Park was about 7 miles out of Moab. You can see some distant arches. Sites were gravel. We stayed in a premium site facing the arches. Area is dusty and a little noisy because there are plenty of ATVs running around. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you are into OHV's this is the place for you. If not find another park. Basically a gravel parking lot with 4 wheelers everywhere. The one plus is that it was right across from the road into Canyonland NP. In my opinion it was way overpriced for what it offered. Would avoid if I had other choices. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is very busy most of the year. It is about 10 miles north of Moab off a busy highway. The price reflects their "premium" view sites. We did have a nice view of some of the arches in Arches National Park and could see the La Sal Mountains. However, the "premium" sites are in a new area so essentially it is like camping in a gravel parking lot. But if you have a bigger rig, say 40' plus a toad, they will tell you you can't fit anywhere else which isn't true. The park attracts many people who mountain bike, ATV, and dirt motorcycle. The staff isn't very friendly and is very busy with the store/gas station so don't have much time to help if you need something. There is no cable, but we had no problem getting our satellite since there weren't any big trees nearby. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I gave it a five because of the space sizes. It was way too close to enjoy the stay. You could almost reach out and touch the RV's / tents next to you. Park was centrally located in the town so you could easily walk to local stores. Swimming pool and other facilities were too small to accommodate the number of units/tents/cabins that were packed into the site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We ended up here because it was a weekend, and all the state/national parks were booked. Loved the location--easy walk to town, to the nearby off-leash dog park, the Moab Brewery just down the street--but did not love the park itself. Very, very tight front, sides, and back due to all the Jeeps, ATVs, tow cars, etc. Crowded pool and other facilities, too. And rocky and dusty. Our poor German shepherd had to be dragged along to get out of the RV park to visit the dog park. Not sure I'd stay again, unless I wanted the town experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a good little campground for location. The rate reflects add-on taxes at more than 10%. The sites are very close and can be dusty. There are big nice trees. It is right in town and walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Although the park is busy, it is very quiet at night. If you are in a big rig entering from the south, when McDonald's is on your left, give yourself plenty of room to make your turn on the right at the Texaco Station. The driveway is sudden and tight. We advised two staff members to eliminate two parking places in the Texaco/Canyonlands Store to facilitate big rig entry. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Spectacular campground on the edge of a mesa above the Colorado River Canyon in the state park. Price includes reservation fee and reservations a must. The stars at night were unbelievable. Desert environment with covered cabanas at each site. It's just a beautiful place. Definitely recommend, although it might be tight for big rigs. No showers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you have a big rig, please look elsewhere. We were in site #2. Fairly easy to back in, but due to the red dirt that is more like sand and the bugs we could not sit outside. The rest of the sites are highly questionable for big rigs. For class C's it will work fine. Some of the sites have the electric on the passenger side, or way at the rear of the site. Real shame since the view (from some sites) of Canyonland is great. Nearest shopping is 30+ miles away in Moab. We would not stay here again, even in site #2. Staying in Moab would be far better. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The campground was a good one for smaller vehicles. Class C motorhomes and tents would be fine. We managed with a 40' class A. If you really want to camp here you can make it work fine. We were in site KA-18 which is one of the more level sites for a big motorhome. Restrooms were very clean. Campsites were well maintained. Best thing about the campground is the proximity to two great parks. The Dead Horse Point State park has a lot of fantastic vistas and scenic views we would have otherwise missed. It is very close to Canyonlands National Park and made it easy to drive over their to see it. The big disadvantage is that it is 30 miles from Moab and 21 miles from Arches National Park so it is a tradeoff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A great campground. Plenty of room and level sites. We were here during one of Moab's busiest weekends of the spring and the campground was completely full. But it was still quiet overnight and we never felt crowded as there's lot's of room between spaces. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground in my opinion, one of the best that BLM offers in this area. Spacious sites for different lengths, lots of restrooms, and great views. It is a dry camping area with no water, dumping, or electric. With a rate of $6 for seniors with Golden Age Pass, it's hard to beat the price. It's a short distance to Dead Horse Point State Park where the rates are 3-5x higher. This makes a good day trip by bicycle or car from here (seven miles away). Bravo to the BLM for providing such campgrounds in an area where commercial campgrounds in Moab are expensive ($35 on average). We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great location, beautiful setting, quiet spot. No hookups and no water to be found. This is definitely the definition of a primitive site. Our water tank is small, so even without showering, we were out on our third day. Bear that in mind if traveling with a smaller trailer, especially as the closest town Moab, is about an half an hour's drive. There are vault toilets, though, and a dumpster for trash. Location wise, Horse thief has great access to Canyonlands and Dead Horse. We didn't see a ranger the entire time we were here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful BLM campground. There is are no hook-ups (electric, water, sewer) and there is no water or dump station. There are clean pit toilets. Nevertheless this is a pleasant place with level, gravel campsites for boon docking. The view of the valley and the red rock cliffs is outstanding. There are several hiking trails of a mile or so leading from the campground. This is a very nice BLM campground in a beautiful rural setting. There is a nearby lake that offers fishing. The $6 rate reflects the rate charged for holders of the Golden Age pass. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great KOA just south of Moab. If you want to see the Moab sights and also have peace and quiet, this is the place for you! No road noise, no trains! The KOA is spread out and unlike other campgrounds in town, our site was not on top of our neighbor. The sunsets are beautiful here too. We would definately stay here again. We were pretty disappointed in this park. Sites in the electric and water only were very narrow. I had to pull the trailer so far the side of the site or my slide out would not have been usable. Very cramped. Bathrooms were a bit on the messy side. Some highway noise. The Wi-Fi was fair at best. Very slow. There are a lot of choices in Moab and next time we will look around. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The only good things I can say about this park are that, with Camp Club discount, it's cheap, the water pressure is good and the owners and/or managers are friendly. Otherwise, most of the RV sites (as opposed to tents or truck-campers) are in a gravel parking lot. It's dusty and not appealing; we had a picnic table at our site on a concrete pad, but it was inconveniently located for a fifth wheel (it was toward the front of the rig, would be fine for a motorhome). The noise from the highway is very loud, even with AC running nearly non-stop. Our voltage meter showed wide variation in power, from a low of 109 to a high of 118: very dangerous for computers; it never did get to 120, which is normal for 50 amp power. The owner's (or manager's) dogs were running around without a leash, as were some others, despite a rule against it. On the other hand, it was cheap. But I don't think we'd stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Find the most dusty field you can find and park in the middle. At least you will not have the dust from vehicles driving around in this campground. Pet area too small for a mouse. Very nice campground. Friendly staff of workampers who knew their park and the surrounding area. Clean sites, restrooms, and laundry facilities. Reasonable rates for the area. Located off the main highway = less road noise from a major truck route. Sites were nicely sized and no problem fitting out 40' 5er with a crew cab long bed tow vehicle. One thing about sites, GRASS! Roads were gravel, but no issues with dust during our stay. We will be back again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is an OK spot for overnight. Sites are all dirt and gravel and the cars going through here raise a LOT of dust. The price is our Passport rate and it is worth that only for us. OK spot for seeing the Moab area. They do have very good Wi-Fi (free). Our Verizon only got a 2 bar without using the amp. OK spot if passing through. Plenty of other spots locally so check around. Would look elsewhere when passing back through the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The nightly rate reflects a week long RV rally rate. We stayed in the "resort" south side of the park. It is owner owned spaces that are still for sale. The parking pads were 40' x 80' and well maintained. The resort side has access to the pool and hot tub which is very nice. The landscape is still being installed, but what is there is very nice. There are two fenced dog runs that are well maintained grass. The sites on the north side of the park are the original sites. While they are decent as well, they were gravel pads with small cement patios, and were closer together than the resort side. The north side sites are cheaper though. For the little extra the resort side was worth it. The park fills up fast in the spring and summer due to many off road events that come to Moab every year. The owner goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable. I will be back here next year! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed in the RV Resort side of the park. It is different than the RV Park side. Clearly some of the reviews are for the "Park" side. The Resort sites are fully paved and some are beautifully landscaped. This resort has everything. It is the most dog friendly park we have ever visited. The views are spectacular. The office staff could not have been friendlier. The value is there for a high dollar resort. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park is close to Arches and Canyonlands. There are lots of big trees for shade. Gravel pads, level, with grass in between, but sites very close. Park was full every night and also lots of tent campers. Easy check-in, staff nice, maintenance around park all day cleaning and watering. Wi-Fi not dependable, works great sometimes not all other times. Your must pay for Skype! Not the park's fault, but construction on highway until 9 PM each night, oil smell and loud. Traffic noise is a problem here. We would stay again for location and hope construction is completed. Moab has lots of traffic and overrun with tourists. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

After reading reviews of Moab parks, they all seemed to be expensive and cramped, so we started off giving this one a 7 for being very convenient to town and Arches and only $34! (Still cramped). That said, it is located right by two bridges on US 191 over the Colorado River and they were doing construction. The noise was unbearable during the day. So night-time traffic didn't seem so bad, but it is considerable. Wi-Fi was great one day but non-existent the next. Moab was overrun with tourists. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent three nights here. It is dirt and gravel with lots of trees. The restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained but not new. There is no TV, period, so bring a good book. We parked in our spot and were kicking back when there was a knock at our door. It appears our spot was previously given to someone in a motorhome who had gone sightseeing during the day. When they returned, there we were. They were given a different spot which solved the crisis but it seems management tends to be a little sloppy. Very kid friendly with a nice playground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great value for the money and the owners were terrific. As their website states, it is family managed and it feels that way, friendly and personal. They don't give the Good Sam discount but they let all active military persons stay for free and I'll gladly give up my Good Sam discount for those serving our country. There are a lot of full timers living there but unlike some full timer communities, they are very friendly people. We became friends in just a few days with several of our neighbors. Some of the nicest people around seem to live at Ron's! When we started on our way to Moab, we started looking for an RV campground on the internet. Pretty much everywhere else was in the $40 range and a bunch were already booked up. We tried calling but there was no answer (one thing is because it's just the husband and wife, they seem to not always be able to cover the phones and man the office and attend to all the other things they need to do, it seems) so we decided to drive up and hope we'd get lucky. They weren't in the office but there was a sign on the registration door that said "Find a spot without a yellow tag and come settle up later." We got lucky and found a spot with full hookups and ended up staying a few extra nights because it was such a good price and let us hike more days in Arches and Canyonlands. In terms of amenities, the sites are close together but level. The showers and bathrooms are clean and the laundry was a good price. The WiFi was pretty reliable. There were lots of families and tent campers on the weekend. It is off the beaten path of main street Moab but the neighborhood was fine. Someone else said it wasn't a great neighborhood, I disagree. I walked my dogs around the neighborhood and it's not wealthy but it's not a bad part of town or anything like that. For us, this was a great place. Inexpensive, nice owners, nice neighbors, onsite laundry and near some amazing national parks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Best value in area. Sites are close together. Many monthly folks so if you're light sleeper this will work as alarm clock. Water pressure was good and plenty of hot water.Could be very muddy if rainy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As we made our reservations just 2 weeks before our arrival, we were hard pressed to find 2 sites. It was Easter Jeep Safari in Moab this past week. So we basically had to take what we could get. First off, we arrived before rest of our party did. I checked in. One thing I wanted to check out was could we put our rigs in with the doors facing each other. Clerk said no problem as one site was back in and the other pull through. Okay. We can handle that. Well, when we got to the sites, there was no way any one could use the site as a pull through. No access road to allow that, and there are mature trees blocking one end of the sites. We adjusted and pull our motor home into the site. When family members arrived later that night, they backed in. Sites were not very level. Had a hard time trying to get motor home level. Husband and son used the park showers. First time, they said the showers were nice. Second use, showers were dirty and no water pressure. According to the clerk, there was suppose to be free wi-fi. I never could get a signal. We would like to go back to Moab, but we will look at other parks to stay in. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean CG and restrooms/showers. Well located with big, mature, shade trees. However, the sites are too close for my liking and there is no grass. I would look for a different C.G. in the area next time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Staying at this park I felt very caged in. The staff was friendly but the sites were close together and a little stuffy. My sister came with me and stayed in a tent site which was a little gravel pit. There was no grass, and it was right next to a busy road of another campground. There are nicer, cheaper parks in Moab that are more accommodating to big rigs that we will be staying in. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We liked this park. Good long pull thru sites with grass on passenger side. Nice, helpful owners. Close to Moab. There is road noise during day but it is quiet at night. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed 6 nights with friends. We both had 40 ft motor homes,. Sites are level and long. We were in site 611 and were able to use our satellite; some sites are not able to get satellite due to trees. Owner was very nice and helpful. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is in the National Park system which is about 34 miles northwest of Moab. We were actually going to stay at Deadhorse State Park and couldn't get in and were redirected to this Park, what luck. While there is no power, water or dump come prepared its a great place to have access to the south rim trail, Shafer trail and many more 4WD roads. As far as the park there is ten spots and 1 and 10 are the only ones that are big rig friendly but what a neat place to stay, we were here three days. We camped here in a Motorhome.
