Beautiful location and very close to the trail head for Crabtree Falls. We arrived Thursday night and were the only campers. By Friday afternoon, the campground was full. Sites are narrow and not level. The two travel trailers next to us had a lot of trouble getting into their sites. The river-front tent sites are beautiful. There is a small playground and a run-down, indoor arcade with some children's toys. The staff is very friendly. The bathrooms were cleaned daily, but had lots of bugs and cobwebs. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Our TT is 26 ft, and we barely fit in our site, however it was really a pop-up site, not meant for TT. There are only 2 full hook-up sites, and we did not have one of them (30A + water only), but it didn't matter-the scenery makes up it. We were just up the hill, with our own path down to the river. The entire campground is under a canopy of trees. The fire pits are built up high, which makes it easier to build fires (less bending over) and keeps the smoke out of your eyes. The campground was very full the weekend we went, but people were very friendly. About .5 mile up the road is the entrance to the hiking trail for Crabtree Falls. The views of the falls are truly breathtaking. What a wonderful way to relax for a weekend. We will definitely be back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
