard bad things about the campground from some friends but knew we would be there only two nights. The management has changed and they are expanding the campground into part of the mobile home park. As the lease is up on the mobile home sites the mobile homes are being moved and campsites built. It is still in the building stages but in a couple of years it will be a nice park. We will definitely stay there again when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is part of a mobile home park in town. New owners are working hard to remodel/upgrade this park. As full-timers, we stopped here to renew our SD drivers licenses. Stayed an extra 2 days to rest from fighting the wind across the prairie. Very friendly staff. Had a large and very shady lot, but were still able to get excellent satellite reception. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved this park. We stayed here in a very large motorhome. The managers are very nice people. I think that makes or breaks most RV parks right there. They were very hospitable, and went out of there way to accommodate us. We were on a end pull through slot. It fit our rig just fine, with no issues. The park is spacious, so you don't feel cramped. Manoeuvrings was no problem (except at one place where you have to make a turn, but the manager said that is getting changed this summer). Really, I liked this RV park. I understand it used to be pretty sloppy, but I think these new managers have done a great job, with the place. I hear that they have plans to further update the park. The only thing that we could see others not liking as much, is some of the noise. We were right next to the street, but our rig is well insulated. The noise didn't bother us, but it might some other rig, I don't know. It is also near an airport, so you can hear planes during the day. That was actually a plus for us, because we love seeing the planes. However, even if noise bothers you, simply tell the managers. They working on making more RV sites that are set back quite a ways from the road. The bottom line? We will stay here again in a heartbeat. They were friendly people, and the RV park was a great place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate shows Alternative Resources discount. Office is very helpful. Park is easy to use and central to city. It is in no sense a destination but it is a good one to three day stay. They also, while I was there, allowed washing of your rig which was very nice. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What an effort these owners are making to have an excellent park. Old Trailers are leaving and being replaced by new RV spots. Huge trees and plenty of space between. Satellite worked, as did cell phone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Many new upgrades. The new section is beautiful, with park-like grounds and huge sites!!! HUGE!! The manager is excellent and very helpful! Stayed an extra day because it was so close to easy shopping. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Agree with all the preceding reviews. The owner or manager was extremely courteous and helpful. The only thing I would add is that one of two showers is combined with the only toilet. Also expect some airplane and traffic noise. Would return. There is a rate discount if doing business with Alternative Resources. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

My wife and I were in the process of renewing our drivers license and we needed a RV Park Campground or Motel receipt for the DMV. We stayed at Tower Campground for 7 days. The new managers were very helpful and friendly. Our space had full hookups including cable TV. Everything, including the cable, worked great. It is evident the managers are working hard to improve this campground. Our space was under trees so our motorhome was well shaded. This was a clean, nice place to park our home on wheels. When we picked up our mail at Alternative Resources, the lady told us that a New Car Dealer has bought this block of an apartment building, a mobile home park, and the campground. They have removed the old junk trailers out of the mobile home park and are putting in large clean RV sites. The campground is next door and looks to be getting cleaned up also. We were very happy with the space and the service provided. We would stay here again if we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed in a part of the park recently developed. Sites are wide and road paved. Site is on grass and dirt. Lots of places to walk the dog. I used the laundry and it was clean with machines that seemed well kept. The current managers have gone very far to correct some past issues. They are very helpful and friendly. Stayed here to meet the South Dakota residency requirements, apply for a driver's license, and register our motorhome. Park was clean and well shaded. Sites were large. Had both cable TV (300 channels) and WiFi. Although the restrooms and showers were old, they were very clean. Great place to stop on your way through Sioux Falls. Not a place for the family. We camped here in a Motorhome.

When I visited this campground I parked late in the evening. I tried to connect cable as my wife and I were going to be staying for a few days due to an incoming snow storm. The cable hookup didn't work. When I asked the attendant/mgr. She told me that she had no idea and wasn't interested in helping either. A kind gentleman staying in the park walking his dog loaned me a 50' cable and connected it to the next outlet over. In the morning when I needed help finding sewer hookups I was told by same manager to dig until I found it. This same gentleman helped me get that all set up. The residents of this year round campground seem helpful and friendly but the staff is lazy and unconcerned. Campgrounds were messy. Laundry room and restrooms were locked up. This guy with the dog told me about the facilities under the mgrs house that were available. No Wi-Fi, Cable Reception bad. We will never stay there again. I saw the man with the dog pick up after his dogs mess, but I saw several other dog owners letting dogs loose to do whatever with no attention. Was told by another resident that the Westwick Motel and Campgrounds was same price and a better serviced campground and just down the street. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here while establishing our South Dakota residency. There appeared to be one row of pull-through shaded sites for travelers. All the other sites were seasonal and were, for the most part, in various states of disrepair. The laundry room was closed while we were there. The campground was unkempt with no grass, very little gravel, and a lot of dirt. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is very overpriced. The brochures put in the visitor centers have, in my opinion, false advertising. They have the Good Sam's logo on the front of the brocheres, but in the Trailer Life Directory it is not a Good Sam's Campground. There is no pool, the play area had the frame work, but no swings hanging from it. The play area was also right next to a VERY busy main street. Campers were VERY close to each other. It had 8 pull throughs for big-rigs and you would be lucky to be able to open your awnings. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It's convenient. The weekly rate saves a little. Pay for 6 nights and get 7. Host were very nice. Not really sure how many sites there are as they are all over the place. Sites back up to a train track which is no big deal. There are a few sites near the grandstand and they have some trees. Hook-ups are a bit strange. Water and 50 amp power is on the left side with sewer drop on right. The noise from fighter jets, trains, and fairgrounds staff equipment takes a little getting used to. The worst part is that the place is filthy. It appears as though no one has ever picked up anything around the sites. We picked up 2 bags of litter. Also, the flies never quit. It's a fairgrounds after all. But we did not see any horses, just flies. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This year we stayed over a month which greatly reduces the daily fee. All sites are on frequently mowed grass, and, when the campground gets full, can be very narrow utilizing side-by-side hook-ups. The campground host tries to leave a space empty between the sites when not so busy as is more usual. At Fair and Rockfest weeks, non-participant campers are in the electric/water sites only. There are sites along the grandstand that have shade trees. There is train, jet, and traffic noise during the day which decreases significantly or is not present after 11pm. The bathrooms are adequate only and can be messy during busy times; we use our own. Free W-ifi is available from near the office building. The campground host and office personnel have been personable and accommodating when we've camped there over the past 7 years for different lengths of time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you like trains blowing their whistles, airplanes coming right at your rig about 100' overhead, filthy bathrooms, and basically nothing else then this is the place for you. We camped here for three nights on our way to Omaha, NE and would never ever come back. Because of the recent rains most of the campground is a mud hole and the mosquitoes will pick you up and carry you away. Bathrooms and showers were closed because of a sewer problem in the city. Don't bother to camp here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very basic campground layout on grass. It was very wet and muddy when we were here. They only have a few full hook-ups, the rest are water/electric. Right in the city and Verizon and satellite work great. You better like noise -traffic, airport flyway, and train. I doubt if we will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here in a 40' quad-slide motorhome with a towed vehicle. We were in site 76, on grass with 50 amp full hookups. There is a railroad behind the campsites but it only runs a couple times during the day. Campground host was friendly and helpful. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had the weekly rate. If you have business in Sioux Falls then this location is great. Nothing special about the campground but it's safe and maintained. To find it get off the Madison Ave. exit, turn right at fairground sign, down the street you will see the campground sign and drive to RV area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

No signage for RV park!!! After following directions in Trailer Life CG Guide, we phoned for directions and someone came out on his bike to lead us to the park. Sites were large and easy to back into but with no amenities available, we felt that $25 was way too high for a one night's stay! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Our rate was based on a monthly rate. We love this fairgrounds. There are no amenities - pools, etc. that we don't use anyway so we thought the price was very fair. It seems there is always something going on at the fairgrounds but far enough away that there is no noise. In fact we are not aware of an event unless we are out walking and come across it. We love Sioux Falls and all the culture here as well as all the restaurants etc. The Fairgrounds are close to the downtown area (2 miles or so) as well as a minor league baseball stadium, shopping etc. We will definitely be back to the Fairgrounds. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The place was very big. Lots of sites all on grass, which meant mud where there was dirt. Access roads are paved, everything else is grass. It rained hard just before we arrived, so there was some standing water and mud. The facilities were filthy. It's right under the flight path of the airport and a train track runs right behind the park. It's priced too high for what they offer, but was okay for a night, and they didn't want more for extra people. Best thing is it's quick access to the freeway. I'd go back if I couldn't find something else reasonably priced. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Beyond terrible! It was dirty and disgusting and seemed dangerous. It was so bad we didn't even stay, we drove out after a few minutes. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped here to do business with my mail forwarding service. This is the only place I can say isn't worth staying at, even with P.A. discounts. It advertises a pool: empty. It advertises cable: only one site had it and it didn't work. The office is nearly always closed, especially on weekends. Most of the people who live here are in the motel rooms and they are not the kind of people one would want for neighbors. You have to back into all sites, and they are very cramped. Some of the 30 amp connections are broken, replaced with 15 amp extension cords. Traffic from roads and airport is awful. About the only recommendation I can make is to go to the other campground, a couple of blocks away. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Place is a real dump and not worth the Passport savings. We should have gone to the fairgrounds campground that is one exit north and on the other side off I-29. If you are intent on coming, call first if your in anything over 28'. Very limited sites and they are very very tight. Most of the available sites can handle real small stuff only. Sioux Falls is a very nice city, make sure you visit Falls Park and the downtown area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is downright scary. I had no bad experiences here, but the cast of characters left much to be desired. The parking in the sites is troublesome too. I came here because the KOA that sits between I-90 and a truck stop, wanted $44.00 for a spot. I'll never stay in Sioux Falls again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Moved here after a terrible stay at the campground down the road. The staff was kind and very helpful. This is a "no-frills" campsite except for the pool, but it was snowing out. Will gladly stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
