Simple, but well kept KOA. Offered free "Continental breakfast" of muffins, hardboiled eggs, and other such baked goods you'd usually get at the Sam's Club or BJs. Bathrooms could use updating. While very clean, they appeared to be some type of modular building that was retrofitted with lined shower stalls. The stalls are rather small although they incorporate a seat. Sufficient bathroom shelf space but the mirror is too low for tall folks. Overall, this KOA is a known entity in the middle of nowhere. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

There are options for technically much nicer RV parks very close to this one. However, there's something about this place that really feels good. It's old, it's spacious, it has a lot of eccentric character. It even has a creepy pool. The owner is friendly and realistic, and asked us to keep the dogs on leash, because many folks pull up and let their dogs just run. And since there were only 2 other motorhomes in the entire, very large park - it would seem that would be the thing to do. But no. Very Pet Friendly. Only 30 amp and we didn't care. The park host is the highlight. In this large barren park, he is genuine, helpful, entertaining, and respectful all at once. Make sure you have some time to talk to him. Otherwise, there's no real logical reason to stay at this park. As for the rating, 4 stars goes to the lower than average condition of the park, and 5 to the service provided by the owner and host. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The sites are open and level. Yes, there are trains but only 2 the entire time we were there, none at night. Follow signs to Green River State Park Campground and go just 200 feet past that entrance to find AOK on the right. Signage for the State Park is large and distracting, making it hard to notice AOK's sign. There are no cottonwood trees to dodge either. Nice folks. We will stay every time we pass through the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunday, May 5 – Goblin Valley State Park, Utah This campground is off of route 24 about 20 miles north of Hanksville, Utah then follow the signs in. Very well marked! The GPS may take you on an unpaved road but don’t go that way follow the directions using the signs. All roads in are paved. It sits in the San Rafael Reef and the landscape is different with sandstone goblins that look like they are from outerspace. The movie Galaxy Quest was filmed here. There are 24 sites without hookups but the bathhouse does have showers. The campground is surrounded by rocks to protect the sites from the wind but the sand can still blow. One can hike or drive to the observation point to view the formations and even walk the steps down to get a closer view. All sites are paved with a screen picnic table. There are exhibits at the Visitor Center, an OHV stage area and an amphitheater. It was a stopover for us and a great place to camp. $16 a night and all sites were taken so one might want to reserve a site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Basic, rustic campground in beautiful setting with trails starting in the campground. Sites are mostly widely spaced, concrete backins with fire rings, grills, and shaded picnic tables. It can be very gritty when the wind picks up. No utilities (there is potable water and a dump at the campground, but we did not use either). No cell phone service. The closest signal was on the entry road at intersection of Temple Mountain Road and Goblin Valley Road; there is a parking area at the intersection. No wifi and no satellite TV, as the mesa to the immediate southwest of the campground blocks the sky. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a few nights. The campground is nestled up in a cove against the mountian. It is a wonderful area for your kids to climb and venture in the goblins and little hills. At every campsite they have a firepit and a covered awning. All the roads are paved. They have a dump station at the campground. This is a very family active area. I had to give this a lower rating beause they do not regulate the speeds people drive. I thought the employees at the park drove too fast. The Valley of Goblins is very close. There is also another hike for your family outside the park called Little Wild House. It is about 4 miles away. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Okay, convenient overnight stop. Sites are long pull throughs with room for not unhooking tow vehicle. The park is all sand, gravel, with a few scrub weed bushes. There is a children's play area and tent site combination. Some work campers . Water good, electric a little weak for large coach on a hot day. Wifi not good. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nondescript KOA in the middle of nowhere. Perfectly OK for a night. Level gravel sites, good cable and Wi-Fi. Owners are trying to grow grass and trees and place definitely looks better than the competition. Right across the street from the John Wesley Powell river museum, which is worth visiting. Good film and lots of exhibits on the Utah/Colorado river systems. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The CG was about a mile off the interstate but was very quiet with no road noise. We were given a map to our FHU pull through site. It was dead level despite being mostly hard earth. There was lots of wonderful space between wide sites, grass and a pleasant amount of trees. The bathrooms and laundry were older but very clean. The office staff was very pleasant, including the owner, met as we enjoyed our free breakfast of hardboiled eggs, coffee, and bought pastries. The owner had designed the free, very fast, and easy-to-access WiFi system. We would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very pretty state park with large spacious sites. Restrooms/showers were clean. We stayed 4 nights and would stay here again if in the area. The only down side of the park is the train noise at 11pm, 3am & 5am. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, well maintained park. Usually quiet except when the trains came by. We stayed here and then drove down to Arches and Canyonlands. This park is better than most of the trailer parks in Moab. There is a dump station in the park and there are several faucets for fresh water. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Price reflects 7 days stay. There are 100 ft pull-through sites in the back. Easy in and out with a 25 ft HDT and 35 ft trailer, but do have to be careful of low hanging branches. Did hear a little road noise and some train horns during the evenings and early mornings, but otherwise quiet. Did have two evenings we had to close our windows due to acrid smelling campfires. 66 channels of great cable TV. Wi-Fi was worthless. Put up our outdoor antenna and it helped some of the time, but not all of the time. Found out the best time to get on-line was 1 AM to 6 AM. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park has gravel road ways and sites. This is a desert area and they have tried to grow grass between the sites but it is not succesful. The sites are level and easy to get into. The sites we had were long enough that we did not have to unhook. They had discounts on fuel available, the fueling was right outside the park along with a rv and car wash. We would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Well maintained campground. Road is paved but the pad is gravel, level pull throughs with good big rig access. Very quiet with space and privacy around the RV, shade trees, grass and picnic table. Bathrooms are clean. Lovely dog walk area with pick up bags. Wi-Fi and cell are great. There is a gas station, small grocery store and RV/car wash adjacent to the campground. Not many food stores or good places to eat, but its a good base for sightseeing. We would stay here again. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.
