We’ve parked at several combination or transitional Mobile Home/RV Parks and have had good experiences, but this one felt like a low-end trailer park. Loud muscle cars and pickup trucks driving too fast, late parties, and people short-cutting across our site between our RV and our toad! A surprise after reading the phrase “sensible rules rigidly enforced” on their web site. The site and road layout is one of the worst we’ve seen for RV’s. Obviously designed by people with NO RV experience EVER. I don’t even know how to describe the obstacles I had to back around to get into our site, but I can assure you, it was worse than any cones my RV Driving School instructor ever set up. We were in a brand new, level, concrete site with patio, but the water hookup was on the wrong side! There is a laundry on site, but we went out the door faster than we went in. One good thing, when I looked on their web site I was concerned that their bizarre castle gate front entrance might be a problem for our unusually tall RV, but it’s huge and we had plenty of clearance. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found the park to be clean and staff friendly. Paved roads and sites are wide enough for easy in and out. Our site, 79, was easy to navigate with our 40 foot 5th wheel. Some of the other sites might not be as easy for large units. Signs need to be improved. As we pulled into the park, we were lucky enough to meet a resident who told us how to get to the office. Only cash or check accepted. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A couple of notes that will help here. The park was easy to find with our Garman GPS although the access freeway (289) is under construction and the approach VERY narrow. This park accepts only checks or cash. No credit cards. The day clerk was very nice and efficient. washers are $1 and dryers in 25 cent increments. No cable TV, although there is a connection. The quoted rate of $22 is for a back-in site. Pull-throughs are $24.50. Verizon cards worked well. No other WiFi. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Like many have said before, the pull through site hook ups vary from pad to pad. It's a bit awkward pulling into the pull throughs down at the end due to the angle wide turn you may have to make based on you length. No Cable or Wi-Fi. The restrooms are located by the office, there is only one Men and Women restroom with showers in each. We stayed here for a one nighter. Extremely friendly staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice clean RV park in a good part of Lubbock. It is a former mobile home park, and there are still a few mobile homes, but mainly RV's now. There are quite a few year-round residents, but it looks nice, as they have tight restrictions on how sites must be kept. Roads are paved and wide, and sites are pull through near the office, or back in mobile home pads elsewhere (which offer a roomier location). Security is good, with video in public areas, and a regular patrol service. Residents for longer than a week must submit to a background check. It's fairly quiet, but if you are there on a Monday evening camp away from the fitness club next door as there is a live announcer and music that is cranked up full blast. Rest rooms and showers are clean, but there is only one men's shower and one for the ladies. The manager is very friendly, and helpful. There is no Wi-Fi, but Sprint broadband works in the park, although a bit slower than in many areas of the city. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice and clean place with a pool! pull through sites were very well kept. Very impressed with this nice park in Lubbock Texas. It is close to shopping at the mall, Sams Club and Target, easy access and lots of trees. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Cash or check only! The park was fine and if they ever finish the SR-289 loop, it will be an easy on and off. Great for overnight. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We would agree with some of the prior comments regarding the layout of the utilities. Please note that there is no consistency in where the utilities are located. This is probably due to the fact that the park is converting from a mobile park to a RV campground. My advice would be to look at the site before driving into the spot. A number of sites have the sewer outlet in the back just beyond the concrete pad (requiring at least a 20 foot hose). The bathrooms were clean but a little tired looking. The bathroom hallway was dimly lit. We did not use the bathrooms. The laundry looked OK but we did not use them either. There was neither Wi-Fi nor cable at this park. Our Verizon air-card worked well. The park was quiet at night. We stayed there for a week and would come back again if we were in the neighborhood. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We are regular customers at this RV park. We travel through in the summer months and have doctor appointments in winter months as well as come to TTU football games in the fall. We have always been greeted and assisted very well by the managers and staff. The park is always kept up and clean. Reservations are a must in the summer months due to high traffic and popularity. Camelot is the nicest RV park in Lubbock! The people are great and attentive! No better place to be in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived just before closing time. The clerk was friendly and nice. We were in a fifth wheel traveling with companions in a motor home. The hookups for the pull through sites were located in the pad. We have never seen that before. They had been run over so many times the sleeves were broken and there was no cover on the sewer. I had to park to the side of the pad to keep my wheels from resting on the hook ups. Therefore I had to crawl under the fifth wheel on my belly to hook up the water and sewer. The temperature that day had been over 100 and the concrete burned me as I hooked up the utilities. We hurried to get the air conditioners going to cool things off and get the 2 dogs in the fifth wheel. Our traveling companions hooked up their motorhome at the same time. We no sooner got the AC going and both of us lost all electricity. The office was closed so I called the night number. The person answering the phone was trying to be polite but was aggressively very irritated at the same time at the inconvenience of my call. She said she would call maintenance and have them come look at the problem. In the mean time we are sweltering and so are the pets. I waited for maintenance what was about 30 minutes. We had already checked the breakers when we first lost power and they were not working. It dawned on me that there might be a breaker somewhere else that had tripped. Sure enough I spotted a couple of breaker boxes between the two sites and found a 100 amp breaker that was tripped. Voila! We had power again. I was rather proud of the fact that I had solved the problem so easily. I called the manager back and explained what I had done. I was told that it was their equipment and how dare I touch their equipment. I said excuse me but we were hot and had not seen anyone from maintenance. She stated in a very irritated way that she would cancel the maintenance call. She was very rude. I told her I was happy to help out and save everyone time out of their evening. A few minutes later a woman showed up at the door of our fifth wheel and asked my wife if she would have me "step outside". It was like an invitation to come out and fight. I was walking the dogs at the time waiting for the fifth wheel to cool down and was not there. The woman muttered something to my wife about getting her children at school and was interrupted by my call. She left in a huff since I couldn't come out and fight. It is the strangest thing I have ever seen at an RV park. We will definitely not stay there again. They are cash only, no internet, no cable, no service. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

An unusual park. The night/overnight spaces were long pull-throughs. However, the connections (sewer/water) were in the middle of the concrete pad. Therefore, you need to ensure that you do no drive over the "hole" and that you pull forward far enough so that you can access the connections. The rest of the park for longer term stays looked quite nice. The lady in the office had worked there for a long time. She was very nice. We would stay here again. It was convenient and the price was right. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I was very impressed with the appearance and the lack of noise at this RV Park.The lady that I dealt with was very patient and understanding starting with my late arrival and early departure. She was available by phone the several times that I called her to ask questions.The office was closed but she always answered the phone. It was my first trip to Lubbock and If I return I will certainly stay at this RV Park without hesitation. By the way, it is very well located by Loop. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Sights are concrete large and level. We took my daughter to Tech orientation for 2 1/2 days and had towed a SUV plus jet/skis to continue on for the week. 50 amp service and nice little patio yards gave each site a nice roomy feel.Maneuvering around the campsite was a breeze due to plenty of space and plenty of parking. Only 1.5 miles from Tech campus and centrally located for shopping. Even though it close to Loop 289 we noticed no noise from traffic. I did not see a swimming pool here or it would have gotten a 10. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Large park with hidden office location. Trees and spacious. Arrived at 7 pm and office closed at 5 pm. Payment cash only. Over-nite pull-thrus were paved but the utility hookups were dated. Drop box registration form asked for social security number !! No, of course I didn't give it. I would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an old trailer park trying to make it as a RV park. We had a pull through in front of the office. It is the type where the water and sewer are in a hole that is under your RV. The sewer had been run over so many times that it was just a hole in the cement, with no cover. There is a cable hook up, but it is not turned on according to the people in the office. It would cost too much to turn on. The turn into and out of the park is very tight. Big rigs beware. I would really try hard to find somewhere else to stay. The owners don't have a clue what a modern RV park requires to bring in RVer's. There was a nice looking park we passed on Hwy 180 in Wolforth. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed in this park visiting daughter at Texas Tech. Very nice, quiet, and clean. We got there after the office had closed and deposited our money in an envelope and never saw the management. Will stay there again and again and again, atleast until graduation. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I was hugely mislead by these park reviews. Upon my entrance, I saw as many mobile homes as travel trailers. Streets are curbed for what is clearly set up for permanent residents. I was disappointed at the number of very old RVs and older trailer houses. I decided to find another place to camp. I will admit, the park is conveniently located. Its not my idea of "RVing". We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice RV park. I noticed in the prior post that the writer was unhappy with the mobile homes that are present - but it IS advertised as an RV & mobile home park. Both times we have stayed there, there have been more RV's than mobile homes. The mobile home residents appear to follow stringent rules, i.e no clothes lines, no vehicles parked in the streets, sites must be kept immaculate, etc. The park is well laid out & sites are roomy. Staff is friendly & helpful & pool has been clean during both of our visits. Campground is quiet & clean & the nicest in town. We've had no problems during our visits there & felt safe. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Convenient location, clean park with paved streets & sites, mature trees. Made reservations from out of state, assigned a site #, office is closed on weekends. Stayed 3 nights while visiting family. Note: Reserved short term pull-thru's are built on a mound, very high-centered, ground clearance may be a problem. Cable tv is satellite access only, for short term. Site #81 is on the corner of a very busy park intersection, near dumpsters & includes a community park bench. High traffic, noisy location, day & night. Nice park overall, would stay again, but will request a different location. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very well laid out, clean, quiet park with a mix of short & long term residents. Discounts for Good Sam, FMCA and others. Located on the west side of Loop 289 off of 34th street. Entrance is somewhat tight for big rigs but if you go slowly it is not a problem. Close to Texas Tech and shopping. We have stayed at 2 of the parks in the area and this one is the best. We plan to return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The host was nice but not terribly helpful. The grounds are clean and kept up. I did not like the shower arrangement with having to walk past the office. It made me self conscious. However, almost no one in this park seems to need public showers with the luxury rigs rolling in. The traffic noise got on my nerves. Lots of shopping, restaurants, Lowe's and Home Depot nearby. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is very handy and great for the price and location. The sites have a concrete pad and full hook ups. The negatives are: highway noise and the sites are close together. Also, be sure to call for availability as most of the park is full of permanent residents with fewer sites for folks passing through. It is also a popular park for those attending Texas Tech sports events so it sold out the weekend we were in town. We will definitely stay here again and do recommend this park as big rig friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There is really no reason to stay anywhere else during a visit to Lubbock, overnight or otherwise. We checked in after an unpleasant experience at another park close by and were very happy we did so. All facilities are as advertised and despite the traffic relatively close by it was quiet. Also very reasonable rates. May seem close to some but I watched three 40' rigs plug up with no problem. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

No amenities, but very clean and also has very friendly staff. Sites are good for big rigs and everything works. You pay for Wi-Fi, but it is very good. Nothing attractive about this place, but if you need to stay in Lubbock, it is enough. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Let me start off by saying we had reservations to stay here but didn't. We arrived into Lubbock around 11:30 pm. We picked up our paper work, which was left for us since the office was closed, which was nice. We asked for a pull through; it was relayed to us that they had pull throughs available. After looking at the map provided from the office it had several sites highlighted for us to choose from: none of them pull throughs. (We decided to stayed at a park right around the corner.) This may be a great park, but somebody dropped the ball here. Also: the website provided for this RV park is very poor and misleading. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Most of the staff was very friendly. We would absolutely stay here again. We had trouble with our car and the Ford dealership didn't get it out of the shop when they were suppose to and the park ended up giving us the weekly rate. This is a great little park, very inexpensive and nothing to complain about. The WiFi isn't free, but even if you pay for it, it's cheaper than other local campgrounds. Easy access from Loop 289. Close to Texas Tech for events. This is our preferred park when visiting Lubbock. Easy pull thru, quiet and has a large grassy place to walk the dog. Only negative is Wi-Fi is not free and no cable TV, but for the price it can't be beat. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is a nice park, with easy access. There are several long term residents, but their sites were neat and well kept. There are large pull through and back in sites, level concrete pads, and good roads. This is the third time we've stayed here and each time we've enjoyed the stay very much. It is a clean well kept park, with a large recreation room, clean laundry facility, clean restrooms and showers. It is close to Loop 289 but the road noise not bad. It is close to the mall, movies, restaurants, etc. We stayed here for a week this time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is ok for an overnight stay. It is a large park with many permanent residents. We arrived after dark and if not for the help of one of the residents, we would of had a bit of trouble getting to our spot. The road we needed to turn down to get to our site, was not well marked. Some shade trees: watch for low branches. The sites are wide enough but the road noise from the highway was a little noticeable. Probably would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Large sites with concrete pads that were very level (I didn't have to use the jacks). Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice grassy area behind most of the sites. Overall a very nice place and good value. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a convenient park off the West end of Loop 289. 30-amp cash price is $20. This is a very clean and pleasant park. A Main Building houses the office, laundry room, restrooms/showers, and community room. The laundry room was very clean and cheerful, which included an adjacent nicely decorated sitting room with a TV. The restrooms and showers were decorated as if it were in a home and very clean. We have been in over 60 RV parks in our current 11-month 28-state trip and without a doubt, this is one of the most pleasant parks we have been in, other than resort-type parks. It is close to freeway traffic, but it wasn't loud enough to bother us. We would certainly stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park staff were very helpful and welcoming. The laundry facilities were good (4 washers and 4 dryers). They have a waiting room with comfortable furniture and satellite television. They also have a kitchen area available for guests and an ice maker with plenty of ice available for purchase. There are very few sites with shade but we asked for one and they accommodated us. Of course this isn't a vacation destination, but if needing a place to stay when in Lubbock this is a good choice. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Spent one night on my yearly trip to Colorado. It is a very good deal for the money. No problems with anything in this CG, great staff, very helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is located in west Lubbock, with easy access. The camp is very clean with a fair number of full timers. However, all are clean and well kept. Pet owners should beware of ticks and stickers. There are not a lot of places for pets. The people are nice. I have stayed there 3 times and will stay there again! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wi-Fi is $3 per day but with the rate this park charges, I don't object to paying extra for Wi-Fi. Nicely spaced sites. Good cable. Satellite friendly. The only reason I rated this park down was because of the road noise. It was quite loud and continued most of the night. Overall a good park. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very enjoyable 12-day stay, and they were very friendly and helpful to us as we had not been in this area previously and so needed some help in finding services such as dry cleaners, etc. The good part was that we were able to receive pkgs and mail thru the office. Will stay again when we are in the area. The access road to the sites plus the sites were very easy to negotiate with towing a travel trailer. Comparing here from previous places we have stayed this park was quiet and location of park was good. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A nice park with wide paved roads and cement RV pads with an additional attached cement pad for TV or toad. The easy-to-access pull-through lots along the south side abut the Gander Mountain parking lot with a stockade fence between the park and Gander Mountain. It is a quiet park not counting the road noise which can be a bit loud at times. There are very clean restrooms and showers; a small library; a meeting room with kitchen; laundry; and friendly owners. Wi-Fi is $3 a day via thewirelessweb. I had no trouble with my Verizon aircard. We would definitely stay here again when we're in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed at most parks in Lubbock overnight at one point or another, and we feel this park is the nicest Lubbock has. In addition, the rate of 18 dollars per night makes this park a bargain. Sites are nice wide concrete pads with nicely manicured grass (No stickers!) The roads in the park are wide asphalt so big rig access is easy. The restrooms and laundry room are very clean and look new. The owner keeps a strict appearance code, so there are no decrepit RV's in the park like most of the other parks in Lubbock. Additionally, the location of this park in Lubbock cannot be beat for shopping, access to Texas Tech, and hospitals. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A nice park on the west side of Lubbock with all the amenities required. Not a fancy place, but very neat and tidy with a friendly staff. Easy in, easy out, pretty quiet despite being fairly close to Loop 289. I'll camp there again and recommend it to others. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice basic park. No complaints. What I liked about it best is that they allow you to wash your RV. A big plus in my book. Getting a site with a clear view of the southern sky instead of one of the shade sites was easy too. We camped here in a Motorhome.

$20 using CC, $18 or cash for pull-thru 30amp. This park is great location for visiting Lubbock; it is just off West Loop 289. The roads and sites are paved, which was nice since it rained 2 inches the morning we left. Most of the park has "seasonals" or "permenants" but the sites available are easy in and out. We drive a 38' MH and had plenty of room. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 2 nights on a nice spacious pull-through concrete pad. WIFI was available at cost through an outside provider. Access was easy for our 40' rig and toad. The park was very neat and clean, but grass was somewhat limited. We would stay again if passing through the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very noisy and hard to get to with ongoing road construction. This may improve by 2007. Cramped park with lots and lots of full timers. The "pull through" sites are very hard to negotiate. Lot of road noise. Sites are too short for any medium or big rig. OK for overnight in a pinch. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Good Park set back off the Loop. Nice place to stay if your a visiting Texas Tech Uni. Has nice laundry room & gameroom. Close to grocery stores, shopping, etc... Some permanent campers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I am a fulltimer and like to ride my bike. I rode to this park to look around, not one minute later a staff member came to me and asked if I was staying there. I said I was staying at the park across the street and just checking around and he told me to leave the park. This to me is very very bad business! Good luck to all We camped here in a camper.

We are new to Texas as my husband travels with work, and stayed here for a few months. Let's just say it needs some work. There is no grass anywhere, and little shade. Scorpions and stray cats run around frequently, so watch out! The water pressure is horrible and internet (which you have to pay for) is also horrible. It is very, very slow and seldom connects in less than 5 minutes. There is a dog park which is located in the front of the park and has no shade or grass. The park is mainly gravel and dirt with narrow roads and narrow lots. There is no where to park and it's a big problem when people are coming and going. The weekends are full of noisy campers looking to party and crank the music up at all hours. The "full timers" obviously get the run of the place and roam around snooping as well dumping trash into the dumpsters without trash bags and don't break down boxes. We were very disappointed with this KOA and do NOT recommend it to anyone, unless only staying 3 days or less. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Cost is with KOA discount card. Stayed several days while visiting relatives. Convenient to Lubbock loop. Sites were relatively long and composed of gravel and hard packed dirt. There was no grass in the campground due to a continuing drought and this park could get pretty muddy if it rained much. Some new electrical stanchions had been installed, but there were a number of sites with outdated electrical connections (in my opinion). In fact, the 20 amp outside outlet at my hookup tested as having an open ground; 30 amp tested ok. This park is located just off US 84, but we didn't really notice the road noise. About 20-25 percent of the park was occupied by long term campers. Very little shade in the park again in part due to the drought. As someone else stated, this park needs some TLC! We would probably stay here again only because it was convenient to the area we were visiting. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park. Clean restrooms/showers. Easy to find. Well maintained. Would stay here again for sure. Saw a scorpion while setting up so watch out for that! lol We camped here in a Tent.

Park OK for a few days, needs some TLC. It rained while we were there, so we had mud instead of dust. Could use gravel throughout. Power, water, and cell (AT&T) were good. We would look elsewhere. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a decent campground, but I'm hard pressed to give it more than a slightly above average rating. The sites are gravel and dusty (as is all of Lubbock). but I didn't find them more than average in length. Furthermore, the utility connections were at the far back end of the site so there was no way to hookup and still keep the car behind us. Proximity to a busy railroad track will ensure your kids get to watch (and hear) the trains go by. We couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work well. Our Verizon card worked OK, but the connection speeds were relatively slow. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice KOA Park just west of Lubbock on Rt. 27. The sites are good size for big rigs. They are gravel. The pool and spa are indoors. The pool was nicely cool for the record hot Texas weather. The store is nicely stocked and the staff very friendly. It's too bad KOA's are overpriced for what you get. Nothing different from more inexpensive parks. We would stay here again if we were in Lubbock. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The rate includes the 10% KOA membership discount. This park was very well kept and well run. My only complaint was the fact that the site was very short and there was no cable TV. For almost 40 bucks cable should be included but the manager said cable didn't reach their facility yet. (Hmmm, I highly doubted that answer.) Anyway, the bathroom and showers were spotless. The Wi-Fi worked just fine. They have a very nice covered / indoor pool facility but it closed at 8:00pm so we didn't get a chance to try it out. The park is located on the north side about 2 miles north of the 289 loop so there are no restaurants near it. It was convenient to Texas Tech. We would stay here again if we were passing through Lubbock. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a great stopover as we move down the road. The sites are large enough for our 40 foot 5ver fit and they were perfect because we didn't have to disconnect. The office help was very nice and helpful. The dog walk was a little messy because a few irresponsible pet owners weren't as smart as their pets. There were not many TV channels which in our case wasn't important. I would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way west to visit the kids going to Tech. It served the purpose very well for what we used. The sites would be better if they were wider but we made it fine with our 34 ft fifth wheel and crew cab truck. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The park was very well maintained and spots were long and wide. They just changed to KOA and honored our Passport America price. They have many good plans in the works. Easy access from the highway We camped here in a Motorhome.

Met expectations for KOA standards. Two complaints: 1-- when we asked staff for recommendation of place to eat that is a local favorite he suggested two chains Applebees and Cheddars. We googled our own place and enjoyed a great Texas BBQ meal. 2-- The sidewalk and road by the bathroom floods very easily when it rains. While I understand they cannot control the weather, they can hire a contractor to repair the grade for better drainage. Using the toilet resulted in very wet feet, it is a good thing it was summer and we had on flip flops. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

This is the third time we have stayed at this campground. It's located very close to the college. Has friendly staff, clean restrooms and decent sites. Will stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Another one of KOA's burned out parks. Electric needs to be upgraded as the site we were assigned didn't have a workable ground (hubby is an electrician). Pool closes at 8pm and is always full of kids. There really needs to be adult time for us who don't travel with kids. If I come back through this area, I'd definitely try to find something better. They also need to trim the hedges at the entrance so you don't over shoot the driveway. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There is fairly easy access from US-84. Desk staff is friendly but maybe a little harried. It has a good store. We were given a marked map to our level pull-through site. No problems with water, electric voltage, or sewer. Free WiFi. Kids enjoyed the nice pool. There is a decent mowed dog walk area. There are multiple permanent residents.We didn’t appreciate the cigarette butts found on our site upon arrival. There is a rather dry, dusty, tired feeling to this park. It is OK for over night.It seemed safe, and was quiet except for the very evident road noise. We might stay again but would check around for something nicer if we return to the area. The rate includes our KOA discount, 2 kids, 2 pets. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Poor standard for KOA with very narrow sites. We wouldn't feel comfortable sitting out having a bar-b-que. It looked 'scruffy'. Everything worked fine, OK for an overnight, but we wouldn't have wished to stay a week. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

One of the nicer KOA's we've stopped at while traveling. The one detractor is that it is right next to US 84. Other than that, it's very well maintained, the staff is pleasant, and there are many trees - the place is full of them. There's an indoor heated pool and hot tub, and free wireless. This is an older campground. The sites are well kept and tidy. There is little grass but the heat in this area can be attributed. The woman at the registration desk was very polite and helpful. The laundry room was clean and there were enough machines for two people to use it at the same time. The Wi-Fi works great! We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Woman's showers were in poor repair. One stall was heavily molded and one was stopped up and overflowing. That left only one usable shower. A male maintenance worker entered the restroom while my wife was showering and asked if the shower stall she was in was working OK. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

Pretty nice park located on the outskirts of Lubbock. The train tracks are across the road, but the train does not blow its horn, so all you feel is a little vibration when the locomotive passes. There are a few monthly people here, but the owners seem to keep a tight appearance code, and each monthly rig looks like it could pull out of the park tomorrow. The indoor pool and hot tub are clean and the showers are very well kept. Internet works very well, and is fast and free. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Glad to find this place for an overnight. Older infrastructure. Had to work to get our rig to fit and hook up the 50 Amp power. Staff helpful and we have one of just a few pull throughs. Tight, small roads, but nothing that we can't handle. Lots of long term and the train track is just across the road. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I give this Park a 3 as this is the noisiest park i have ever been in. The power is out about every other day. The owner is rude, as we asked about the swimming pool that they rent out to the City of lubbock. The park guests get to use it between 7PM & 8pm. The rest of the time is for the town use. The park is clean, but good luck on sleeping, for the freeway sounds like it is coming thru the park at all times, not to mention the Railroad Right across the street. I guess it is better than a walmart parking. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

As mentioned earlier this is an older park, they seem to work hard at keeping up the place. Theres some rough terrain behind the park, and if in a big rig tell them early, some of the sites seem hard to navigate (I drive an MCI conversion). Lots of Tech Students and visiting parents, we had a nice quiet stay. We were crossing the country and laid over for a few days. If you enjoy the old drive in movies there's a triple screen right next door, get your popcorn ready! We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are permanent residents here. When we were there, a resident had mean pit bulls on leashes, were very aggressive toward other animals and people walking. It is not a very well kept park, we would not recommend it and will not stay there again. I will start asking if there are permanent residents when making reservations this year. The pull through sites were narrow and the connecting roadways were narrow. A big rig wouldn't be able to negoiate the turns. A huge amount of permanent people: a lot of the trailers were very run down. The brush and junk along the north side of the campground was very unsitely. An old campground and it shows its age. Also the railroad within 100 yds and the highway within 50-60 yards were very noisy. My advise? Avoid this place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Like most KOA's, the railroad and highway are in view and close by. Older park. Good store, nice people. Sites are too small and the park shows years of use. Lot's of full time guests (some not so attractive!). Nice indoor pool, typical KOA cabins and some playground equipment. Fairly easy to get to. It's almost at the bottom of my list of places to stay in Lubbock - just above the WalMart parking lot. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

OK, all the reviews that say noise isn't a problem must be really hard sleepers or have super sound insulation in their rigs. Southwest and American Airlines blasts off at the crack of dawn every day, every 40 minutes or so til 9 a.m. Then in the afternoon it starts all over until 8 p.m. But that's not near as exciting as the life flight helicopter coming over so low at 2 a.m. that I began to wonder if the air conditioner was still on the roof. Oh but before that you get the 1:30 a.m. freight train rumbling by. Of course on Saturday night you get to listen to the melodic thumping of the latest dance hits from the club just to the south of the park. What a party that was last night! Other than that all the reviews are right on. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Decent campground with plenty of shade and concrete pads. Not much is close by as far as stores or food; it sits north of Lubbock by the airport. There seems to be a good amount of full timers or long term campers at this park and it was pretty close to full. Only issue I had was the roads are kind of narrow. When I got up on the morning of my departure, the road was effectively blocked by one guy in a fifth wheel who didn't un-hitch and a full timer who parked a car on the other side of the road. Since they left a space of about 10 feet, I had to back up and do some maneuvering to get out of there. If I was in a bigger vehicle I would have been stuck until one of those people moved. The owners are very friendly. I am undecided if I would stay there again, mainly do to the maneuvering in tight spaces. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were scheduled for one night but a storm with strong winds blew in overnight and they were able to accommodate us for a second night. The spaces were nice and easy to pull through without difficulty. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one night on our way home from Colorado. It is right on the access road near exit 9 for I-27. I called about two hours before our arrival (which would be after the office closed) and the owner/manager said to pick up our packet and we could settle up in the morning...very nice. There are quite a few nice trees and each site is level with a concrete pad. Restrooms and showers are in individual rooms and are private and spacious. There are lots of seasonal or full timers here, and some of them are a little junky looking; otherwise, I would give this park a 10. I would definitely stay here again on my way to or from Colorado. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Reserved a "premium" site. Site was littered with cigarette butts and dead grass. The rules state to pick up after your pets but there was dog mess throughout the park. The biggest complaint was the abundance of cigarette butts littered throughout every site I walked through. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Older, well worn RV park. Sites were level and easy to access. Lots of permanent residents here which gave it a "seedy" look, however many trees and lots of shade. We would probably stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We've stayed here twice. This time for over a week. The park is an easy on/off I-27. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the sites are large and paved. The heated outdoor pool was just opened for the season and is very nice. The laundry had well-working machines and is located in the very large rec hall. The rec hall has a large library and an exercise room. The field behind the park (full of prairie dogs and rabbits) was our Border Collie's delight. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is right beside I-27, but we noticed no noise at all. Site #74 was easy to get into and out of. The park has a storm shelter behind the office, very important in Tornado Alley. Propane is available at the park, and is pet friendly. Very nice park for either an overnight or a longer stay. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park was somewhat trashy, particularly with those who seemed to be long term. The work out area was closed off. The clubhouse, showers and bathrooms were hot as though the owners were trying to save some money on air conditioning. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice clean park with a friendly staff. Is located near the airport however we did not notice any issues with noise during our stay. It is a older park but is well maintained and kept up. Rate reflects weekly rate for 50 amp full-hookup "big rig" site. We called ahead and made a reservation via telephone several days before our arrival. Some slabs are cracked, some patched with asphalt. Utilities were a bit far from normal location, required a sewer extension. Good power and water. Though we were told the site was good for satellite reception it we did find interference when the wind blew the tree branches around. We tried the free 4 hour coupon for the pay Tengonet WI-FI and found it unusable due to weak and intermittent signal ...typical for Tengonet in our experience. The pool was open and in very good condition. We will stay here again when we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great for an overnight stop and the shade trees did not interfere with any slideouts. It was quiet at night and they provided free reverse osmosis filtered water. Nice treat after poor water in many RV parks. The only downside was that the pool was not open and it looks like it hasn't been open for a long time. It was hot while we were here and one of the reasons we chose the park was the pool. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Older park but well kept. Has friendly staff. Directly across from the Lubbock airport, however, noise was not an issue at all (surprise to us). Nice long pull throughs were available. This is a nice park with level sites. One of the few times we have pulled in, unhooked and did not have to adjust leveling any direction. How awesome is that! The gentleman in the office was very friendly and helpful. Across freeway from airport, but the noise was negligible. Rate includes Good Sam discount. Would camp here again. We stayed here as an overnight stop on our way south. This is an older but immaculate park. The sites are wide and long. We were far away from the freeway, the front of the park is somewhat close and would get road noise but that area appeared filled with permanent residents. We heard no road noise. The airport is close but we have heard two planes since our arrival mid-afternoon. The interior roads are wide and graveled. The sites have a concrete RV pad, grass strips separate the sites, and many, many trees are around the park but are trimmed above or away from the top of RVs. Super office staff was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an older park, but it is clean, meaning there is no trash all over the place. It is relatively junky because there seem to be a lot of monthly rentals. Our air conditioner drowned out most of the sounds of the airplanes. We were just passing through and for an overnight place I think it is fine. With our kids we wouldn't plan on staying there for long. There just didn't seem to be enough for them to do. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Two of my favorite RV park items: Large trees to park under and concrete pad. The park is older as mentioned by other reviewers, and therefore large trees. Lots of full timers, that did not bother us. Overall, we were there in transit for one night and it was comfortable. Would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Their website is deceptive, showing a lovely park with a pool and pleasant surroundings. In reality, the pool was not operational and looked like it had not been open in years. The highway is 20 feet from the entrance and the Lubbock International Airport is across the street. There is a diesel irrigation pump that rumbles on and off all night in the field next to the park and a fencing supply yard on the other side of it. It is very noisy. The Wi-Fi didn't work. The parking spots are very tight and there are broken down piles of debris all over the property. It is a disgusting place that misrepresents itself. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a well kept park with roomy sites, and mature shade trees. The staff is friendly and helpful. When I checked out I found I was missing one of the pins in my hitch system, and checked to see if they had one in the park store. They didn't have what I needed, but the person on duty made me a temporary one so I could get on the road. The clubhouse is nice, and features a TV lounge and small library. You can use one of several individual full rest rooms with its own shower etc- much nicer than many parks with less privacy. The park has a swimming pool and basketball court. Only negative, the Wi-Fi is sometimes slow. The propane was less expensive than other places in town that I was aware of. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rate above is at weekly rate of $124.00. There are long pull through sites toward rear of park with wide concrete slabs. There is decent grass between sites, but plenty of sand burrs for the pets to find! We heard more train noise from the rear of the park than airport noise from the front, but not too bad. Site 79 has oddly placed sewer connection behind water and electric, but with a sewer extension we easily reached around the other utilities to connect. TengoNet WI-FI (normally pay WI-FI) was open for our entire stay. We spent a pleasant week, and would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pleasant park, taking into account that it is EZ-on-off I-27 and across the highway from an international airport, so noise can be an issue. Sites are level, park is clean. Common building is button-locked to keep out the uninvited. Four huge individual unisex bathrooms, each with private shower big enough for three. (No soap for toilet users, though... ew.) Workout room with modern equipment. Laundry room bright, clean, and economically priced. Game/meeting/TV room with board games and puzzles, huge library. No cable, but great analog & digital broadcast reception. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only annoyance: permanent residents with 2, 3, even 4 vehicles and nowhere to park them except encroaching on the roadways and other people's sites. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is just ok. The airport across the road is very loud with jets taking off. The monthly residents here get away with having a lot of junk strewn around their site, which was not visually appealing. The restrooms did not have soap provided, which is very unsanitary. There is nothing really wrong with this park. The bathrooms are clean. Staff friendly. Free WI-FI for 4 hours. No cable TV but a good number of channels anyway. I do not usually care to camp where there are permanent residence,and that is the only reason not a higher rating. The site was concrete and level. OK for an overnight stay. We were near the front of the campground but did not really experience a lot of noise from airport or trains. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Big pull thru sites, few small trees, good southern exposure. Field behind the park is a great place for dogs to run...there is a prairie dog community there and the dogs love the try to catch them (won't ever happen, they never get that far from their holes.) Manager and staff are very helpful and friendly. Most overnighters go to the back of the park..very little noise, last plane takes off about 9:30. (park is right across interstate from airport) We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Decent enough place with easy access to I-27. Although the park is directly in front of the interstate and across the interstate from the airport, we didn't find it noisy at all. The daily RVers were parked in the back, away from the noise. There are a number of "permanents" here, but the place is well kept and doesn't quite exude that "cheesy trailer park" atmosphere. WIFI is pay ($4/day) but it works well and that's more than I can say for a lot of the free wifi parks around. Management here is extremely friendly, the w/d's are only 75 cents and we're glad we stayed here. Price reflects a Good Sam discount and includes tax. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were given a pull-thru spot in the very back where we could get a satellite signal. The site was semi-level. They have wi-fi but the owner/manager stated it was $5.00 per day and it wasn't worth it. It could take 5 minutes to download a page. The front part of the park is full of permanent residences (RV's) some of which are definitely showing their age. The campground is easy on/easy off of I-27. We would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I came here after leaving another unsuitable campground. I received pleasant service. This campground has huge shade trees. There are no mobile homes, but there are permanent campers. Some have older RVs. It is across the interstate from I-27, so you do hear jets. Fortunately, Lubbock International is not that busy of an airport. There is some highway noise as well, but its not too bad. The pool was not appealing. I had to use the washing machine and had to clean the dog hair off first. I was given a back in spot, which was very tight. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
