Not a beautiful park, but it's quiet and has what I needed, including good wi-fi. A lot of dust from the many gravel roads. I can't see them paving all the roads, but maybe they could oil them in the meantime. I suspect non-galvanized underground plumbing, because when I first turned on the water, a large quantity of rust was expelled. Then it cleared. Apparently, this site hadn't been used in a while. I would suggest people run their cold water first for a while - just in case. But once the water cleared, it was fine in terms of quality - I didn't detect any sulphur. Very quiet. I did need to level a little bit though. We would come here again - the wi-fi helps make up for any shortcomings. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice place to stay as home base for area visits - not a destination park. Large, level sites (especially pull thrus),50A at each site.Easy maneuvering big rigs.About 20% permanent/seasonal.Work continuing on planned lake/recreation area.Sites are gravel/grass.Roads are gravel so dust on entry roads is an issue - I am told plans are in works to pave and paving equipment is on site.No picnic tables or fire rings although some sites have evidence of campfires. No shade in pull thrus - great satellite reception. When driving from East (I75) follow signs, not GPS - take the second Jackson Bend turn. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Fantastic park! The owners are very nice. I spent several hours talking to Freda Bell. Nice bath house and laundry area. Easy to navigate in a large motor home. Large spaces with plenty of parking. Owner's are in the process of expanding the park. Very reasonable weekly rate $126 including tax. The next time we go the TN this is where we will be staying. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very pleasant staff. Very good location for overnight stay as it is right next to the interstate (rather noisy when standing outside). A pleasant lake walk available. Campfires are available in certain areas. Only downside is the proximity of the adjacent campers and the campground has a large number of permanent (monthly) residents. Would definitely visit here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Small spots and right near the highway. We have stayed here before and will probably stay here again because it is very convenient to I-40. We had a 50 amp pull thru spot which was long enough, but neighbors were very close on both sides. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
On I-40 just 7 miles west of I-75. Good Sam Park. Pretty nice. Friendly people. Good camp store. Well stocked and most prices are reasonable. They serve dinner from their kitchen. If you don't do anything else right, while you are there, get the rib dinner. Get the WHOLE rack, not the half. Believe me, you'll thank me later. The sides are a little light on the serving size. But, after getting the ribs, I forgive them. They are working on WIFI. Guess I'll do it the next time I come thru. They were waiting for family to put the new antenna up. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very convenient park right off I-40 west of Knoxville in the direction of Nashville. The park was well maintained down to lights at the utility box and garbage cans hung off the ground at the end of each site. There was was under a heater cap so water was available in the 37 degree weather. Good Sam discount available...well stocked office. If the traffic noise bothers you then you may want to skipped this, but our MH is well insulated and it didn't bother us much at all. The real find is back around the lake where camping is allowed, but with no hookups. We would not have fit there, but it was a great morning walk with our dogs. Will stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy to get in and out and good level sites. Very close to interstate. If you are deaf would
be ok. Lots of permanent. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is too close to the interstate. We could hear the traffic all night. It's OK for a one night stop over, but I would not recommend it for an extended stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The "lake side sites" were next to a mud pit, which rose quite a stench the next morning after it had rained. On the other side of the small lake is I-40. We listened to interstate traffic all night. The map at the check in station was not even close to the actual campground. The tent and RV sites were backwards on the map, but you can't tell that at night. We backed into a tent site. The level RV sites were tiny and packed with residential vehicles. You have to almost make a right hand U turn to enter the campground, and drive through a small apartment complex. We missed the
turn the first time, because the sign isn't visible in the dark, unless you are coming from the opposite direction. If we hadn't missed it, I am not sure how well we would have been able to make the turn. I was also qouted a much lower rate that what was listed on the board when we arrived. But I was so upset by the whole experience that I didn't bother to go to the office and attempt to get a refund. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Campground continues to go down hill. Fishing and restaurant are both closed. Mostly long term residents. It's a shame since it's so close to West Knoxville. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Access road is pretty narrow for a big rig and tree overhang damage is to be expected, campground has a lot of semi permanent residents. First section closest to the office is especially difficult to maneuver into while looking for a spot. Site marking is poor once inside campground, they advertise for big rigs, but don't seem to have enough room for multible slide outs. There was a tent in the first 50amp pull thru, wasn't impressed, won't return We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground was great. The water-side sites are a unique experience. My site had a deck overhanging the creek. The access road is not as bad as I expected after reading prior reviews. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
They closed the top half to only have permanent sites. The one we had was ok. However, I certainly enjoyed the top one more. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The road leading in was a bit small. They charge extra for AC! The fish shaped pool was clean and the fishing was good. However, you must keep what you hall in and pay for them. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The park is really nice but access ro it is not so good. narrow roads with low hanging
trees on each side. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very poor roads and campground turns into a lake in the rain. Not for big rigs. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Difficult to get to - very narrow, hilly roads. Trees not trimmed for larger rigs. Tight turns inside CG. Nice for smaller rigs or those staying for several days - not good for overnighters. Has interesting looking old mill converted to restaurant but is a long walk from CG. We camped here in a camper.
