We were on our way from Bristol, TN to Boone, NC driving along H421. This is a windy road. It was getting dark and we saw the blue sign for "Camping" as we were passing through town. We pulled in and noticed they had 12 sites and only 2 were taken. The camp office is at a museum and they were closed. We took site 5 and backed in on the grass. It had water, electric (We used 30 amp so I don't know about 50 amp), cable and sewer. Some of the sites had damaged cable lines. The bathrooms were locked but we did not need them. Don't know if they had showers or not. They did have some big block fire pits so we did have a fire. We decided to stay a second night and do some geocaching in the area. The fee was $20 per night. It was a reasonably clean place to stay while passing through. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
