Note: The park is free, but this review wouldn't let me enter "0" for the rate. We stopped here just for an overnight stay on our way to Abilene. We got there after dark; it took a few minutes (with a flashlight) to find the hookups. After that it was no problem. It's true that there's a slope. Your front end will need good jacks. The water and electricity worked fine. We didn't use the dump station. Only two other RVs were there, so we were all able to space ourselves with plenty of room. There was consistent city road noise all night, but for free it was bearable. The surrounding park is very pretty, lots of trees. The city makes a point of saying on their web site that this RV parking is for tourists only. Location: This park is large, but the RV parking itself is at the southeast corner of Hwy. 137 (Bryan St.) and South 9th Street. It's small and easy-to-miss if you're not looking, but you won't have a problem if you know where to look. Overall, a convenient, free place for a stopover. We'd stay there again. This is a free campground site run by the city of Lamesa for overnight campers. Basic back in on asphalt with water and electric (30amps) (free). Nice, clean park like setting with playground across the street. Sites not to level-jacks have to do a good job! Overall you can't beat it for a FREE overnight spot. Its at Junction of JCT of Hwy 137 and S Ninth street. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
