What a dump -- muddy, unlevel, and tall weeds. The owner is a JERK and is either a liar or just ignorant. We see why this place gets such bad reviews. The only reason we considered staying there is that it would be close for a family visit. We pulled in and told the owner we wanted to stay two nights and needed to dump on the way in. He said that it would be $30 per night for water/electric 30amp plus $15 to dump. I told the owner that in over four years of fulltiming we have never been asked to pay a dump fee if we stayed at a campground. He said that it is normal to charge a fee in the area. I didn't believe him and when I checked nine other campgrounds in the area, none charge for dumping if you stay with them. I see why the place was empty and junky. The owner's strange business plan seems to be working for him, but not for his customers. This guy said it bought the campground a couple of years ago. Too bad he didn't have the previous owner teach him something about running a business. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is definitely a no-frills campground, but it gets high marks for easy access, wonderful owners, and convenient location near Sugarbush Resort, where we attended a wedding. It's pick your own site (there are no numbers) and pay at the Mobil gas station/general store (at the campground). We paid a weekly rate of $160. The 30 amp service worked great. Water pressure was just ok. Dump station fine. We needed a couple of leveling pads, but all in all, we were very happy and secure here and would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
