A Bay Breeze RV Park is very secluded and surrounded by the natural beauty of live oak trees, wildlife and bird sanctuaries. They offer amenities such as a heated saltwater pool, laundromat, exercise room, dry sauna, clean restrooms with showers and a manager on site. RV sites are not crowded and are clean. Located between Rockport and Aransas Pass, A Bay Breeze RV Park is in an ideal location so that guests are close enough to enjoy what the Texas Gulf Coast has to offer but far enough away to allow them to relax. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good park. Wi-Fi speed was good. Has lots of cable TV channels. Beautiful area with lots to see, or just to relax. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a wonderful park. Staff was very efficient and cheerful. We were shown sites available for our choice and led down to the site we chose. Large concrete sites available for a higher fee. Pool was clean, as was hot tub. We were only about 2 miles from a beautiful beach, and lots of fishing places. All shopping was within 5 minute drive. We would love to stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Easy access to the park. Check in was easy and they drove you to pick your spot. All grass sites with some trees. Water pressure was good. We could use our Verizon phone and Dish . We were in the older portion of the park. They do have newer sites with cement pads. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow! I cannot support other higher ratings from other reviewers. We were assigned to one of the truly "Ancient" sites, sewer on one side, power and water on the other. After getting relocated to a site with hookups all on one side, all we had to deal with was long power and TV extension cords, sand (no grass) all around the rig, and raucous birds in the "Ancient Oaks" around us. We will not be returning this truly ancient, ex-KOA campground. By the way, the cable TV was not HS and frequently was noisy. And the Wi-Fi really did work, about 25% of the time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I gave this CG a "10" and it certainly deserves a high rating. The staff was excellent, though this CG is very busy this time of year. An oasis for warmer temperatures, we left Louisiana with 23° temperatures to here at 50-60°. If I were looking for things to complain about, the entrance is not a large one and if over anxious campers want to block it, they can and do. The only problem we had was with the clientele, some of whom were very rude. The staff did an excellent job of dealing with them. This park has a calendar of things to do, something going on every day including Sunday with a non-denominational church service. The internet worked well, the Cable TV has an ample supply of stations. I would camp here again. 99% of the other campers were very friendly. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rate is based on weekly rate of 180.00. A wide variety of sites in this park from lots of trees to no trees, large and small. They are good about showing you the sites and letting you pick the site you like if it is avail. They have a nice doggie park where you can sit and let your dogs run and play ( all fenced ). They have good cable tv but pay wireless internet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice RV park but management needs a little education on how to work with the RVers. That's the only reason I didn't give it a higher rating. Some friends stayed here with us and decided they liked it enough to stay an extra week. They checked with the office to see about an extension of time and, after personnel there hemmed and hawed around for about 20 minutes, they finally told our friends to check back in an hour. Well, during that hour, they found another RV park so moved on. We heard several other campers complain about management, too. That said, they have installed new sites (level, concrete pads) but with no shade. The older sites are not paved but are level and shady. Very nice. Some are longer than others so be sure to indicate the length of rv you have when you reserve your spot. Interior roads a bit narrow but the big Class A’s didn’t appear to have any trouble navigating them. Bathrooms and laundry very clean. Didn’t use the heated pool or hot tub but, although the pool looked a bit on the small side, it was clean. There is an exercise room but the lights didn’t work and there were no instructions on how to use the equipment. Had we gone to an exercise class that was offered, though, we might have learned how to use it. Potluck dinners once a week; crafts, bingo, and other activities. The TV service was good and the high speed Wi-Fi worked well for us. Our dog really appreciated the large dog run. Lots of squirrels to keep you amused and the broad-tailed grackles (or whatever) will provide you with never-ending squawks, whistles, chirps and various other delightful sounds. If you’re parked under a tree, they’ll also give you reason to wash your RV! Even with the management problems, we would stay here again and would recommend it to friends. We spent 4 nights here. We did not check out modem hookups or telephone hookup but did check everything else including their club house which is an older house complete with kitchen, restrooms, game room, etc. This is an older park but well kept and we enjoyed out stay. The TV service was good and the high speed Wi-Fi worked well for us. The restroom is recently remodeled, all tile, clean and outer doors has a coded lock. Laundry room was well equipped with 12 washers and dryers that all worked. Pool and hot tub looked nice but we didn't use them. One major improvement would be paving of individual pads. Interior roads are paved and newest sites being built have concrete pads. This is the last park in Rockport, on the left. The only store we saw in walking distance was a Dollar Store. The staff we interacted with were all friendly. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The web site registration did not work. I left 3 messages via telephone and none were returned by the staff, this should have told me something. Overall the park was fine, with a new dog run, pool, etc. I stayed 2 months, and paid electric bills that were 50% to 80% higher than I've ever had before. The management's response was pay up or leave. During the 2 month stay 6 other campers and I finally choose to leave, which hard to do in south Texas in Jan. and Feb. Some campsites had older electric meters, but mine was the new and improved model. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park. Staff were friendly and helpful. The park is clean and well maintained. It's location is ideal because it is only 3 blocks to the water and downtown. The sites are roomy and the trees provide nice shade at many of the sites. The only complaint we had is that the sites are definitely set up better for bigger rigs with the water, electric and cable on one end and the sewer pretty far away on the other. We really had to maneuver about and stretch things to get a full hook-up. The pool is on the small side and closes at 10 p.m. It would be nice if there was no closing time or a much later time so we could have adults-only time in the pool and hot tub area. All in all a really nice place to spend time in Rockport and we will definitely be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The staff was very friendly, they assisted us to our site. The campground is very clean and offered us everything that we look for at a campground. They had a very nice Rec Hall that offered a variety of activities. We talked to and made friends with several other campers, which were also very happy with this park. We, as well as many others, plan on returning and possibly making this one of our winter homes. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

When we arrived I went straight where I should have turned to the left. I stopped because I wasn't sure where our spot was and the office was closed, as we got in around 7:00 PM. Two men in a golf cart arrived shortly after that and told me to follow them, but to look out for the low branch over the road. I looked back and found the top of my travel trailer less than a foot from the branch. I worked my way around it and followed the golf cart to the spot. I was going to have to make a U turn on the property to get to my pull through site, but first stopped at our spot to drop off the wife and kids, who had to go to the bathroom. While off loading them the golf cart went down to the end of the road and waited for me. I noticed an older man walk towards the golf cart and the driver of the cart and older man began to argue. The driver of the golf cart came flying out of the cart and confronted the older man, who ended up being slapped in the face and then grabbed by the head. The two men disappeared and a few minutes later the older man returned driving the cart, got me turned around, and into my spot. The campsites seem bunched together and the roads are tight to say the least. The electricity and water is between two sites so one trailer is on the hookup side and the other has to hookup by dragging under the trailer to the off side. In my brother in laws case, who was next to us, he had to plug in his electricity in the front of his camper. Thankfully he had an extension cord. The sewer hook up was slightly below ground level and covered by a split rubber plug and rock. About 2 AM on Sunday morning the wife woke me up saying the AC had turned off. I checked the breakers in the trailer and then at the post, both were fine. Then I noticed the burnt smell, the plug had shorted. Nothing like a trip to Wal-Mart at 2:30 AM for a 30 amp extension cord. We were able to hook up to a vacant site with the extension cord. On the way back from Wal-Mart I noticed something new on the marquis out front, "CAMP WORKER NEEDED". Guess the younger guy from the fight was fired. We were glad to see checkout time come around on Sunday. As we were leaving the wife went in and voiced our displeasure with the campground. We won't stay there again. The older man involved in the fight earlier did come to our campsite on Friday evening and apologized for the altercation we had witnessed. There are several permanent/semi permanent setups, some trailers and some mobile homes. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

New owners (friendly) took over in fall of 2004. Owners are making many improvements. A very nice family atmosphere . I would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The park was a Passport America participant. Upon registering were were taken to our campsite and set up. the park is a mixture of seasonal and non-seasonal campers. The site was large enough to put out our slide and awning and had full service. The amenities were plentiful. The pool was a real treat as our daughter and her boyfriend were in a tent and had to cool off by going swimming. The washroom and laundry was clean and a good size. It appeared as though the owners were selling the park. It did need some TLC but we figured this was due to the selling of the park. We really enjoyed the time we spent at this park and recommend it to anyone who is planning on visiting the Texas Gulf Coast in this area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I wanted to do an edit of my previous review but they don't have that option on this site. I have now been here for seven weeks and went ahead and changed the rating to a 10 because even without the laundry - it's a 10! We can ride bikes all over because we are so close to everything. There is a park less than a mile away. Downtown is less than a mile. The fishing is less than a mile. You can ride your bike to Wal-Mart, Post Office, HEB, Burger King, The Diner (restaurant), JJ's (an even better restaurant) and many other places. The laundry is less than two miles away and has plenty of washers and dryers. The owners have two great children and are the best hosts. The monthly rate is $175 and that is what I based the nightly fee on. Electric is $0.14 KWH. But, if you want to come here now, you're out of luck. All nine spots are filled. Would highly recommend this place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an extremely small campground. It is family owned and they live on premises. Very quiet and very friendly. Close to everything in town. The only reason I am giving this a 9 is because there is no laundry. There's also no community room or pool, but I don't need those things any way. We are staying until March 2011 and think we will really like it here. Weekly rate is $125 (plus electric), monthly rate is $175 (plus electric). We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here using our Western Horizons membership. No internet available at park, Verizon cell phone coverage does not work, Verizon mifi was very weak. Massive amounts of mosquitoes in the unkept grasses throughout park. There is a stagnant lagoon (complete with alligator and a warning not to go near it) that is probably the reason for the mosquitoes. We left 5 days early and was told that campground does not give refunds for any reason. We recommend paying daily for your stay here since it is likely you will want to leave early. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We chose this park because of the oak trees and large sites. Most of the roads WERE blacktop but are now mostly gravel. Dusty w/no rain and sloppy when it rains. The original owner received it back from bankruptcy and is trying to make long needed repairs. Wi-Fi is only to about half the park. There are limited activities. The rate is for Passport America $17.50/night. Given it's shortcomings we will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a Western Horizon when we first started coming. It is only an affiliate now, so we can not do better than a regular monthly rate. They have a different monthly rate for many sites, usually depending if they have a slab or a view. The new owner has done a lot, but there is really a LOT still to do. Most of the workers are workcampers. Looks like they never finish a project. We were here last year ,and the carpet squares in the clubhouse are still not down. They have painted about 95% of what needs painting. I understand funds are not available for some of the work that needs to be done and that is suprising because there seemed like more RVs staying than before. We come here because of the large, wooded sites and for the activities. There are games almost every night. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here with our ACN membership for two weeks. The main pool and spa were empty, under construction. The other pool should be empty because it isn't attractive at all. The roads are not well maintained. We heard this park is recovering from a bankruptcy. It needs a huge revamping. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Mediocre park, could be nice with with additional maintenance. Older park that has been allowed to deteriorate. Gravel roads (some used to be paved), upper area dominated by permanents, Some sites were large, mostly back in, some not well delineated. Sites varied greatly. Ours was level, grassy. Restrooms and laundry facilities very clean. Some park activities. Rate reflective of our Coast-to-Coast membership. About ten minutes from town. No cell phone or Wi-Fi reception for us (Sprint service) anywhere in park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

As many have mentioned, the park is in SERIOUS need of repair. The front office personnel are nice, but not exactly what I would call friendly or accommodating. We have been here almost a week now, and the restrooms/showers have yet to be cleaned at all. It appears they haven't been cleaned in about a year. The roads are pitiful, and the layout is squirrely to say the least. Not on my list of return spots for sure. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here under RPI at $10/night and decide to leave early because even at that rate this place is overpriced. Roads are very badly rutted dirt, site was a back-in on grass, fairly level, and power was good. Lots of ants everywhere, the bathrooms were dirty, and the wifi didn't work. Our Verizon cell phone and air card would not work at all. At 8 a.m. every morning a pile driver from a nearby construction site woke us up.This park need a lot of work and the previous owners really let it get run down. I'm not sure the current management is up to the task. We camped here in a Motorhome.

First of all, if you have Verizon, stay clear as there is no Verizon connection at Bay View. No phone or internet for two days. Restrooms and showers were old and needed updating. Showers were the bare minimum, and since I am on oxygen 24/7 I had a rough time taking a shower. We stayed in the old section and wished we had had 4 wheel drive on some of the "trails." They advertise Wi-Fi which is non-existent. It wasn't strong enough to make a connection. We didn't care for Bay View and will not be returning. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My family and I stayed at Bay View during the 4th of July weekend and had a blast. It has a great location as the first site just across the Copano Bay Bridge, so we thought it would be a good jumping off point for any activity in the area (fishing, beach, etc.). The camp itself is huge and shaded as well, so we definitely had space and could even stay relatively cool during the Texas summer. The best part of the park was probably the staff. They were extremely helpful and really promoted community and fun. That weekend management put on events such as a watermelon eating contest and hamburger cookout. They also arranged for transportation to and from the beach at no cost for people that wanted some saltwater. The park is definitely family friendly, and my kids really enjoyed the slip 'n slide set up by the maintenance guys. The park is under new ownership and trying to improve many aspects of the park, and management was very clear and honest about this. Seems like they're doing a good job, and my family and I will be back to check it out next time we are down in Rockport for vacation. My kids definitely want to return since the manager told me they are about to add a spray park to one of the pools. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We came down here first in 2008 and are glad we have found our way back. The grounds and buildings are being renovated and cleaned up after neglect by a previous owner. Glad to see that happen since this is one of the more beautiful settings we have ever been in. Sites are exceptionally large, staff are friendly and helpful. The town of Rockport may become my home and Bay View is definitely where I could see myself living. They offer long term lease options for a reasonable monthly rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Two pools, two jacuzzi and two clubhouses are listed. One pool hasn't been operational for over 6 months. The other pool is green with bacteria but they claim it "tests OK". The Wi-Fi is weak and doesn't work most of the time. Of the two laundry facilities, one does not have hot water. There are three public restrooms of which two are currently working. The third one has had the toilets plugged with fecal matter and toilet paper for many days. It appears no effort has been made to remedy the problem. The roads are potholed and unpaved for the most part. The lakes inside the park are unusable since there are alligators in them. The owners are aware of the problems but seem to have no solution. They are "waiting for money" to fix the facility. The long term residents are departing in droves since the facility has only continued to go down hill for the last year with only promises that it will get better. Yet with all these problems, they've raised the rent at least once and are going to raise it again soon. Good luck if you come here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Many of the RPI campgrounds are proving to be poor and Bay View is no exception. From the front gate, through the check in parking area, and out into the campground the roads are in terrible shape, very rough. The limited patching which has been done in not doing the job. If you are not self contained you take your chances with where you plant your bottom. The Adult Spa was closed, the pool desperately needed cleaning, the Family Lodge pool was totally closed, the lodge roof patched with blue poly. The docks are literally falling apart. Staff was friendly enough but did not follow through with complaints. Pets are supposed to be on leads but chronic abusers were not contacted. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Needs tons of work, has two pools ones open and in bad shape, other one is shut down. Sewer backs up and smells really bad, has two launders one is shut down. Needs lots of landscape and cosmetic work. The two biggest problems is the roads are real bad so make sure you have everything tied down and very muddy with the slightest rain so don't pay your $250.00 for a wash job as I did. The worst problem of all is the attitude of the managers they are very rude and foul mouthed and need to clean up themselves and tend to forget when you try to tell them about problems and then walk off mumbling but again if you are outside and the employees are close by working every other word is a cuss word that may not bother some but its not very business like. I can't recommend this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has so much potential. It needs a lot of work, the roads are filled with pot holes. Some of the sites need graded to make a little more level, grass needs mowed, docks need new boards and paint, and the pools need new plaster. BUT it has a new owner and maybe he will put some money in to it. The staff is very friendly and are trying to keep it going while new help gets hired. This is an old Western Horizon park, hence the $4 per night. We were here during Hurricane Alex: had lots of standing water, but it disappeared quickly. We stayed here in a 40 footer on the lake. Had a nice view, lots of waterfowl. We will come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate is for Coast to Coast + $2. for cable. 50 amp is an extra $3. a night. The roads are horrible, as well as the sites. They are just packed sand/dirt. It rain while we were there and it was a mess. There is a lot of shade and 2 small nice lakes, but with out many fish. All the people that did fish came away with nothing. This is a Western Horizon park but where told by some of the members it was sold and no longer W.H.. Don't know, we missed that meeting. The staff was friendly. A good place to walk the dogs. This could be a very nice park as many of the sites are large. It needs a lot of work. We will not return unless we see here better reviews and things are improved. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

ROD rate of $3/night for 50 amp. First and last time here. Reservation was for 2 weeks but cut it down to 1 week. Roads are still terrible with ruts and potholes everywhere. Gate staff were very pleasant but indifferent about the condition of the park. Pickleball court is derelict and has been for some time. Olympic size pool is closed for serious maintenance. Smaller pool is open but hot tub is not operational. We got a nice open site with double width cement pad. No picnic table though. Lots of standing water and mosquitoes everywhere. Considered joining WHR a few back in Casa Grande but glad we didn't now. Haven't seen any maintenance staff anywhere. Good base for bird photography. We were out birding most days, so amenities were not something we needed. Definitely not a "Resort", but then it seems neither are many places that use the word. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The site we were assigned was level, the sewer is too far back which caused us to use extra hose but that happens in other parks too. We have to agree the roads are bad especially when it rains. The family clubhouse smells of mold and is not very appealing. On a positive note, it was a safe place to spend a week while we traveled to the valley. We have seen this park in better shape. As ROD members we paid nothing for the site which means alot for full-time RV'ers. If you want 50 amp, cable TV or WiFi, they all cost extra. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

ROD rate. This is a nice park, but the roads are very badly potholed. Our site was gravel with a paved patio. Coming from the north, the park sign was covered by a canvas sign saying public camping, or something to that effect. It caused us to drive past and we had to find a place to turn around. The interior roads have not improved and doesn't appear to be on there list of things to do. The sites need rearranging and leveled. The laundry facilities are nice but too small for a park this size. The staff was friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has faults, but the rating of 1 is sort of extreme, IMO. On the positive side; when we had a power problem of our own making, they responded immediately. We are here on a club membership and they readily let us stay an extra day at club rates. The roads are very rutted. This seriously needs addressed. As far as mud, it has been raining for two weeks, so water has pooled. The sites near us were level. There are two clubhouses and two pools- one of each for adults only. Many sites are long-term holders and few people were resident due to poor weather. The park is too big to accommodate Wi-Fi successfully, but they shouldn't charge $2 for sitting in the clubhouse. Cliquishness isn't something the park can control. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used Coast To Coast membership. Were here four years ago and were not impressed then. This visit we were disgusted. The roads are full of holes and steep ridges. The sewer connection required me to buy an extra 20 feet of hose it was so far out of place. The site was small, rough ground. All in all a poor park, and we will never stop there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The park roads are in horrible shape, potholes and bumpy. We stayed here using our ROD membership and were charged a $5 a night service charge, which isn't advertised. The park is old and getting run down. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This place has great potential but is falling apart. Roads are a disaster after 2 days of rain - potholes and mud everywhere. Your coach and car gets covered in mud, which the campground will let you wash off yourself if you pay them $8 per day. On the 13th of March Western Horizon has introduced a new scheme that will have you part with at least $5 per day in surcharges. EACH ONE of about 8 items will cost you $4 PER DAY, itmes like f.x. cable, wi-fi, 50 amp, having a pet or extra person in your coach. They will be nice to you and sell you all items for the $5 per day, but they will charge you even before they find out if you want/need any of these services. We don't like this way of extracting money out of people for things that today should be included in your campground fee. Unfortunately there was no friendly staff to make up for the parks shortcomings. There are so many other campgrounds in Rockport so there is no reason to come here again - even if we can use our campground membership. Two newly installed oil rigs are in operation within the campground which does not add to the architecture. Treat youself - go somewhere else. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Drove in. Drove out. Luckily we were in the car, not the motorhome. Road has so many potholes that it's almost impassable. Half the park looks like the sites are okay (not great); half the park looks like the sites are just cleared spots in the dirt with hookups. Unlevel and undefined (no gravel, no patio). Extended our stay at Pioneer instead of moving here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As stated in other posts, this park is in need of lots of tender loving care. We were happy to find a place where we could use our ROD ($0) plus $3 a day for electricity. The staff was very nice and very helpful. We were told there is an alligator in the lake, but we never saw it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

As mentioned before the campground roads have many potholes with no intention to correct. There are way too many mosquitoes. It is an older park with some open and some treed sites. The best reason to stay here is the Gulf area. We would stay here again but it is not a favorite campground. They are preparing to drill for natural gas inside campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has a lot of shady sites, fishing available in the park or on the coast nearby, and numerous activities throughout the week. The sites are well maintained and the staff was great.It is close to Rockport where every type of food and service is available. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This probably WAS a nice place LONG ago - but has been neglected. Really poor maintenance. VERY poor roads, lots of mud, sewer plugged (not a fun thing - guess how you discover that!) Won't EVER return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a membership club park. The roads in this park are still in very poor condition. The park condition is poor and needs major upgrading. Our site was one of the nicest in the park with a concrete pad to park on and a patio. We were over looked the lake. Wi-Fi worked well at this site. The restrooms we used were located in a satellite building. Although they have done some repairs on the outside which included a new roof and repairs to the siding, there was no outside lighting on or near the building as of this date, making it difficult to find or see in the dark. The parking area around the Family or Main Club House is very small and in January was a sea of mud. From our site it is a considerable walk to the main building. The Adult Center has a hot tub and heated pool. Pool needs to be refinished to make it more inviting. The bathrooms were clean, but very outdated and the showers may be clean, but the condition is very poor and not attractive.The showers in the out building was in very poor condition. Staff were friendly and helpful and seemed to make regular patrols around the park. Over-all the park is not one that we would consider the next visit to this area in spite of the price per night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pure crap. STAY AWAY. And, don't bother with a membership in this ridiculous Western Horizons rip off. Filthy, falling-apart restrooms, potholes in the roads so bad that they are almost impassable (filled in with crushed oyster shells), take-it-or-leave-it staff, and the list goes on. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This Club Park is really showing its age. The laundry rooms are in need of serious repair. One has a door that is broken and was nailed shut. The dry rot is evident throughout the building. The roads have serious potholes and haven't been repaired in the past year. We stayed here last January. Very few of the people staying here obey the speed limit. Vendors drive thru the park in excess of 20 miles per hour. Some of the spots have concrete pads, ours didn't. With heavy rain, we were wading in mud. We returned to this park due to a club membership and another location is not available in the area. However, in the future I will strongly consider a public campground. The campers staying at the facility are very friendly. I can't say much for the staff, as they only staff I saw was in the office when I check in. That interface was OK. We are fulltimers in a motor home. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Granted the buildings need some work, and one of the pools wasn't heated because the heater wasn't working. Very quiet and there were deer around in the mornings and evenings. Cell phone service was not available and due to the trees we couldn,t use our satellite. There were a lot of activities at the campground. Would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is right on the ocean with a 550 ft fishing pier, boat slips and bait house. Sites are small but got my 36' fifth wheel in fine. Very friendly staff. Good cable and free wireless internet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I spent a month here, everyone is very friendly. The sites are close together, but for being right the ocean you can't beat the price. Clean and well taken care of. Great WiFi. Near restaurants and stores. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are wooded sited in the back under the most beautiful Live oak trees you have ever seen, but it is difficult to drive a big rig through this area. The premium sites are right on the bay-no shade trees here, but each site has a covered picnic table. With a little maneuvering, any size rig can park right on the bay. It's almost like 2 parks in one. A wonderful sunset, beautiful pelicans, and plenty of room between sites. Would be a 10 if they had sewer. Very friendly staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My husband and I stayed 1-3 months a year in this park from the time it was built. This reservation will be our last. The park has recently been bought by a corporation and the name has been changed. The new owners are and more interested in absurd rules than being a user friendly park. The park rules are not kid friendly and requires a child to be 16 years old or older to be on the fishing pier or in the game room. The pad (concrete area) was supposed to accommodate a 31 ft. RV and does...we have parked in that spot many times. The new owner's hired help said we could not park there because it would over hang on the grass. These new rules are not posted on the internet or told to you when you make your reservation. If you like a park that is more rule oriented and not kid friendly, you will like this one. We have been stay here since 1988 and was called Watersedge RV. New owners took over in March 2012 and are working hard to get the park back into tiptop shape. With new management in place, they are working on customer relations, very friendly and helpful, making improvements to the parks beauty and starting soon to improve other aspects of the park. Fun is returning once again along with the parks long time customers. You do have to pay for Wi-Fi connection but they are working on better deal for this. The park does need an additional set of restroom and showers, and more parking. We enjoyed our selves and will return this winter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The rate is based on our stay for 30 days, but we paid $23 for cable TV, had to pay extra for Wi-Fi and electric is $.15/kwh. It adds up. Verizon phone service was very poor. All concrete roads and pads makes for clean camping. Lots of children here for Spring Break week. The private 500' lighted pier is great. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have used this park since 1995, sadly this will be the last year we stay here. We stay for one whole month during the summer each year, but the on site management has gotten too strict with the rules of the park. The head manager ran my daughter out of the rec. hall because the rule says that she can't be in there alone unless she was over 16yrs. All she was doing was reading a book she told the manager that she is 15 but rules are rules the mgr said. It seems that they only want full timers with no kids. I will not go back with such strict rules. I felt like a victim that couldn't say anything or we would be asked to leave early. My daughter is the one that wanted go every year since this was her summer for the past 15yrs. Shame on you miss manager for picking on kids. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Difficult to rate this experience since the weather was sooooooo bad while we were here. We were just starting out full-timing and were expecting walks along the water in our shorts and sandals: what we got was maybe 4 days out of the month that was nice weather, the rest were cold, rainy, foggy, or all of the above. Although this is not the park's fault, it did tend to amplify the negatives of the park. The main negative is that you are so darn close together in the sites. Without the help to back in, we don't think we would have made it. The roads and pads are concrete, which was nice. We might try this park again, but not for a few years. Aesthetically this is a nice park, and it has a nice pier right across the street. The owners have become very rule cuckoo. When you can't even take a water bottle into the pool fence, no t-shirts can be worn in the pool, then that is going overboard. The park host sits at the pool in the evening to watch everybody. We used to go here quite a bit, but felt like they really don't care for children or the summer crowd. We follow all the rules and don't have a problem with that, but when they become so weird about things, then we have chosen not to go back. I think they prefer winter Texans, which is fine, but we will not continue going here because we did not feel wanted there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

There seems many permanent tenants, however most everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Management is very strict. Their private fishing pier is not meant for small children. It is new, however there is not enough rails for children of any age. Take plenty of bug repellent. The only thing that we did not like at all was the space. It is very hard to park your rig. This park is mostly cement, and there is not enough room to park or pull out. The roads leading to and from the park are in need of repair. The "exit" is only open from 8-5, so therefore the "entrance" become the entrance and exit outside of those times. Also, the nearest hospital is in Aransas Pass: found this out the hard way during an emergency. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of concrete and not easy to get into the sites. The one way system and the official exit is impossible to navigate and use so the entrance also became the exit. Staff polite and restrooms clean with a combination lock system. I guess if you arrived after hours access would be restricted. This park is absolutely not pet friendly, so many signs saying don't do this with your pet and no pet run. Overall a very cold sterile park. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Park was clean but a complete parking lot with lots of cement. Not pet friendly. About only place to walk your dog was all the way across the street by the water. No beach at all, just big pieces of cement. Sites were really tight. The sites with grass seemed to be given to long term people. Few sites had a view of the water. No place to walk on the beach at all. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Way too crowded with less than 10 feet between rigs on either side. Nice clean park but, unless you want to watch your neighbor eat dinner, this is more about making money per square foot than accommodating the residents. More importantly is the Rockport - Fulton area is in a "Police State" whereby you better not have any alcohol and even ride in a vehicle. It seems that the locals make a pretty good living off of the visitors via traffic stops. One of our acquaintances was riding with someone arrested for a DWI and was taken to jail for suspicion of public intoxication and was made to stay in jail for 8 hours. The only wrong doing was that she was sitting in a car after 1 glass of wine with dinner that was stopped by a cop for things that were totally unrelated. The cops in this area are out of control and it will only be a matter of time before you are forced to contribute to the local economy via a traffic violation of some kind. Stay away from here!!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Just a non busy road between us and the Aranas Bay. Site #23 Very nice and a clear view of the bay and the 500 foot private Pier just across the street. The sites are all concrete and level. Small sites for small trailers, smaller sites for a pop up trailers and large sites for 5th wheels and motor homes. Just about the whole park is cement and nicely done. Very nice and very clean. We reserved a month for next year. We will be back. Restaurants and shopping are close by, The address is both Rockport and Fulton. If your looking for a real nice place. Check this out, you'll like it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

$2.00 per day for wireless access otherwise this could be a 10. Park is clean and sites are adequately sized. 65 cable channels are nice for rainy days. They have a 500' fishing pier and some of the sites have a nice view of the bay. Walking distance to good restaurant and short drive to others. Seemed safe and in a good area of town. A lot of winter residents here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is Passport America with additional $3 night for 50 amp. Park is well maintained and the management is very cordial. This is a retirement park with an indoor pool and a very nice hall with planned activities. The down side is this park is older with very narrow roads and short sites. It does not lend it's self to overnight stays, but mostly long term. Parking was very difficult with our 40' unit. The road to the park is narrow and bumpy for about 6/10ths of a mile. There does seem to be some recent expansion happening, with utilities in ground but no streets yet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here the winter 2008. We enjoyed the many activities including the Jam sessions and Dances weekly. The inside pool and hot tub is nice especially on cool days. The park is clean and kept up nice. The owner is friendly and out and about in the park daily. We will return next year and recommend this park to all. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed 3 nights on Passport America among the snowbirds. Park is well kept, grass mowed, etc. The owner is very visible and has a good staff. Park worked well for us and two other couples that we met for a few days to explore the area. Would stay there again if we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are spending the winter in this park and love it. The park is gated and at the end of a road so not much traffic. They have good activities and dances ever Sat. night. Rates are great. Check the web site for all activities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, fairly new park. Staff very helpful and park is well kept. The $9.00 rate was based on a monthly rate divided by 30 nights. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The manager was friendly as were most of our neighbors. The sites are about as good as it gets, with ample space and trees. If you park on the 1st turn-in, you may have to drive around the corner to exit the park. The north section of it is very sandy and there is the possibility of getting stuck, but the manager puts water on it regularly to keep it packed. The area around you is mostly wooded which is nice, but the park is not where you would have a view of the bay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Park is very nice, concrete roads and sites. Nice landscaping of sites. Utilities are right where they need to be located. Great Wi-Fi, electric and water/sewer. Activities for the snowbirds. Monthly rates are very affordable. Manager takes active interest in the facility and is very helpful. We will make this our go-to point in this area when we return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Love this park. I was lucky enough to stumble upon this even though I could never get into their web site. I took a chance, based on reviews, and came to stay here for a month and quickly changed my reservation to 3 months. This park is young and clean and a joy to drive into. The surrounding neighborhood leaves you a little concerned when arriving, but there is no problem when you get here. We ride our bikes about 15 blocks to the beach, which has been awarded the blue wave beach, daily and have not had any problems with the neighborhood. There are, however, a lot of free roaming dogs when you go out on the roads here. Stores and restaurants are very close by. Cable TV is free and offers about 60 channels; WiFi is also free, but has been very slow. Beautiful pool, only open in summer months; the hot tub, is available in the winter, when you arrange with manager. Rec center is new with 2 private baths and showers, which are maintained daily. Guests are all VERY nice and all glad to be in this park. Overall a great find. $275/month plus electric. I will definitely stay again. They do have larger sites for $350/month. Sites fill up quickly. We were only able to get a site due to a cancellation. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Unlike the previous reviews, we loved this park. It is a nice family owned/run park. Yes, they are still under construction in many areas, but all that takes is time. The swimming pool is, which was just finished, is really nice & there is also a pond w/paddle boat available that you can swim in. Fishing is catch & release. The owners threw a great 4th of July party! All the people staying there that we met were really great, it was like one big family...a summer storm came out of no where & everyone pitched in to help anyone that needed help with awnings & such. We, along with my daughter & her family will definitely stay again & again, just to watch this park grow!!!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have been staying in this park all winter. In fact, I wrote the first review. I am rating it much lower now than I initially did. Here are some of the reasons for my lowered rating. First, we were promised last November that the clubhouse would be completed no later than than the January of '08. It is still not completed. The laundry facilities and restrooms have not even started construction. They have put in the second set of 25 RV sites, and many of them are very close together, unlike the first phase. The road for the 2nd phase has not been paved and dust has become a problem. This is the owners first park and they have yet to have any rules or regulations about anything. Also the owner and the manager do not seem to communicate well. Last, the 1st and 2nd phases each have their own septic systems and neither seem to be working well. They seem to be leaking and emitting a lot of odors. Maybe they can get this fixed. We will not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed in this park from December through April. When we made our reservation, we asked for a double wide site. On our arrival we were give a single wide site and were told that when a double wide was available we would have it. Did not happen. We were told that the club house would be done by the first of the year. Not even close as of this writing. This means no outside bathrooms or laundry. The first sites are nice with trees and space in between each site. The more sites that are being built the smaller the space between sites. There is still a problem with the sewer gases escaping. Tired of smelling sewer when sitting outside. The camp host and owners do not communicate enough with each other. Too many problems arise that should not be happening that involve the guests. There are no rules as to how to keep your site. There are sites here that have two vehicles, motorcycles, golf carts, outside storage bins, refrigerators and freezers and just junk. Only the main street is concrete, the second street is still sand. There is no special place to pick up your mail, so the camp host delivers your mail to you. No rules on dogs. People do not keep dogs on leash or pick up after them. This park is not being run, it just runs! It is definitely not a resort by any stretch of the imagination. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I like this park as it has concrete pads and because it is new. It doesn't have all the amenities that I don't use most of the time anyway. I have reserved a spot for next winter, and hope the laundry will be completed by then. Several reviewers have complained about one thing or the other at this new park, but no one has mentioned the monthly rate has been adjusted to a third less than what you would be paying at other parks in Rockport. While the club house, laundry, and pool are not finished you get a bargain, that suits me and Jake, the wonder dog. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We contacted the park to see if they had space available and agreed to stay in the overflow for a couple of days until the new sites were ready. Five days later we moved onto a site where others were away and then a week later, the sites were still not ready. We decided to leave rather than move from pillar to post waiting for a site. The park is well treed and what sites there are, are well laid out. The sites and roadways are concrete but the surrounding neighborhood is questionable. The clubhouse, bathrooms or laundry were just in the process of being built and there were no activities. The owner tends to overbook the sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Coastal Oaks RV Resort is Rockport's newest RV park. In fact, as of December 1, 2007, only the first 25 sites are ready to go. But what great sites they are! Complete cement pads and patio. The next 25 sites (now under construction)are to be ready to go before Jan. 1, 2008. Also, every site has trees on it, and great amount of space between the sites. There is a man made lake. Clubhouse is now almost completed overlooking the lake. Pool and laundry are to be completed after the 1st of the year. On site owners and manager are very nice and helpful. Though still under construction, this is Rockport's best RV Park! 50 amp service. Cable TV and WiFi were free! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This could be a good campground, but the managers are very rude and inconsiderate of their patrons. Five RV's left when we did. Some went home and some went to other RV parks. My space was under water most of the time we were there and management refused to put tiles down so we wouldn't get wet coming and going. We will never stay at Big D again. The owner needs to wake up before his managers run everyone off. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one month, and found the other RV'ers very friendly. Sites are a little tight in some locations. We had some very heavy rains and there was an amount of flooding, but nothing too serious. My two complaints are the Wi-Fi is very slow, and the female manager is extremely argumentative, even to the point of telling me that Skype does not work in Texas. Skype does work in Texas but she will not believe it, the problem is the speed of the internet here. Pool is small but adequate, we didn't use it but if the weather had been warmer would have been refreshing. Streets are all concrete and wide, site pads are concrete also. Activities are planned most days or evenings. We would stay here for several months if the internet was up to par. I do not have to talk to the Manager. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nightly rate was based on the monthly rate plus the electric we used. This was a return visit to this park. We liked the location, no noise, out from the city a little ways, on a lake, and nice concrete sites. Sites are a little close but both times we've had excellent neighbors so it wasn't a big deal. This time we actually didn't have anyone on our door side for several sites. Don't care for all the pet rules they now have in place. I tried to obey most of them but it was so rainy and wet that the pet area was impossible for us to use; it was too muddy. We used an area outside the pen which was against the rules but had no other choice. Lots of things to do and see around the park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is located in a quiet rural location on the north side of the town. The managers were nice and helpful. Most of the sites are back-ins. Ours was a little difficult to back into but the assistant made it easier. One issue is that not all sites have cable so be sure to ask for one that does. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a decently nice park with concrete roads and parking. They also have concrete parking spots for your car. They have increased the amount of concrete around some of the sites and hope to continue adding more in the future. There is a fishing pier but you cannot access the lake shore from the campground. They have a swimming pool but it is more like an overgrown hot tub with water jets than a pool. The roads have been patched with a slurry that is either breaking up or has raised part of the road elevation several inches. It appears that the original concrete was not poured deep enough to carry the weight of large RVs. There are no trees in the park so you do not have to worry about satellite reception but it allows the wind to really attack your rig. You will not ever be able to safely put out an awning. They charge extra for cable TV. The Wi-Fi is free and works fine as long as there are not too many people on it as is the case with other parks too. The park was virtually full in the winter but emptied out by April 1st so that it is virtually empty after that date. For their sake, I hope they do not go broke. Three months business per year is not much. The amenities such as clubhouse, library and rec room close on April 14th and you have to get the manager to let you in if you want to use those facilities. There is an activity director but it is just a work camper (not a professional) who leaves about the first of April. There are some real cliques during the winter. It is so bad that one woman told us to use certain washers and dryers and it turned out that they were the worst operating ones in the laundry. She also told my wife to limit her laundry to 2 units even though the park rules did not say this and she was using 4 units herself. It just was not a welcoming environment like we have had elsewhere. Having said that, the managers are on site now and are very nice. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice campground. Couldn’t ask for a friendlier park. Managers and staff are both friendly and helpful. Campground sets on a salt lake with a fishing pier and cleaning station. Campground has pool, laundry facilities, exercise equipment, pavilion and clubhouse. All sites have a concrete pad with grass between each site. Wintertime there is always something going on. Close to shopping. It you like to fish Rockport is the place to be. Price reflects a monthly rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There is a manager on site now. The WiFi is great. And they have very large pads now. You can see where they added patios to the existing pads (not the best of work, lumpy) and now there is very little grass between sites!! Trucks and toads can be parked easily by the RVs. Very small pool and is COLD!!! Nice little fenced doggy area. Very friendly people. There is a calendar of activities. Nice exercise equipment and pool table!! Very nice lounge with TV. Sits on a salt water lake with a pier to fish. Just a few shower/restrooms available. Most people seems to be by the month. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Big D is 3 years old but already shows signs of wearing as the concrete on the roadways and sites is breaking up. The park and the staff are very friendly and all the staff, except the Manager, are on-site. There are no planned activities and all activities depend on the campers to organize and run. There is always something going on and the campers did a great job. Parking your tow vehicle on your site is almost impossible. Initially, parking was on every other site but as the sites filled, vehicles that could not park on their own site, could not park on the roadways and were directed to park in spaces at the entrance to the park (often quite far from their camping sites). Many of the sites are too short and too narrow for really big rigs. Wifi is free and fairly good but is limited by the number of systems using the service. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Staff was friendly. All concrete pads. Needs more activities, but it is a newer campground so maybe it will get better. The pool needs to be heated so you can use it in the winter months. This was a nice park in many ways.There are a lot of winter activities you can take part in. Lot sizes are not too bad, however parking your vehicles can be a problem on your lots. They really need a live on site manager.There is no one there fulltime. If you come in after hours your not sure where to go or what to do.WiFi works only part of the time. They say they are going to work on it before next winter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park and a great staff. The Wi-Fi worked well and the cable TV was a plus (too many trees for satellite). All the facilities were spotless and the pool was very nice. The only negative, the signage at the entrance should be more visible and the entrance road was a little rough. Overall a great stay, we will be back. The rate was based on monthly rate. We thought this was a great park. The sites were a little tight, but we had plenty of room for our slides and all. We used the park as a base camp to explore the area. We also rented one of the Cabana's and thought they were not only nice, but a great option for us since we brought one of our son's friends along so we needed the extra room. Everything worked as advertized and the amenities were perfect. If we were to take the camper down again, this would be the place we will stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We found this park by looking at several in the region for spending the winter months. We stumbled on this park and couldn't have been better if it was planned. Staff in the office and the outside workers have been great, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Activities are the best, Owners are putting a lot of time, work and money into the park. The rate is the monthly rate divided by 30/31. Park has a new activity room new for 2011-12. Frequent activities such as potluck meals, parties, music & entertainment, games, crafts, etc. Roads are now paved. Park maintenance is excellent. Propane available on site; will deliver cylinder back to your site when filled. The office staff is OUTSTANDING. We were provided service ABOVE & BEYOND anything at other parks/resorts. We have been across the U.S. and this is one of the best ever. We'll be back in 2013. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park outside of Rockport. Roads are dirt which make them dusty or muddling. Level sites are cement with grass and oak trees. New rec center has been built. Water, Wi-Fi, and power were good, cell weak (AT&T). Owners/staff very friendly. We would recommend staying here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Drifters based on the reviews and the fact that they advertised a pool/spa. The campground is located south of Rockport and not really near much, but that's what we expected. The campground spots are very nice: paved with grass and trees. The strange thing is that the interior roads are all dirt. We were there when it rained and the roads had lots of potholes and water covering them. It was apparent they were having some drainage problems. I would rate this park a 7, but certainly not a 10 like others. My biggest reason was the advertised heated pool/spa. Well, its heated if you tell them several hours (or a day) early and they want to know exactly when you plan to use it. I know its expensive to heat the pool/spa, but we expected it to be available at all times. When we did try to use it we were given the wrong hours and they closed it before we could come. If you are looking for a place with a heated pool I suggest you look for something else. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We rented a cabin here last year and thought it was very good. This year the cabin was dirty and 2 of the plates in the cupboard had food on them. The housekeeper did not want to give us extra towels: how cheap can you get. We had 3 kids with us that needed 2 baths a day! For almost $300 for 2 nights ($119 per night plus tax), I don't think we'll be back. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Drifters. The owners and staff are very accommodating. Memorial Day weekend they provided a band, everyone had a great time. People danced on the porch of the Rec Center, kids swam, some people ordered pizza from the mobile pizza trailer. It was a great way to kick off the summer season. Everyone seemed to have a good time while respecting the 11PM quiet time. The resort was full on both the RV side and the Cabin side. A great place to take a family. I couldn't count the number of kids riding their bikes. Quite a few groups gathered to pitch washers and bean bags. We would highly recommend this park !!! By the way...they hooked up to city water this spring...huge investment on the part of the owners but so wonderful for the guests and the new fitness center is open with 4 great pieces of equipment, just the right size !!! This is a very nice park. The layout, space, grass and trees make for a great environment. They have also just opened a new section of 20 spaces. The owners and campground hosts are very friendly and accommodating, and visible around the park daily. The monthly rate is currently $275 plus electric at .14 per kilowatt hour. There is only one drawback to this park, and that is a small laundry room of two washers and two dryers. This park is located 1/2 way between Rockport and Aransas Pass, on Highway 35. I highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have been here two weeks and are about to leave, wish we could stay longer. We will be back as soon as we can. Employees are friendly and helpful and accommodating. The sites are easy access and wide with concrete pads. The restrooms and showers were clean every time we used them. The laundry room was clean. Nice grass areas and a lot of shade trees. Nearby propane, stores and restaurants. Large pretty pool. There isn't a lot to do for children, but we don't have children so that's okay. I would highly recommend this campground. A really wonderful park that caters to many winter Texans. The owners are in the process of adding 20 new full service sites that will likely be ready by this coming April or May. The RVers who stay at this park are very, very welcoming and open, and treat 'newcomers' with great warmth and friendliness. Some of the long timers have returned to Drifters for 14 years in a row. That says a great deal about how terrific the park truly is! My wife and I were sorry to move on after staying there for two weeks, but have placed our names on the returnees list for the late fall / early winter in 2009. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The park is well laid out although trees are fairly close and you have to maneuver around them to get to your site. The pads are cement and all hookups easy to get to. The only problem is cell phone service has poor reception. We noticed people having to go outside to try and get a couple of bars to talk and it was the same for us. That's the only downside that I can see. They are in the process of adding another 24 sites. We would stay here again if passing through. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Here we are back again. This time for at least 4 months. As we said last time...best RV park we have been in in 29 states. New RV sites built in 2006 are open, new maintenance building under construction. Pool is still as fantastic as when it was new. The owners and staff are very friendly and willing to aid in making your visit fun. The cabins seem to be full most weekends and at least 1/3 are occupied through the week. Seems as though the people in the cabins are enjoying their stay as much as we are. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

My stay here was for 1 month. The park owners live on site. They are very friendly and will do anything they can to help make your stay enjoyable. Some of the other residents have been coming here ever since the park opened 3 years ago. The 2007 monthly rate of $250 + electricity is very reasonable. Rockport, TX, about 5 miles away, has about everything one would need including a Wal-Mart. Padre Island is about 15 miles and a short ferry ride away from the park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the best RV park we have been in in 29 states. Great sites with ample patio, parking, grass and trees. Has a couple wonderful owners. The cabins have a nautical theme. Definitely plan on going back. I really don't know the daily rate as we stayed 3 months at the monthly rates: April to July. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The Rockport - Fulton - Aransas Pass area has over 30 RV parks listed in the phone book. There are several more that are not listed and many are not in Woodall�s or Trailer Life. We just happened onto this place which is located midway between Rockport and Aransas Pass. It is still under construction as of March 2005 and the owner is allowing sites to be occupied as they are completed. So far there are 28 completed and will be a total of 50. There is a nice clubhouse and spotless restrooms. Swimming pool and laundry facilities are planned but not yet completed. The RV park is being built in a forest of live oaks with every effort being made to preserve as many trees as possible and still have plenty of clearance for the largest RV. Sites are long (plenty of room for our 38� 5th wheel and tow vehicle with driveway space left over) and are concrete with a concrete patio. While most RV parks in this area are packed in like sardines, each site here has it�s own grass yard of about 35� to the next site. The owners are very friendly and helpful and will do anything they can to make your stay more pleasant. We are full time Rvers and this is one of the best parks we have found anywhere. The February 2009 review says about what I encountered as well. However I requested a site next to my brother-in-law and the owners gave me just that or had a 2nd option depending on our rig. The owner came out and helped us navigate into the site due to the closeness of the oaks. Yes: you might lose awning space, but the tree overhang made up for it. Very easy park to find off 188/35: the entrance is where the weigh station used to be. No lights, so it's hard to see at night when looking for the entrance. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a fairly new park that is working on expansion and fine-tuning. There are cement pads with a small cement patio at each site. Most of the sites have good space in-between. A few of the sites have landscaping. The recreation hall is nice; there was just one planned activity during the 45 days we were there. There is no Wi-Fi or cable service. We would like to see the park offer a place to recycle, especially cans. If you have a rig of any size or height, watch carefully for the gnarly oak trees that are everywhere. The oaks add much to the ambiance of this campground, plus they provide shade and protection from the wind. There is the opportunity to do damage to a rig as we witnessed several times. Even though the work-camper came and trimmed branches at our site, there wasn’t room to use our awning. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place. the $8 rate reflects a monthly stay. Electricity was extra. We would camp here again if we could pick the site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a brand new park, just open a year. The sites are very spacious and shady. Each site has a cement pad and patio. There is a new recreation hall, not quite finished yet. It includes a laundry and full bathrooms, now operational. You are allowed to improve your lot at your cost. The roads are gravel now but they intend to pave them. We have decided to make this our home base. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The rate reflects use of a discount coupon and Texas Pass. As others have noted, birding is great in the wooded area, but the spaces can be tight to get into for bigger rigs. The wooded area also gives better protection from the winds, which can get wild on the bay. We stayed two weeks in the bay section where we had no difficulty backing our 32 foot rig into a site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and probably would have rated the campground higher except that the numerous airboats frequently (sometimes constantly) coming in and out of the bay could get pretty obnoxious, especially on the weekends. Another irritant … the internet was out of service in our section. With a long hike down to another section along the bay, we could get internet, but it was extremely slow. We camped in the wooded area so we could have a campfire (not allowed on water front sites). Excellent park staff, very clean park, excellent size sites. We met several great folks who have been camping there on the same weekend for the last 10/20 yrs. We were able to get through all turns with a 35' trailer and a long bed truck. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park. We stayed on the bayside. The sites are roomy, which allows you to position your trailer facing the water, if you want. It was quiet and the neighbors were great, except for some loud day campers next door for one day. It was so windy during our stay that we really couldn't fish (not the park's fault). We tried to move to the shaded area of the park, which looked very nice also (with roomy and private sites), but the park was booked for the holiday weekend. The staff here are all very nice and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here several times, always in the wooded sites. There are large trees with low overhanging limbs. Larger rigs need to be careful. The restrooms are kept clean, even on weekends, but they need to be updated. Mosquitoes are both fierce and plentiful so bring plenty of repellant. The park can get pretty crowded on weekends as it is a favorite with Boy Scouts and other groups. We come here for the birding which is outstanding during spring migration. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent state park, with great staff, and an awesome gulf view. We camped on the west bay front #25-#45 RV sites section. Bay front allows you to pull-in, back-in, jack knife-in to maximize your view of gulf or picnic area. Just be careful not to get boxed-in. Lots of fisherman w/ trucks, trailers and boats close to bay front sites. Wooded area for RV and tent camping is much quieter. Lots of mosquitoes in grass area. We drove to Rockport Beach about 10 miles south for swimming. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have camped at this park twice and loved it both times! We stayed in the wooded area the first time and the bay the second time. Both are incredible. There are low branches so be careful. The office personnel are extremely friendly and helpful. If you're staying more than a few days, buy a State Parks pass and skip the per person entrance fees, then you have the pass for a year and it's good at any Texas State Park. The other campers were mostly "winter Texans" so you run into some very rude people during the winter, but all in all, most people were very friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were in site #31 along the water. Right on the water. Price reflects paying the $6 a day for daily use. We loved this campsite very much. Excellent bird walks in the morning. Staff at kiosk friendly and helpful. We plan to come back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wi-Fi (weak) is available next to each shower-house, and the main office. Half the sites are in the woods and half are on the ocean-bay. Very beautiful well kept park. Friendly staff. We stayed here during the duck hunting season, so the loud airboats woke up the ocean front sites two hours before sunrise, then the snooze alarm went off 1/2 hour before sunrise, when the shooting started. Just noisy, not dangerous. The wooded sites have low hanging branches from the Live Oak trees, so tall rigs must use care. The office person told us which roads to avoid for branches. Sound travels well over the bay, especially at night, we could hear distant heavy machinery running. Fishing was poor in the bay, you need a Texas license if you step in the water, but not if you fish from shore in any state park. Whooping Cranes winter here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are 2 bay areas for camping plus wooded areas as well. Stayed in a bayside site: 1 row away from water. Each site has covered picnic table water and electric. You can park your RV any way you want. There was a fishing pier nearby. We could hear airboats leave every morning before dawn which was a little annoying & duck hunters shooting before dawn a couple days. There was also a long fishing pier on the other side of the campground. We really enjoyed the birds in the area. We were able to photograph whooping cranes near the park as well. Loved the park and the area around Rockport/Corpus Christi. Would definitely stay here again. We camped for 7 nights. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is very nice. It's beautiful in the trees. It was very hard to move through in our motorhome because of the low trees. It was extremely hot in the woods. Then we had problems with electric hookups. We moved to waterfront where we extended our stay 2 extra days. We would return to waterfront but not to woods with a big rig. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were very impressed with this park. Some sites are on the beach (although half of those will be closed during 2011 as the park rebuilds the sites) with no shade or protection from the wind (but great bay views), and the rest are in the "woods," which consists of lovely live oaks and thick brush. We opted for the wooded sites to avoid strong sun and winds along the water and had a private site with no view of anyone else. We were surprised to learn that the park was full during the week of our visit, until we learned that three rare whooping cranes were staying nearby and a rare Central American bird was resident in the park. This park has, in addition to the usual campground hosts, "bird hosts" who conduct multiple bird walks during the week. The live oaks intrude on the roadways in the wooded areas of the park, but liberal use of yellow reflectors on the trees helps to avoid damaging the RV. It was easy to set up our satellite dish even in the woods and our internet cards worked well. The park leaves the Wi-Fi on at the entrance station for those who need it, but they have to go there to receive the signal. The price shown does not include the $4 per person per day access fee that Texas charges, but a $60 annual pass pays for itself in a few days with camping discounts. Rockport is 6 miles away across a long bridge. We'd definitely stay here again the next time we were in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is divided into two distinct camping areas. There is a bay front area and the tree area. We reserved an RV site with 50amp service in the tree area. When we arrived we were told that there were no 50amp sites that would accommodate out 5th wheel. Apparently all the 50amp sites were in the small site area; if you have a 50amp pop-up, you are in business. I believe that the bay front sites have 50amp service, and they are quite large pull through sites. We like the park, and have camped here for many years, but now that our latest 5th wheel likes 50amp service we discovered a small irritation. The state of Texas does NOT require a fishing license for anyone in a state park, so fishing on the pier requires only a hook, line, and sinker. We will return to this park in the future, but we will request a bay front site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

You can't get any closer to the Gulf of Mexico without getting your feet wet! This is a very nice state park campground with two areas: in the woods and on the beach. The beach campsites (where we stayed) are very close to the water and the nose of our motorhome was about 20' from the breakwater. There is a small shelter with picnic table at each site which offers protection from rain, wind, and sun. We were able to pickup the Wi-Fi signal because we set up near the washrooms. Many visitors seem to be fishing in the area...the beach is not really that suitable for swimming or beach combing. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of our favorite state parks. Sites are available either on the water or back in the woods. We camped in the woods because it is quieter and there is less wind. This park offered guided bird walks every morning, and three evening programs the week that we were here. A great destination for birders. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park, right on the Gulf. The staff was friendly and the grounds were well kept. It's handy to the Aransas Refuge which was very interesting. We were able to choose waterfront (the park would have loaned us fishing gear), or wooded. We opted for wooded as we didn't want to deal with the strong onshore winds. The wooded sites were well spaced and easy to back into. So far, we are very impressed with the Texas State parks. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed one night just for a place to rest. Since it was Sunday, I couldn't make a reservation-just got a recorded message, but it had the phone number for the Park Ranger, so I called and left a message and he actually called back! He was very helpful and friendly and said we could show up whenever, and gave us the code to get in if it was after 10pm and gave us directions since he said the GPS would send us to another location about 6 miles away. His directions worked and we made it just fine. There are wooded sites and bay side. The wooded are $16 and the bay side $20 plus $3/per person for the state park day fee. We stayed at the bay side area and it was okay - nothing special but we do like being by the water. It's on a seawall rather than a slope to the water. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has three types of sites available; waterfront, open area, and wooded area. The waterfront sites are a few yards from Copano Bay, and include a 2-sided shelter. The open area is similar to a standard RV park setup. The wooded areas offer a lot of privacy, with a dense copse separating the sites from each other. Sites have water & electric, a fire ring, charcoal grill, and a lantern pole. Some of these wooded area sites can be difficult due to the trees, brush, and narrow roads, so bring your trailer-backing skills with you. Our stay was made less than perfect by hordes of aggressive and hungry mosquitoes, some of which fought their way through dense applications of repellent. Bring plenty! We like this park a lot and will return many times. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park offers bay front sites with water and electric. Our camper was approximately 18 feet from the water. There are also wooded sites that have great shade and lots of space, but those sites are a quarter mile from the water and have no ocean view. Fishing is free (no license) for state park guests and there is a long, lighted fishing pier available. The Texas Parks and Wildlife employees were helpful and the park was very clean. Every space was reserved several weeks in advance for Spring Break. The park is about 30 minutes from Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, where you can see Whooping Cranes during the winter. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nightly rate is for bayfront site. Very friendly and helpful staff. Two caviats - 1. If you have a big rig, plan to camp in the bayfront sites. Wooded sites are mostly small. 2. Try to get one of the lower numbered sites on the bayfront. The west end (higher numbers) gets more spray during high winds. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This in another quality Texas State Park with a lot to offer. Two areas comprise the park; the water sites, located on the bay, and Wooded, which are carved out of the heavy woods. We passed on the water sites; a bit cramped, not very level, smelled bad (they're right next to "stinky beach") but have nice views of the bay. The wooded sites were very private, with a small entrance that was a challenge getting a 40' MH into, but opened inside into a large area with fire pit, BBQ, and pad with picnic table. The facilities are extensive, with hiking and nature trails, boat launch and fish cleaning stations, and a large fishing pier. Guided bird tours and photo classes are offered, and the staff is very friendly. This is an excellent park for both the retired community and families. The only improvement would be addition of sewer hookups. We'd stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

One of our favorite spots. Wonderful sites right on the bay, it can be very windy, but its worth it for the views and sunsets. Good restrooms. The interior sites are more sheltered and private, but are pretty tight for a large RV. HEB and Wal-Mart are close by. Lots of lovely restaurants. Only 1 negative thing, the air boats leave very early in the am. Take ear plugs. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We made a one-night reservation but stayed for three nights. The rate was $20 for the site and $3 for each person plus a internet reservation fee. Our total cost was $81 for three nights. We camped on the bay and enjoyed the site. You can park at the water's edge. There is no beach, only a sea wall. The water was about 2 feet deep but there were lots of jelly fish (non-sting type). We drove across the bridge toward Rockport and found a great swimming beach on the left. You can't miss it. The sign at the entrance to the park said Mosquito Advisory and they were right. We loaded up on bug spray and enjoyed our stay outside. There was some geocaching in the area so we did that too. Lots of fishing going on if you like that. The Rangers were giving talks and letting kids fish. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Absolutely beautiful. Great friendly staff. This is the best State Park I have been in in the past year. Texas really does know how to take care of its State Parks. This one is a must do. You won't want to leave. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed in this park for six nights in March 2008. It is well-known for its fishing and birding opportunities. GISP has two camping areas: the woods (reputed to be buggy) and the waterfront (infamous for its high winds and salt spray). We stayed in the waterfront and, although we felt the winds and our vehicles got some spray, the experience was terrific. We have friends who camped in the woods and had no problem with mosquitoes. The wooded sites are definitely prettier but the waterfront is an adventure. Free bird walks, led by birding hosts, were held four mornings a week. They were very interesting and beginners felt quite comfortable. The diversity of species and the number of birds amazing. We didn’t get involved in shore fishing but many beachfront campers did and, on a busy morning, there would have been at least 50 fishing boats at the launch. Finding a fishing guide at the boat launch looked very easy. The park also has a nature trail worth walking and there is a beautiful, easy bike loop to the famous, 1000 year old Big Tree. Washroom construction was underway and the one beachfront washroom was under stress from a lot of use. GISP is an another excellent state park. Wi-Fi was a bonus but somewhat tempermental. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Reasonably sized, level and very private sites in wooded area. Be sure to accept their offer to look before you select a site. Some can be very tight because they are so densely wooded. Though dense the trees are short enough a dish will work on many sites. The water pressure at my site occasionally exceeded 95 psi so a regulator was a must. I think they were working on the park water system so this might have been temporary. The WiFi only served one of the beach areas and the immediate vicinity of the office. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park offers camping on the ocean - with W/E, shelter, and table. Nice large sites with view. Park is quite a distance from town so stock up prior to arrival. We were able to drive in without a reservation but the TX State Park reservation system is great. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park would be a 10 if they had sewers. Nice large sites. Ours was backing on Aransas Bay, clear view of the south for the satellites. The wooded area would have problems accessing satellite in a lot of spots. Lots of birds to see. Jan/Feb/Mar they have a bird walk four mornings a week. They also had slide shows at the rec centre to explain what is happening at GISP, bird identification, all sorts of things. They even have a book exchange program and very close to Rockport for shopping etc. We enjoyed our stay here and would have stayed longer if they weren't full. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed our stay in the wooded section of the park. Parking a large rig with slides can be very difficult in this area due to the large trees. You better be good at back-in maneuvering--else head to the bay sites. Our wooded site was very comfortable once we were in. Our picnic table and fire pit was almost completely hidden and private. Suggest you drive around first and find the best spot for you. Bird watching was great! We camped here in a Motorhome.

The beach sites are great. Good firm ground, not like some of the other beach camping I've experience. Even the biggest rigs can park water front here. Its not much of a swimming beach. Though I'm not one myself, I was surrounded by fishermen. I found the park in general exceptionally well maintained. On two occasions I saw park staff stop trucks and get out to pick up a single can. The WiFi only works within a couple hundred feet of the main entrance. That only covers a few sites in the wooded area and a picnic table next to the office. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park with both wooded sites and bay front sites. The wooded sites can be difficult due to the trees and how they grow, the sites on the outside loop are better and more private. The bay front sites can be very windy. Really nice fishing pier. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

An enjoyable state park - some sites alittle tight because of the way the trees go, but when you find one that fits, it is a lovely place to be. Had all types of birds singing to us all day long. Sites are very level in the wooded area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great location, between Goose Island SP and the Big Tree with whooping cranes on the back side of the block. Wi-Fi needs work, You need AT&T for cell phone. Friendly place with quite roads for walks and biking. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is monthly at $275 up $50 from last year and electric is.19c KWH in line with the area. This is our 4th year here and not a lot of changes. There is new staff that are very friendly and helpful and the office has regular hours. Roads are still dirt and gravel in spots. The Wi-Fi is the worst it has ever been. I guess it works in the office but I got an AT&T MiFi card as I couldn't get it to work at all. AT&T cell service but no Verizon. The sites are large and the area is quiet so it is great for walking in the morning. Sites are not paved and some grass and sandy. Thing is no RV Park is perfect. They all have their pluses and minuses and for me this is the best one in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice RV park. New high power Wi-Fi internet throughout the park, one of many recent upgrades we're told. Works great. New friendly management continues to make improvements. Also nice fully furnished large apartment and big clubhouse. Clean restrooms. Best part is location and large, nice and quiet setting. Will surely be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The price reflects the weekly rate. The campground is somewhat rustic with approximately 50 permanent RVs. The sites are widely spaced but have limited access due to the trees. All sites and roads are gravel. The Wi-Fi is terrible and there is no Verizon Cellular access. We won't stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rate based on monthly at $225 and .18 per KWH for electric. This is our third year here. Basic RV park. The term resort is used loosely. Nice big sites well away from the highway and hustle and bustle of town. Wi-Fi is tolerable. AT&T cellular works OK with a Wilson antenna but others don't. There is a new manager, who is really nice and works hard to keep the park running smoothly. All things are a trade off and the pluses on the park well outweigh the minuses. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Hidden Oaks is located well away from the busy Highway 35 which passes through the Rockport area. Unlike many of the other parks in this area, it is very quiet. A majority of the sites are occupied by “Winter Texans”. The parks roadways are gravel and quite rough. There is no cable TV service provided and the Wi-Fi connectivity varies from good to frustratingly slow. This problem is probably due to the level of service (and cost to the park) provided by the Internet service provider. The park is owned by an absentee group of investors, but is staffed by a very pleasant and helpful resident manager. I didn’t make use of the clubhouse, bathrooms or laundry, but they appear to be dark and uninviting. Access through the live oaks is good, but drivers of tall rigs should remain aware of the possibility of low-hanging branches. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our 2nd year here. The sites are large and the staff are great. There are no organized activities, but the winter Texans are really friendly and we get together and do things we plan, not what an activities director plans. The Wi-Fi is slooooow at best but doable if you are patient. Bottled water is a must for drinking but that is pretty much true for the area. AT&T cell service is good but it seems only AT&T works here. No Verizon, but there is a signal close by ( 3 blocks ) and Verizon may work with a Wilson antenna. Goose Island State park is right down the road and free if you walk in or ride a bicycle in. The area is pretty rural and the walking is nice. This year there were Whooping Cranes down 8th Street that we saw on our 2.5 mile walk. We will be back next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is based upon a weekly rate. Nice small park in quiet location. Many return "Winter Texans". Very friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is very poor Wi-Fi. The manager said they are going to upgrade this soon. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Once you find it, you will be glad you did. Near Goose Island state park, Hidden Oaks has nice, quiet and large sites just like on their website. Many oak trees, but ample space. Park's only a few years old, but owners making many upgrades, esp recently in the clubhouse- pool table, new washers/dryers, fast/free wifi internet. no organized activities, but plenty of resident organized fun and much to do in the area. Plus, a new friendly onsite manager. We will be back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Above rate based on monthly at $225. Nice park with lots of trees. All sites are back in; if you have a long Fifth Wheel some sites are challenging. In fact the first site we tried I couldn't get into due to trees. It is a very nice park with really big sites and lots of room. The Wi-Fi is spotty at best but they are working on getting it where it works. The owner is spending a LOT of money on this and other improvements. The people here are extremely friendly. There are no planned activities but the winter Texans are always doing something together. For example last night was an impromptu pot luck and right before we got here they had a shrimp boil. I would definitely stay here again. Cell service is OK with Cingular but I've been told Verizon is spotty. A few Wilson Antennas for Verizon cell and air cards. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is way too small for large motorhomes. We barely had enough space to get our rig in the spot. The people in the office do not know what they are doing. They could not get our bill correct. It just seemed that everything was in complete turmoil. We went into their little store and the lady had nothing good to say about the park. I feel that is poor representation of the park. There are many new parks going up in the surrounding areas, with better prices and better facilities. Some even include cable and Wi-Fi free. I think we will check out the area better next time. This park is getting to be an older park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our second time to stay here. Our site was 70 feet long and had a fair space between the the sites on either side. There are many winter Texans staying in the park. There are many park models that a permanent. All of the sites and streets are paved concrete. Our site was level. There is a charge for Wi-Fi ($19 a month), but we had a great signal and it was fast. Our cell phone had a good signal. We enjoyed our stay here and will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park apparently has new owners and management. Employees at office did not seem to know what was going on. We were promised one site but it was already taken. When we returned to office we were given another site which was too narrow for our motorhome to turn into. Almost damaged rig on trees that were everywhere in the wrong places to maneuver around. After we finally got settled, found out Wi-Fi cost extra and did not work most of the time. All in all, agree with previous reviewer that this is not a resort, but a park that is showing it's age. We will not stay here again. Many newer and better parks in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is NOT a "resort." We expected the campground to be as stated on the Internet. Arrived with no one at the office until 1pm, so we had to return later. When we left the next morning there was a note on the office door, open at 12 noon. No air conditioning in the recreation hall, no heated indoor pool as indicated on the Internet, note pool closed on Monday, dirty hot tub (sand on the seats), lack of privacy in bathrooms with a curtain, not a door, for each toilet/shower, a huge dip getting into the campground scraping the RVs (as apparent by marks at the entrance), 50% cancellation fee (advertised on the Internet), but paid over $100 for three nights and stayed one night without any refund or cooperation from Lagoons Resort RV. Obviously, my husband and I would never return to this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice and well cared for RV park. I agree with the other posters who said the sites were a bit tight. I have a 36 foot fifth wheel and was able to maneuver ok, but the site itself was not long enough for the truck and trailer. The place was almost completely full and the spaces are tight side to side. This is one of the quietest parks we have ever stayed in. The staff was friendly and helpful and for a fee they will let you wash your truck and trailer, which I did. We would return here. Wal-Mart and restaurants are close by. Our cell phones and air card work okay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This rate is the weekly rate with the extra for electricity prorated added in. This RV park is very nice. The sites are well treed which could cause a problem with some larger RV's. Wonderful location minutes to town and waterfront and beaches, shopping, etc. Nice streets, pool, etc. The staff was very nice. Has spacious pad sites with trees and nice facilities. Was clean. Will stay here again. There were 7 coachs in our group and they placed us all together. Very nice staff. We were here 5 days and will stay here again. Not sure about the rate as we had Good Sam and FMCA discounts. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our first stay in Lagoons RV Resort, but it sure will not be our last. We have stayed at other RV parks in Rockport. We were at another park the month of July and while we were there we spent many days looking for another park because we had had it with that park and wanted to move. We found Lagoons and here we are. The park is very quite. There is no problem at all in parking and setting up, if you can maneuver as my hubby can. The indoor pool and hot tub is great. The showers and laundry room are awesome. The reason it did not get a "10" is the reception of the cable TV was not good and having to pay for it. The Wi-Fi connection was OK but did not like having to pay for it. Maybe some of these things will change. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We heartily recommend Lagoons. We stayed here 2 months. There are spotless restrooms and clubhouse, very friendly folks. There were many winter Texans, and many activities available each day. There is a wonderful indoor pool. We especially enjoyed the water volleyball. Wi fi and cable both cost extra, and the sites are relatively small, with many trees. However, the staff will assist you in parking your rv in tight situations. It is near Walmart, Walgreens, and the seaside/fishing is about a mile away. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

It was hard to maneuver our 40 ft motorhome around the oak trees. These oaks are low and wind swept. You have to be careful to not side swipe your coach on one of them. The direction they told us to go, we had to back up to make the turn on the corner. The streets are tight for turning a large coach. They are concrete along with the pads being concrete. The space between is sandy with some vegetation. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park and convenient to everything in Rockport. The sites are paved as are the patios. We found this park to be a little "tight" for space, but was acceptable. The negatives were that WiFi was extra as was electricity. This is the first park we have encountered on our 9 month journey that charged extra for electricity. It was very humid while we were there so needed to run the air conditioners as well as the de-humidifier and at the end of the week, had to pay an extra $29.55. The other negative is that the trees all around are Live Oaks which makes for a mess with leaves everywhere and combined with the very sandy soil isn't so nice. However, the laundry facilities are excellent, large, bright and clean and reasonably priced at $1.25 for both washers and the dryers. The people here were very friendly. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an absolutely beautiful park! It's in the middle of Rockport, close to beaches, shopping, restaurants. It's very well planned with pull-thrus and back-ins with plenty of space between rigs. Every site has a picnic table. Wonderful staff! Lots of planned activities. The place has 4 full bathrooms instead of restrooms with showers. You are made to feel welcome and at home here. We'll definitely be back here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful RV park in the town of Rockport.It has easy access off the highway and on arrival as you enter, there is a spectacular fountain where you stop to register. Your first impression of the park is good and it only gets better. There are lots of trees so after check in usually two people help you find your site. One of the nicest RV park we have stayed in. Lots of Winter Texans. Rockport is about 25 miles to Corpus Christi so if you want big city life it is close. We spent two days looking at RV resorts in the area for future long term stays and found Lagoons was the best. It is well managed and everyone very friendly. The weekly rate was $155 plus electricity. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Lagoons is a great place with 100% level concrete streets and pads, a very good rec hall with indoor heated pool and hot tub. It has a small store with some RV items and a small grill and a lot of activities. The park is very clean and well maintained and it is centrally located in Rockport. Why is it not a 10? Only because cable TV is extra cost (for stays of a week or more), and the Wi-Fi is also extra cost. Kind of reminds me of a really nice restaurant but you have to pay extra for the napkin and the silverware. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I noticed the web-site does not advertise the cost of staying at the park. I requested a reservation by email and was never contacted. I made contact by phone but the dates were wrong. When we arrived a site was available, but it was smaller than what we had been told. We asked for assistance helping us back in due to the narrow road, narrow sites and trees and were told the park did not provide that service. We had to ask two neighbors to move their vehicles so we could get into our site. The sites were so narrow when a trailer parked next to us we had to step over their sewer hose. There are very friendly people staying at the park. Our neighbors provided us with more assistance and information than the staff, but hey, that is the great thing about camping! When you walk the dogs you will need a pair of gloves with you to remove all hte stickers they get from the Dog walk. We may research otehr parks in the area for our next trip. Other people may like the park but for this price I expect more. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park. All the sites are concrete and level. The Rec Center is big and has many activities. Indoor swimming pool. Park has mostly long term residents. Everybody is very friendly. There is a great park adjacent to the RV Park. We walked here most every day with the dog. It has a walking path that is about one and half miles around, and is a great nature area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park with friendly staff. We loved the area! The pull through sites would be better than the backins because we felt crowded in the backins. The lane behind you is at an angle and the rear of the rig behind is close. We felt jammed together. Everything else was great. Nice laundry, rec center etc. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is beautifully landscaped, but that is about all the positives I could find for it. My main complaint is that they don't honor their price commitments. When I got there, they wanted almost $200 more than they quoted me for the month (yes, I had it in writing, but they still wouldn't honor their written price). The woman told me I was free to go elsewhere, and I would have, but this was our first trip to Texas and we didn't know how hard it would be to find another RV park on such short notice. The sites were so close that I actually had to step over the neighbors sewer connection when exiting my rig. In addition, overhanging tree limbs caused a problem trying to just get to the site. One neighbor told me he ripped his rubber roof trying to get in, and they had to cut a tree branch off to accommodate another. The Wi-Fi was so poor that I had to go elsewhere to check e-mail (and you pay $40 per month extra for it, even though I was quoted $30). I would not consider staying here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Lagoons is, in my opinion, by far the nicest RV RESORT in Rockport/Port Aransas area. It is a resort because, among other things, they have an activity director in the winter and a lot of things to be involved in. Everywhere you drive on concrete and they keep it looking sharp. The owners live close by and they are there quite often. They take a lot of pride in the place because they (and their children) built it themselves and have poured a lot of blood sweat and tears into it. It is more expensive than the others in that area, but you get what you pay for. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because they charge extra for cable TV and the Wi-Fi, which only works well very early in the morning when not many are on it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We agree that this is a very nicely kept park. There are drawbacks. Sites are very small and close together. Luckily, we don't have rigs on either side of us or we'd feel VERY cramped. We made reservations months in advance and the price was raised before we got here, they did not honor the quoted price. Also, they charge 2% extra for credit card transactions, they "prefer" personal checks. And, they charge extra for pets, we paid $20 more for a month for 2 dogs. They charge $20 a month extra for cable and extra for wifi. The store is only open from 12 to 4. You can only get your mail from 1 to 4. There is no escort to your site. There are 2 dumpsters located at the back of the park, so if you're not close to them, you have quite a walk. And make sure your dog doesn't have an "accident" on the way to the dog walk! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great park with wonderful amenities. Small site but plenty of space to walk dogs and ride bicycle. Nice indoor pool with small store, pool table, gym, library, and excellent laundry. The staff and guest are very friendly and we did not feel like we were intruding by camping in someone's backyard. Close to all Rockport and Fulton beaches and restaurants. We were going to stay a week and ended up staying 3 months only reason we left was our space was reserved for "Winter Texans". We have been here for the last 4 mos. This campground is spotless and everything is very well maintained. The activities are varied and numerous. The reason this park did not get a 10 is because management does not air condition the large activity room adequately which is a big drawback in the spring, especially when one want to dance or play ping pong. This is a wonderful clean park with all the amenities one could want. We especially liked the huge, well organised laundry, the well stocked library and the super large indoor heated pool and jacuzzi. The sites are all concrete pad and very clean, the only reason I didn't give this park a 10 was because the sites are a little too close together for our liking and the WiFi advertised is not free. I paid $4.95 for 24 hours. You will love this park, it is also in a great part of town, in a residential area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

In our opinion this is the finest park we have ever visited. All sites, patio and interior roads are concrete. Most sites have Live Oak Trees. The amenities on park are too numerous to mention. It is located next to a city park with wonderful walking paths. Fishing out of Rockport is some of the best in South Texas. The park is located approximately 1 mile from the water. I believe this is a great advantage in that your coach avoids the heavy saltwater dew prevalent at night. Convenient to shopping. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful park. Well kept. Everything quality. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We actually spent from November 2005 through March 2006 in this park. Everything is concrete--the streets, the pads, and the patios. The dog walk is on a short sandy path with some sandburrs, but it is kept clean. Landscaping is lovely. The entrance features a large fountain with dolphin and sailboat statuary. The recreation building is large enough for dances, dinners, and crafts. The library is well-kept. It is a short bicycle ride to a wonderful city park. I feel that this is the best RV park in Rockport! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lagoons RV park is the nicest park in the Rockport/Fulton Area. All concerte pads with everything very neat and, best of all, very helpful people, both on the staff and guest in the Park. The sites could be just a tad wider, and it's not super close to the water like some other places, but other than that it's a dandy place on a quiet street and we will be returning. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Level sites, full concrete pads, large indoor pool, good landscaping & trees, very clean showers & restrooms, large laundry room, reading room, large community room, equipped exercise room, billiards room. Easy access into park, good directions to site in TL directory. We camped here in a camper.

This is primarily a fishing resort, with cabins and a motel, as well as concrete RV sites. The sites are nicely sized, and are under the stately old oak trees along the bay. Roads are gravel but have curbs in places. Our site had a lamp post on the drive, which was nice as the park is very dark at night. Wi-fi and cable TV worked well. Showers were next to the office, but we were in the newest part to the back of the camp ground. We had to drive the car or ride the bike to the bathroom. The laundry left something to be desired, as it was not too clean. It was alright to a man's standards, but the wife said we are going into town. This is located on the old business 35 highway 5 miles South of Rockport. The Big Fisherman restaurant is around the corner on Hwy 188. That is an experience in itself. I'm sure we'll be back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This rate was pro-rated off the weekly rate since we stayed 9 nights. The park hosts definitely want to please the campers. We had reservations and arrived earlier than expected. They were willing to help park us immediately but we choose to drive around the town first. Came in before the 4th of July and it was a very busy weekend for the town. All we met knew where the RV park was. A friend stayed with us with a vehicle then departed earlier than expected. Enterprise rental cars was just down the street (4 blocks approx.). The owner stayed busy the entire time working around the campground, to include laying a French drain to pull excess rainwater away from low spots. Unfortunately, it was heat index of 113 with no rain. Not their fault, obviously. The community room, showers and washer/dryer area were all nice. Fenced in dog run greatly appreciated. Easy in, easy out. Well stocked store (groceries & RV items) helped with any last minute needs. Definitely will tell others as there are many RV parks in the area but this meet our needs and attractive setting. As far as a previous reviewer saying it was in a run-down part of town, this is a coastal town and all parts of town run the gambit from high-to-low end within several blocks. Items left outside unsecured were undisturbed. I see why many Winter Texans like coming here and we'll stay here while they are up north. We camped here in a Motorhome.

That last reviewer was a grouch! At the risk of being called a "shill", I have to say this is a very nice park, and the staff competent and friendly. Our 4 day stay was enhanced by the rare ducks which visit the ponds, [whistlers] and other bird life. We attended the weekly dinner for residents and were very impressed. We liked the large ponds, and had a pond-side site. We have a large rig, and just fit in as the site was a little short, but very usable. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is a dump. Those who rated it a 10 are either on the payroll or shills. It is in a slum area, is tight as I have ever seen, has terribly crowded sites, and is generally not at all a good park. Calling some of the sites "waterfront" is laughable. If you visit this place BEFORE you make a reservation, you will stay somewhere else. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very friendly park from the owners right down to every guest. Grass, paved streets,very clean and neat, ponds for catch and release fishing, ducks, birds. There are some planned activities and a weekly meal for purchase. I rate this park a 10 but someone that wants a pool and exercise room and lots of activities might rate it a lower number. It is close to local shopping and close to the bypass road to Corpus Christi which is only about 30 miles away. If we are ever back in Rockport we will stay here for sure. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very friendly and helpful. Everyone is escorted to the site, and set-up assistance is offered. Owner knocks himself out to accommodate and be helpful. Staff is competent and friendly. Some sites are grass, and some concrete. Ponds or lagoons have ducks and other wildlife. Excellent park for birders. Nice store and laundry. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Our rate is based on a monthly rate prorated per day. This is a very quiet park geared to snowbirds and has numerous activities like water aerobics, various card games, bingo, etc., as well as weekly potlucks. It is a very "homey" place and very low key but is close to all conveniences. The laundry room is first rate. The owners were very hospitable and the sites were very nice, even though the pull throughs were geared for overnights only: no shade, very close together and close to a noisy highway. But the other sites were all nice and welcoming. There are a number of permanent residents who tend to be rather cliquish, but if you aren't afraid to join things, you'll be made welcome. There is a local airport nearby, which sometimes causes noise due to helicopters and small planes, but it isn't too bothersome. Overall this is a great place! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Originally booked in for a week - stayed a month. Great park - friendly people, owners and campers. Enjoyed Sunday Church services, weekly events, location and people. Tedious 30 minute check-in must have been developed by a team of obsessive-compulsive lawyers. After providing detailed information on pre-printed labels, I had to sign AND print my name 3 times. Check-in person guessed (wrongly) that cable TV provider is Comcast; it is CoBridge Standard. We asked about recycling--aluminum cans only. Environmentally unconscious; she was unaware of any other recycling options. We made one phone call to Chamber of Commerce; there is a rudimentary recycling center at county transfer station a mile away on Airport Road which recycles #1 and #2 plastics, aluminum cans-nothing else. Park is adjacent to busy County Airport; lots of air traffic morning and evenings, quiet at night. Water Pressure 40#. Very friendly neighbors; sites close together. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

My wife and I are fulltimers and have enjoyed our stay at this park for the last 4 years, November through April. The hosts do an excellent job of providing various activities plus keeping the park looking good. We especially enjoy the Thursday night Friendship Dinners and my wife especially enjoys many of the other activities. The nearby airport is a negative, at times, as it is used to transport workers to and from the Gulf oil rigs and for landing practice. However, it is only a small, occasional annoyance. Most of us who live here are friendly and ready to help when needed. Winter rates are comparable with all other similar resorts and we will return for our 5th year this November. We are "Winter Texans" and have spent 9 winters at this park so obviously we are very satisfied. It fits us well and that is what one looks for. Very clean, great people, trees or sun which ever the season calls for. Away from town yet convenient enough to needs. Lots of grass, sites are not crowded together. Many activities available if you choose to participate-your choice. Most of us are retired, many from very responsible jobs and it is nice at this time in our life to do what we want when we want. Spent a snowbird winter here (2.5 months). The nightly rate is an average that includes electric. All roads and pads are concrete. Facilities are very well maintained. Cable TV is excellent. I use Verizon wireless broadband and the signal was fine. Management is very friendly and helpful. Yes, there is a small plane/helicopter airport, but you get used to the noise quickly. Overall, a much better than average place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has it good and bad points.The bad first the owners make you pay a $60.00 security deposit,which they won't refund when you leave.They say they will refund your credit card when they audit their books.They then make you pay your electric bill separate and charge $6.00 for the last night you stay.The roads and sites are concrete,but very narrow and hard to get into spaces. The water pressure is terrible. The other campers are very nice, and helped us park. The airport is next door and is very noisy day and night with helicopter noise and Navy planes doing touch and goes.The bathrooms and laundry are very clean.The wifi was terrible,a lot of people were complaining about it.They do have a lot of activities and trips going to places around the area.The breakfast on Sat is great for $3.00.The campers here are very friendly and made the stay worthwhile.We stayed for a month.If we return to the area we won't stay here again. Airplane noise unbearable. Helicopter noise unbearable. Airport next door has Navy trainers flying all day and night. No refunds from management if you want to leave because of this. Would not stay again. Beware! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stay at Rockport 35 RV for 6 months out of the year and every year we look forward to going back there. We have all the conveniences of home . Rockport is a growing community and not far from Corpus Christi. There is many nice people to visit with. We have paved streets and nice shade trees. There is a nice club house with a kitchen,rec room, and dance hall also used for church services on Sunday morning. We have a laundry room all equipped. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As with all parks, there are goods and bads and these vary also by the type of rig you have. The sites (and roads) are concrete but narrow and short. Several are only 30 amp, so check. Fellow campers know parking is a challenge and pop up to help guide you in ... owners do not. People and the activities made this place a real gem and there is a nice blend of trees, palms and openness. Distance between the backs of units on opposing streets is outstanding. WiFi worked well as did the cable. Low city water pressure and questionable septic system. Record your meter reading upon arrival as electric is read and paid monthly - rate acceptable and while our own AC Volt meter rested mostly in the 113 volt area, it did not drop into the red. Have a rubber sewer connector sleeve to get attached to their sewer pipe. The air port next door does have regular traffic of helicopters that service the oil platforms from offices almost next door. They and the Navy trainers from NAS Corpus Christi that use the field for touch and go practice can make it very noisy at times. My guess is the owner that runs the office is the reason for all the negative comments given by others. My advice is to be very neutral when dealing with her and deal with her ONLY when you have to. Having said that, we love the Rockport/Fulton area and we did have a wonderful time for our winter months here but are looking to find something better for next winter. Maybe we won't find all we want. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The owners do not tell the truth regarding the sites, as they are on concrete with not enough room to even put slides outs.The stories they tell on the phone do not hold true, when we get to the park. They charge extra for parking extra cars and cargo trailers and don't have a place to park them.They charge for mail delivered to the park, and also sign for mail knowing that the people are not in the park. Charges have be filed by DHL. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The people are very rude and don't know how to tell the truth.They will charge your credit card without your knowledge if they have the #. I hope no one has to go through all the mess us and our friends have.They will tell you one thing when you call and reserve and something completely different when you arrive. Old fashioned park that is badly in need of an update. Small sites! Lots of overhanging tree branches. If you have a trailer or MH over 30 feet, you better go elsewhere. All dead end roads and no place to turn around. Heavy airport and road noise. Helicopters taking off and landing constantly. Pull-thru sites very narrow and by the main highway, next to the dumpsters. There are a number of really nice RV parks in Rockport--This is not one of them. Avoid it. We were reluctant to try this park due to previous ratings. However, it was so attractive from the highway, we went in and registered. The park is very clean and neat and all sites are on concrete pads. There was noise from the airport but mostly light planes and we really did not notice them. The sites are small. I would recommend a view of the site prior to registering to ensure that you can get in. We had empty sites across the road that allowed us to back in easier. The pull thru site were easy to get into but as noted, are on the highway and are very narrow. We were happy with the campground and were not inclined to move. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground did not care about customer service at all. The airport was right next door so it was noisy. The owners did not try to make you feel welcome. We asked to be in a sunny spot and were put under a tree so it never dried out at our site. We could have moved but they wouldn't work with us. The roads were narrow and were dead ends on each street. They did have a covered heated pool. We were looking to stay 3 months but will not go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Noisiest park I have ever been in. Next door to an airport where the Navy is daily training new pilots by having them circle the airport and do touch and goes. Planes would fly directly over the park about 200' high about every 3 minutes. Also next door to a helicopter charter service which takes off and lands directly over the park. Office staff rude. Small sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I agree with the previous review on all counts. Thankfully, we arrived on New Year's Eve and the office was not staffed, or they would have had our money. There was a packet for us on the porch. The sites are very small, very narrow, and the trees are placed for maximum interference with slides. Even the streets are dead end; a very poor arrangement. Even though we had advised our trailer and truck length, the site was too small. The truck could not be gotten completely off the pavement. Camper next door was surprised we were there - stated that spot usually remained open because it was so small. Very disappointing. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

If you have a small rig then this is the place for you. By small I mean small. Don't try to get a 40 foot motorhome in their spaces as it is like putting a square peg in a round hole. There are a few sites at the front of the park where a large rig will fit but then you are parked so close to your neighbor that there is no walking room between the rigs, if you have a slideout. The owner has not updated this park in years but still insists it is big rig friendly. Very few 50amp hookups. No place to park your tow vehicle. To many rules for a select few. We camped here in a Motorhome.

While checking in the staff was extremely rude. Site that I reserved for a 40 foot 5th wheel and dually truck was way too small, and underwater (it was raining). This park has lots of low hanging trees, narrow roads with no turn arounds. Pull-through sites in the front of the park are right beside a busy road and are very narrow with no place to park. The park did look clean and had lots of campers. There are lots of nice RV parks in Rockport, I will not be back to this one. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean, friendly, people are very helpful. If you have a question all you need to do is ask. There are also church services every Sunday Morning right at the park. The owners are the pastors. They are great with the guests. I am very glad I stayed. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The owners and management were extremely efficient, pleasant,and concerned for our comfort. The park is family friendly and maintained perfectly. We felt right at home and would definitely return again should we be in Texas. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

We went here on the first trip in our new travel trailer. The owners are very friendly and didn't laugh at us when we obviously didn't know what we were doing when we were trying to set up our site. They helped us find a repair man when we messed up our trailer hitch, and double checked to make sure the rest of our set up was okay. The chili cook off was great, and everyone was friendly. This place is family friendly, but of course if you are in Rockport in March, you are going to find a mix of families on vacation and winter Texans, so you are surrounded by good people. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We had a wonderful stay with all the comforts of home . Nice people in the park and the owners are very nice also. They had cement lots that made it also very neat to stay there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is very well laid out with plenty of maneuvering room, although it appears tight in spots. Drives and sites are concrete and level. Very friendly staff! They assisted us in locating a part for our camper, even calling another competing park to ask if they had any ideas on where to locate the park. Very quiet area and close enough to shopping and the ocean. The best park of all the ones we went through in the Rockport area. We will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Shore Services: 50amp, Sewer good, Water @ 45psi. Wi-Fi: Excellent, I did not have to use my air cards. AT&T Cell Phone: Erratic Good signal much of the time. Cable TV: Good. Site: D-1 Concrete. Site Size: 60 ft and wide enough to put out awning. Site Closeness: Quite a bit of room between sites. Roads: Concrete. Restrooms: Cabin #1 is the restroom and shower. Laundry: Good 4 washers and 6 dryers, they have a used appliance company in back. Laundry: The equipment was in good condition, was $1.00 for each. Long term tenants: Yes, but all is clean and orderly. Directv Satellite: Great signal. Some trees in other sites could be a problem. Payment: Credit Card. Additional Remarks: We stayed here for 3 weeks. Good place to stay. Some sites may take a bit of maneuvering to get into sites. They accept mail. The owners are very nice and helpful. We just left after an 8 day stay here. Awesome! The owners were friendly, the pool was the best, it was quiet and had friendly people. Will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is about a year and one-half old and still in a state of construction. The sites and most of the roads are concrete. They appear wide when you look at them, but appearances are deceiving. Our site was not wide enough for a triple slide to have the awning out because of trees on both sides. Also it was not easy to back into. It took one of the owners five or six tries to get into the site after I was unable to get into it. We stayed here for week and met some nice people. We plan to return next year but to a different site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

New Park - Phase 1 almost finished, Phase 2 with 50 to 75 additional sites in the works. Cabins, 7 or 8 available located in Phase 1 with lots of shade. Owners working very hard to finish phase 2 and landscape all of park. Watch this one, going to be a great park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice new park with concrete paved road and pads. Well done and landscaped with a mix of live oaks and palms. The roads are a little narrow but not a problem. Small rec room and laundry. It was mainly set up for fishermen with several long term rigs and boats. Some highway noise and the Wi-Fi is spotty along with the AT&T cell service. The owners aren't always around but there is cell phone number for them. We were here for the winter. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, friendly park with beautiful shade trees. The sights vary a lot in accessibility and size but the staff was accommodating and even let us combine two small sites to allow us to stay. It is popular year round with a convenient location in town and across the Fulton Beach Road from the Bay and their private fishing pier. No Verizon cell signal unless you walk up to the road at the park entrance and Wi-Fi is extra with an outside provider at $8.99 a week 3.99 a day but very fast. The laundry was average, the bathrooms were clean but in need of some fresh paint with small stalls and showers. The live oaks provide a shady wooded sight that appeals to me but there were some tight turns and overhanging branches to deal with. Overall I felt it was an excellent location and one of the best if not the best in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I have stayed here numerous times. It is the most shaded RV park in Rockport. However, many of the trees will drip sap on your trailer and truck in late Spring. Their bathrooms are mediocre. When it rains, you can get a lot of sand in your RV because your are camping in sand basically. However, it is a great location on Aransas Bay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. I have stayed there as much as a week at a time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Monthly space rent is for 28 days, not month to month. I found this odd. 3 huge speed bumps and tree branches still need trimming. Some concrete pads and some grass. Shower room wasn't heated very well. Dryers were not working due to a power problem conflicting with the Wi-Fi antenna. Space rent is about normal for the area. The shore isn't far. Mosquitoes were bad and the county does spray. Boat parking available. Great grounds crew. Clean rec room. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I raised my ratings from a year ago. They tore down the old clubroom and it looks much better. It is a great older park in a prime location. Great pier. Previous reviewer stating Rockport is a police state is totally wrong. I can drink with the best of them but I don't drive or miss-behave. The people and the police in Rockport are very friendly. As always in Rockport watch out for low hanging oak trees if you have a really high profile RV. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground has a wonderful location..especially if you like taking walks along the ocean, or if you like biking to and around town. Most spots are quite big and most are shaded. About 1/3 of the sites are clean with concrete pads and roads. The other 2/3 tend to be dusty because the roads and sites are gravel/fine sand. The washrooms and laundry facilites need updating but work for the most part. The park is somewhat 'older' and if you are a stickler for cleanliness and upkeep, then this is probably not a park for you. Sites close to the #35 have a fair bit of highway noise. The Wifi (just over $32/mo) worked well as did the cable. We checked out many of the other parks in the area but would end up staying here again, even with the park's shortcomings, because of its location. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Enjoyed our stay. Check-in was pleasant and friendly. Liked the trees on the park. Swimming pools were clean. Places to sit and look out into the bay. Easy access to local attractions. Laundry room was clean. The only reason we gave an eight on the park rating was due to our campsite was a little too close to the other sites. Not all of the sites are like that however. They have some more premium sites so you may want to ask. Overall, though it was a very good stay, and we have been back since. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We loved this park. It has great roomy sites, paved and grassy, with lots of huge old live oaks and shade trees. Cable worked well, beautiful view of bay from park and dock across the street from the rear entrance. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The facilities do need updating, but given the fantastic sites this was not an issue. Many Winter Texans here. We paid $4 a day for WIFI. We will return and are considering making this one of our destination parks. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Well laid out older park. Level gravel sites that are just a little tight if they well full. Pier across the street with a bait stand. Food at nearby Alice Faye's was really fresh. Honestly this place would have received a 10, however, it is in need of some updating and repairs at its meeting facilities. Anything you could want shopping wise is nearby, Walmart, Walgreens, etc. We will definitely stay here again. One note is if you have a big tall rig there are many oak trees in the park that you will need to be careful of. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
