We did an overnight, so could only give the 8 because we didn't use the majority of facilities. The spot, a 60' pull-thru was easy to access, but the spot was narrow and had deep lawn on the door side and rules prevented the use of our foot mat on the lawn. The 2 part off-leash dog area was tiny and some guests did not pick-up after their pets, but we did use the area, so it was better than nothing. The river access was nice, but limited everyone to the one stairway, causing a traffic jam at times. Of course, many did not follow the rules and just crossed to the river over the burm that runs the length of the park boundary. It is a beautiful park with many rules, so if that's OK, then don't miss this pricey resort park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Really, really nice park. A little tight in spots for 40 and 43 foot tag axle motorhomes but some great spots to park once in. If you have a toad on a 40' motorhome, you will likely need to un-hook before hitting your site. Internet WiFi is rather slow and poor but cable is good. This park is a really great park and worth the money. We would definitely come back! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Zion River Resort was great. Check in was easy, staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The sites and facilities were very clean and cared for. Sites were level plenty of elbow room. Pet areas were very good. We stayed here in a 5th wheel and will return. Access to the National parks was very central and worked great for us. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I can see no reason not to give this RV park a 10, and I don't believe I have ever given a 10, maybe once. Anyway, I won't duplicate what already has been said. I agree with the previous postings. One thing that stood out was how clean the pool and hot tub were. Very enjoyable stay. Park is quiet at night. Well worth the money. Our rate reflects a Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have been full timing for 15 years and this is one of the very best RV parks in the country. It is exceptionally well maintained and staffed by a very competent, friendly and helpful staff. It has a great winter season rate, that discounts each month you stay. The trees have grown quite a bit over the years and now provide excellent shade for most sites. The Wi-Fi is great with numerous repeaters in the park. There are a large number of well organized activities throughout the winter months. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We've visited over 60 RV parks. This is almost as good as it gets. A true resort. Paved roads, level cement pads, lots of grass or clean pea gravel, nice trees, but not too many; immaculate landscaping, beautiful office, store, pool, laundry. Park is not too big. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Beautiful natural surroundings and Zion NP just 13 miles away. The adjacent highway can be noisy during tourist season, but sites on the far side of the park are fine. We'll make it a point to return even at the high-end price. Rate reflects off-season discount. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent place for Zion national park visitors. Clean, friendly, all amenities and they work. Each evening they have activities. They have a van service to Zion for a small fee if you don't want to drive. Absolutely recommend to all RVers We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean, well-manicured. Paved roads, level concrete pads, small trees, grass, gravel for picnic tables. Turns a little tight for a 40' RV, but we managed. Very nice camp store and gift shop. 15-20 minutes from Springdale and Zion entrance. Some highway noise at night, but not bad. AT&T cell worked well. Verizon Wi-Fi was non-existent. Swimming pool and spa were very clean. I explained we would like satellite TV reception, and was asked if the dish was at the front, middle or back of RV! First time I have ever been asked that, and they knew right where to put us. One comment - we first tried to approach the campground via UT-9 from the east, but turned around at the park entrance because we didn't realize they close the tunnel to oncoming traffic for large vehicles, and charge $15 to do it. We decided to go the long way around to avoid this. We later followed a bus through the 1-mile tunnel in our car, and it didn't seem too bad for the bus although it had to straddle the center line. Tour buses seem to do it routinely. We would absolutely stay in this RV park again. It felt very much like a resort. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for almost 2 weeks and used this as our base for areas around Zion. It's not closest RV Park to Zion, but it is very clean, very well kept and attended, and staff is very friendly and helpful. The price reflects the nice conditions and they do a good job of catering to customers as much as possible. The price reflects discount for length of stay, so ask for price break if you are staying a while. We traveled Zion and outside Zion so this was a great location for us. We would definitely stay here again when we return to this area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

It's the nicest RV park around, and it turned out to be a great choice. The pictures on their website give a good feel for the place: nice shade trees, your choice of green lawn or crushed granite sites, and great views. Friendly staff, very nice facilities. It's a nice, 12 minute drive to the park, and one appreciates very quickly being out of the press of people in the park or in Springdale, yet easy access to everything in both directions. The pool and spa are both well maintained and relaxing. Though it's just off the highway, the the vehicle noise is minimal, and I'm a very light sleeper. The resort is far more worthy of the title than almost every other campground I've stayed in that used the term. People were quiet there, everything is maintained well, and they have little niceties like useful, but not bright lights on the power stanchion at each site. When we were here, by far, most of the sites were filled with extremely nice coaches. The only negative I give the place is the Wi-Fi, and it's the only reason I didn't give the palce a 10. It's available throughout the park, but when we were here, it was wireless-G and provided only 11 mbps; useable, but barely. They said they were getting new equipment, but the person I spoke to was not tech and had no specifics. At the price for the park, they should have had N a couple of years ago. There is a cell tower in sight, but it's not Verizon, because the best I had was barely one bar on a Droid X2, and to have a long conversation without dropout, I had to sit on top of the trailer. Springdale (near the park) has very good 3G, so you can get good data link nearby. So if you need connectivity, consider this info, otherwise, I love this place. Good Sam Discount. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Clean and modern park, accessible to Zion National Park. River sites can't easily see the river, due to rock wall, but it's still nice listening to the gurgling at night. Our Verizon MiFi could not pick up a signal, but the park's Wi-Fi worked great. Only reason we did not give a 10 was that the sites are a little narrow for our preferences. This is a really nice park, likely the best in the Zion National Park area. Great pool and hot tub. The playground looked very nice. There was even a group of picnic tables and grills for community use. The store was well stocked and they had nightly activities (although we didn't participate). We had a premium site (site #1) that could easily accommodate our 45-footer. We did back out of the pull through to avoid the branches. Branches appear to be a problem in several sites. Our site had a concrete pad that was fairly level. The rest of the site was grass and rocks. FYI, the sprinklers run in the early morning hours of the night. Our Verizon cell service was almost non existent. Their Wi-Fi was good. Not perfect, but as perfect as you'll find in this area. The park is just 8 miles from the park. I'd stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park, very well maintained, in fact they were already grooming our site after we pulled out while we were connecting the tow car. Office staff was very friendly, even came out to our site within the first hour to make sure everything was ok. We stayed in a corner river site. These are all gravel, something we don't care for, but the site was very big and comfortable complete with picnic table, fire ring and a nice big shade tree. They have a rock wall between these sites and the river, so river access is not right behind you even though the river is, but the pathway is not too far away. Sites off the river have concrete pads, lawns, picnic tables and a fire ring. Wi-Fi was great, cable was poor, limited over the air tV channels and we had no AT&T cell coverage. The off leash dog runs are small and all gravel. Our dog preferred other locations as did many other dogs in the park. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very modern campground located about 15 miles from Zion National Park. It is well maintained and landscaped. All sites and roads are paved. The pool is very large although we did not use it. Some sites have a little shade and we were fortunate to have one of those at site 4. The campground was mostly quiet in the evenings with some dog barking and pool noise. The pool noise was to be expected but the barking dog was not. Management said they talked to the owner but the dog continued to bark the next morning. Thankfully, they left that day. We felt the cable lineup was rather limited for the campsite price. There are not enough bathrooms for the size of the campground and tent sites so sometimes you had to wait in the mornings. The price reflects 7 nights discount rate plus taxes. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park has a great gift shop and the check in was a snap. We even changed sites to get more shade. The park was full of people in rented class C coaches touring Zion that checked in all day and night. Most of these people are from outside the United States so they ignored rules like clothes lines and noise. The park is clean and the hosts take pride in everything. The pull through sites are not designed with class A coaches. All the pull through sites are designed for right rear egress onto the gravel by the picnic table. Class A coaches exit onto the grass. (No mats on the grass.) Best park in the area. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used this campground as our base camp to see Zion National Park as well as exploring nearby areas. We had a premium end-site which had a concrete pad, shade tree, lawn and patio area. The grounds are meticulously landscaped and everyone here was very helpful. The pool was welcome refreshment from the summer heat. The social hall is a wonderful place to go and cool off. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Can not rave enough about this fantastic campground. Loved it. Great level concrete sites with grass area. Wonderful general store. Fun activities for the kids (candy bar bingo, etc). Nice pool. Super location for visiting Zion Nat'l Park. We stayed at 10 campgrounds on our summer trip and this was our favorite. Fantastic staff. Would love to stay here again and highly recommend it. Friendly helpful staff in the office and grounds keepers. Sites are clean and raked after each camper checks out. Grounds keepers asked if you need help if they see you hooking up or unhooking. ATT cell service was not available at the campground but about a mile west we had great reception. Unknown about other cell carriers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at this RV resort because it was near Zion National Park and Springdale. The office staff was friendly and helpful. Escort service to your RV site and they will answer your questions with a smile. We had a tree on either side of us that was touching the RV. I called the office and with 10 minutes they had cut the branches back. Very fast service! They also have daily activities for the RVers. They had a wine and cheese tasting event that I did not attend, but I observed and it was well attended. Overall an excellent place to stay. We will be staying here again. This was a really nice campground with all the main features you would want. They had a nice pool, some trees, a playground, dog walk, and they were only 15 minutes to Zion National Park entrance. We had hoped for a pull through but they only had a back in spot open for the first night. The back in spot was decent but quite narrow when another trailer would pull in next door. I would really recommend the pull through sites as they had a cement pad, lawn and much more space. Our spot was fairly quiet and the kids liked swimming, playing and riding bikes. The camp also hosted an Easter Egg hunt for the kids and had ice cream on a daily basis. They also do kids bingo and movies or some other activity almost every night. We were within 20 minutes of restaurants and stores and the views from the campground were really nice. Overall it was a really nice place to stay and very friendly staff. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent park! We stayed here 3 days while visiting Zion and Bryce National Parks. Great staff, quiet surroundings, well laid out facility. Only the downside is that the pull-through sites are a tad on the short side. We have 26-foot 5th wheel camper and long-bed crew cab dually truck. Could have used a couple more feet of room. Overall this is a beautifully designed, landscaped and lighted campground-resort; not too big and very clean. All roads are paved, all interior pads are concrete and level side-to-side with grass and small trees. Periphery riverside sites are pea-graveled, not dusty; but no adjacent grass. Pool, lodge, laundry, and showers are all first rate. They do now have some cable channels, Wi-Fi service was excellent. Only drawback to this resort is daytime traffic noise and price. It is quiet from 11pm-6am. We did enjoy our stay and will return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Can't disagree totally with other happy reviewers, but a couple of beefs nevertheless. When paying for a high-end resort, you shouldn't have to use blocks to level your rig, right? And you could expect cell phone service to work, right? And the Wi-Fi to be quick and reliable, right? And more than one of the four washing machines to work, right? This place needs some management attention, and until then we won't stop here again. Too bad. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I wrote a review a number of years ago on this park and am pleased to see that the park remains one of the best parks in the country. The sites are good sized and there are a number of long pull throughs. The park is physically beautiful and is incredibly well maintained. The staff is cheerful and helpful and every attempt is made to meet customer satisfaction. This is a gateway park for Zion National Park and always has people who have been in the park before. It is a great snowbird destination park with very reasonable winter rates. It has a number of organized activities for snowbirds. All faculties are clean and well maintained. I have been full timing for almost 15 years and this is the best park that I have been in. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful grounds and excellent staff to start with. The park has activities scheduled every evening. The park is very neat and well maintained. We had a back in spot next to the river which was great. The roads are all paved and most of the spaces are concrete. The ones that are not are very well done gravel spaces. The hook ups work well and are placed appropriately. The Wi-Fi works very well and is free. Cell phone coverage is very spotty here, but hey, you're on vacation. We will definitely stay here again. This is an immaculate park. Friendly staff, easy access to sites, and as others point out, lots of amenities. Shuttle to Zion NP is $7 round trip. Only issues were minor. Site was not all that level and they only have 6 bathroom/shower rooms. If you want to use them in the morning, you'll have to get in line. Cable TV is not available in Virgin. Wi-Fi was weak. No service for AT&T cell phones. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Check-in was efficient, friendly and helpful. We were asked how we chose the park and when we told them it was because of the reviews from rvparkreview they were pleased. This park is clean, well laid out and very nicely landscaped. We had a pull through (site 33) and there was plenty of room for both of our slides, awning, and to park our toad. Most sites are able to accommodate even the largest of big rigs. The pad was level concrete. The site was grass and washed pea gravel. It had a fire pit and an aluminum picnic table. The washroom/showers were clean and updated. We were given tokens at check-in so the showers were free. The small store/gift shop appeared to be well stocked. The managers had planned an event for every evening but we chose not to attend any. The pool and hot tub were clean. There was no cable TV but we knew that going in. Wi-Fi was included in the price and it worked very well. The park has a shuttle service that will take you to Zion (we did not use it). There are two fenced dog runs but are quite small. Neither are grassed which is too bad because our dog will not do her business unless she is on grass. (I won’t deduct points just because our dog is fussy). We had only one problem. The 30 amp service was only delivering 15 amps. One of the dual breakers was faulty. I’m not deducting points because, until we told them, how could they know? I think more RVers should carry and use Surge Protectors. Ours picked up the problem immediately. We used the circuit until it was repaired simply because it worked the same as using a 15 amp adapter. This is a good base to use for visiting Zion. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice paved sites but boy are they packed in. I had a pull through but a tree limb was in the way of pulling to front of site so talked to desk and of course they have never had an issue before. When they came to see limb I found out why. I was told that the corner at end of the row is so tight that most 45 footers just back out and then hook up and leave. BUT they get an 8 because even though sites are narrow and not really long enough they did come out and trim tree. I could have pulled through but do to corner I backed out. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay while we explored nearby Zion National Park. The facilities were excellent, personnel consistently friendly and helpful, and landscaping beautifully maintained. Their private shuttle bus is available to take you to the Zion Visitor Center in the morning and pick you up in the afternoon. They were also kind enough to load our tandem bike into the shuttle so that we could transport it to the park for the day. We enjoyed the pool area several times for a cool break. Events at night in their Social Room included big-screen football games, a wine and cheese party, and a Texas Hold-em card night. A delightful place to stay and relax. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park which we would have given a 10 except they did not honor the rate they quoted when we made our reservation. They offered 10% discount for first visit of the year and the stay 3 nights pay for 2 which they advertised on their web site. They charge your credit card a $25 deposit at time of reservation. On checking in, we were told the 10% would not be honored as we were getting a night free. This would have been fine if it wasn't originally offered by the person who took my reservation. There are several taxes that add to the rate which is quoted on their website.All in all, a pricey place to stay. The resort is in pretty good shape. The grass at the sites could be in better shape. They warn you that there is no cable and they are somewhat knowledgeable as to your dish location on your vehicle and which sites are good for reception. It is pet friendly and have small dog runs.The staff is friendly and helpful and it is the nicest place in the area to stay. It is also big rig friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is about 12 miles from the Zion park entrance in Springdale, which is a quick drive on the highway. They appear to have a shuttle also, maybe that goes to town...don't know. It is extremely clean with excellent laundry and restroom/shower facilities, the only problem was an occasional wait for a shower during peak morning and evening times. It is right on the highway, but we did not experience any highway noise. The staff was very kind and helpful, even allowing us to stay way past checkout time to have our RV worked on. The pool is refreshing, but our kids were sad that they could not use the jacuzzi (under 16 not allowed). We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground. It is 12 miles from the entrance to Zion National Park so the logistics to Zion and Bryce are good. It is advertised as a 'luxury campground' and I will admit that it's one of the nicest we've ever stayed at. The sites are mostly concrete and level. The landscaping is nice. The pool, store, showers, and other amenities are very good. The people working here are friendly and helpful. We had booked a premium lot prior to arrival. When we got to the site (a back in along the river) it was all gravel with little shade and the hookups were so far forward that we practically had to park on the street. We went to the office and asked to be moved and they a willingly complied. The only wrinkle was the site we chose was $12 less per night and they refused to refund the difference to my credit card. Instead they gave us a credit for the store. Not a huge issue as we had a few items we needed and were able to spend the credit. Nevertheless, be careful of the no refund policy. My kids and I swam in the pool and that entire area was very nice. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This continues to be our favorite park (previously reviewed in 8/08). We originally reserved one week, but extended to a month (which is reflected in the rate shown). We agree the park is a little pricey, but the amenities and overall condition of the park are definitely worth the higher rate. The park is beautiful, well groomed, and well maintained, as are their pool, hot tub, showers, and laundry. Pull-throughs are concrete and back-ins are gravel; all sites are cleaned and gravel is raked immediately after a guest departs. The mature trees all through the park provide wonderful shade, and each site has a metal picnic table and fire ring situated in the gravel, at a safe distance away from the RV. The park's Wi-Fi is excellent, as is the satellite reception (there is no cable TV service in this area). Verizon cell phone is basically non-existent, though it can be spotty in a very few areas of the park. Management is beyond nice, friendly, and helpful (including providing a wealth of information regarding local activities, hikes, restaurants, etc). Any problem or concern is immediately and cheerfully addressed (see other reviews). Amazingly, the office is open until 10pm (as is the pool). This is a very pet friendly park, a real pleasure to walk the dog. In addition, there is a pet sitting service available if you plan to be out of the park all day. Although there is no grocery store in Virgin, there is a Farmer's Market grocery store in LaVerkin (7 miles west) or a very nice Wal-Mart in Hurricane (14 miles west). There are free nightly activities (wine-and-cheese, smores, movies, etc), and ZRR also provides a fee-based shuttle service to the west entrance of Zion NP (20 minutes east). However, if you drive 12 miles west, to the edge of Springdale, you can ride the free shuttle (runs every 10 minutes) to the Zion NP visitors center where you can pick up the National Park's free shuttle (which also runs every 10 minutes). Within a days' drive of ZRR are Kolob Canyons, Cedar Breaks NM, and Coral Pink Sand Dunes SP. St. George is a little over 30 minutes away, with stores (Costco, Dillards, BestBuy, In-N-Out Burger) that would be found in larger cities. We will definitely return for another extended stay. Haven't been here in 5-6 years and it was one of my favorites resorts. Grounds are manicured, they brush the rocks smooth, have grass and big beautiful trees that have grown up since my last trip. It's back on the list of favorites. Pool and spa are spotless, showers great and clean, store is well stocked with essentials and nice non essentials. This is a well managed, well taken care of RV resort and we will return! Almost every night they have activities, there is a shuttle to Zion, and they have a dog sitting service while you are at Zion. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I loved this place: so clean and beautiful. Sites were concrete, very level pull-through for us. Staff was friendly and available at all times. Great store, clean pool, activities were so great. Easy access to Zion. The only reason I did not give it a 10 was the pay showers. Thought that was odd for such a nice place. Every morning there was a long line for showers and one morning there was a fight over washing machines as I waited for the shower. Bathrooms, showers and laundry seems to be in short supply for such an amazing facility. My Verizon cell worked and Wi-Fi did too. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Place. A little pricey but they made up for it with amenities. Clean and beautiful to the point that they leveled out and raked the gravel sites when people moved out. Lots of medium sized trees. All interior roads are fresh asphalt. Sites were concrete and pretty level. Staff was friendly and available at all times. Repeat of others: Great store, clean pool, activities were so great. Easy access to Zion. Free Wi-Fi that worked well. Lots of little lizards runing around to entertain the kids and adults alike. A nice place to stay, although it is close to the road, and you can hear it at night. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. One of their employees even had a dog sitting service which allowed us to spend a long day hiking in the national park. I would give them a A++ for great customer service. This is a very popular RV resort located about 18 miles from the entrance to Zion NP. This park appears to be in its prime, not brand new but not showing signs of age. Registration area is located in the camp store area that offers most needed food items as well as a wide selection of souvenirs. Registration desk provided several items of up to date literature on Zion NP. There are a number of back in sites adjacent to the river that allow you to hear the rushing water during the quiet times, very relaxing. Although it was too cool to use the pool when we were there, the pool area and meeting hall are very clean and inviting. If you cannot get into a campground within Zion NP this is the best option in the area even with the 18 mile drive. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow: this is a very nice park, a true resort. The staff is fantastic, service is impeccable, the park is spotless, the Zion area is beautiful. When I made my reservation I booked a premium site next to the river and was very happy with it. I received 14 channels over my TV antenna. Verizon cell service worked fine as did my air card, but didn't need the card. The resort WiFi worked great. We will surely be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean park near Zion National Park. The park abuts the Virgin river. Friendly staff and lots of staff. Organized activities. Activities like wine and cheese, smores, etc. Cell service next to non-existent. Wifi weak to non-existent. Meaning we were close to the club house and the reception varied between OK to none. Trees blocked both our TV and Internet dishes. They tried to trim the TV blocker, but failed. No cable TV. Our site was long and paved, but very narrow. No room at all to put out awnings or even a sitting area. So there are some things I really like about this park and some I really don't. No excuse for a park this expensive to not have working wifi. I would guess there just is not much in the way of broadband in this small city. If we were to go here again we would have to be in a spot with clear site to satellites. I also found pay showers to be a bit odd. I really want to rate this park higher but cannot. My expectations were high from their ads touting "best rated park in Utah". So some of the flaws become glaring when you have high expectations. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our second stay at Zion River Resort. We were so thrilled with the resort the first time we stayed in 2010, we had to come back. We've recommended this RV resort to several friends who also had a great experience here. Camp hosts are awesome! All of the sites are great! Clean bathrooms/showers. The pool is awesome! Always an evening activity planned. Close to nearby Zion National Park. A fee base shuttle is available for those who don't have a vehicle to drive to the park. This RV resort is approximately minutes from Zion Park. Recommend making reservations as this resort fills up quickly. We give this resort a 15+ and HIGHLY recommend it!! This park is located about 20 minutes from Zion National Park. We were parked along the perimeter of the park and it is quite a walk to the restroom/showers in the middle of the night with a five year old. Also, we were very surprised to learn that showers were $1.00 for 5 minutes. In two of the bathrooms we had difficulty with the machines taking our coins and had to scurry to other bathrooms dressed in our robes/towels. The operators were friendly and attentive, they took care to warn the residents of a forecast wind storm. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is dog friendly and we had a real nice grassy area outside where we could let the dogs play. The RV resort is very clean, staff is friendly, and very new. The only thing I wished was that it was closer to Zion. It was about 20 mins to get to the park. However it was a great park and we took our dogs down to the river where they could play in the water. This is our second time staying at this park and we still love it. All good (I'll explain the 9 later) things to say about staying here. It's easy to get to, biking distance to Zion National Park, easy drive to big box stores in Hurricane (Hur-kin) or St. George, ATV/MTB trails close (if you're into that sort of thing), VERY quiet, people are beyond friendly, well groomed park, fire pits, GREAT pool and hot tub, great little store... the list goes on and on. Most sites have grass and a tree, their premium sites are worth the extra money. You get enough extra space that makes a world of difference. There is no cable TV and internet is slow, but manageable (few problems with Hulu or Netflix). However, given it's proximity to Zion and everything else you don't really miss the cable. Ok so why the 9? There were enough petty things that added up to a 1 point hit in my opinion. Although the pull-thru sites are plenty long (even with a toad) they are VERY narrow. Our RV's wheels JUST fit side to side. So our door opened on to the grass, nice grass, but still it made for a messy entryway and no mats are allowed on the grass (which I totally understand). The fire pits are in an odd location at the sites (I'm sure there is a reason, but it's just odd). Although VERY dog friendly the dog "runs" are about the size of a kennel rather then a run. No cell service (not the park's fault, it's just the geography) but it's worth mentioning. That's about it, this place is AWESOME. We camped here in a Motorhome.

For our rate I would have expected a patch of grass on the site. They mention gravel back-ins but no photos are shown of them so you assume gravel instead of concrete but still some grass...not so. Wi-Fi is definitely not high speed unless you are online at 2:00AM like me. Then it's so-so. Very pleasant people. Very clean and neat park. Friendly and attentive staff. Had a branch hitting my coach at night, and maintenance came over and trimmed both sides of the space right away. Rest of the grounds were nicely maintained. Showers were very clean, as was the pool and spa. Though the park is built close to Rte 9, there wasn't too much road noise. ZRR is situated about 14 miles from the entrance of Zion, and that isn't a bad distance. It's also near enough to St. George, if you needed stores that would be found in a larger city. All sites have 30/50 amps (with no dips in power), water, sewer, table, fire ring, plus close to level. We could pick up a number of TV channels over the air. Site had a place to park the tow. Roads are good asphalt and sites are cement or gravel. Good wine and cheese party one night. The Wi-Fi worked very well and speed was good. Staff was nice at check in. Staff will clean each site as soon as you leave. Road noise from street in front. Verizon cell and air card did work but was weak and slow. Sites were clean and neat. The hold park layout is great. You have a lot of nice trees and not one tree limb is in the way. Someone did a great job planing this resort. You have everything you like to have here. Playground equipment for the kids and a dog run for the little mutts. I would load up on supplies before you come here as no large stores are near by. You can buy ice, soft drinks, beer, milk, and other items in office. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Big, clean park. Very friendly staff, came around and checked to make sure we were settled in OK. Sites are gravel or concrete (pull through). Our site backed to the Virgin River and had shade trees. Site also had a picnic table and a fire ring. Park has a very nice pool and spa (which we were too busy to use) and very nice bathrooms and showers. You get your own shower here instead of the communal shower style at many parks. The on-site store has the basics, but shop In La Verkin or Hurricane if you need a bunch of stuff. This is definitely the best campground to stay in when visiting Zion NP, even though it’s a 20 minute drive to the west entrance. Management is very helpful and always looking for ways to help you. The park is immaculate and well maintained. Sites are cleaned as soon as people check out. Pull-through sites are concrete and back-in sites are smooth gravel; roads are paved. There is a lot of room between sites and each site has a metal picnic table and fire ring. Mature trees on most sites provide welcome shade. The park’s Wi-Fi worked faster than our Verizon wireless card. Satellite reception was great. Our Verizon cell phone was spotty; we had 1-4 bars at our site – 22 but no reception in the laundry room. We recommend that if you need groceries that you stop at Wal-Mart in Hurricane or the Farmer’s Market grocery store in La Verkin before you check in at the park. The RV park has a small convenience store for basics and a small gift shop. The park offers nightly activities and also provides transportation to Zion NP for $10.00 round trip. The negatives of this park are no cable, $1.00 for a 5 minute shower, and $2.00 for washers/dryers. While here, we visited Zion NP, Cedar Breaks NM, Kolob Canyons and St. George. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Previous posts reflect the quality of this park. We originally booked a 'river' site, back in for our 38' 5'ver. Site was a bit tight plus river access/view is actually blocked by a 3-4 high rock berm that appears to have been added for flood prevention. This wall limits the 'ambience' of paying a bit extra for a river-side lot. We moved to a larger, pull through with no problem. No AT&T cell reception, Verizon air card varied from 1-4 bars, based on time of day. I had intermittent 'free' Wi-Fi at my site, even though the Wi-Fi antenna was 3 sites away. I just used my air card. Pool was nice, spa was hot. This is a clean and inviting park. Pricey, but the best in area. Has nightly activities such as movie night, cards, ice cream novelty night, etc. Park was not close to full anytime we were here and we stayed for a week in August. Friendly, professional staff. A great place to stay and we'd come back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I was hard pressed to find a problem with this RV "Resort". I don't think I have ever rated a CG a 10, but this park has it all. Staff very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were clean and the perfect temperatures. Private bathrooms and pay showers - apparently due to the lack of rain in the area. I could live with that. The Wi-Fi came in better than our Verizon and Sprint Air Cards. Satellite reception was fine - despite the trees. Sites were level concrete slabs, included fire pits and aluminum picnic tables. Pricey, and this is after AAA discount. What, no casitas? We camped here in a Motorhome.

Awesome campground!! VERY, VERY clean and very well maintained. Most interior sites have a LEVEL cement pad. We were here for 6 days, we watched the maintanance people clean each site as a camper left! They even leveled the small gravel on each site, and broomed the cement pad. Internet access was awesome, great speed even when the park was full, good reception all over the park. Very quiet at all hours. Pool and hot tub were exceptionally clean and at good temperatures. Great solid 50 amp service during 109 degree days. Very well stocked camp store. I had trouble with satellite reception and they checked their data base for the site I was in and gave me ideas on how to get good reception ( the staff really DOES care about your stay). Most sites are partially shaded. The only drawback was poor cell phone reception. Wife has Sprint (no coverage), I have Verizon (poor, dropped calls all the time.) We ended up using the on-line text to check in back home, since the internet at the park was so good, we will be going back in the fall for the color change. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Overall, a great place to stay. Close to Zion and Kolab. Facilities very clean and the staff is extremely nice. Little store had the necessities needed plus gifts. Level sites with W/S/E. Some sites have fire rings (did not appeal to us at 106 degrees). Pool was nice, but gets a little hammered with the heat and usage. Virgin River runs along the back side of the resort. Great to use if the pool gets too crowded or you want a different adventure. Camp host was nice. Activity for each night was a good touch. My only beef with the place, is that you had to pay for a shower. They did give you tokens for a free five minutes, but staying a few days with kids would have run into some money (showers are one dollar per five minutes). This is a resort, even a KOA does not make us pay for showers. The trailer worked fine with this issue. There are other things for kids to do in this resort like the playset and hoop. Not much traffic noise except for when Zion travelers go by on the road (morning). Great family setting and we would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park was overall pretty nice. There was a pull through site with shade trees. There is also a grass area, picnic table, and fire pit for each site. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and nice. The restrooms were pretty clean, and the showers were clean as well, but the showers were a little expensive...$1.00 for 5 minutes! Wi-fi was available, but a weak signal throughout the park, even when standing next to the antennae. Absolutely no cell phone coverage, but they give you a free phone at your site if requested. The pool was nice, but tons of kids playing in and running around it; not very relaxing and was cloudy due to the amount of kids swimming throughout the day. There were many activities around the park for families, kids, and adults, which was a great touch. There was also a dinner class for $10.00, but I would not recommend it; it was not worth the $10.00. There is a pool table and ping-pong table as well, and the store had a lot of variety and stuff we needed for our stay. They also have a horse shoe pit and a shuttle to Zion National Park for $5.00 per person. Once again, staff was super nice, and it was an overall great stay! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of the nicest, cleanest places we have ever stayed. The staff was exceptional. The little cafe had a great breakfast. The venue is also great. The big rig sites are excellent. They even "offered" to trim one of the trees so my satellite antenna would not be hindered for reception. This was a first for me. As many RV parks would either do nothing or offer to move you. Probably if there is a drawback, it is the drive to Zion park, and that is not a real drawback. If you don t want to drive, there is a shuttle to public transport which then goes to the park. We will absolutely come here again and stay longer. Accommodated our 40 footer with tow car. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Despite not having cable TV, we are giving this beautiful park a perfect score. It is immaculately maintained (they sweep every site when vacated), beautifully landscaped with trees and grass, and the staff is wonderful. The streets are paved and the sites are cement and level. Free WiFi at site is exceptional. The showers are some of the nicest we have seen. We also took advantage of 'Ultimate Detailing' to clean and wax our rig on site efficiently and reasonably (thanks to them and their crew). The park is conveniently located to Bryce, Cedar Breaks and Zion. We would love to return and stay longer next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an upscale place. The parking places are concrete with grass in between. The facilitites are nice and kept current. It is expensive though, like everything in Utah, it is taxed heavily if you are from out of state. WiFi is available but it is slow and depending on how many rigs are here, it is very slow. Very well organized RV park. Staff is very helpful and park features are complete. There is no cable TV but they disclose that situation on their website. We stayed for two extra nights for a total of 9 nights and enjoyed the park very much. Yes the pads are narrow concrete, and you step into green grass from your door, but this is red dirt country. The design of paved roads, paved pads, good grass cover, and rock cover in other areas mean no red dirt in the rig. There are very few RV parks that we have enjoyed more than this one. This is the best RV resort we have ever stayed at. It's beautiful, clean beyond imagination. The staff has been very friendly. The washrooms are amazing with large private showers, plus toilets. Our site has grass, concrete and stone landscaping. We booked in for 3 nights and ended up staying 8. The WiFi is the best we've had at an RV resort. Not a single complaint and believe me for us that's a first. We will return many times. It's actually nicer than the web site shows it. It's also really close to Zion National Park, a magnificent place to visit. Other RV park operators should visit Zion River Resort to find out how to do it right. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a new park and I am surprised that they made the roads so narrow. It is very hard for the larger rigs to turn to enter and exit their sites. The sites are concrete, however the concrete is way too narrow, barely fitting our tires on side to side. Our front steps let you down onto lawn instead of concrete due to the narrowness of the site. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. When we arrived, there were about 10 low hanging tree branches that either hit our slides or prohibited our awning from being used. The staff quickly trimmed them upon my request. (A better thought would have been to alreay have them trimmed.) The Wifi in this park is very poor. We are located about 150 feet from an access point with direct line of sight. Yet the signal is very poor and shifts between 1 and 3 bars randomly. Sometimes the access just dies and nothing happens for some time. There are access points scattered around the park, but none are any stronger for me. There is no cell service here without a signal booster. Even then, it is poor. The park has cable tv connections, but no cable tv! You have to rely on over the air signals which are very poor. No major networks are available, only BYU tv which isn't much. Overall, for a new park, this is a major disappointment. We are not sure we would stay here again just because of the tight spaces and poor TV & WiFi. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground has a lot of little extras that most do not have, which was nice. The only reason we are not rating higher is due to the "tight" roadways and spaces. It is big rig friendly and you will be able to maneuver through, but be patient because there will be backing up involved, even if you pay extra for the pull-thru sites. The paved pads on the pull-thrus are just big enough for your rig, no extra space at all. This is a very family friendly park, if you are looking for a quiet park this may not be the park; but on the other hand, if you have children, this is the place to be! The internet worked very well, the store is well stocked, the place is very clean, the staff were helpful and polite. The Zion area is spectacular, well worth the visit! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here two years ago and loved it, but that was not the case this time. This park is being over-run with ATV's and the staff does not enforce many of the posted rules. We were next door to an obnoxious group who partied every night and kept us awake well after midnight. My husband complained to the office in the morning, and they said since there is no after hours security there wasn't much they could do. The same people had 4 or 5 ATV's and washed them along with their truck ON their site which resulted in red mud EVERYWHERE. What a mess! Kids rode motorcycles through the park up and down the street. The staff did not enforce the leash law for dogs, either. Our same neighbors had 3 dogs who ran around off leash. One came to our campsite begging for food while we were having dinner and left us a nice surprise on the grass near the picnic table Easter morning. It's too bad a few jerks can ruin the experience for so many families because management won't enforce the POSTED rules. Especially since this is such a spectacular location with the river and proximity to Zion. There is also no cable, and we thought it was very pricey not to have cable. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, this is not the place. I think we'll look elsewhere for next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Of the many places that use the word "resort" in their name this is one that in my opinion can rightly say it is a resort. The office staff was gracious. One young woman even led me outside and showed me a spot where it was possible to get cell connection. The Gift Store is attractive and well stocked. Parking on a concrete site with grass all around is nice, making it possible to hook-up without getting in dirt or mud. Connecting cable TV was bit difficult as the box with a cover is right next to the ground. Not much with TV reception though. My GPS took me off to the left up a narrow country road several hundred yards before reaching the park. When I recovered, the GPS then said the park was some 8 miles straight ahead. Actually it was to the left in clear sight. Since the cell reception was spotty to non-existent I rate this park a 9 rather than a 10, fully aware that it is not the park's fault that cell reception is not adequate. Price is Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful Campground! The staff are very friendly. They have a convenience store that is quite well stocked. It even has RV supplies. The pool and spa were nice. The spa was, thankfully, only about 101 or so in temperature. The pull thru's were level and concrete. Zion is only a short distance away and was uncrowded with beautiful weather. Don't miss Grafton, a small ghost town that is outside of Rockville. It hardly gets any visitors as the entrance is poorly marked. We had the whole place to ourselves. It was wonderful! We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our first visit to this park. We arrived 10-30-09 and stayed until 11-02-09. This was a wonderful location. We had a back-in spot just near the Virgin River. We could hear the river. There is an access area to walk down to the river - which we were able to do as the water level is relatively low this time of year. We don't know if you can go down there year-round. Each spot had a nice metal picnic table and a fire ring for each site. The pull-through sites are concrete and ours (back-in) was smooth gravel. The management had told us they would provide a Halloween for the kids. Though there was not a huge number of kids in the park - the kids put on their costumes - "trick-or-treated" from RV to RV and then the management put on a "social" with a craft, each child's picture as a keepsake and snacks. The staff all wore costumes and really put their hearts into the holiday. Our daughter had fun. The resort is immaculate and is only 13 miles from the entrance to Zion National Park. We found the location perfect. We recommend if you need groceries that you stop at the Walmart outside Hurricane or the "Farmer's Market" grocery store in La Verkin. The RV park has a small convenience store for basics (and small gift shop) but for more substantial groceries shop before you arrive. We loved our time in this resort and truly hated to leave. I might add - for those of you who want to keep up on your daily jog/run - we measured the perimeter road in the park at 4/10 of a mile. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Have stayed here before, and always debate going back at the $50/night rate. It's 20 minutes from the park to the Zion National Park west entrance. On the one hand, it's very pretty, well-maintained with friendly staff. But the sites are quite narrow; the small washers/dryers are $2 each; there's no cable TV, and a number of ATVs are out-and-about on the weekends. For $50 a night, I expect more. That said, there aren't any other "high end" full hookup parks near Zion. BTW: Zion National Park is rigidly enforcing the 50-foot maximum length limit for the tunnel now. I was rejected and had to turn back and go around the long way because I was said to be 6 inches over the limit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the best campground in the Zion National Park area. The only reason I did not give it a 10 is you have to pay $1.00 to shower. I feel for what you pay, you should not have to pay for showers. Otherwise, this is an immaculate, well-maintained RV resort. The management was very helpful, very nice and seemed to be always looking for ways to help you. We stayed here 8 days and it was the best place for us to travel to the Zion Park, Bryce Canyon, Kanab, etc. We were very well pleased with this resort. They had a German fest for us one night - everyone was very pleasant to ask questions, even the maintenance men. There is no cable but we enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the area. Wow, didn't think any park could rival the fabulous and highly rated Grizzly RV park in West Yellowstone but Zion River Resort did. This park is paved nicely, all pull throughs are concrete pads, sites had nice aluminum picnic tables, all sites had nice fire pits. The store/office is immaculate, the pool/spa area was immaculate as were the bathrooms and common areas, the staff was super friendly. Has a "grill" that is open on weekends and holidays for breakfast. Has camp hosts (at least in the summer season) that have activities going on every single evening. Very family friendly. No AT&T coverage but our Verizon phones worked (w/1 bar). Finally, some park understands Wi-Fi: these guys have 3 routers going that are strategically placed around the park (what a concept), never had an issue with their Wi-Fi. The maintenance people were all over the place all the time taking care of the sites (raking rock, picking up litter, cleaning the pool area etc), that was nice. There's only a couple of things that I can rate negatively on, thus keeping them from a 10-rating. #1: No cable TV is not cool, the hookups are plumbed for it and for the price, they should provide some TV channels. #2: tokens for the showers is a little hokey IMO. This place is very, very nice. We'll be going back no doubt about it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We would agree with the other reviewers. This is a very nice park with a very friendly, helpful, staff. The roads are paved but narrow and the sites are close. There are large rocks that make it difficult to pull in or back in and the trees at some sites make it difficult or impossible to get the awning out. Also, the sprinkling system gets water all over your unit when it is on. The Wi-Fi is poor and slow. The area is beautiful so if it's scenery you want, this is the place. It's a very nice park. The concerns are narrow roads and narrow sites, low tree branches, very sporadic wi-fi connections. Sometimes the wi-fi would work but most of the time it didn't. The staff is very friendly, helpful and concerned about your enjoyment. If you need your rig washed and waxed or the carpet cleaned have the office call Nick at Ultimate Detailing. I would rate this park a 10 if it had cable, I don't understand why they would go to all the trouble to create a beautiful environment and then fail to give an amenity that is needed when you're camping in a wooded area. The staff is very helpful and accommodating and the concrete sites are well-spaced. Whatever you do, do not pay the extra dollars for a river site as they are on gravel - not concrete, they are all back-ins, narrow, and you can not see or hear the river as there is an 8' berm separating your view. There is a beautiful pool and lodge with a great gift shop and grocery store and it is also very well located to Zion National Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I've spent 6 winter seasons in this park. It has always had a friendly and competent management and staff. The facilities are excellent and the park is very well maintained. The flood damage to the grounds has been repaired. The lack of cell service is not really a problem as each site has a phone hookup, and all local calls are free. The winter season is temperature is about the same as the northeast in autumn. The snowbirds are friendly and helpful, and there are numerous activities throughout the winter. I've been full-timing for 12 years, and this is the best park I've been in. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wow! What a great campground! We loved it here. The lady at check in, had the patience of a saint! We pulled into our site and was unable to get satellite reception. She was able to provide another site for us and we changed our minds four times! We went to a premium pull through site. How convenient all the sites were. Small trees provided shade and the campground was very well illuminated at night. Everything was immaculate here. The pool was clean and warm with a hot tub. They even had a wine and cheese night which was a great way to meet other campers. Their store was plentiful with souvenirs or last minute grocery store items with a friendly hello from the front desk staff. They also have a grill on site that makes great egg sandwiches, closed just twice a week. Laundry is available on site and clean and easy to use. Bathrooms also spotless as well as the shower. The only down fall is the shower has a timer 5 minutes and you have to put another quarter in for extra minutes. Location ideal for Zion National Park. Great restaurant in town by the park is the Pioneer Restaurant, nothing fancy but good food. Again I can not recommend Zion River Resort high enough. Disney's Fort Wilderness should take notes. This is a beautiful well run park. My only complaint is lack of cable or satellite tv. If you have your own satellite dish you are probably ok but as nice as the park is you would think they would take that extra step. While I inspected the bathroom and showers (very very nice and clean) I did not use. They do charge people to use the shower which at seems wrong if you are guest. I would stay there again. Price is based on Good Sam Club including over length. If you are a super big rig you will have to drop. The 70' site which they believed we would be able to fit into at 45' and towing a 30' trailer, wasn't close. These sites are not 70'. That being said 50amp service was great but no cable TV, but no problem with our dish. This is a very pretty park with great access to Zion, about 13 miles away. Super friendly people work here and there are nice amenities. Agree with others that a $1 five-minute shower is a little out of the ordinary. We generally don't use those facilities but try to check them out. Everything in this park is clean and well cared for. Grass, as hard as it is to grow is green. Nice river location, along with easy highway access and a well stocked store. Restaurant/cafe has good basic food with limited days and hours. Our Sprint along with their Wi-Fi didn't work at all for more than about 2 minutes and no cell service at all on T Mobile or AT&T. This is in the outskirts of everywhere and if you can get along with a sat-phone, the only thing we had that worked, you are OK. But then who needs cell and internet anyway. Overall this place is a winner. The only place that we have had to drop our trailer in two months, but well worth a trip. Pricey yes, but great people with good facilities. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This definitely deserves a 10 and lives up to its "resort" name. It is as described in other reviewers' comments and as depicted on their website, with paved streets and concrete parking pads. We do agree that it is a bit "pricey" and the $1 charge for a 5-minute shower should be included in the $50/night fee. Initially, the Wi-Fi signal at our site was very weak, but when we brought this to management's attention in the evening, it was corrected by the next morning. Also, our Verizon cell service did not work anywhere in the park. The showers and restrooms were spotless, and very nicely designed and spacious (individual/unisex combination shower/toilet/sink). The laundry room was also very clean – but, again, pricey ($2/wash and $2/dry). Management is very friendly and most helpful (including delivering ice cream to our site one evening). Our reservation was unavoidably last-minute, but we were able to reserve the last pull-through in the park. When booking (and again on arrival), we were very clearly told this site (#47) would involve a tight turn upon leaving and we might need to back out rather than completely pull through (this was acceptable to us, but very helpful to know in advance in case we wanted to change to a back-in space). There is an excellent grocery store in the town of La Verkin, 6 miles to the west. Also in that town are much lower fuel prices. The RV park's location is excellent, just 13 miles west of the entrance to Zion National Park. The NP operates a free shuttle service with two loops – one loop is inside the park, starting at the visitors center; the other loop connects the visitors center with several stops in the town of Springdale, 12 miles to the east of the RV park. The RV park has its own shuttle which connects to the Springdale loop; however, the RV park's shuttle only operates once in the morning and once in the late afternoon. We definitely will return to this park when visiting Zion National Park. We camped 4 nights with no pets. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Wow, what a great campground. We stayed here for four nights while visiting Zion Natioanl Park. It looks great on their website, and the actual campground lives up to what you see there. The place is spotless clean. They have a maintanence crew that spends hours each day cleaning the park. Sites are level concrete pads, with gravel and concrete porch area outside your door and a small grassy area at your site that is watered nightly. There were some back in sites there weren't concrete, but they were still very nice with small gravel that wasn't dusty. The pool and spa were more than adequate and clean. A huge store that sells many essentials and has huge coolers for pop, beer, meat, dairy products ect at reasonable prices. The interior roads are all paved. The owners are RVers, and it shows that this park was designed by RVers for the enjoyment of RVers. All the staff working there went out of their way to make us feel at home. The only problem with this park is that there is only one of these, to bad there isn't a chain of these. If I could have rated it higher, I would. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great place. We used this as a "base" for 3 days while exploring the area. Approximately 15 mins back to Zion. Spaces were level, area exceptionally clean, office staff extremely helpful (special thanks to them for all their help!). Wi-Fi strong from our site (#32). No cable TV yet, but then we didn't come here to watch TV. There are a few local channels via antenna. Showers were $1 for 5 minutes, which was plenty of time. We would definitely stay here again. This is our 4th visit, and as always, a solid 10. We have a 41 + ft motorcoach with 3 slides, datastorm for internet and TV, no problem with width or length or sites. The park is immaculate and the staff is A+. No cell phone but they will hook up a phone to your rig at no charge for local calls. We observed them taking campers to either the park or shuttle to the park. We were served ice cream 2 evenings at our site. This is a pet friendly and family friendly park. We will return. For those who have non-RV friends or family, they have cabins. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was one of the most beautiful parks we've ever stayed at! The folks at check in were very nice, asked my memberships to ensure I got a discount, and explained the park amenities. Park is extremely clean and quiet. We were in a premium pull through that had more than enough room for our 33' fifth wheel and crew cab tow vehicle. Spaces have grass, fire pit/grill, and table. The dog area has two kennel runs. We were a couple rows over from the office and had no problem with their Wi-Fi. It's about a 10 minute drive from Springdale Zion National Park. We checked out the park in Springdale and it didn't look nearly as nice - we'll gladly pay the extra for a "resort" park. We're planning to stay here again in June! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

First, we were surprised by the $50 per night rate, since the 2008 FMCA listed $28 per night. However, we did receive a 15% Escapees Discount. They SAY they're big rig friendly, but the roads and the spaces were a little tight. Not terrible, but a challenge, especially since we're new to the LARGE size rig. The pads are nice and level, and the facility is clean and well groomed. Although we were directly across from the office, the wifi didn't work in our rig. We had to sit in the lobby/game room to use our computer. No cell phone reception in the park. Even though there were TONS OF SPACES available, they charged us $20 to stay a couple extra hours. We find this fairly insulting, especially since their price is already ridiculously high. Next time we're in Zion, we'll stay in Springdale. The RV park there is $20 per night cheaper; and is walking distance to restaurants and shopping. There's also a shuttle to Zion right there. From THIS resort, we had to drive 10 miles each way to enjoy the Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

No problem with check-in or getting a “Good Sam” discount. Park is nicely landscaped and as mentioned in the last review, the interior roads are a bit narrow but I did not have a problem getting into or out of our space with a 5ver/TV at 47’. Pads are a little narrow and you will step out on the grass, not a problem as long as the sprinklers are not on. Very clean and neat, nice store on site. Very close to Zion NP. I have read the other reviews on this park, but feel compelled to give it only a "5" rating. It just was not quite what I expected. The big guy at the counter just had an "off center" personality and was only minimally friendly. He gave me a real pain over AAA or Good Sam membership for a discount. I finally told him to forget the discount, but about then discovered the AAA card in my wallet somewhere. This is the first time at an RV park that anyone has questioned me like this. You can get "Big Rigs" into this park, but it is not the easiest task - roads are fairly narrow, spaces are not laid out at the proper angle for easy in and outs with big moho's, and pads are fairly narrow. My biggest gripe is that you step out of your moho onto muddy grass and then track it into the RV. They should have made small concrete patios off of the pads, or, at least continued on with small rock work to step out onto. They have cable TV outlets on the pedestal, but there is no cable TV service. No cell phone service in this area, either. Park was clean and neat, though, and the best thing in this remote area. I just tell it like it is! We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very nice park in a beautiful setting. Area was still a little muddy and in the process of being resodded after the recent flood. Roads are narrow and spaces are small and a little challenge leaving. Would have been easier but jeep was parked a little in the roadway and owner was gone so we left a little "footprint" when we left. The backins are the way to go here, expecially if you can turn down one of the roads to make for an easy approach. A little pricy but close to the park and away from any towns. Nice walkway by the river. Has a cafe and you can't beat $2.00 pancakes and sausages. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We echo the comments of previous posters. This is a beautiful place and very convenient to Zion National Park. The sites are well kept and manicured. We did not utilize the pool or the showers. However, we did use the Wi-Fi and had no problems with it. We do have a couple comments - not complaints. It rained one night while we were there and we had to step out onto wet dirt the next morning due to the pads being a bit narrow. This could easily be fixed by adding a trim of the decorative rocks they use for landscaping. The second issue is that the picnic tables are at the very rear of the site, in the hot desert sun with no shade, at least ours had no shade. This could be very hot during summer. The tables are also very near your neighbor's sewer hookup. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful and extremely friendly. We would have no problem in returning to this resort when in the area! We give this place 5 stars! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived at this resort and were greeted pleasantly by the workers. They were sure to give us a schedule of the activities there in the resort as well as information about nearby Zion. This park seemed to be the most convenient to Zion in terms of easy in and out for big rigs. Many sites are situated along the Virgin River, however the banks are up high so no sites really have a view of the water. The sites along the river are back-in. Thankfully the banks were up high because there was a flash flood while we were there. If they had not been raised, it could have been a disaster. There are many pull through sites available. They held activities for children and had a movie night as well. The park was very clean and well kept. Although the park was only about half full when we were there, the 50 amp power was slightly on the low side showing in the red on my power meter. There are some nice views of the mountains and beautiful sunsets to be seen there. Campfires were allowed. The pool was clean, but a little small for the size of the park. There is an outside cafe/grill where reasonably priced food can be ordered. There is a hotel with RV park close to the Zion entrance gate which looked like it might have nice views of a beautiful mountain side, but it looked much more difficult to get in and out of. Zion River Resort was very easy to drive around in with a big rig. I would definitely come again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for two nights in July 2007. It is a lovely clean, quiet site with great views of the mountains. The owners were friendly and helpful, with lots of information and leaflets on places to hike and visit. The pool is open until 21:00 and WiFi was free and easy to access. We stayed at this campground for a week. It is very close to Zion National Park. The campground is very clean, well appointed with trees and grass, quiet and upscale. We particularly liked the pool and hot tub.The drive from Virgin to the National Park takes about 15 minutes. As others have written, this RV park is a gem. It is located within a short drive to Zion, with all the comforts of a five star RV resort. They even offer massages on site. The cement sites are big (30'x70'), all paved asphalt roads. The park features well furnished media/game room, clean pool, modern laundromat, and well stocked store. For a fee, the office offers a shuttle service to Zion NP. If you didn't bring a tow, you can park your RV in the park's guest parking lot if you get there early in the morning. The spaces fills up quickly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our favorite RV CampGround! Everybody there is there to make sure you have an enjoyable stay! In this 5 day stay, we were there for Luau Days and enjoyed a very nice BBQd shish ka bob, ice cream social, pool party. Though geared more for the kids, it was fun for the adults also. The new wi fi is very good and this 'nitpicking' complaint is bogus.If you don't need a shower or wifi, it is not included in the price. There is a wide variety of campers there: tent, cabin, tent trailer,truck campers and million dollar diesel pushers. Some may use the shower, some may not and same with wifi. Very nice park, very nice staff. Sites are kind of narrow, but not overly so. Not all sites are the same length, though - so make sure you get one that's long enough. On-site "grille" serves pretty good food four nights a week. No cell service is a pain, but they'll loan you a free phone, and if you just call toll-free numbers or have folks call you, there's no extra charges. WiFi is free, but kind of slow. Very nice campground with paved access roads and pads. Pads are long, but could be wider and some turns are still a bit tight. Sites nicely landscaped with grass, decorative stones and shade trees. Office, store, lounge, and pool area are nice and desk staff friendly. We experienced about a three hour power outage and staff were quick to inform campers of situation and let everyone know when power came back on. Some sites backup on the Virgin River, but the river cannot be seen directly from the sites because of a retaining wall. River is not much to look at in any case in summer. Good location for visiting Zion National Park and for day trips to Bryce Canyon National Park. Park is pricey, but Wi-Fi is now free, although ridiculous $1 per shower fee remains. We paid $44 per day with Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As others have said, this place is expensive. But you do get what you pay for in life. Everything is top notch. A few extra dollars gets you a river front site but you can not see the river behind the 10' high wall. You do hear it rushing by and it will cause you to sleep well. The river is not the prettiest river in the world but the sound of it rushing is nice. Our favorite thing is the outdoor cafe. What a great breakfast for like $2.00. It wasn't even worth cooking inside for us. The cook was extra friendly and made anything you wanted. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We fell in love with this place. Initially booked for 3 days, stayed for 2 weeks with improved nightly rates. Front office team; the best we've ever encountered. Patiently walked us through our first WiFi computer hook-up as NO cellular or computer air-card reception when we visited. The proximity to Zion National Park was the initial draw; however, this RV park became an excellent base-camp to enjoy the broader spectrums of St. George, Cedar City and highway 89 through Zion and into Coral Pink Sand Dunes. If it didn't freeze for weeks on end, we would winter over here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We would have given this park a 10 if they didn't nickel & dime you for everything. The park is beautiful and the staff couldn't be more friendly. The problem is, if you are paying $48.50 per night, you shouldn't have to pay $5 per day extra for WiFi, $1 for a shower, and the cable TV should work. The cable is in to all sites, but it has never been activated by the park. The TV reception is very poor on the few channels you do get with your own antenna. The pool and spa is lovely! We will probably stay here again since we have a 40' diesel pusher and there are no other high quality parks anywhere near Zion NP. We camped here in a Motorhome.

First, let me say this. This place is beautiful and spotless - first class without a doubt. But we are paying $46.50 per night Good Sam rate. There is no TV and they charge you extra for everything - in spite of the extremely high price. Cell phones don't work here and they charge very high fees for the phone service. Somebody knew what they were doing when they built this park. Level sites with brand new hook-ups, good spacing between sites with enough room for our coach and car, sparkling clean pool and hot tub, tasteful and complete camper store, professional and courteous staff - all in a peaceful setting next to the river. It's about 12 miles off the interstate and 10 miles from Zion N.P. but that made it feel quieter. This was one of our best stops. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Visited park in a 40' motorhome. Park is very big rig friendly and can handle any size coach with any numer of slides. All roads were blacktop. Park was maintained like a fine hotel. Pool & spa was great. They also offered a store, game room, restaurant & massage therapist. Sites had a long concrete parking pad with patio area grass that was nicely mowed. Very nice park with nice paved/grassed sites. WIFI worked well ($5.40/day). Telephone hookup is available, which is good because cell coverage is non-existent. Pool and hot tub were both clean. Hot tub was a good temperature. About a 20 minute drive from the park entrance, but with very nice scenery along the way. Well stocked store. One negative: My family was evicted from the hot tub because my kids had their feet in it. Apparently, nobody under age 16 is allowed in the hot tub (not hands, feet, etc.). Inadequate insurance coverage is given as the excuse. This one negative was not enough to spoil our visit. However, families with kids under 16 should recognize that the hot tub is truly off limits to kids. All that being said, we would consider staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The reviews on the park are mostly accurate, with a few clarifications. This is a very nice park, but ...the bathrooms are not "spotless" as suggested, and are showing some wear -the sites while nice, are not perfectly manicured by any stretch- ours needed to be mowed badly -the sites are not exactly on top of each other, but I did get to have a close up conversation with the neighbor- we ate dinner while he dumped his tanks a very few feet away -the park seems to be laid out strangely- awnings cannot be used because the sun is always in the wrong spot. Given my preferences, next time I would boondock it a few miles down the road with the other folks at "unofficial" Virgin River sites on the way into Zion. The wife will probably overrule me, though. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a beautiful campground. Friendly service, great staff. But, for this price, you do not expect to have coin operated showers. Other area CG's have cable tv. At $42, the wifi should have been free. Tent campers were charged $30 per night. We were there 6 nights in a TT with friends in a MH. When there were tent campers, they appeared to be part of a tour group. There are CG's nearer Zion NP at Springdale, Utah, (Zion Canyon CG) and at Zion NP that would be better for most tent campers or those that desire a campground vs. a resort. Beautiful campground with great facilities and a very personable staff. Everything is new and is top shelf quality. The store is large and well-equipped, and everything just has that "welcoming" look about it. It is not cheap, however. Wi-fi access was $6 a day, and spotty at best. The shuttle to Zion was only once a day (to Zion at 9am and back at 3pm) and $5 a head. But they do have a very good little cafe that fixed my picky wife a fish dinner that she really enjoyed. Seems hard to believe but they were saying that people come to stay at the RV park and don't even venture into Zion NP. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice, newer campground about 20 miles from Zion NP. Park is in a good location, has efficient staff, and newer facilities. Park has pool and hot tub which looked nice, but as it was spring vacation in Utah, were really too crowded with kids to use. The pull-through sites in park are oddly laid out with a good gravel path on hookup side and grass and dirt only on entry door side. Park is expensive and yet you are still nickel and dimed to death with extra charges (65 cents to make credit card from pay phone, $1 to use showers; $6.95 to use Wi-Fi. I'm only surprised that they haven't installed pay toilets! Speaking of toilets, they are located in small rooms with a shower also, so in morning when people are showering, expect line-ups and lengthy waits to use toilets. There is no CATV at the park nor is there any cellphone reception. Park had some flood damage in spring of 2005 and a temporary levee of rocks, dirt and some sandbags have been piled along park edge by river. Riverfront sites should be avoided for this reason. We liked the park but the rinky-dink extra charges and the other negatives mentioned above caused us to leave a day earlier than planned. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very nice park with great views every direction. Staff members were courteous. Sites were level and roomy enough but no cable. Internet was not affordable, one could purchase a satellite hook up on a cheaper per day basis. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Top quality park in every respect, but be prepared to pay as stated. High quality staff that love what they do. Don't think we have every been treated better. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a VERY nice campground. We stayed for just one night after visiting Zion, on our way to Las Vegas. It has to be one of the nicest we have been to. We had a site next to the river. Although we could not see the river without going down a bank, we could hear it in our site. Next time we are near Zion we will stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were here in 2003 and park is still the best we have seen. Very clean, lots of activities (if you want). Just outside Zion NP and lots of BLM land. Managers and staff are wonderful and accommodating. It is more expensive than some but we feel a good value for what we received. We are full timers and hope we can spend more time here. They have great snowbirder program. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Zion River is a premium RV park with outstanding management. They currently offer a great
reduced winter rate. We have spent the last two seasons here. Snows occasionally, but usually melts by noon. Outstanding hiking, backroading, photography, sightseeing in all directions. Great spot for active, outdoor people. Staff arrange lots of special events and activities - - over twenty of us went on a great New Year's eve night hike, Dec. 31, 2003. Returned for food and celebration at midnight. We are fulltimers who live and work out of our motorhome (In our fifth year), and Zion River is our favorite RV Park. On-site management and staff are the key. Park only few years old and the facilities are kept in excellent shape. Understand that owners are installing a wireless Internet system soon. We camped here in a Motorhome.

After being full time for two years we have stayed in many so called "five star resorts" but this one is the best. The managers live on site and are readily available if you need them and the staff does all they can to make you stay comfortable. They have a beautiful shop on site and books of activities in and around Zion National Park. Hope to come back here many times We camped here in a Motorhome.

After visiting many RV parks across the country, this one registers as our all time favorite. The sites are spacious, the grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, and best of all the scenario of Zion is absolutely spectacular. If you are interested in horseback riding, visit the B&B across the street, these are quality horses that you can ride through Zion Nat'l Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were there with a camping group and had an excellent time. The facilities were very well keptup and the staff was very friendly and helpfull. We'll go back again. The rates vary from $35-$41 per night. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Although the park is rated high, there are a few things you should know. The park charges 10 cents per minute for a phone hook-up, even for a local call to your internet provider. Also, the showers are not included in the base rate and cost to use. The park is laid out backwards in that every rv opens to the sunny side and your awning is not much help. Also, the river sites have no view of the river. You back in and the river is down an embankment so you have to walk over to the river to see it. There is a walkway around the riverbank which is public so even if you pay for a river site, you have other campers on the back of your lot using the river. The park is very clean and neat. We camped here in a camper.
