I was not informed over the phone that cell phones do not work anywhere in the area nor is there a public payphone or internet. There is a lot of alcohol present. The facilities are dirty and in disrepair. The showers clog up. People are charged for use of things including pool which is dirty and is only a plastic lined pool. The sewage hook ups do not properly work and you are charged to dump at dumping station. There are long term campers that are loud 24 hours a day. Refunds are not given. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed here for a couple of months to prepare for full-timing. The owners are great folks and very helpful. If you are there at the right time, there are bluegrass festivals at the campground. There are smaller wooded sites, but we stayed in the open field area which has a couple of 50 amp sites. There are a fair number of permanent trailers in the woods area which makes the place seem old. We were there during a rainy and snowy spell, so the campground was rather soggy and muddy the whole time. We will still go back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
i loved this park. The people were so nice and everything was perfect. And its only 1 hour away from where I live. I stayed there on memorial day weekend 2008 and i just thought it was great, im going back on the 4th of July. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It was an OK, Small Country Campground. The Sites where a little confusing. One road through the campground, was difficult to maneuver. With 3 Satellite Dish's attached to a tree, pointing into the road. One showed signs of a recent meeting with a RV! The Grass was not cut, due to their desire to raise some straw. So we where told from the management! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
