This is a nice clean and quiet park that has a in the woods feel. Sites are gravel and fairly level. All credit cards accepted. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

It was a little difficult to locate but park was clean and check in was efficiently accomplished. We are 38 feet + and several of the sites would have been difficult for us as we did not wish to disconnect our tow for a one nite in-transit stay. Staff was accommodating in placing us where we could easily exit. Had a momentary issue with the low electrical voltage which turned out to be my progressive protector. It had failed due to internal moisture. Voltage measured OK with a multimeter. Park buildings appeared in disrepair with broken trampoline shoved to the side and community building locked.. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate cited reflects Passport America discount. Nice campground close to I-40. We had FHU with cable for a great rate. Some of the sites were close together and some were not quite long enough for the big rigs. All sites are pull through. The park is reminiscent of a KOA and may have been one in the past. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Plenty of shopping close by. We will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

After many stops at the Bean Pot, I have to comment on the cleanliness and quiet of the park. Not far from the Interstate 40, yet it's as if you are camping in the woods. Well laid out, level pull throughs. Easy in and out. We'll be back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Paid $14 using Passport America. About a mile off the interstate so it was quiet. There is some kind of work site located next to the campground that has heavy equipment that stated working at 5:30 a.m. I guess this is not much different than train noise or Interstate noise. We did use the laundry room and were happy they had one. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We only stayed there for two nights. The price reflects Passport America club. For the price it was worth it. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Nice laundry room. Internet was nice and fast. I only gave it a 7 because I have two kids and the playground was quite small. It was great for a quick stop and you can't beat the price. I would return! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed this campground. When our original pull-through was too unlevel for us to stay hooked up to our tow vehicle, the staff was happy to reassign. We only needed water and electric for our one night stay. This was a very convenient on/off from I-40, but far enough away that no noise was noticed. WI-FI and utilities worked fine. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We really like this park but keep in mind we do not like the stereotyped big rig parks. The sites are pretty level and gravel. Access is easy as was leveling. No problem with the electricity. The sites are fairly well spaced apart. Lots of trees but our satellite still worked. The rate reflected the PassPort America rate. There is a nice little store. The park seems quiet. Not a lot of amenities but all we need for a night or two. We camped in a large fifth wheel and would come back here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We had stayed at this Park before and enjoyed coming back. It is rustic but well kept. The sites are a tad unlevel but long enough to remain hooked-up. It's an easy on and off of I-40. A good place to walk your dog. We will return if in this area again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

$23 Rate reflects water only hookup. Our SurgeGuard indicated a ground fault and kicked off on the 50 amp plug. The 30 amp plug also indicated a ground fault and the 110v plugs are not wired. The park has gravel drive ways and we had a pull through gravel pad that was about 6 inches off level, but the jacks took care of that. We have a 36 foot motor home with a toad and did not have to unhook. Water pressure was 40 PSI. Great speed on the WiFi. We didn't try the cable TV. Maybe it was the time of the year, but we experienced no bugs, flies or mosquitoes. We came in late after dark and the friendly staff helped us park. When I mentioned the ground fault they took notes and said they would have it corrected. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Older campground very clean and has been kept up. The bath houses are clean as is the pool. Sites are somewhat close together. It is quite and very peaceful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This was our 3rd stay at Bean Pot. We find it to be very convenient to I-40 with full services & pull-through sites. The only complaint on our recent trip was that there were 2 dogs roaming the campground. Both appeared to be strays and appear to beg at RV sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground located a short distance off I-40, but very little road noise and overall very peaceful. It is a good stopover, but I wouldn't really say it's a destination campground. Most sites are pull through, but it is a hodgepodge of 50A and 30A sites. You have to look at the map pretty closely if you are arriving after hours to make sure you get a 50A if that is what you need. The site we picked was pretty short for our rig, but that was our own fault. It had a nicer patio area, so we made do with the length. It did require some leveling, but nothing major. All the facilities are in good condition and are very clean. The power is good, the water pressure is good. I can't speak to the Wi-Fi. Since we arrived late, I didn't get a password to be able to connect. However, our Verizon MiFi works well here. This is a very shady campground. The roads and sites are limestone gravel and are in good condition. Overall, it is a nice campground for a night or two. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great place for a RV rally. They have a big clubhouse that has everything you might need. Staff are the best at making your stay great. Our club has been coming here for 8 years. We will be back next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.

One of the nicest parks that I have stayed in throughout the United States. We travel in a 38 Gulfstream. Staff was very friendly and it was a real quaint atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Easy access from interstate. Quiet campground. We arrived late afternoon without reservation, but had no trouble registering. We had a level gravel pull-through site. I must be fair on this on. We were here when it was seven below zero and snow. We will make a point to see it later in better weather. The roads in were hills and covered with ice. Very poor and nerve wracking on access and exit. Otherwise the park seemed very nice. So as I stated before the weather and roads are the main reason for a seven rating, plus to darn cold to look at much else. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is easily accessible from the interstate, but in a quiet setting. We arrived after dark and easily followed their multiple signs right to the entrance. We stayed here for 9 days while rock climbing in the area. It is a quiet park. The restrooms, showers and laundry are all very clean. The dog walk area was supplied with trash cans and waste bags. I also walked the dogs down the road which sees very little traffic. There is a rock business next door, but they only operate during the week and the noise wasn't much and didn't bother us. The gravel sites all had picnic tables and shade. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Did I miss something? Trailer Life gives this an 8/8.5/8 rating. We give it a "3" . Our site was a very narrow pull-through with 50 amp cable and a weak Wi-Fi signal. Just enough room to get our slide outs extended. the grounds and sites could use some cleaning. Old scruffy looking campground. We were only staying overnight and would not come here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place seems to be on a downhill slide. This makes our 4th stay here. It still has all the amenities as before, but, the place is looking a little run down. Plus, the hired help here was not up to their normal service. The bathhouse was not dirty, but it was not clean either. The first site we tried did not have 30amp service. Then we picked another site and were told we may have to move! We had set up and did not have to move. The entire campground is showing its age. For the above reasons I will now rate this place to be a strong 7. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Since our last visit improvements have been made to roads and parking pads. All are gravel and in good condition. Park is very quiet, but it is a campground, not an RV park. It was 82 degrees and several people had camp fires going. Not really big rig friendly if the park is crowded. We had to have our neighbor move his truck so we could leave. We will stay here again, but there are better choices if you have an RV 40' or greater. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is just off the interstate. It is an easy on and easy back on type of place. The site we had was 95% level. Most of the other sites ranged from 50% to 75% level. There was a pool (closed for season), club house with a TV and some exercise equipment (very limited), horseshoe pits, a basketball goal, and loads of playground equipment here. All of this was in good working order. The bathhouse was clean and well maintained. The Wi-Fi was fair and the cable TV was as clear as it could be. The interior roads were gravel and were in good repair. Overall, this a very good place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found this campground to be very delightful. Very quiet, very well shaded, and very clean. (One camper even commented that you could eat in the bath house if you wanted to.) The family that owns the campground is friendly and gracious. It rained every night, and some days, while we were there, but drainage was not a problem in the sites or anywhere in the campground that we saw. We stayed there for four nights the end of July, 09. We had planned to stay three nights, but enjoyed it so much we added another night. This may not be the place for a family with children that need a lot of stimulation, but there is a pool, playground a rec room and there were several children camping that seemed to be having a lot of fun. But, if you want a quiet place to rest and relax, this is it! We enjoyed the campground so much that we have already made our reservations for next summer. (It is very handy if you are interested in the World’s Longest Garage Sale on Highway 127). We thought the $27 fee was very reasonable. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Camped here a year ago and since then it seems that the campground has gone downhill some. There was a definite problem with the septic system as there was sewage leaking from the field line, and there was an odor when the wind was blowing west to east. This was our first time here and we were very impressed with the great service and friendly attitude of all the campground employees. It's a very easy place to spend the night. Nice large level sites and easy hook-ups. Everything worked as advertised and the CATV was very clear on all channels. Nice strong Wi-Fi signal. Fast and easy connections. Clean, well-managed, well-maintained. Escort to site. Very clean bathrooms. Well-stocked store. Good choice of ice cream products (Dove, Haagen Daas, Klondike, Drumsticks, etc.). Flowers at entrance and office area. Pool. Playground with several items. Badminton court. Trampoline. Porch swings on perimeter of park. Good WIFI and cable TV. Adequate space between sites. Most sites are easy in and easy out for big rigs. Sites are long enough for big rig and toad or tow vehicle. Rural location and trees give this campground a state park atmosphere (but trees do not hinder access to sites). No highway, train, or airplane noise. Owners are friendly, helpful, and customer-oriented. As we were setting up, they came to our rescue with a bolt cutter when the key broke off in the padlock for the hitch bar in our fifth wheel hitch. We like this campground very much and recommend it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Older park, but new owners (3 yrs ago) are making improvements. Fresh gravel on roads and sites, recent cable system, electric posts appear new. Everything worked fine. This was our second stay at this campground in the last two weeks. Got a much better site this time, near the showers and office, however we still had to use our leveling blocks to boost up the left side of our RV. Very clean park with an interesting little hiking trail in the back area of the campground. The owner is very pleasant and we enjoyed talking with her. They were very helpful with some advice about the area. We will certainly stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a really nice place. Our rv club has been going there for years. They have a nice big clubhouse with heat and air, kitchen, and bathrooms. It is off the interstate so you don't get the noise. This campground has a state park feel with many trees, but as far as we could tell, the trees did not interfere with big-rig entry into or departure from campsites. All pull-throughs, there is plenty of room for the RV and the tow vehicle or the toad. Space between sites is adequate. Staff is friendly and helpful and provides escort to sites. Strong, uninterrupted wi-fi signal. The bathrooms are clean. There is no highway or railroad noise. The pool and nice playground. There are porch swings located around the park and rocking chairs on the front porch of the club house. This is our 2nd stay at this campground. This place is small but it backs a big punch. The pool was in good shape. The water was clean and they even had play toys out and about. The bathhouse was spotless. It was in very good repair. The camp store offered some items but they were limited. We were in site number 6 and it was mostly level. There was a good layer of gravel on this site. Some of the other sites had little or no gravel on them. Out site was well marked and sat between several trees. There were some sites that had no trees at all. The WIFI was somewhat spotty. I had a signal but some items were slow to load. The staff here was great. They were all helpful and gracious. Very pretty, serene campground with lots of trees and very friendly camp hosts. Good dog walk area with bags and trash can provided. We were only here one night this time and the site we got had power problems on the 50 amp service (111 volts one leg, 140 volts the other) and extremely low water pressure. Had we stayed longer we would have asked for a different site. Keep an eye out when you pull out - there is a nearly blind hill coming from the right on the main road. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is small but has a big punch. This place is loaded with stuff to do. I asked for a set of horseshoes and low and behold they offer several other items too. They had Basketball, volley ball, some sort of golf ball toss game and more. I was able to secure several players for horseshoes. Furthermore, this campground offers service that sales. When I got here, they lead me to my site. Then, I was helped with leveling my class C. They even brought their own wood blocks. Overall, the sites are somewhat level. The site we had had full hook ups to include water, sewer, electric, phone, and cable TV (did not use the last 2). The sites were a little small compared to some that I have stayed in. The staff here was helpful and seemed to desire to please. The bathhouse was very clean and spacious. The clubhouse was in good repair and had loads of other things to do. It had a TV, VCR, and a DVD player. It had about 30 puzzles and a host of board games. This campground offers free wireless internet and free coffee in the main office. I was able to connect when ever I wanted. I was impressed with the value added things this small campground offered. Overall, I would stay here again if I were staying for a long while. The only thing keeping this place from a 10 is the size and the noise from some sort of rock quarry in the rear of the campground. There was some dust issues as well. We camped here in a Motorhome.

New owners as of 20 months ago. We haven't stayed here before, but talked to people that had and they said the park was very much improved. All sites and roads are gravel, but in very good condition and all appear to be level. We put jacks down for stability, but didn't need them to level. Good, clear cable TV. We were about as far from the office as you could get and had no problem connecting to the free wi-fi. Rate is based on $144/week. We would definitely return here when in the area. Visited park in 40' motorhome. Roads and sites are a mix of dirt & gravel and dusty. Roads are very narrow and some trees needed trimming. Sites are narrow and very close together. Nice campground to spend a couple of nights in. There's a winery close by, and up the Interstate there's restaurants, etc. Quiet at night. Sites are all gravel with gravel pads, and a picnic table. Cable TV works really well, with lots of channels. Staff is friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if in the area. They give Escapees a 15% discount which is nice. I would like to say our rv club enjoyed our stay very much. The host were very friendly and helpful. They guided us to our sites and helped us park. The campground has a large clubhouse that is equipped with kitchen, bathrooms and central heat and air. The new owners of the campground went out of there way to make our stay comfortable. The sites were not to close together and it was easy to get around with a 37' fifth wheel. I know we will go back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is located off I-40 at exit 322, then north for 1.5 miles. Sites are gravel pads with grass and patios and are level and generally wide and long enough to accommodate large rigs. Most sites have fair separation from the neighbors but some are a bit squished. All have picnic tables and fire rings. We camped here in a camper.

Rate for RPI. Basic RV Park CG with little in the way of amenities. Electric has been upgraded and 50AMP is available. Sites are pretty level & packed rock and gravel. Some sites have concrete patio slabs. Utilities are a reach and some sites share water and power stanchions. Roads into the CG are well marked and decent condition. Breckinridge Rd has one curvy dip which is rough but tolerable. The Restrooms & Showers are locked and one can get a key if you can't use the on board stuff in your RV. Laundry room locks at 5:00 PM when the onsite attendant leaves the park. The CG is clean and neat, well maintained, very quiet and Crossville has all the services and supplies you might need. The rating is for lack of recreational stuff in the park. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The attendant hands out a pile of brochures on local historic sites and points of interest nearby and maps out some of the better off-site places to eat. There is a well stocked book exchange library in the club house. This a very relaxing CG. A good place to catch up or wind down a bit. We would return if our travels bring us back through the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our home park with C2C, price reflects that rate. No real complaints other than the park is due for some upgrades to electrical hookups and the fact that many of the sites have utilities on the "wrong side". Since we have had this problem in the past, had all necessary extensions for sewer, water and electric. Although no fault of the park, there seem to be numerous barking dogs from adjoining neighborhood. We were there 5 nights, dogs barked most of the time during the night. Too bad, as it is located in a somewhat serene setting. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our rate reflects the RPI amount. We visited during the annual Hwy 127 yard sale event. The CG was very clean and managed well. The road network (a single loop) is easy to move big rigs and 5vrs. The road is with crushed stone and the "back-in" sites were also gravel and not very level but OK. Not sure if all electric connects are the same but we shared a box with two 30amp plugs, some connections were loose and could cause a short, mentioned to management at our departure, they advised it would be serviced. As reported by others the same turns to this rural area but CG signs very well marked. Over all nice CG and we would be happy to return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park has 3 or 4 turns off hwy 127 but they are well signed. Very helpful and friendly manager, Marilyn, keeps all areas neat and clean. She is also a wealth of information about local attractions and directions to them. There is a common washroom with showers which work very well. Also a coin laundry on site. We stayed here as Coast to Coast members. The park itself is made up of approximately 50 plus sites. maybe 30 of them that are usable. The sites are graveled and level. Free WiFi. Laundry facilities were clean. Cell phone service was good. Some sites are satellite friendly. $10 deposit for restroom key. This park is about 20 miles south of Crossville off of highway 127. Call for directions before traveling to the resort! It will make finding the park a lot easier. Park managers were quite helpful with local attractions and maps. If travel time to the resort from I40 is not a concern, we will visit this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the lowest rating I have ever given a KOA, but deserving. The sites were small, too close to each other and there were NO trees! The water had something in it that discolored it and clogged up my filter to the point I had to buy another one. The water pressure was almost 0 in the site and in the restrooms. In the two days we were here, the restrooms were never serviced. Same dirt, same trash, same empty toilet paper dispenser! There are only three showers, not enough for a park without sewer hook-ups. There were no sewer hook-ups in the sites, but there is a dump station. We were only a few hundred feet from the office, but the WiFi only worked if you went up to the immediate office area. There was no table at our site and only about half the sites had tables. We stayed here two nights and were not very happy with the accommodations of this park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We arrived here about 4pm, the lights in the gift shop were off, no heat in the office, but the lady at the desk was friendly. Our reservation was correct, however when I made the reservation I was not told that my credit card would immediately be charged the amount, days before we arrived! I asked for a confirmation by email and it never arrived, so I was a bit worried as we approached the campground. The manager, I presume, walked over to our site, but did not explain how to drive there. Upon pulling in, he stopped me, but my 39' 5er was not level at all, and I had to move back and forth and use several boards to get it level. Friendly he was not, helpful he was not. If had not been so cold, wet and snowy, I would have left even if I did lose my night's payment. This was not a pleasant welcome to a below average campground. I will not stay here again. Really enjoyed the campground, and our dog Terry really enjoyed the dog walk areas. He got a treat when we checked in. Our site was large and level with an adequate area. Finally a picnic table that did not give splinters. We really felt bad for the managers as some one fished out all the big bass and even left some on the bank of the pond. They ruined for all. We had fresh apples from the trees on site. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Showers and bathroom were clean. Would definitely come back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We actually didn't stay here because after arriving and asking for a level site we couldn't get one for our 36 foot motorhome. The sites are very out of level and while trailers and fifth wheels could get level, it's tough for a motorhome. Also, the roads and sites are covered with chalky white gravel, which produces an enormous amount of dust. Although the campground is in a beautiful area, the campground itself is not attractive. The office is clean and in a quite new building but the grounds are depressing. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is not family friendly. They have pet bunnies running around, but when my kids tried to pet them, the manager of the KOA told them not to pick them up because kids steal them! I let that go. Then we went to the tiny pool which has posted no diving, so my kids did not dive. They were jumping into the pool from the side. The manager of the KOA told them, no jumping, just get in the water and swim or I will close the pool. Extremely rude person. The ladies in the shop were nice and the gentleman that escorted us to our site was nice. But of all people, the manager was rude! I would never stay there with children. This is a new park. Opened April 1st. The last owners let it run down and the new owners are doing everything to make it A1. We were the first to swim in the pool. The pool is not chlorine, but the new salt system so it is healthy. They have a terrific party room that has a flat screen TV, children's corner, adult board games where you can have a pot luck or just come in and enjoy any time. We enjoyed the complementary coffee in the morning. I am planning a family reunion. They have great motel rooms that have the feel of a cabin, but are really nice. Great views overlooking the mountains, the children were fishing in the pond. The atmosphere is so friendly that it feels like home. Loved the ceramic tiled bath houses (all individual). Can't wait to go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A pleasant overnight stay. It was a KOA, then it wasn't a KOA, now it's back to being a KOA. What this amounts to, is a change in ownership. The new owners appear dedicated, and the facility shows the beginnings of their earnestness. The sites are gravel and fairly level with full service (CATV, 50 Amps, etc.), except for sewage, this has a dump site. It's quiet, and easily excessible from interstate 40. The owners as mentioned, appear dedicated (a new pool was dedicated on our arrival) and were eager and accommodating. We would return for a stay should we be passing through. This was their opening day, April 1. Standard check in. The young girl at the desk didn't know anything about the campground. She just politely pointed and said that we can park anywhere over there. Well we just walked over to where she pointed and picked out a site. We had a back in with a nice pond out our back window. The site was not very level but it was for one night so we didn't spend too much time making it real level. The overall campground was very nice, with two ponds and nice green grass to walk our dog. It was our over-night stop and we will definitely be back Crossville area to stay in this KOA. What a beautiful set up they got! It is sitting on top of the hill with the cherry blossom tree entrance. It was a foggy day and it was so beautiful to look down & around the area. Good enough grass area with large enough dog walk. It was 4 miles off of I-40 and it was worth to drive extra 4 miles because we had the soundless night! Many KOA's are located right off of highway for convenience, yet this was so beautiful and quiet which made me feel worth a 4 mile drive. They got 4 private bathroom & shower as well. The laundry room was a bit small but, who wants to do laundry when you have great view & air to breath!! The birds were singing non stop during day time and frogs were crying at night. Wonderful place and will definitely be back to stay longer to enjoy more! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Had a nice time here, not much to the facility, no trees to speak of, which is good and bad, especially during the summer when it is 95 degrees or warmer. But has clear view of the southern sky for satellite reception. The WiFi worked flawlessly except the local ISP appears to have port 25 blocked so sending email out was not possible, you may want to check with your SMTP server and see if an alternative port is open for your outbound email not only for here but for other places you might visit down the road. There is some noise from the highway, but you really can't even hear it in your coach and you get used to it quickly. The meeting room facilities are nice. We live about 10 miles away from this KOA and only stayed there with a group we camp with, but I would recommend it for a weekend or an overnight site. The lack of a pool really brings this down from a 7 to a 6 on my scale, especially in the hot summer days. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We joined my parents from NM while we drove from NJ to Crossville, TN. Restrooms were roomy and clean with sink, toilet, and shower in each. They did not have the heat on despite asking to turn it on since we had frost the first two mornings. The pull thru sits were not done. The cable tv was very good with 70 channels. The two ponds they have were catch and release. We caught 150 blue gill and some large mouth bass during our week stay. We had a blast! Mountain view from the CG. Can here some I-40 traffic noise but did not prevent us from sleeping or disrupt our stay. Friendly staff at this up and coming KOA. The clubhouse/rec. room was not open from 11am-3pm b/c the office staff had to run errands. This is puzzling? If you have facilities, make them available, not with restricted times. With all this said, we had a great time with my parents visiting the area. Great scenery and the cg was worth the price of admission and we would stay there again when in the area. This is a new KOA still under renovations. About 4 miles off I-40 in the Cumberland Ridge area. This is going to be a nice KOA in a beauiful setting. All the services were new. The entrance is a little tight but passable. Exits are plenty roomy. There are going to be pull thru sites but they were not ready during my overnight stay. Back-ins easy to get in to. They told me they would have 100 sites when everything is done. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice large older state park with great amenities. There's a restaurant, tennis courts, trails, cabins, ponds, rustic architecture, etc., spread out over a large forested area. Campsites are shady and paved. A few have full hookups, and the rate we paid represents that. Very good Verizon coverage. Quiet (except when the grass mower showed up), classic, and pleasant. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Have been staying here on and off for about 10 years and have seen the park slowly go down hill. The bath houses although clean are very dated and some of the equipment does not work. The grounds are being neglected making it difficult to get in and out without dragging tree limbs on the RV. I would stay here again hoping the state will update the park. There are very few 50 amp connections I am told they are there but I have never seen them. Sites are gravel with paved access roads. Very wooded with most sites shaded. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent two nights here based on the recommendations previously posted. Very nice state park with a wide variety of site options. Sites were fairly close together without much privacy. Good base of operations if you want to tour middle Tennessee. Restaurant continues to be very popular since many locals were driving in to eat there. Previous reviews are accurate. Some added notes would be: a.) Women's shower had broken clasps to hold the shower head, so it was hold your own nozzle or have the water spray all over the floor. This leads to the "7" rating. Lack of maintenance in a critical area. b.) Park is rather small, and shaped like a horseshoe, placing it against neighborhoods. There is no wilderness feel. c.) A local main roadway actually runs through the park, and there are no security features in the campground, so there were a few local "cruisers." d.) There was an active schedule of activities for adults and youth, including hikes to nearby state natural areas and waterfalls, and there were evening programs on some days. Overall, a good experience and a great base location for exploring Crossville and environs. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great State Park, and I recommend it to anybody. The sites are the best I've seen at a State Park, pretty level asphalt pads with a fairly large graveled areas to set up your chairs etc. The restrooms/bathhouses were clean. There are a wide variety of sites, camping area 4 is very wooded giving you a real feel for being in the woods. Lots of trees in all the camping areas, providing shade in the warmer months. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Absolutely loved this park. Came for 2 days and ended up staying for a week. Sites are large and level with a selection of full hook-up (loop#1) to electric (30Amp), water and primitive. Lots of selection from fully wooded to more open. Nice separation between the sites. Facilities were spotless and there's lots of hiking in the area. You're right next to Byrd Lake which has fishing and even a restaurant on-site. Also, you're only a few miles from Crossville which has everything you need. Really enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very friendly, courteous staff. The place is very clean and well-cared for. We stayed in campground #1, which is the only one with sewer at the sites and the only on open in winter (thank you TN State Parks for keeping this open year-round - we love this place in winter!). We did check out the other areas, though, and found they have some great sites up on a hilltop, and others nestled down in a heavily wooded area close to the lake shore, which would probably be very nice in hot weather. Tree cover throughout the park is excellent. The park and campgrounds are laid out very attractively to give a sense of being in the woods. Nice hiking trails are available, easily within walking distance. There's a lake with boats for rent, although it was frozen over during our stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed her for 10 days in a 40' 5th wheel. Finding a level site that we fit in was difficult. Thankfully it was "off" season (they don't accept reservations - TOO BAD) and one was available. The hilltop sites were closed but were more open - they only offer water and electric and you have to make the trip down to the dump site which could be a pain. Pool was huge (but closed) but you are 1.6 miles from the Cumberland Mtn Bear Trace (Nicholas designed) golf course and it is spectacular. TN state retirees get a break at the CG and GC. Don't miss the park's restaurant. It's wonderful and reasonable and open every night. Be sure and bring a bike to ride around the park. We'd go back but probably "scope" out the sites to ensure we could fit into some space. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our 3rd time visiting this state park. Each time I enjoy it more and more. The site (136) was almost completely level. It sat up on a small hill and overlooked the sunrise each morning. The bathhouse was very clean and in good repair. The grounds were mowed and despite the lack of rain looked green. This park offers limited full hookups. Most of the sites only offer electricity and water. There is no cable (we do not use it) throughout the park. The cost of this park combined with the beauty of it makes it a jewel. We plan on returning here as often as we can. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used their shower facilities because they were huge and clean. Fun to walk the dog. Quiet, but we were not there on a weekend. This was the noisiest campground we have stayed in! Only 28 sites were available due to winter season, so the place was packed. Sites in that area were close together--neighbors could watch everything you did and some did just that! We love kids, but the ones at this place were rude, noisy and totally left on their own. Using flashlights they played tag and lights were shined right in the RVs! Bikes were being ridden right thru our sites. We saw this the whole time were were there. (of course that is not the parks fault--just the parents). Yelling and screaming late into the night and later several cars or trucks left the lights on shining right in the RVs. The closed area was very pretty with bigger sites. Looked like there was storm damage as several large trees were tipped over and being cut up. If it wasn't for the rude campers this would have gotten a better rating, but the camp host sure did not enforce any of the common sense rules! We would check it out before ever staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful state park. The hosts were very friendly and seemed concerned to know if we had what we needed while staying there . We stayed in section one since it was still early in the season and thought the mature trees were lovely (even without leaves). There could be some improvement with the fire rings at each site. This is a great State Park. We camped here over Labor Day Weekend (2004) and had a great time. The roads are paved and each campsite is paved with a gravel area off to the side for the picnic table, fire ring, and grill (or for tent camping). I walked through the whole campground and almost all sites were level (we stayed in Loop 3, site 81 and all we had to do was back in. No side to side leveling). There were sites that offered plenty of shade or there were sites with no shade. Just take your pick. The bathrooms and showers were clean and each shower (at least in the men's bathroom) had a private area off the shower for changing, etc. The roads around the campground are fairly flat for easy biking or walking. My only 2 complaints are they need a better playground in campground area (they only have swings) and only a few of the sites have sewer hookups. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camp at this park often. Campground hosts who live in the campground keep the restrooms and showers nice and clean. The older camping areas are better - lots of shade, most spaces are plenty roomy, but some aren't level. The renovated
areas are nice and level, but they've cut down a lot of the shade trees to do it. We've rarely had any bad experiences here - you almost never run into rude neighbors. Rangers have always been friendly. There are many activities - fishing, pool, paddleboating, hiking - and the town of Crossville has a large flea market on Saturdays, movie theater, Walmart and other shopping, Cumberland Co. Playhouse(a really good Theater), many places to eat. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Great park with a fantastic owner. We stayed here for our daughters first birthday and they were very helpful with allowing others to enter for the day just for the party. In our group we had 6 campsites and 2 cabins and did not have any problems with them. While we were there the campground was also having a "birthday party" and they cooked for everyone in the campground. Our sites had just been updated with new gravel and was level. Easy in and out to all the sites in the back loop where we stayed. The newly installed Wi-Fi was working and cable TV in in the plans to be installed. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground friendly staff and the park is well taken care of. The campstore has a large selection of rv supplies. The down side is the actual camping area is about a mile from the main building and it is a dusty dirt road. The sites are also gravel and our site was not well drained are level. Some of the sites have shade. The restrooms and showers are clean but not air conditioned so they stay dusty. The laundry is not air conditioned either and was some what dirty. We really enjoyed spending a weekend at this park. We stayed in a back-in site on the rear loop. It was level, shaded, and had a nice view. In general, the sites are a good size. There was Wi-Fi available at our site, but we used our own 4g modem. We had a full strength AT&T signal throughout the park. The staff members we dealt with were all very nice. The park itself was very clean. Everything seemed well maintained. The lake is not huge, but it is very pretty. The pool, tennis courts, etc., are located at the front loop. However, the sites there are smaller, and there are many long-term residents there. The back loop was much more like staying in a state park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you want a "camping" experience you will like this park. We used it for a one night stop along I-40, and it was a mistake: It's nearly 6 miles to the park entrance, then another mile to the sites. This last mile is on very dusty gravel. We had a 50 amp full hookup pull-through, but it was not very level, sloping to the front and curb side. No cable or Wi-Fi at sites. Although 75 degrees, several smokey campfires were burning. On the plus side, friendly staff, quiet at night. We will not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Deer Run is our home park, we stay on a monthly rate and have found the staff, the park, and the facilities to be extremely excellent. The facilities: Showers and restrooms are kept very clean. I am not normally one for public showers, but I am extremely comfortable in these. When we were researching parks in the area, we were impressed by the professional and friendly nature of the owner and her staff. The only thing that keeps this review from being a full 10 (Excellent) is the lack of cable TV and wireless internet park wide. But as I type this review from the guest services building, I know that this is planned to be added come this summer. I will update my review to a 10 out of 10 when this happens, because they deserve it. The General Store has almost everything you could want or need and then some. They have a great deli that serves pizza and sandwiches which are not only yummy but affordable, too! They have great planned holiday events and try to tailor events to every possible age group to make sure everyone has something fun. Great beach and pool on the property, too. The lake is stocked with many types of fish and is a pleasure to swim and boat in. No gas engines allowed on the lake keeps the lake clean and the environment pleasant. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Not sure about rate. We received group/Good Sam rate. Very reasonable, even if I can't remember what it was. Beautiful lake. We used this campground for our monthly Good Sam chapter camp out. I don't think anyone would regret staying here because it is so beautiful and well maintained. BUT: There is no internet access at the campsites. The roads inside the campground are smooth but HORRIBLY DUSTY! And I do not mean normal dirt road dust. It is a white dust from the crushed stone they have used for the roads. It covers everything with a white powder that looks like concrete dust. Our dark blue jeep was turned totally white! Sadly, this could have rated as one of the most beautiful parks we ever visited. It is HUGE with lots and lots of room at each space. I wish I had checked out the Bean Pot campground down the road first. The $34 rate does not reflect a Passport America discount because they do not accept it on weekends. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Passport America for 3 nights. We decided to try this campground, having use 2 others in the area previously. Primary reason was the rate. It is a beautiful drive in and well away from the Interstate or main road. Lots of nature on a beautiful lake. There is a refundable $10 gate deposit and easy to use and get refund. There are two camping sites: both a goodly hike from the office where you currently must go to use Wi-Fi. Camp store is well stocked and pizza smelled great while checking in; never tried it. Sites are gravel but amazingly level. All sites have full hook-ups with fire ring and picnic table. Downsides: a) The bathhouses are NOT centrally located and about a 5 minute walk from the sites. Not fun on a cool, rainy, windy day. b) The bathhouse was clean but the water temp cool and pressure low. No one else in showers, so shouldn't have been a problem. c) Because they are on back side of ridge and in woods, only two over the air channels: CW and PBS (with 3 subs). d) LOTS of full-time owners in park models or modified RV sites. They are NOT junky, but are close together and as one person told me, "The place is really jumping on a summer weekend." NOT what I would want for camping. All in all, this is a beautiful, well thought out campground. Once they get cable TV and Wi-Fi this summer, I might be tempted to give a higher score. BTW: we had no problems with dusty roads; the crusher run seems to have compacted and dust was minimal. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground far exceeded our expectations. There were only two items that would have made this campground better. Location (which really wasn't all that far out) and Wi-Fi. The campground host (owner) was extremely courteous and efficient. The campground was clean and inviting, and the campsites were very spacious. Roads were gravel, but well maintained. Passport America rate. Definitely a destination park, several miles of the highway on a winding road and it was a MILE from the office to our site. Lovely park. There were only three or four rigs here this early in the season. One section of the park looks to be all semi-permanent, weekend type campers. Wanted to do laundry but when the DW checked the front load washers, there was water sloshing in the tubs of all of them. So early in the season, we wondered how long that water had been sitting there and opted not to use them. Went to a Laundromat at our next stop. We would stop here again. We stayed in the Bluebird Cabin for 2 nights. How delightful! The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable, located on the park's 25 acre lake. The park is quiet and very well maintained. Gravel roads were not dusty at all. During our stay we had two thunderstorms with torrential rains. I'm also not sure what the other person was talking about because the drainage was good with minimal small puddles which one would expect after a rain fall. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Pizza at the deli is very, very good! While we did not use the camp restrooms for showering, they were very clean. WI-FI at the office was good. We especially liked the large deck at the rear of the store where they had tables and chairs so we could relax while surfing the net. Electric outlets on the deck were helpful to plug into. I would stay at this park again and highly recommend it to anyone. You will not be disappointed. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

Wow!!! What a great campground! We met other family members here because it was a great half-way point between hometowns and stayed for a week. I don't know what the previous reviewer was talking about, we sat though 3 afternoon thunder storms and we only had small minor water puddles which completely drained away within 10 minutes after the rain stopped, the roads are gravel however they were not that dusty at all. The grounds are very well maintained with clean restrooms and bath houses, which we took full advantage of. As far as amenities are concerned, you couldn't ask for more, there is a swimming pool, a beach area for swimming in the lake, a playground, general store, firewood delivery, golf cart rental, and plenty of cozy little spots to fish in the 25 acre lake. I spoke with the owner and she is working on getting cable and WiFi to all the sites. This isn't a requirement for us as there is lots to do in this park. We were here on Fathers Day weekend and they had a fish fry at the church pavilion which was open to all campers not just the permanent residents, who were very friendly by the way. Because this park is only about an hour and a half from us and that we love it so much we are going to make it our number 1 camping spot and are even considering purchasing one of the seasonal lots. We were really just looking for a quick overnight stop, but we were so pleasantly surprised to find this jewel of a campground. The staff are probably the friendliest I've ever met, from the moment you get there until you drive out you feel like you're really welcome. I can't say enough good things about them. The sites were easily accessible and level. The bathhouse was clean and functional as any I've found. No cable TV, but I prefer not to have cable because the kids have to talk to us and not sit in front of the box all day. That’s why I take the kids camping, so we can have some family time, no TV and no gameboys. We will definitely return here any time we're passing through this area. When you arrive at the main entrance you think wow, gated entrance with a guard, nice well stocked store, friendly staff; but once you enter the resort, the roads consist of mud and gravel, extremely dusty. The sites are unlevel with no concrete pads. There are a lot of small campers that looks like they have been here for years. No cable TV, a lot of trees causing problems for your dish. We picked this park because of the reviews found at this website. We were totally disappointed. Reviewer that stated it was close to the interstate must have mixed up parks. It was at least 2.5 miles from I-40 to the turnoff, then another 3.5 miles to the campground. THEN another 1.6 miles to our campsite. The WiFi was at the office ONLY and continually kicked us off. The acoustics in the office amplified all conversations between personnel and their friends. On the plus side, the personnel were very friendly and helpful. There were NO local TV stations available to keep track of severe weather. We will NOT stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Deer Run is awesome. My husband took me camping for my birthday, but I think it was for his fishing trip. The site was level and big. The ladies in the office were friendly. The general store had the fishing supplies that my husband forgot at home. The lake was beautiful. They don't have cable TV, but we stayed outside most of the time and only slept in our camper. We were popping Jiffypop over the campfire, and the deer started showing up. I was surprised to see that deer eat popcorn. I would recommend Deer Run to my friends and family. We will be back. What a great campground, lots of room here. There is a beautiful lake that is in the center of the campground. The power work great and the Wi-Fi is strong. The owner was helpful and told me about feeding the deer popcorn so we popped some jiffy pop over the campfire and the kids gave the rest to the deer the next day. If you like to play a round of golf, it not to far away from the campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A wonderful find! After 22,000 miles, the nicest campground we have visited. Clean, attractive, well laid out. Gorgeous lake - we took a walk around it holding hands in the moonlight. Wahoo! This was our first time at Deer Run, we stayed a week and loved it! This campground is beautiful, quiet, and spacious (a whopping 200 acres). This campground is gated, a $10 deposit is required for the gate pass, but is refunded at checkout. There is a beautiful lake that is in the center of the campground with a couple of docks to fish from. Our site was great (large pull through with lake view #331). The bath houses were spotless. The staff was fantastic. We have already made reservations for our next trip. We highly recommend this campground if you are anywhere near Crossville, TN. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here in our 40' 4-slide motorhome using one night of Passport and two nights of full rate. We were in site 17 which was level, with some grass, 50 amp, satellite signal and a table. Very quiet and not many other occupants except for the permanent residences. Owner/manager was very friendly, gave good directions and was helpful. We had been looking for an opportunity to stay at this campground after seeing a brochure. It is located about 5-6 miles off the interstate in Crossville. Approaching the campground, we saw a gated community and large office/store. The staff member discussed the large lake, beach, and other amenities that were amazing. Then we drove to our site! We passed numerous permanent residents packed into an area with both RV vehicles and small houses. Part of it was well-kept and the other part was just awful. We reached our site in the first camping area that was not level and had weeds growing up through the very little gravel. The entire campground looked like it had not been taken care of since it was built. I certainly hope that the other camping area was better than this. Talk about a gem of a campground: 200 acres with a 30-acre lake on the grounds. Although the road from I-40 to the campground has no shoulders and is quite curvy, it has a low speed limit and has some gorgeous homes to look at on the way in. This place is absolutely beautiful. The new owner is working extremely hard to make this place perfect and is close to accomplishing that. Her Wi-Fi is presently under construction and already, way back at the other end of the lake, we got her signal, good and strong. She was not yet ready for me to get on line, but very close. Fishing is available on the lake. There are picnic areas, cabins, a children's play area, a lake swimming area: just an amazing campground. If you are looking for a quiet but very active campground, this is it. We decided to make this an end point trip. We will be back for a week of laying back in the woods, and enjoying life. This park hasn’t been discovered yet. While we were there in the middle of the week, we sort of had the place to ourselves. The centerpiece of this 200-acre park is a beautiful 25-acre lake. This lake is available for swimming, fishing (no license required), and boating (electric motors only). There is a lot of neatly mowed green grass and wildlife abounds: beaver, deer, Canadian geese, ducks, fox, etc. The campground is near the boundary of the Catoosa Wildlife Management Area and is heavily wooded although the trees thin a bit at the sites to allow satellite TV reception. There are 68 sites available to the transient camper. They are full-hookup, with plenty of space between sites, and large enough for the biggest rigs. Most of the sites are level or have a modest incline. The main roads are wide and clear of tree branches and, like the sites, are packed gravel and in good repair. There is a large (240+ sites) permanent population which differs in two ways from other campgrounds with permanent or seasonal residents. One, the permanent sites are deeded lots: the resident campers own the lot. And two, these permanent sites are attractive and well-maintained. Rather than being the home of permanent residents or seasonal workers, most of the sites seem to be vacation get-a-ways and the owners seem to take pride in their sites, avoiding the trashy-looking appearance common to so many campgrounds with large permanent populations. The campground has a large building at the entrance that serves as registration office, well-stocked camp store, deli, and lounge area with free Wi-Fi. Security is provided by an impressive gate at the entrance that requires an electronic card which is issued at check-in ($10 deposit, refunded at check-out). There is a nice pool, basketball court, softball field, and chapel (Sunday services only). There is also a tennis court but it needs to be resurfaced and nets installed. Although the campground fills up on holiday weekends, it remains a hidden jewel during the week. There is a lot of evidence that the owners have invested a lot of resources to improve this campground since they acquired it 5 years ago. This is a Passport America campground. A very beautiful park! We camped right in front of the lake and it was very nice to sit and watch the sun go down. There are cabins too that the owner allowed us to see and they were fully stocked and very private. Be sure to bring your bikes as they have plenty a paved roads. This is a very large park. This park was perfect and we will be back! Although this was our first visit and we arrived late, the park host who checked us in was cheerful, gracious and happy to see us. A very helpful employee then led us to our site, helped us back in and hook up. He even volunteered to start our campfire for some very excited children while we set up lawn chairs and got s’mores ready. The next morning we had a breath taking view of the sunrise over the private lake on the property, took a leisurely stroll with the dogs and met up with the kids for a swim. Although we were camping in a trailer we used the park bathhouse because it was more than just clean, it was spotless. The showers are bigger than those we have at home with plenty of hot water. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the cleanliness of the facilities and the park property. We have been back several times, and we are now planning our family reunion to take place at the Deer Run RV Resort. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This place is undoubtedly one of the nicest we have ever stayed. Not only that but we stayed at the Passport-America rate! A large, beautiful lake. We rode our bicycles all around it. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. There are many full time residents but the sites are very clean and well maintained. There is no junk here. Just back from a wonderful weekend. Plenty of activities for children and adults, stayed in site 311, very level gravel site with full hookup, fire ring, grille included. Lovely beach area to relax on. Lakeside, very clean bathhouses, well stocked store if you forgot anything. Never left the grounds all weekend. Also provided a wonderful fireworks display over the lake that was topnotch in my opinion. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating from moment I checked in. Will go back definitely. This is a very lovely, out in the country RV park. It is gated and the owner (Kim) was extremely nice and helpful. We came in after dark and woke up to a great view of the lake. We walked the whole property, which is part full-time and part overnight camping. The full-time area is not your usual run-down permanent mobile homes; they are very nicely kept up. The property is pristine and there is every effort made to keep the area in its natural state. The office also contains a store where you can pick up limited food items. This was our second visit to this park, and once again had a wonderful experience. The rate quoted was the monthly rate. This is a great park for relaxing in a most beautiful setting for sure. In addition, Crossville offers a good selection of restaurants, cultural activities and outlet shopping if this tickles your fancy. Passport America 1/2 price rate was honored for 3 of our 7 nights. This is an outstanding park. If you are staying in the Crossville/Fairfield Glade area awhile, it is perfect. The reasons I did not give it a ten are 1. off the beaten path; 2. the short term sites are 1.2 miles into the campground on white gravel roads; 3. although the roads are well maintained, they left a white dust all over our vehicles. The owners have taken great pains to develop this park in a careful and deliberate manner. The hard work and large investment is really starting to show. This is a huge piece of property with relatively few campsites. The long range plans will take some time to realize as the owners are striving to make each phase right before moving on to the next one. The campsite we had was in the newest section. It was a huge site with a view of the beautiful 25-acre Good Neighbor Lake. The interior roads are gravel and the owners have the right equipment to keep them in great shape. The shower houses and laundry rooms have state of the art equipment and are spotlessly maintained. There are three fully equipped lake front cabins that would be ideal for visiting friends or family. All in all, this is one of the nicest and prettiest campgrounds we have stayed in and I would not hesitate to recommend it to any of my friends as a base to enjoy all that the Cumberland Plateau has to offer. The roads were extremely dusty, our site was not very level, but it was shady. This campground offers free WiFi but you must go to the office to use it. It was extremely slow. This is a very large place with nearly 200 sites of which 65 are available for folks on the move. The permanent residents are separated from the transient folks. There's a 25 acre lake with a beach, playgrounds as well as BBQ, and tennis courts. It is a gated CG which requires a pass available upon check-in and a $10 refundable deposit. It is 4 miles from I-40 at exit #322 (the exit # does not appear on the web site map); thus, it is very quiet and remote. Sites are very spacious and big rigs are easily accommodated. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice RV Park that is well cared for. We choose a non-lake side back in site for a little less. It included a picnic table on a concrete pad. Our motorhome faced the lake. So we still enjoyed the view. All sites are gravel and appeared to be as level as ours. Lake side sites add a swinging chair, a BBQ grill and a small table on a concrete pad. These back in sites would favor fifth wheels with rear windows. The gravel interior roads were a little rough and had several speed bumps across them to maintain low speeds. The laundry and rest rooms are clean and compact. The men's room was a little over heated. Price reflects a weekly rate (6 days at the daily rate and the 7th is free). There was a very acceptable (minimum amount) of road noise. . No recycling is offered. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount with 50 AMP service. We found that Spring Lake RV Resort was perfect for a two-night stop over. We wish we could have stayed longer and will return for a longer stay. An adult RV resort, it was very quite, much more than the state parks and COE parks we came in. The couple managing the resort was very friendly and helpful, they even escorted us to our campsite and assisted us in backing in and getting hooked up. Sites are full hook-up with great Wi-Fi, cable television, concrete patio with a swing, table, and grill. The bathhouse was clean, had a laundry facility and all the grounds were well kept. Most all the sites circled around a large lake that had a beautiful fountain in the middle and a small island. The fishing was catch and release. The roads and sites were gravel but it appeared the gravel had been rolled down and compacted so riding a bike was no problem and no dust. Most sites were back in, but there were a few pull-through sites up near the entrance. Only a few miles from I-40, close to Crossville and Fairfield Glade. There were two club houses for group or rally meetings. We will definitely be back for a longer stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is definitely the place to stay in Crossville if you want a peaceful, adult park. Very nice owners, very nice campers. Sites on pond/lake back up to it. Good size sites with concrete patios, wrought iron tables and chairs, and canopied swing/glider seats were nice. Wi-Fi speed was just "ok", sometimes not great. The one oddity is the lack of trash receptacles anywhere, except 3 garbage cans behind the bath house. No dumpster on the way out, and no close by cans for the pet pick-up bags. With the peacefulness and friendly people we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Good Sam and 30amp service. This is our 3rd or 4th stay here. We tried a different campground earlier this year in Crossville and came back to Spring Lake. We like the ambiance and friendliness of the place. Sites are level and have all the amenities needed. Only complaint is that the toilet stalls and showers are small, a product of the small bathhouse overall. If they choose to improve, and expand the bathhouse, it would help a lot. But they are adequate, clean and in good operating condition. I said we would continue to stay here even after they dropped their affiliation with Passport America and I have. There is a catch and release fishing pond in the center of the park with a small pier. Lining the pond are covered swings, Adirondack chairs and picnic sites. All of the sites, transient and seasonal, are huge and level. Each site has a fire ring and nice picnic table. The long-term sites each have a patio area with table and chairs or a circular picnic table and benches, a charcoal grill/smoker and a covered swing, and strategic plantings to add beauty and privacy. Like previous posters, this is a great little campground. At check in, the owner offered us some free tomatoes from their garden. We were escorted to our site and guided into our back in. This is by far the best park we have ever stayed in. We were here in June while visiting friends and decided to come back and enjoy the beautiful park. Each campsite has a patio with a picnic table. (Some have rockers and iron tables and chairs.) The park is in a circle around a small lake with a waterfalls in the center. All the roads a gravel and level as are the sites. As you walk around the park, the owners have put additional areas for sitting by the lake in great little settings. Some include a water feature. The place is picture perfect. The staff is very friendly as are the guests. We just love this park and will be back again in the future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This a a superb little campground. It is ran by an older couple who live on the property. He escorted us to our site and helped me back in, our site was right up to the lake. Restrooms and showers were nice and clean and as was the laundry room. Spaces are nice and wide with a concrete patio, patio table with chairs, a glider and a nice BIG grill. The grounds were very well maintained, grass freshly cut and no garbage anywhere to be seen. The lake is really nice, stocked with catfish, Large Mouth Bass, Bream and Carp. WiFi was strong and fast and the cable TV came through crystal clear. We will definitely come back here for a longer stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here overnight both on the way to and from our final destination. The price shown reflects the 15% Escapees Discount, which was great to get! The staff is very friendly, and the campground was as neat as a pin. The layout of the campground makes parking very easy. We used the long pull-through out by the main road, since we were "short-timers", but the sites near the lake are lovely, and even include a 2-person swing, so that you can enjoy the pretty view. Not much to add to prior reviews. Friendly, helpful owners who obviously know what’s necessary to have a nice RV park. No pool (but we didn’t miss it) and roads are dusty gravel. Adult oriented, nothing for children except fishing (catch and release). Liked the little sitting areas placed around the pond/lake so you could sit and enjoy. Nice clubhouse and apparently this park hosts many rallies so be sure to call ahead for reservations. We would have no problem returning to this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here with a Good Sam Club and had 13 rigs. This was our first time here after staying at another campground in the area. We will not go back to the other one, as this one has spoiled us. Met the owners a year ago and they told of their plans and also that they would hold the prices at the same. They did everything they had promised and more. Great place to relax and visit. We made reservations for next year. Finally someone that knows the meaning of "Customer Service" We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean, friendly park. Nice size spaces. Shady spots are at a premium and there are none around the lake, but all in all a great place to stay even for a long period of time. We were here when the temperatures were hovering around the mid 90's so no place would have been comfortable. Only downside was no air conditioning in the bathhouse and at 90+ degrees, it was HOT. If visiting the area again,we will most definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Lovely well maintained park. Gravel roads as someone indicated, however, we only had a problem when people drove too fast through the campground. Campsites all had cement patios, a table & chairs, glider, and barbecue grill. We had stayed here in the past & the new owners have expanded the park to include sites all around a lovely pond with swans & ducks. Fishing available (catch & release). Just a lovely quiet setting. We would definitely stay here again. Only negative is it' a ways (about 5 miles) off I-40 but definitely worth the drive in our opinion. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Other glowing reviews have been right-on. Sometimes when you read a review of a campground, you wonder if it was on planet earth. A combination of easy access, stable utilities, great views and friendly people make this a very special place. We didn't even miss not having a pool. Everyone before me gave this place a 10, and they are right. This place is heaven on Earth. The owner is a hard working man trying to keep his place comfortable for you and me! He is doing an outstanding job! The only concern that I had, and it does not change the 10 rating, is the washers and dryers were a bit expensive. Everyone before me, rated this campground a 10, so I wanted to find something to complain about out of sheer perversity. Granted, I like more mature trees and spacious sites. Closer dumpsters and some hiking trails would also be nice. But from the basket of chocolates in the office to perfectly level sites, spotless bathrooms, 5 strong WiFi antennaes, 60+ cable channels and plentiful hooks in the shower, it's clear these owners are focused on the comfort and convenience of their guests. Best of all, it's totally quiet at night. I had to give it a 10 as well. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here 4 times before and said last year, even after they dropped PA, we would be back. It is that good and gets better. WiFi is excellent, sites level, hookups easy and close. Ate at a small restaurant in Fairfield Glade: excellent food and reasonable. Family lives nearby so we will keep coming back for visits as long as they are here. This place is a real gem! I can't add much that already has not been posted here. BUT, they only have 6 or 7 pull-through sites. For us it was a one night stop. We had a pull-through about 60 feet long. Call first if you don't have reservations and need a pull-through site. I am not sure I would be comfortable driving up the road with a big rig after dark. Narrow road, Hwy 101, but no overhanging limbs. The map location is correct. The shot must have been in the winter when the park was closed. We camped here in a Motorhome.

In all of our reviews, we've only rated one other park a 10. This one truly deserves our highest rating. With a 40-foot motorhome, we look for easy access, and this park met our needs. The on-site owners were extremely welcoming. They take great pride in their park, as they should. It's lovely. And, they are working hard to keep it that way. Our site was long and level. Lots of grass in between and a lovely view of the lake. This place is very peaceful and relaxing. So much so, that we decided to stay an extra night. Wi-Fi was strong and dependable at our site. This is a great park that should just keep getting better. We'll definitely be back, and we're telling our friends. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There isn't much I can add to the other posts about this campground. The facilities are what they are: excellent! The on site folks running this resort are wonderful to say the least. This year, we had some storm damage to our RV a week before we were to come to Spring Lake and by the time we got it out of the body shop and made the trip to Crossville, we were about a week past our reservation start. I stayed in touch with the folks at Spring Lake and they worked with me through this period and had our site ready when we got here. I could not have asked anyone to be more patient nor helpful. I already look forward to our next visit. I recommend this park without reservation. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a gem. All the reviews are on track. This park is the farthest from the Interstate but only about a mile on and well worth it. The park does cater to adults, no playgrounds or play areas, but that was fine with us. We had a great lake site and everyone was very friendly. There were a lot of dogs at the campground but all were well behaved and on leashes. We only heard barking once. The only problem I saw was very early one morning I followed a man around on a walk who allowed his dog to pee on the electric hookups and on the flower pots. I was truly indignant for the owners since the care and time given to landscaping this campground are very evident. The owners live on site and have made this a wonderful escape for a stopover or a vacation, very relaxing. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a wonderful park in that its off the main drag so is quiet at all times, has lots of green grass, has a lake, has nicely packed and smooth interior roads and level pads. It also has a concrete patio pad plus table and chairs or gazebo type swing with bbq pit and fire ring. Waterfront sites cost alittle more than the others but are worth it because the small lake is very picturesque and its fountain is hypnotic to watch and listen to. Upon pulling in we immediately decided to extend our stay because its so relaxing to be here. There are many subtle decorative touches. We would definitely return here. Spring Lake is a super nice FHU park. Park is off I-40 at exit 322 travel around 4 miles north to Fairview Drive. Roads and sites are all level gravel. Sites are very deep and will fit any size unit also wide. You have sites around a lake and some sites near the office. Sites on lake side have a cement pad, BBQ cooking equipment, fire ring, table, and a swing set for two people to set in. Sites off lake have a nice white table and cement pad. Sites has free cable TV with a ton of channels. Wi-Fi is free, strong, and fast at your site. Hook ups are in correct place and work well. Verizon cell phone works well here. Host will lead you to your site. Host were very nice and helpful. Park is quite, clean, and a peaceful place to be in. Lots of places around park to set and look at the lake. A great place to spend some time in. Nightly rate was on Good Sam. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I doubt you'll find any kinder RV hosts than at this campground! After a long, hard day of driving, we were pleasantly surprised to be treated so warmly and graciously. The office stayed open until we arrived, and welcomed us with open arms, making us feel so welcome it really made us feel good. They helped us into a spot that was so level, we didn't have to do a darn thing except park it and let it sit. The water, sewer and electric were conveniently placed and we were hooked up in just minutes. The spots are pretty much back-ins, although some would be pull-through if you were not towing. This is one of the cleanest, neatest, quietest, and prettiest parks we've seen in quite awhile. It is obvious that the owners take pride in what they've done. We did not take time to tour the park, nor fish in the lake, but the water appeared clear and overall, it was just a really attractive, peaceful place. It does mention in the brochure that it is an "Adult RV Resort" and also that RV's should be 10 years old or newer, but ours was 12 years old and they seemed very happy to have us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a "little slice of heaven". We checked in for one night and stayed five. They have level, well graveled sites around a lake with concrete patios including furniture and a smoker-style bar-b-que. This was a perfect 10! We called ahead as we saw we would make Crossville and they waited for us. What lovely people and the bath and shower facilities were spotless. Our pull-through was level and the place was so quiet and peaceful...mostly adults and the park completely surrounds the small, clear lake. The older grandson got up at daylight to fish and was still fishing when we called him to breakfast. We walked around the shady grounds and mostly large motorhomes and fivers were there. Didn't see a single shabby thing...no sir...not here. Put this on your list of places to stay in TN!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park, but not really big-rig friendly. We called 2 days ahead for a "big-rig towing" pull-through. But when we got there we found the park had only 2 sites that we would fit in and they were taken. Solution was to block the entrance to another site that was vacant. This is really a summer destination park for older persons. Park is extremely well kept and there is absolutely no junk. Owners live in a house on site. Far off the highway, so very quiet. This was our 3rd visit, finally able to stay in warm weather. This place has only gotten better. The new sites are lovely, around the lake. There are swings to sit and rest as well as benches, landscaping is well done, and staff very helpful and gracious. Our site was almost perfectly level and all services placed properly for hookup. Only issue was taste of water; we used a water filter and it still had a slightly metallic taste. These fine folks had signed up for Passport America so our rate reflected this. We were grateful for the great deal. But in discussion with the owner, they are going to drop the association after a very short time due to stupid, arrogant, pig-headed campers who have abused the Passport name. One camper came with a club for a rally (regular price) then demanded the Passport rate. Another camper called for reservations and demanded the Passport rate. Owner explained that the rate was only honored when the person arrived, presuming space available. If everything was full, they would not accept Passport. The camper was rude and belligerent. So now the owners have decided it is not worth the hassle. They will still take Good Sam, AARP, etc. but at a much smaller discount. What a shame that a few bad apples have given the Passport America franchise a bad name and ruined it for others. With all that, I told the owners we would still return, even at full price. It is really that good! We camped here in a Motorhome.

The rate quoted is the monthly rate. This is our first trip to Spring Lake RV Resort. We stayed here several years ago when it was Roam & Roost. The improvements made really enhanced our stay. We were in the new section on the backside of the lake. The water had great pressure, the electricity was 'clean' and surge free and the free Wi-Fi was the strongest and fastest I've ever used. An exceptionally well maintained park in all aspects. The only shortcoming I found was the sewer port. It was already a little high because of the lay of the land and this was made even more of a problem by leaving several inches of pipe and the cap assembly above the ground. Believe me, black water needs to flow downhill! Being able to enjoy the unfurling of the fall colors for the entire month of October was priceless. We had an excellent time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this park to anyone. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely, clean, well groomed RV park. The site lay out are so you are not right on top of your neighbor. Our site (#8) had a parking pad of small stone with concrete runners and a concrete patio as well as a grassy area. And even though it was raining there was NO mud! There were also some tall shade trees. There was plenty of room to park our oversizes tow truck right on the site, and it wasn't even under our awning or obstructing our patio view. The park is being expanded to include premium sites around the pond. The check-in folks were happy to provide dining info, even a phone book and map to locate area attractions. The restrooms and showers were immaculate and even smelled clean. There are fire rings available, and are placed so they don't bother your neighbor with smoke or your awning with sparks. We would surely return to this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent park. Owners, manager and helpers were all very friendly and live on the campground. Restrooms are small but clean. The park is expanding so there was a lot of noise during the day but not distracting. They are hoping to have the expansion done by July 1st. Sites are large, shady and not too close together which makes it nice. There is a nice lake where you can fish and release. This is an adult park but grandchildren can visit. There is no pool, but since we don't swim, this is no problem for us. Will definitely return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Another visit to family in November! We had camped here a year ago and gladly returned. Our nephew had the site next to us reserved and waiting, even though he didn't arrive until 11:30PM. The owners were as pleasant as before and cautioned us to unhook our water lines as it was going to drop to below freezing over night. Warm and clean restrooms and showers seem to be the norm here and the sites are some of the levelest we've seen. The rate quoted was Good Sam discounted rate. They also offer a weekly rate that amounts to pay for six nights and the seventh night is free. This is one of the cleanest campgrounds we've had the pleasure to stay at. The bathrooms/showers were immaculate. The grounds were 'manicured' to say the least. As previously stated, this is the place to be if quiet and restful is your agenda. The town of Crossville offers a lot of choice for dining and entertainment if desired and is a very short drive away. The owners are on site and do everything they can to make you feel like the most special guest in the park. Our experience here couldn't have been any better. This was merely a place to stay while we visited family. But the friendliness of the owners was evident from the moment they met us until we left. It was a small, family run place with comfortable surroundings and very clean and neat. The pads were concrete and level and each site was a full hook-up. All sites had a picnic table and fire ring. The only "noise" we heard were the nearby roosters crowing in the morning from farms about 1/2 mile away--pleasant and bucolic. The only downside was they only accept cash or check--no credit cards. I wish they had their own web site and didn't rely on the state; they have a lot to offer and older campers looking for a relaxing, no stress campground without extras like Bingo, water slides, and such will find it perfect. Reminded us of what campgrounds were like 25 years ago, when well run. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Campground is located off exit 59 from I-40. Exceptionally nice RV Park; small but the sites are all large with level, deep asphalt pads. General topography is almost park like; grass, trees and a moderately sized lake for paddle boating and fishing. While children are allowed, the park caters more to the adults -- no playground or childrens recreation area. With that said though, when we visited the CG there were a couple of families there and their children appeared to be having a great time. We camped here in a camper.
