We stayed here for the first time this fall and loved it. Woodford is a clean, high elevation state park campground in the Green Mountain National Forest. Many prime sites have lakeside views. We enjoyed some time paddling on the lake. Canoe, rowboat and paddleboat rentals are offered. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a very quiet campground at night. Contact the staff ahead of time to reserve a site suitable for your equipment. Some will be difficult to back in unless driving the wrong way on a one-way loop but that's OK. The restrooms are cleaner than most state parks as the staff have recently sanded/refinished the walls and wood interiors. We will definitely return to this state park next year! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This State Park is a well treed park at a higher elevation. It is worth inspecting the sites to be sure you can get a larger unit into the loop. No services are available. They offer lean-to shelters for those who want the out door experience. This is a nice quiet park and we would return if in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Quiet and clean. Bath house needs updating but clean ($0.50 shower), we have a 32' 5th wheel and it was tight. Great hiking near-by and spacious sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
