The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the sites were clean. The only complaint I have about this park is the cost. Also, GPS doesn't take you directly to the park so ask the park for directions. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A very nice campground with an outdoor pool. The WiFi didn't connect to Internet. There was easy access on and off interstate. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This KOA looked much better than the last time we stayed there about 4 years ago. It was neater and cleaner, the trees had been trimmed, and the sites had a good thickness of gravel. The roads were paved but were a bit rough with some potholes. The staff was nice and attentive to our needs. When we reported that the cable TV connection was broken at our site someone came immediately and fixed it. There were lots of channels, and the reception was good. Sites where we stayed were a bit narrow with trees on each side. We could open our slides easily, but could not have opened the awning. There was a table and grill. Sites were also close to one another, but they were placing RV’s in every other spot so it did not feel crowded. We did not see the open sites that are shown on their website, but even with trees we really didn’t have any trouble getting into or out of our site. We did not use the free Wi-Fi, or the pool, or the restrooms/showers. Even though it was just off I-20, we did not notice any noise. We felt the price was just a little high, but given the other campgrounds in this area we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Typical KOA park. Sites are a little close but even our 40' had no problem. Wi-Fi is a little spotty but when it works it's good. Right off of I-20 but construction will make you crazy getting on or off I-20. Park staff is knowledgeable but seems bothered a little by people, they need to loosen up a little. We would use it again if in area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used this RV park as a stopover on our way through Texas. We prefer state parks but this park was conveniently located right on I-20 so we tried it. For us, it was an excellent overnighter. Staff were professional and very helpful, washrooms were spotless, and cable and wi-fi worked perfectly. A dog park was a welcome surprise. Highway noise is unavoidable and should have no effect on tired travellers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

All I can say is TIGHT...pull throughs,yes, but hard to maneuver. We pulled in with our coach and trailer but had to back out of our site because of trees. This park has enough trees to start its own paper mill. If you want a suntan, you'll have to find a spot where the sun shines through the canopy! Why they don't clean it up is a mystery to me. At least cut them away from the turns at the sites and trim up to 14'. Not much to this park, Wi-Fi worked spotty when we were there. Typical KOA, a little over priced for what you get. Stayed one night, that was enough. We camped here in a Motorhome.

When looking for an over night spot I try to avoid KOA’s because they generally charge more than others. Their prices usually reflect their amenities but we rarely make use of them on an over night stay. Having read the other reviews, I could see why there were mixed emotions about the site each was assigned. The grounds are laid out in such a way that each site is a bit different than your neighbors. I had to back out of my pull-thru whereas my neighbor had no problem pulling out of his. My only complaint was their location. Getting in from westbound I-20 was a snap, getting back on was a trip through the twilite zone. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

One of the very best commercial parks we have ever stayed at. When we arrived, we were properly greeted, and told more than we ever hoped to know about the park and the Abilene area. We were escorted to our site, and the host made sure everything was fine with the site. He even assisted us in our parking. I felt as though I was registering at a five star hotel. Everything works here; the voltage was spot on; the WiFi works much better here than my Verizon Broadband; the place was very clean and everything, and I mean everything, was freshly painted. You will want to add this park to your itinerary whenever traveling through Texas; just leave room for me when I return again! As the gubernator says, "I will be back". We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an OK park. The dirt around there is very dark and although the sites are gravel, it is hard to keep the dirt out of the coach. Maneuvering through the park was a little difficult in our big rig. It was fine for an overnight, but I don't think I would not want to stay for an extended time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Typical KOA. Nice park hosts and clean facilities. Roads needed repair. Spots were a little tight for tow vehicle and RV to fit in. Had to ask a few RV'ers to move their trucks so I could get out of my spot when it was time to leave. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites were okay but when we checked in their pipes were frozen. Not anticipating this, we asked if we could fill our gravity tank from somewhere. The office had running water, along with the laundry and shower house, but the lady who worked there said "no" they wouldn't let us fill up. Now, if you knew your lines were frozen, wouldn't you make sure there was another way for your customers to fill at least there gravity tank? Thank goodness this was just an overnight stop. I would not stay here again, the place is very run down. We used it as an overnight stop over but really wish we would have kept driving. Playground is basically falling down, the bathrooms and showers were closed because of sewer problems. We were charged for our 3 year old even though web site says children under 6 are free. There are also stray cats running around that don't look very healthy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beware, there is a drag-strip 1/4 miles from this RV Park. Weekend events going on Fri.Sat.& Sun. from 4 PM to 12:30 AM. The noise, revving motors, and screeching of tires was absolutely unbearable. The sites are not very well maintained, some litter in sites. We feel it is over priced for what they offer. Normal rate for one night is $35.00, but we booked in for three nights, therefore got a lower rate. We would not have stayed that long if we had known about the drag strip. Also, work camper dogs continually barking. Good Wi-Fi and good T.V. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff at the campground were very friendly, they even gave our dogs each a bone. They were very helpful in guiding us to our site which was very shady as there are trees everywhere. The sites are somewhat tight due to the number of trees but we were able to maneuver our 41 foot motor home and dinghy without any problems. The facilities are not pristine but they are satisfactory. Access to west bound 20 upon leaving was not very clear. The WiFi access was strong with high bandwidth. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The staff here were EXCELLENT, very friendly and informative. The RV Park itself was tatty and the location poor with difficult access roads from roadworks with very little shops or local facilities. The only reason we stayed here was due to the excellent description on the KOA magazine which made it sound very inviting and pleasant with many facilities - it stated that you could hear the birds and that you could not hear the roadway, when in fact all you could hear was the roadway and the trains, even when in your RV !!! Ground is tatty, store is not stocked and I would not stay here again, unless it was a last resort. I will stress again that the staff were great, but facilities, location and condition of the grounds were not to the required standard. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Campground has gone down a little since we stayed here a year ago. Grounds a little ragged and more long term residents. Interstate 20 is under construction just outside and the entrance ramp was a little difficult to negotiated. I'll look for another facility next time through the area. This very nice KOA was adjacent to Interstate 20. It had a secluded feel, not too much road noise, wonderful old trees, nice staff, and clean buildings. We stayed a night and would return when in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Staff terrific,but would not stay here, again.The park is located evidently in a very low elevation,because there are lots and lots and lots of mosquitoes. The ladies restroom was clean but no bathroom tissue, and the men's bathroom was not clean and had no tissue, either. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Pet area was small but OK. Lots of mosquitoes when we were there. WiFi was weak for me. Easy access into large pull-through. People were very nice to us. Nice shaded spaces. Areas were large enough for our slides. Trash can at site is a bonus. Beside Motel 6 and right next to I-20 makes for some noise. Sewer connection could be lower for better flow. Good for overnight stay but expensive compared to other comparable parks. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice KOA. Our main requirements are pull through, 50 amp and WIFI, and it had all of the above, plus friendly, helpful staff and a clean park with nice sites. It was easy to maneuver our 40 foot motor home in and out of the site and the park. It is just off I-10, so there is some traffic noise. It is also about 1 mile from Harlow's, which is an excellent local barbeque joint. A good overnight stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.

With KOA card we payed under $30 for the night. We came here because of the reviews written before us, thanks. People were very friendly, helpful and courteous. The site was wide, level and had a patio and table. It had rained a lot and the staff were trying to pump water out of low areas around the sites. WiFi worked excellent. It is well worth the difference in cost compared to any other CG in the Abilene area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I guess I am different than some other reviewers of this park, but I did not think it was anywhere near worth what they charge per night. The rear dog run was very, very small and grown up with grass. The sewer connections where we were did not have plastic tops or sealers but just had boards put on top of the sewer hole where odor escaped. It was hard to level our rig there on the gravel and the interior roads reminded me of older parks not designed for a large rig. It just was overpriced in my opinion for what you got. We have stayed in "resort" type parks with free breakfast, free wifi and free newspapers, etc. and good interior roads for $35 or less a night. The people were nice but to us it looked like a much lower priced campground - maybe $25/night would be more fair. If they are going to charge an upscale rate then the park should reflect it. On the other hand - there is not much good competition in the area to keep their pricing in line. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Really great campground! Right off the interstate, so it's easy on & easy off. Interstate noise wasn't bad since there are so many trees surrounding the park. Campground is VERY clean & well maintained. The staff, sporting their yellow KOA shirts are always working on the campground. Very friendly & polite office staff. We were escorted to our site, just to be sure that everything was suitable & to our liking. Very clean pool, nice gameroom & good cable connection. Good provisions in office. We will be back! Pleasant KOA - pricey of course, but that's typical for KOA's. This is definitely a campground and not an "RV Resort". They do have a miniature golf and pleasant overall forested setting. Gravel sites and interior roads. Rustic and well treed camp area - some of the sites were set at angles, making it slightly difficult to maneuver our 37' fifth wheel into the spot, but they always have an escort to guide & help. If you bring a 'big rig' motorhome, make sure you ask for a straight through pull-through, the staff is very accommodating. We were there in the early spring, and by 3 p.m. they were full! Might be a good idea to make reservations if you're passing through at a popular time of year. (glad we had reservations) Although this is quite near the freeway, it was very quiet. Lots of bird and little critter to watch. Limited gift and RV Supply - lots of little statuary, wooden footbridges and other rustic touches, this is definitely a well-kept camp. Free WiFi and nice cable. We'll stay here again if in we're in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy on and off access to I-20. Pulled in late after office closed. No problem. Chose a spot. Filled out paperwork. Hot showers. Slept good. Called person in charge to make sure we filled out paperwork correctly the next morning. Very nice and helpful. Made us feel good that we were trusted. This quiet, beautiful CG has been under new ownership for about a year. There are a lot of shade trees, rose bushes, and flowers planted everywhere. There's even a food service trailer that offers catfish, chicken, hot dogs, and other things. The bathrooms & showers were sparkling, the pool was inviting, and a latte/cappucino machine in the store. Owners are friendly and seemed truly concerned about the campers. We stayed in one of the camping cabins but will probably take a tent next time. We camped here in a ?.

This is a pretty scary-looking park: large dogs running loose (neighbors?); shabby trailers of permanent residents; open holes in road for plumbing repairs; overflowing dumpster; rutted roads (thank goodness it was dry!); just dirt, no grass. The trees were just obstacles, not shade; and although the ad said 65' big rig sites, our 62' hung over at both ends. Good point: just off I-20 (but bad if you are a light sleeper!). If ya gotta sleep, stop here. Otherwise, keep going. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I rated this place a "2" because in my opinion I am sure there is a worse place somewhere that deserves a "1" but I have not been there yet. How they can get a Good Sam rating is a mystery to me - also in my opinion. We pulled in the front and tried to get out by way of their circle and almost got stuck in the huge mudholes. We left. We would not stay there. In reflection, I think this is the only park we have ever turned into and just left after looking at it. We turned in and my wife said, "I am not spending the night here." And that was that. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is old, rundown with chug holes everywhere. No Maintenance. Most sites cannot accomodate slides. We finally got into one after trying three others. The staff would rather be somewhere else. Truly the worst park I've ever seen. It was so late and we were so tired that it had to do. This is an ideal spot for an RV park along I-20. Someone willing to put up the money and work, would have a goldmine if they so desired. It has to be rated a 1 as there isn't any lower number on the board. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very nice park with very nice owners. It is close to Abilene, Dyess AFB, Clyde, Baird, Tye and other small towns. Easy in and easy out with extra large pull throughs. We have been here a week and we shall return on a regular basis. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very pleasant, open campground with exceptionally long sites. Although there are no shady sites, there are a number of small trees, recently planted, that will eventually provide shade, and there are wide grassy areas between the gravel pads. The park is near the interstate exit but is set well back from the interstate and there are lots of trees in between, making it very quiet. The only reason I did not give this park a 10 was that there was some junk in the back of the park that should either be tidied up, removed, or screened. Also, there are no services at this exit. Arrived after dark. It was difficult to find the campground due to a small unlighted sign several feet off the hiway. A phone call to the campground quickly got us back on track. We were met at the front entrance and quickly checked in and pointed to our site. Pull thru was very easy to enter and was level. Hook-ups were properly placed and well maintained. We did not do any more than use this as a night stopover but would certainly use it again when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Would not have known about this place if not for RV Park Reviews! Infrastructure is sound,water, sewer, electricity all good. All pull throughs; LONG, could accomodate anything. Friendly staff met us and check in went smoothly. Gravel roads brought us to a long, level gravel pull through. Very quiet campground, but not far from the interstate. The park is going through upgrades, as new electric boxes have been installed at each site. Also, cable tv and phone jacks are now at the sites even though no service for them is available at this time. Newly planted trees are at each site as well. It is only a short drive to Abilene from the campground. We stayed here in a fifth wheel and would return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice place & easy to get in and out of. The newer sites have crushed asphalt which needs to be packed, the older ones have caliche. Walking around on the crushed asphalt gets black rocks in your shoes. I would reccommend the older as not to track in the black tar covered rocks in. Overall a very clean place with friendly owner. We just pulled in late & out early the next morning, but wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a fairly new park but is well laid out with good size sites. The rate for 50 amps is $28. The laundry has two washers and two dryers which are brand new and work perfectly. The manager is very nice and was helpful with local directions. The park rules are very simple but we noticed some of our fellow travelers are still inconsiderate and do not pick up after their pets. These kind of pet owners make it difficult for those who do take care and will eventually cause parks to refuse pets. The short road in from the highway is a little narrow but in good shape. We gave this park a 8 plus. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a young park and a work in progress. The manager is very friendly. The sites are gravel and extremely long with a grassy area in between. Not a lot of shade yet, the trees are very small. The laundry is 2 and 2 and very clean as are the 2 restrooms/shower rooms. There are additional sites that are being put in as well as internet. We had no problem getting our satellite. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Really spacious and clean, a snap to get in and out of your very long and level space. Short access road from I-20 very narrow but short, pause on top of the bridge before proceeding to make sure no one is coming as there is no way two rigs could pass each other on the road. Friendly and helpful owner, clean baths, quiet. Very good overnighter or if visiting Abilene for short period. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a good overnight park or someplace to stay for a few days if stopping in Albilene. But it is definitely not a destination park. Don't be looking for the club house, pool, or Jacuzzi. It's basically just an open field. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I stayed overnight in a 50Amp pull-through site. Plenty of room (length and width, my total rig is about 65 ft. long, including towd) - about 3 times what you normally see in campgrounds - a really large site. Sites are spread out, with lots of room to maneuver. Gravel sites, gravel roads, a bit of grass here and there, mesquite trees. 70 psi water pressure. Good, clear views to satellites in the south. Hot as hot can be at this time of year. I would stay overnight here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park is only about a year old and is very much in the process of being developed. The cable is in the ground but at the moment only about 3 stations were available from the antenna. The sites were very long and pretty wide, (about 40x100)and access roads in the park were OK. The park is about 1000' from I-20 (noise was no problem) and the last couple hundred feet of that road is pretty much like a washboard but going slow takes care of that. We only stayed overnight and at the moment that is the best purpose for the park. They have a lot of plans for the next 10 years and I am sure it will be a nice park some day. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV Park is owned by the VFW post and is open to all VFW members, active duty; and reserve and retired military. This park is very clean and located across the street from Dyess Air Force Base Main Gate. Check-in is through the canteen. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
