Long Branch COE Campground was one of the most difficult destinations to find because the Tennessee DOT signs on I-40 ( west ) directed to use an exit not initially recommended by our GPS. We ended up miles west of the best campground exit and this put us on SR 141 - a tight windy road nightmare of a road. . If you read this review, take exit 268/ Cordell Hull Dam and ignore the DOT signs. The very cordial/helpful camp host said these signs are long overdue for removal and it’s a 5 miletrip from I-40 to the CG. Once at the campground we found everything to our liking. The on the river sites are $24( $12 w/ Golden Age ) and the inland sites are $12/10. The sites are level gravel with grass between. Not every site offers 50 amp so if you need it make a reservation. Below the Cordell Hull Dam there is fishing for trout on the Caney Fork River. Browns, Rainbow and Brook Trout with a limit of one per day if they are over 24 inches. The bathhouse was more than adequate and spotless. In addition to fishing and boating on the river ( or the lake above the dam ) there is a playground for the kids. If there is a down side, the campground is not close to restaurants or shopping unless you consider a 10 mile drive to be close. If you can be self contained for a week and like peaceful country living, then you’ll enjoy this place. We would come here again for a 3-4 day stay, but not for a one night stopover. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wonderful campground with large, wide, long sites lined with tiny gravel and lots of grass between sites. Each site has a long table with a roof, a fire ring, a grill, a lantern stand and a small table. The sites on the Caney Fork River have a wooden fence at the back of the site and a hill down to the river. We only got 3 PBS TV stations with our antennae. Very quiet and relaxing. We saw several men who had caught trout in the river or brought their canoes or small fishing boats. The campground is right next to the Center Hill Dam. The closest grocery store is about 5 miles away in Gordonsville. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I love this campground! It is on the hill above Caney Fork Rive - a trout stream. You can canoe or kayak also. Then there is Center Hill Lake to fish and boat on. Very clean and big shady sites for the most part. We camped here in a Motorhome.
