This is the Passport America rate of $13.50. There were only a few campers during our stay. We were in site #14, pull-through, long and level with ample room. This site is next to the trash dumpster (trash truck came by at 7:00 a.m.), but there was no odor. The park is located next to the highway, but I did not hear any road noise during the night. The owner, is helpful and friendly. No pool, no river, no clubhouse but there is a clean country feeling about this park. No Verizon wireless service here. Wi-Fi and cable are included in rate. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a new family-run park, located next to Garner State Park. During our 2 week stay we enjoyed hiking, fossil hunting and bird & deer watching. This is a great place to winter over. We plan to return again next winter. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a great state park. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was extremely friendly. The park is extremely well kept and river was great for families with small children. The kids had a great time swinging from the ropes. Most campsites are very well shaded. However, you must book with plenty of time because the sites fill up quickly. We are definitely looking forward in returning to this wonderful park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

As always -- GREAT!! Our 3rd year here. Some bathrooms are being redone or have been remodeled -- check when you arrive to see about closures. Lots of day visitors as usual. Be sure and bring everything in you need to eat -- nearest Walmart or grocery store is 45 minutes away. Ice available in the park store. Watch the alcohol consumption -- even in campsite. Rangers have been recently coming over to 'sniff' your drink, even in a red cup. Just watch it. We love the place! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Probably the best State Park camping facilities in Texas. New restrooms that are kept very clean, shady spots near the river, and good support facilities within the campground are some of the highlights. Just realize that this State Park is far removed from any town with grocery stores, etc. when you arrive, as driving into town to pick up a forgotten item will be a road-trip. Also, no cell coverage in this area. Overall, we loved our stay and playing in the Frio River and hiking the trails was so much fun!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

It is mostly cabins here but they have 5 sites that accomodate up to 28 foot and 4 newer sites for 40 footers. The 4 larger sites are separated by trees and the other sites are side by side but also have trees. Its nothing fancy but the river is beautiful and just down the hill from the sites. They have a store for most anything you may have forgotten plus a gameroom. They also rent inner tubes and have nightly hayrides in the summer months. Family owned and family oriented. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This camp rocks. Quiet. Friendly owners/employees and campers. As a cyclist, I also ride the area and the locals are bike friendly for sure. No worries riding on a 2 lane road with lots of climbing, deer, and scenery. Only issue during this time of year is the leaves from the cypress trees stick to your shoes and once inside your MH, are like needles. Just unpleasant. But wearing indoor/outdoor shoes/slippers takes care of that issue. Garner State Park is really nice. Lots of good hiking. The Frio is beautiful and cold. Recommend this stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 2 months so our rate reflects a monthly one. The two things that keeps this from being a 10 RV park is location, 10 miles to closest town and 30 miles to go shopping. The second thing is the surface of the site has something similar to cinders, and it is bad to track into RV. Everything else at this park is top notch. This would be a great summer park for families. If you like to walk or ride bikes this is a good place, or if you just want to sit back and relax you can do that. It is a very quiet place. There is plenty of room for big rigs. There is a small store on site that has the very basics. The owner and staff are very helpful. The owner came to our site and personally welcomed us to the park. The cleanliness of the bath and laundry were the best I have seen at any park. (877) 374-6748 We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I had to evacuate from an RV park in the Corpus Christi area to avoid Hurricane Ike. What a stroke of luck finding this nice little RV Park in the Texas hills. The owner told me he was filling up with like minded RV owners that needed to seek higher ground. He decided to begin his winter rates, $27, a few days early so the financial impact of an unplanned trip would not burden the RV’ers forced to leave their homes because of Ike. This park is right on a clear water rock bottom river which is perfect for swimming and floating. The gravel pads were mostly level and each site had its own picnic table and fire pit. The cable TV was good. The wifi was not free, $15 for 7 days, but the signal was very strong. I would rather pay for a strong wifi signal than have a free weak wifi signal. Nice clean 24hr Laundromat. Very family friendly and helpful staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

With the exception of the 4 pull through sites the sites are extremely close together. My awning rubbed my neighbors unit. The owners don't seem to be people oriented. Restrooms were horrible complete with overflowing toilets. The best part of the park is the river and river access. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice facility nestled in a pecan orchard with deer and various wildlife. Very clean and family friendly. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. Summer reservations are difficult to make, especially for return guests, but if you get in, it is worth it. One of our favorite places for over 5 years. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A very peaceful park nestled in pecan orchard. Many birds and deer. Great owners. We stayed a week in early spring and recommend reservations during summer months.Located on the Frio River, but requires a hike of about 300 yards to get to river's edge.We will return when in the area.No frills here, just peace and quiet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
