Very nice park, well maintained, big rig friendly. Gracious host with lots of information. Excellent BBQ on Friday nights at Peter's in Ellinger. Heated pool and indoor spa. Would be a 10 but only outdoor showers at the pool/spa and water never heated up. Lots of room between sites. Would return again. We had a 50amp FHU site on the river. Verizon and AT&T 4bars/3/4g Rate reflects member rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Passport America discount and $3 surcharge for 50 amp service. Roads badly in need of repaving. Ranger was helpful & pleasant. Pool was recently redone. Hot tub is inside. Pool/hot tub area are a fair distance from the campground. Bathrooms need updating. We would stay overnight again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Our rate was only $3 because we are Thousand Trails members and paid the extra for 50 amps service. This park has nice large sites like a state or federal park and has deer roaming everywhere! The staff is nice but TT keeps cutting back on staff/hours (according to one of the staff) and it is starting to show. While there are great facilities like pool/hot tub/mini golf, they are looking tired. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one weekday night the second week in October. We normally would not stay at a park without a pool this far south at this time of year, but an unusually cool front had the temps down to 70F. About half the park is in the trees and appears to be occupied by long term/extended stay customers. We stayed in the all most empty open (good for satellite reception) half and had a FHU pull through with decent WI-FI. There is no cable. The sites are OK and the staff was nice. The biggest problem I had with the park itself was that there is only ONE bathroom. It is a room with a sink, toilet, and shower. If there are any more than a few customers (like tents and popups), needing to use the park bathroom there could be long waits. The park is by itself at the interstate exit - you will need to drive to shop or eat. For light sleepers, the night we were there the train horns blared half a dozen times between sunset and sunrise. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice asphalt roads throughout park with level gravel sites & grassy areas between. Easy satellite access so no need for cable. Unisex bathroom was clean, but most people use their own in this over nite park. Easy on/off access to I-10. Friendly helpful staff and owners live onsite. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is located about 2/3 of the way between San Antonio and Houston and a good place to stop for the night. The sites are large, gravel, level, and the setting feels like you're in the country: even though it's close to I-10 and a train track. Nevertheless, the trees provide a good buffer and we didn't find it loud at all but rather peaceful. Being a KOA, there's a small playground and a large old tree that has a swing rocker. There is only one bathroom/shower. There is a small dog run: in front of a large fenced forested area for a large unofficial dog park. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an old KOA that was bought by the present owners 12 years ago. It is my guess that they have done nothing to the park in that time, but suck the money out of it. Though it could be nice, it isn't. There are many old trailers that have been there for many years and have piles of junk around them. The spaces are of the type seen in KOA's in the past when trailers didn't have slides and a big trailer was 22'. They are small and VERY close together. We were planning on staying longer when we found this park online; after pulling in we knew that this park was only a stop over for us. The owner was nice and helpful; it's just that the park was depressing. I will say that the Wi-Fi was strong and the laundry was new and clean. We would only ever stay here again as an overnight stop over. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Interesting place. Lots of nice shade trees. Easy off/on I-10. Quiet park with level gravel sites. Some of the long-termers look like the road company from "Deliverance", but we had a quiet, one night stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice Park. Had quite a few campers staying there, I am sure some were oil field workers, but we only seen 3 other sets of campers while we were outside walking our dog and during the time we were swimming. Clean and Quiet. We had just purchased our travel trailer and on our way back home we stayed the night to "Test it out". We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
