First off, this is a little 'mom & pop' motel that has a few adjacent RV hookups; just your basic place to stop, rest and get out of the weather. Not fancy and nothing other than water, sewer and 50 amp electric, but quiet. It is operated in conjunction with the cutest little country store and gas station where the folks are friendly. If you're looking for "all that and a bag of chips"...keep moving. But if you just need a place to relax, get out of the weather (in your rig), hook up to water, electric (50 amp) and sewer for the night on the cheap, it may work for you. We'd stay for a night again if in the neighborhood. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is one of hidden campgrounds everyone would like to find. This park is part of the McClellan Creek National Grassland east of Amarillo, Texas. From Alanreed, TX go west on I-40 to Exit 128 and go north on Rd 2477 for about 3 miles and turn left at sigh and go 0.1 mile to the "Y" and then go right to the campground. The upper section is an open area and the lower section has some shade. We were told the campground will get crowded on the weekends with 4-wheelers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
