One of 3 campgrounds in the Angelina National Forest, the other 2 being Caney Creek and Sandy Creek. Water spigots available but no hook-ups. Generators are allowed -- quiet time is from 10PM-6AM. Small lake (~9 acres) with swimming area roped off. Small creeks from springs located throughout park. No playground. Some campsites with grill and/or fire ring, lantern hook, asphalt driveways. First come, first served. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a great COE park. The sites are well spaced with plenty of room. Many sites are on the water. There are shelters with RV hookups. There are both 30 & 50 amp sites. The park has a swimming area and 2 boat launches. We camped here in a Motorhome.
i have stayed here many times in my RV. I LOVE this campground. I wish they had sewer hookups and Wi-Fi but despite that, i will continue to stay here. It's very family friendly and safe. There's not a swimming area close by. You have to leave the RV park and drive around to the boat ramp to access swimming. They have a nice playground and paved roads to ride bikes on. The fishing is very good and most of the park is shady. Restrooms and showers are usually very clean. Great park! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Park is on Lake Sam Rayburn. It has boat ramps for the fishermen and separate swimming areas for the kiddies. Overall, the park was very clean and the people very nice. All sites are shady. It was quiet and a great place to unwind for a few days. We camped here in a Motorhome.
