Stayed here a month. Beautiful resort with very large sites and plenty of grass. Some scheduled group activities such as pot lucks, etc. Will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This place has the WOW factor. The website does not do it justice, so the park was much prettier and upscale than I expected. The grass looks like a golf course and everything is immaculate in appearance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. At this time of year, there are not many activities going on, but they are gearing up for the Winter Texans. I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a short stay or a long stay. There is something for everyone. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. Rate shown is for a pull-through. Back in spaces are a little less. Rate includes free Wi-Fi and cable TV. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Spent 4th of July weekend at this park, and don't have one negative thing to say. The park was near capacity, but the amenities and facilities were great. Clean pool, hot tub, showers, restrooms, and manicured lawns. There was a 4th of July Parade, hamburger social, ice cream social, and an awesome fireworks display. Lots of families, kids, and respectable RV'ers. We'll definitely return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed for 4 nights and loved it.The park was recommended by a repeat camper of the park. She spoke highly of it and we wanted to try it out. So we did!!!I loved the whole place; and the scenery surrounding us was lovely. We had a tree limb accident in another town on our way to Buckhorn did not know it until our set up there. The team in the office helped me quickly to find their repairman Chris. Inexpensive and new at stuff, he put our mind right to ease and made the repairs. I knew we were at a good place. All the staff were friendly. I loved the garbage pickup every morning. Never saw dumpsters. The pool and showers and laundry were right next to our site. The little grocery store was stocked. We did not have to leave, but on a trip to town we discovered the Lake House Fish Restaurant. Best fish this TEXAS girl ever put in her mouth. This park was wonderful and loved the stream with loads of fish. It was very relaxing there and we never heard the Interstate. It is a must go to place. You'll love it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is what a RV resort should be. I can not say enough about the facilities and staff. We stayed for more than 2 weeks and will return anytime we are within the area. We even were able to get massages on site in the spa. We stayed in the adult only executive area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Fantastic campground! This is the most beautiful park! It is meticulously groomed! It is a tad pricey but definitely worth it! Depending on the time of year, they cater meals & feature movies on their cable system every night. They have a guy that goes to the rigs & does a superior job of washing & waxing rigs - we were pleased by the job he did. Buckhorn also has a handyman that is available to work on the individual rigs & repairs whatever needs to be done (in our case, we needed to have our a/c worked on & he fixed it professionally. The roads are all paved, as are the sites. There are 2 or 3 pools & one of them is for adults only. We also stated in the adult section. The exercise room is clean & the equipment well maintained. Wi-Fi is fast & dependable. Interstate 10 is nearby & is a little noisy but other than that, this park is perfect & we gladly give it a 10! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Could be a 10. Host at office could be more friendly. This is a great place if you have a big rig. I've never seen so many Prevost in one place, at least 15 and they we not at a rally. Clean, paved streets, pads and patio. We'll be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground gets our highest rating. It is beautiful. Paved streets, grassy areas, paved camp site, excellent patio tables. We had a pull forward site with a nice view of the lake/river/stream. The staff was excellent and the facilities are upscale. There are many pull thru sites that are excellent for a motor home and tow vehicle. The grounds are pleasant to walk around and our pet "Sammy" loved it. No stickers here. If we return to the hill country of Texas this campground will be on our itinerary. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beautiful park, easy access, extra long sites. We're 43' towing full size SUV and still had extra room on slab. Staff not outgoing. By contrast other campers were some of the friendliest we've had the privilege to meet. Lady in office would not honor big rigs 2nd nite free offer as I didn't present it at check-in. My mistake and I didn't argue, but the advertisement made no such stipulation. Oh well, live and learn. We will return as the place is very nice. I give it a 10 partly due to some of the so called "resorts" we've stayed at in the past that weren't. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Other than Outdoor Resorts, this is the only park that I have rated as a 10. The rate given is for month in the Executive section. No one under 16 is permitted in this area. However, this time of year it really doesn't matter since the kids are in school anyway. In this area the sites are very large with large patios and with a nice table and 4 chairs. The other sites in the park are very adequate size and have bench type tables. There are a very few sites with shade. The "Club" section has lots available on long term lease (30 years) with some beautiful casitas and homes. Free Wi-Fi, not outstanding signal, but adequate. Verizon cell phones--this is an extended area and the signal is weak, but can usually make a call. There is lots to do in the area, Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, vineyards, etc. At out site there is a huge grassy area which makes a beautiful and peaceful setting. I would recommend this resort for long or short term stays. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Not sure what the other reviewers were looking at. Yes, this CG looks nice on the outside, but don't judge a book by its cover. Bathrooms were dirty. My husband got violently ill at the barn from food poisoning. Could not go outside to enjoy weather as we nearly got run over by the person mowing. Wifi barely worked, we were better off driving 7 miles to the Starbucks to get online. Front office staff was horrible. Better parks in the area where you get more for the money. We will NOT stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We camped one night on our way to the gulf. This was a beautiful park that seemed very well kept. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is spotless! We stayed here for the New Year and were very impressed. The grass is like carpet, the sites and roads are concrete, and the bathrooms are immaculate. The Wi-Fi and cable worked flawlessly. The staff was very friendly. Overall the park is very quiet, but you can hear some truck noise from the interstate. We look forward to staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Perhaps the best park in the state. Very well designd and layed out. Sites are big rig friendly and level. Lots of amenities and many services available for those requesting them. Our rate was based on the weekly rate ($210) plus electric. Only park we have ever been in that told us to pay when we check out. Good cable and wifi. Laundry area was very clean. The hooks ups and pads are super. We had some problems with cell phone signal but it worked ok most of the time (we use verizon). We noticed just a little traffic noise, but in general it was very quite and we liked the easy access to I-10. We would stay in this park again when in the area and will stay longer the next time we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a great park! We had a spot that faced a stream and a treed area. There are lots of things to do here and the staff is friendly. You park on cement. The trees are small so there is no problem with satellite. Verizon cell phone service is poor however. my only complaint is that is gets cold at night in the winter. We were here for two months (hence the low figure for nightly rate) and loved it. The days are warm and breezy. We will definitely come back but maybe it will be in the shoulder season when the nights are warmer. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park! Well spaced, and manicured. Friendly staff. Used the hot-tub on New Years Eve and it was great. Wifi worked well. Spent 3 nights and will definitely return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is our 3rd stay here, and we'll be back. All concrete sites with lots of room for the RV and tow or towed. Trash pickup each morning at curbside, phone at the site, free WiFi internet access. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground has a very easy access. Its the nicest Campground I have ever seen. I travel in a 45' Newell and it is definitely a Big Rig or little rig park. The check in staff member (man) was not very nice, but everyone else was. Maybe he was just having a bad day. He got aggrivated because we had a discount coupon from the Big Rig book, but didn't tell him first. He should have asked and had to recalculate the fee for the three day stay. I felt that they would give me the discount if I asked but if I didn't they would make more money. I can't blame them for wanting to make a profit but I felt that they were not being totally honest. That is my only complaint. Other than that one person the campground is a 10 plus. They even tell you that you can WASH you coach. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wonderful campground! This is probably the nicest, cleanest campground we've ever stayed at or at least one of the nicest & cleanest! It definitely has the WOW factor! Check in is very efficient & friendly. There are 2 swimming pools - one for adults, the other for families. Pads are concrete & trash is picked up each morning. This campground is impeccable! It has many things to do & is in a beautiful location! We do plan to return! We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park staff were very personable and helpful. All facilities were maintained extremely well, except some of curves on interior roads need repaving. This is a great destination park near Hill Country and San Antonio. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great resort park. Can be a destination as there are plenty of activities available. We just stayed 1 night as a stopover, but it is what all other parks/resorts should strive for. All driveways and sites are concrete, also grass everywhere. Separate parking for adults only. This is the best there is! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is one of the best campgrounds that we have visited. the sites are large and have easy access. Cable is included. the bathrooms were spotless. The owners go out of their way to meet any reasonable request of a guest. I would recommend this campground for anyone who wants to explore the Texas Hill area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a top rated park and should be a 10 plus. Very large sites and roads. Everything is so clean. Pool for kids and one for adults only. Everything you can think of is here. No open fires on ground. Layout of park is great. WiFi is free and works very well. Kerrville is five miles away for all your needs, super Wal-Mart and good places to eat. Outstanding park to visit. Staff was great and very helpful to me. I could not hear any noise from I-10 from our site and we were on south side near road, I-10 is 1/2 mile away. I only wish more RV resorts were setup like this place. We will return anytime we travel this way on I-10 to spend more time here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed there with Rally group (Sweetheart Rally) over a very cold weekend in the hill country. This is a first rate park with great interior roads. Facilities are great and staff friendly. Will be back again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
All things considered, facilities, amenities, beautiful setting, easy access....you will not find a nicer park than this one anywhere. Close to everything one would need...shopping, restaurants, San Antonio, etc. The only possible negative for some might be road noise from I-10....a small price to pay for such natural beauty (our humble opinion). We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of a few parks we've stayed in that really can be called a resort park. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Wi-fi service is strong from every part of the park, and they have telephone hookups at each site. The park is just off of the interstate, but highway noise is not noticeable. A great place to stay for a night or a week. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Beautifully manicured sites with large concrete pads. The only negatives we found were the limited cable selections and the close proximity to I-10. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is by far the nicest park we have stayed at, and would deserve a 10, but the last two visits have demonstrated to us that management thinks they are doing you a favor letting you stay in their park. I have reviewed this park each of the 3 times I've stayed, and the numbers are going down. It is beautiful, the grounds are well kept, the facilities are great (although we all miss the Irish Pub), but I really notice the "attitude". And, as my wife says, if I notice it, it must be really bad. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This RV Resort is just as good as everyone says. Staff was very helpful in finding site. Extremely well kept and clean. Pool and spa were outstanding. All roads and sites were paved. Free WiFi was a tad slow at times but very acceptable. Cable channels were clear. I would highly recommend this park for anyone in the Kerrville area. Several nice golf courses fairly close. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great family owned park. We had a great breakfast, and a "three meat BBQ. Afterwards we had an ice cream social. This family runs a great park and really seems to enjoy catering to the campers. This is worth a visit if you are on I-10 near Kerrville. The place is immaculate. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is what all parks should strive to emulate. It was very clean, easy to maneuver in and out. Would have loved to stay longer. Very friendly staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We loved this resort. Last year when we first became full-timers, this was our first stop. We spent six-weeks here and did not want to leave. It is clean, friendly with large paved sites, large paved roads. It has two pool areas (one is only for those over 16 years of age – the other for families). It has all the amenities that you could want from a resort and it is extremely affordable. Plus, this area of Texas is so beautiful. Kerrville is a lovely little town with a great river running through. The resort is about 20 miles from historic Fredricksburg and an hour from San Antonio. There is caught and release fishing on site. The grounds are very well kept. Plus, for any of your RV maintenance needs, they have contracts with service providers who will come to you – not the other way around. We plan to return there this summer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
All of the things said about this campground are true. Best we have ever stayed in. Free, fast WiFi, relatively short list of free cable channels, instant free phone, plus all the amenities one could ask for. This park will be the one for comparison to all others in future. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very poor communications from Staff. Very Rude attendant. We have camped here since 2001 and attitude and service has fallen off tremendously this year. Excellent Facilities, poor, poor Management and help, too many other sites in the Hill Country to put up with this attitude. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Outstanding, roomy big-rig friendly RV park conveniently located. Far superior to anything in San Antonio, and far less expensive. Great for a one nighter or for a longer stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Well this is tough camping, they have everything. Besides what is listed they have great dinners on Monday evening. The Park people are excellent and work hard. The guests are friendly, except Snow Birds, they might consider going back north. Texans are very sensitive and should be treated politely. PS I am still looking for the lake, a small stream but no lake? We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a pleasure (i.e. to get what you pay for). If you don't mind the extra couple of dollars, this is the place to head for. Nice, friendly, good location, great food, nice sites, and a place to return to. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice park and well taken care of. This is one of the nicest parks that we have stayed in. Everything was as representated by previous posters and we were not disappointed. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of the few parks that really justify a 10 notwithstanding the three-foot snake that meandered by our RV shortly after we arrived (remember, this is rural Texas and the snakes were here first). Exceptional facilities that were obviously designed by an architect, not cobbled together by the usual do-it-yourself RV park owner. Wide sites, concrete pads and paved roads. A bit too close to the freeway (take a half point off the rating) but not too bad. Good WiFi. Suitable for a long stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We just got back from a great weekend there. It was our 2nd time out in our RV and this place was clean, friendly, and convenient to many things in the area. We have kids and they said it was a great vacation! They loved fishing in the lake, swimming in the clean pool, and meeting new friends! We will keep this on our go back to list! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A++++ Highly recommended! One of the nicest (if not the nicest) parks we've stayed in! They have paved roads, paved sites with FULL hookups (even dual-water!) Instant-on phones, free WI-FI, the owners obviously spared no expense on this park! We could LIVE there! They have a stocked stream full of turtles, bass, and catfish. Lots of ducks roaming around. The staff was excellent to say the least! They have a small bar/restaurant that serves excellent Irish cuisine and cuisine native to the area like friend catfish, shrimp, etc. In short this park makes you forget you're in Texas! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nicely maintained park with large sites for the most part. Water sites were facing a very small stream. Nice staff and well stocked store. WIFI somewhat limited by location but no additional charge. Next to I-10. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have stopped at this campground a couple of times in the past few years but only for overnight stays. It a really pretty, clean park. The spots are nice and big and we would love to have the opportunity to spend more time there in the future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Buckhorn Lake RV Resort is at the top of my list of parks visited over the past eleven years of motor homing. Anyone traveling west of San Antonio on I-10 should consider stopping at this Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Cleanest and best maintained park we have ever visited. We make a point of staying there at least once every year as we travel throughout Texas. Quiet park with level concrete pads, park store, immaculate restrooms and showers, pools, spas, breakfast and dinner. They have a reserved area for adults only that we frequent for a tad more quiet even though we have never witnessed any rowdy kids anywhere in the park. This park sets the standard for all others to follow. All staff have always been friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I don't see how anyone could complain about this place ("executive area" or lack of an actual "Lake"???). One of the best parks we have ever stayed in - anywhere - period!!! We live close and camp here a couple of time each summer just for fun, to link up with friends traveling through the area, or to use the pool when it hot (and it's always hot down here). Very well done, no expense spared here. Paved roads, nice sites, 1st class hook up's, nice people, convenient to the highway. I think it's the best stop between San Antonio and El Paso. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
I think this is the nicest campground that we have ever stayed at, facilities are top
notch and the customer service is excellent We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Being fulltimers we can't say enough about this resort. Owners are there daily ready to meet your every need. Resort is super clean everywhere. Sites are large, paved and well spaced. They have great home cooked meals for $5-7, activities and 3 movies nightly on your tv. What more could you want?? Ah yes, pets!! This place is heaven for animals. And they provide pick up bags!! Lots of room to walk your pet and enjoy the surroundings. The staff is super friendly and willing to help with anything you throw at them. Really the greatest place for the buck!! Very nice pet friendly park with lots of exercise space. Wi-Fi available for additional charge, good connection. Rates do vary depending on who checks you in, contrary to another viewers comments. Brother stayed there part of the time we were there. He stayed in 'executive' area with a 'free' upgrade paying lower site rates - he owns a Prevost. Executive area suppose to be adults only, but children were allowed, again depending on who checks you in. We had nice back in site with open pasture at back for a good dog exercise area. Read last review and sounds like disgruntled employee posted it. We have camped there
often this summer and talked to many of campers there and found we all paid the same. We have stayed in different type sites there and paid accordingly. Trees are limited but then this is a new campground and trees need time to grow and mature. True there is no lake but there is stocked fishing available. The owners were campers before owners and love to come around and visit with campers there. Last reviewer needs to go elsewhere if they think they were so
mistreated. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very impressed with the entire staff. Friendly, clean park. Pet friendly with even doggie
disposal stations thruout the park with bags furnished. Felt like we were on a golfing green with the well maintained grass area. Shade is a premium. Restrooms were very clean and handicapped assesible with seats in each of the showers. Two pools, one for adults, one for family makes it nice for everyone. Excellent meals served on the weekends and special holidays. Cannot say enough about the friendliness of the office staff and workers. Will be back again for longer stay. We stayed here for one night in 2002 and came back to spend extended amount of time this summer (2003). Found park to be nice, quiet, clean and overall a great park. There are two pools, two bathhouses, two hottubs. The restrooms are complete with 3 showers for each gender in each building and those all are handicap accessible with seats. There are signs that even the water for laundry and showering is soft water. Is this heaven or what??? We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a delight! This is a new park, about 2 years old, but well-laid out, attractive, spacious, and staffed by folks whose attitude is: "what can we do for you". The park is close to I-10 with an easy exit and ample entrance/registration room. Staff serves about five tasty specialty meals a week for a nominal price,in a beautiful stone barn, also a great feature for rallies. We stayed 9 days and were not "bothered" by the large number of rally folks in for 5 days. The park is dog friendly, with believe it or not, conscientious dog owners! There are two pools, etc., a park area, swan families in the fishing lakes, a nice store, and at present, before expansion is completed from about 130 sites to 225, plenty of exercise room in a pasture for dogs. Kerrville is about 6 miles away and Fredericksburg, about 25--both are fun and interesting towns to visit. Late April weather was warm in the mornings, but faired off to lovely afternoons and evenings. It is by far the nicest camping experience we've had in 5 years of fulltiming. The owners are in the hospitality business and their attitude begets good campers' attitudes. Don't miss it! Bring your manners when you come, because this doesn't come around often! Great new RV park, nicely landscaped, concrete interior roads and sites. many long pull-thrus for big rigs. We camped here in a camper.
Low nightly rate is based on their monthly rate. We stayed for a month with the Guadalupe River view out the back wheel of our Fifth Wheel. The owners and residents were friendly and courteous. With excellent free WiFi, we could stay in touch with family and friends. Cable was standard (13 channels) and free. Good view of southern sky for our satellite dish. Owners want to please, and go out of their way to do so. We will come back here when we visit the Hill Country. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Outstanding!!! The new owners of the campground have done a great job and trying to improve from former management's apparent lack of ambition. We spent 2 months there and would return tomorrow if possible. The river is scenic, plenty of activities for people who wish to be social. If something is not working, they take care of it immediately. The staff there is top rate and very generous with their time. Would love to stay but forced to return to Ohio. Will be back next January to this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed one month. During one week one unit was kicked out because of reckless DUI driving, a couple had to be rescued by emergency service because they were locked in their unit injured, reportedly intoxicated, one unit let trash blow all over after a drinking party. Club house was closed for 4 days for use by a small private group of campers. Only half of the dryers worked. Park need to decide if they want senior wintering Texans or full time boozers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Consistently clean park to which we continue to return. The park was near capacity, yet the staff was friendly and helpful (more so than our previous stay). We were there with two other families, but weren't able to get sites very close to each other. This could have been due to our late reservation planning, but there were also empty sites between where the three of us were assigned. Great playground for the kids, and the indoor heated pool (limited hours for kids) is a big draw for us and others with smaller kids when the weather is less than desirable. We will return again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We love this park. This is our second time here this year. This time we stayed a week. It has a beautiful indoor lap pool, sauna, steam room and spa. Plenty of area to walk and Wal-Mart is nearby. Many options for dining out. We will come back again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great spot !! Being not normally a fan of large, highly organized parks, this one is a fine exception. An RVer of any type and of any disposition will, one would think, find this park an ace ! This, from a quite longtime motorhome dweller who says good things about very few RV parks these days - especially larger ones ! We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a gorgeous resort! We were unable to get a waterfront spot as we picked this place the day before we arrived, but even in the second row we had a stunning view of the Guadalupe River. They escort you to your site, and offer any help you may need with directions, hookups, etc. The park has deer feeders on each side of it between the parking and the river, so there were deer walking not 50 feet from us all evening. They even told us at check-in that our pets could walk without a leash once they were by the river if they were well socialized and would not cause a problem. There was an abundance of shade trees. We don't have children, but the children's areas were clean and much nicer than at other sites. We can't wait to come back to this resort and spend more time there on our next trip. By far the nicest park we have seen. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a fun park. The sites are level and we maintained. There were lots of kids here and alot to keep them busy. Besides the river, there are two outdoor pools, an indoor pool and spa, sauna, steam sauna, game room, work out area, gym with basketball and pickleball, bands on the weekends, a bar and more. It is in a great location for exploring Kerrville. We would return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Excellent place. Our springer loved the river and our mini weiner dog learned to swim. Lots of deer. Most sites have good shade. Adult only pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room available. Was only going to stay one night and decided to stay three. WiFi didn't work at all for us. It has a saloon with entertainment on Saturday night. Will come back and try to get a site over looking the river. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park on the river. We used it as an overnight, but would make a great destination park. While we were in late and out early, they seemed to have tons of activities for campers. Paved sites and everything worked great. Easy in and out. A little road noise but it was OK. Will stay here again on the return trip. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park has three pools, two outside - one family and one adult and an adult-only indoor pool. They are allowing children in the indoor adult-only pool from 11am to 2pm. No where in their website or brochure do they tell you this. I chose this park in particular because it had an adult-only indoor pool. There's no park supervision at pool and children in diapers are going in the pool (which probably is why its so cloudy after the kids leave), running, jumping, screaming, etc. I will not come back to this park. They need to decide whether they want kids or adults. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is every bit as good as the other reviews have suggested. Upon arrival, we were led to our site and assisted with backing in. Then, while I was setting the chocks and unhooking they showed up with a load of firewood that had been left at a nearby site! It was very cold that day, and this was very welcome. The grounds are very well maintained, and the river access, was beautiful. This is a very large park, yet everything was ran great. The staff was helpful and courteous. It was easy to see why everyone we met had been coming there several years in a row. We will definitely be back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Park is excellent, however the new owners and staff are not customer oriented (see below). Electric is not included in the monthly rate, cable is extra. So for the $420 site fee (for water and sewer)plus $30 cable fee plus electric which is metered (ours cost us $60, an overcharge in our book)= $510 approximately, the campground was NOT worth it. Our site, in the newer section, was level, but we had asked for shade - not trees - and be close to the pet walk - NOT. So we walked our pet on the river park - which was beautiful, except for the droppings of other pets that had not been picked up, or the fact that other owners let their pet off leash in the area. Also, our electric meter was broken and was not discovered until our checkout. Instead of coming to an equitable solution, since we did not use our AC, and ran fridge and water heater on propane, we felt that $60 was way too much for the 3 weeks we spent there. The owner said the meter was read and that was what we owed. You could not argue with him. He did not care that it was broken. We paid, but we won't be back. Note:We had paid for electric at another park and the rate was the same 12 cents KW and it was $15 there - and we used the AC at that park. Just be cautious when staying there. Second trip to this park in a year, and we will return again. This year (2008), they modified their pool rules and now allow children in the heated indoor pool during certain hours. It was a great change, and the main reason we returned there in the cold weather. Sites are clean and level, and the greenbelt to the river is nice. They have added a deer feeder, and we saw numerous animals over a long weekend. We were bumped from our originally selected (when reservation was made) site by a long term camper wanting the same one, so we understood. Drawback was that we were shuffled away from sight of the playground. Weather was so cold that we only utilized the playground once or twice. Instead, we took advantage of their awesome 6,000 square foot indoor/outdoor pavilion that was heated. Kids rode scooters and played with a soccer ball in a controlled environment when it was below freezing outside. Only negative to report was a WiFi signal so weak we couldn't access the internet or emails. It worked fine on our last trip there, so I assume it was just our distance from the signal. The nightly rate is based upon a one month stay including electric costs which are paid separately. This is a great RV Park in a Great Small City of approximately 20k. There are more quality restaurants in Kerrville than any other town of this size we have visited. The quality of the staff hired is outstanding. They are accommodating and friendly. When we leave here, this is the type of park we want to go to. We fulltime, and we will return here again and again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Long pull-through sites with grass, concrete patio w/table are nice. Our site was paved, but contrary to other posts, we did see some gravel sites in one area of the park. The free WIFI consists of two systems ...one was very weak at our site. The stronger one still dropped the connection from time to time, and was via a system called CoachConnect, which required a second log-in to use a web browser. Sometimes the second log-in would not happen, and when it did it NEVER re-directed us to our original web page as it indicated it would. The park is nice enough, but we felt their regular prices are way beyond reason. We were here with a large rally group that had negotiated a lower price for the group. We would never pay their normal rates, but then again, we have no interest in two pools and the typical other "destination" park add-ons. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here, with a riverview site, in a travel trailer for the 4th of July weekend & we plan on making this an annual tradition. This resort is very clean and the view from the sites down to the river is beautiful with a lush green lawn, lots of trees, swings, a playground and a small outdoor amphitheater. There is a saloon and rental cabins, as well as a swimming pool for families and one for adults only. There is a gameroom, clean laundry facilities and the staff is more than friendly. Free wi-fi throughout and cable for an extra $3/night. I highly recommend this resort and cannot wait to return. We only wish there was one this nice closer to our home. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Other than the fact that it rained every day we were there with flash flood warnings this is a great park. All facilities are as listed on website. Only had one problem with the free Wi-Fi, and not sure if it was my computer or the signal itself. My wife really loved Kerrville and Fredricksburg and I liked the centralized location for my planned activities (motorcycle riding). Too bad the rain kept me from my plans. Really enjoyed the Memorial Day party, (Sunday night), they provided a band and a free bar-b-q, even though we had to stay under an umbrella. Overall, very impressed and will go back in a "New York minute". We camped here in a Fif
