We repeated a trip to Nana's this past May. The owners continue to provide updates to the park, and have become friends during our stays. We had a group of friends join us this year (four other units), and all had a great time at the river and going to the Garner Dance at night. Everyone with us booked another trip before departure. Repeat business is the best compliment. The bathrooms remain very clean, as do the grounds. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was our fourth trip to Nana's, twice in the summer of '09 and twice in the summer of '10. It's a new park (2009), and the owners continue to make noticeable improvements each time we visit. The sites are all fairly level, and when not, we have always been able to level with one board. The restrooms are impeccably clean and the owners remain on-site and make a visible presence. It's a hike down to the river, (all of 2 to 4 minutes), but the trail is asphalted with handrails, and the owner has a 'mule' and will haul your stuff down when he's available. Per our kids..."Who needs a pool when you have the Frio River!!!" They easily entertain themselves for hours on end with the rope swings, minnow catching, critter finding, etc. And sitting in the Frio for us older 'kids' is enjoyment enough. Garner State Park is a short five minute drive away (or the kids walk across the dam), and the nightly dances during the summer are a must for any age. When pulling out, we always book our next stay, as the park is becoming ever more full during each of our visits. It's rapidly being discovered by others. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
