Very orderly, extremely neat with great hookups. Enclosed dog walk with lots of room right in the park. Management is capable and friendly. My only advice would be make sure your trailer is parked so your door and awning is leeward, or away from the ocean. Wind off the water is constant. We could not sit in front of our unit or have our awning out as we faced the ocean. Others parked away from the ocean were much more sheltered. We would definitely come back to this park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Although the sites are lined up in two rows resembling a parking lot, they are well kept and neat with each having a nice picnic table. Beach access was very convenient and is less crowded as this location is a few miles north of the main part of town. The ocean can be heard from sites. The bathroom was very nicely clean and fairly recently painted. The staff was excellent and seemed very well organized. They allowed us a very late check-out time on Sunday without extra charge as there was an event in Long Beach that day and demand for RV spots for Sunday evening was not going to be high. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good location, short walk to the beach which is great for kite flying if that's your thing. Site and hook-ups good although we would have liked a little more room between rigs. Probably best RV park on the peninsula. We camped here in a Motorhome.

"My Better Half" and I just completed a 19 month stay at Cranberry. This place is nice, quiet and safe. The busy season is in the spring and late summer/early fall for the salmon fishing and the annual Kite Festival and Rod Run. Cranberry has a nice rec room/club house that is open 24 hours a day. The Pacific Ocean is only two blocks away and downtown Long Beach is a 5 minute drive. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed in this park for many years. We like being close to the beach, the trail that winds through the dunes and being able to walk to town, and not have to deal with traffic and parking issues. That said, this park has gone steadily down hill in the past couple of years. There have always been a few permanents living at the rear of the park. This year there appeared to be more really shabby units in the park. Also the people in the office were quite rude and not at all the friendly people we had dealt with in prior years. This is an older park that was built prior to the large RVs made today. It is not a park for 40' motor homes towing full size automobiles behind them. But they are put in this park anyway. We were assigned a pull through spot that took us about a dozen attempts to get into. The spaces on either side of us were occupied by huge motor homes with their tow cars parked in the street behind them. We finally got into the spot but had to back out when we left, which took quite a bit of maneuvering also. The cable TV was good but the Wi-Fi connection was non-existent. There is no Verizon reception so our broadband connection did not work either. This was probably our last stay in this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very hard to rate this park. First the good stuff; Power is solid, water pressure good, site fairly level, abundant grass. We paid for a week and still were charged $37.00 a day. If we wanted Wi-Fi & cable add $1.50 each. I had called and made a reservation for a week. When we arrived the back in spot was too tight for me to even try to get into. The manager was nice enough to move us to another spot. The caveat being that this site was reserved on what would be our last day and if we wanted to stay, we would need to move. The manager repeatedly said that all sites were booked yet many sites remained open our entire stay. When we opted to leave instead of relocate to another spot the manager blurted out "no refunds"... We knew that already but it was indicative of the managements. Additionally, there are far too many permanent residents giving the park that run down look. The website claims walking distance to the beach just across 101? Not. You can walk, but be prepared for well over 1/4 mile stroll. This is an odd park for certain. We will not stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived after 3:00 on Friday. We could not find a manager although open sign was on by door. After 20 minutes or so a fellow showed up and said manager was gone. He didn't know where to park us so we waited. After 4:00 the manager showed up (inebriated?). Parked us and we were able to extend slide and hook ups were adequate. The roads are dusty, but what do you expect at the beach, and pet poo was everywhere it seems. It is a nice walk to beach and facilities were clean. The wi-fi was not working but cable was great (60 plus channels). The fishing was great and we will be back for clamming. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Two good things: Walk to the beach (long walk, very long beach). Watch TV; many cable TV channels (but no list so hard to find anything in particular). Many bad things: It's mainly a run-down trailer park with a few transient spaces for RVs and tents. Our resident neighbor hit me up to "watch" our motorhome for us; I didn't care for the implication, and we would have left at that moment but didn't have anywhere to go (busy weekend). Animal excrement everywhere, possibly because residents let dogs and cats roam, in violation of park policy, so don't know where they drop stuff. Lots of it around my site's hookups, I had to do things on tip-toes. Sprint cellphone did not work -- ZILCH signal. Park Wi-Fi did not work; I could see the signal come and go -- I never could connect. NOT GOING BACK! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lands End RV Park, though uninspiring (like all the other parks we saw in Long Beach), offers a lot for the price and has all the basic amenities. We were given a site for $20 because of several vacancies in the short RV section. The roads and sites are unpaved so be prepared to deal with sand and some dust. The bathrooms are small and older but clean. There is a small laundry room. There is also a portable toilet near site 30 at the far end of the park. The clubhouse was locked for some reason. It was a somewhat uninviting metal building with concrete floor. Sites 42 through 52 look to be tent sites. The Wi-Fi worked for me the second day but not the first day. The cable TV is fine with 70 channels. One of the features that led me to this park is its path to the beach. The path through soft sand was too far for my wife but my dog had a good time. So you might say there is a huge pet area here! The manager was friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Site was too narrow to deploy slide-out and awning at same time. No picnic tables and no good place to put out camp chairs. Facility had just been redone so all hook-ups were in great shape. Convenient to everything because it was right downtown, but consequently lots of road noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We picked this park after driving around Long Beach and looking at the available campground options, most of which either looked pretty run-down or were quite expensive. It has good-sized, dry, gravel and grass sites with open shade. The grounds were neat, the restrooms and showers nice looking, clean, and in good shape. The staffer on duty was very pleasant and helpful. We paid $18 with a Passport America card, and felt this was good value for the money. If we were to stay in the Long Beach area again (not likely), this would be our "go-to" park for at least the first night. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

$13 with membership. The park is outdated for today's RVs (not a lot of room for slide outs or any other camping gear you may bring). The park manager that I had to deal with was rude and unaccommodating. Our reservation was made and confirmed, but the manager failed to honor it and appeared to be creating "park rules" the more we dealt with her. We were so disappointed and offended by the manager's lack of customer service skills, we departed earlier than planned. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very tight park, and the spaces are very close to each other, but the manager was VERY accommodating, and allowed me to drop the trailer directly behind my pull through spot in the tenting area. She walked down to my spot and helped me get parked. Management was very helpful in spite of the fact a large club was coming in with 16 big RV's. It's a short walk on a path to the ocean, and not that far outside of downtown Long Beach. If you have slides this would be a difficult park to enjoy. We stayed here one night and were happy with our decision. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a destination campground. The $9/night rate is only available as a monthly rate. $235/month + electric. This campground is strictly a 55 plus campground 24/7. No children allowed period. Also please note that quiet time is observed 24/7. No loud noise. Speed is enforced at 5 mph. No laundry. If you can live with the strict rules and drive to town to do your laundry, this is a great place to get out of the summer heat (65 degree daily average) and sit back and relax. The beach is a 2 block walk through the owners property (sand dunes). Kite flying is great. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small property with a rental cabins at the front and RV pads at the rear. It is quiet and clean. Some RV pads can accommodate rigs up to 40 feet but all are back-ins and access is difficult because of the narrow driveway and trees. In 2012 the park ownership changed and the name was changed to Safe Haven. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV Park is tucked in behind a small motel. For our 43' rig, it was a struggle to get into the assigned space. The site was attractive and the park was well maintained. Overall, I was pleased with the site, but I'm not sure that I'd want to stay here again with a big rig. (I had less trouble getting out, when we left.) Owners were pleasant and helpful. Beach was a few blocks away, walkable to those who like the exercise, and certainly easy to get to in a car. The location is a few blocks north of the center of town -- again, walkable to those who don't mind a few blocks and easy to get to by car. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great hosts! Small rv park with cottage rentals available. Clean sites, close enough to walk to town. Short walk from the beach. This is a very clean park and reasonably quiet. The owner takes great pride in his beautifully manicured lawns. There is no need for mats because the grass is thick and lush. The bathrooms are always clean, as is the laundry room. This was our second stay here, and we would definitely come back again and again. We had plenty of room for our awning and two chairs the first time we stayed here. We didn't get them out this trip because of the weather. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Sand Castle RV Park is conveniently located to the beach and to downtown Long Beach. The west side of the park is bounded by the very busy and very noisy Pacific Highway. The east side of the park is much quieter as it is bounded by a residential street without much traffic. The park is small with extremely narrow grassy sites. You will be able to open your slides, but not necessarily your awing. You will intrude on your neighbor’s site each time you enter and exit your rig. The interior road is maneuverable, but can be dicey with all the tow vehicles parked in front of the rigs. The exterior road, which is the residential street on the east side of the park, is used to back into perimeter sites. It is narrow and made narrower by street parking. We found the owner/manager to be marginally cordial and overtly hostile whenever anything happens to compromise his grass. As we backed into our assigned site, a hydraulic hose gave way, which, of course, caused hydraulic fluid to spill onto the road in front of the site and on the grass. Don was incensed that the hydraulic fluid would ruin his grass as if we planned to have the hose give way just then. Absolutely no repair work is allowed in Sand Castle RV Park. Even though the tech who inspected the problem assured us he could contain the hydraulic fluid and avoid an EPA/HazMat issue, it is more important for Don to maintain his grass than it is for his customers to fix a problem and move on safely. Also, at Sand Castle RV Park, if you want to use the showers, bring quarters - 25 cents for ten minutes of water. In addition, do not allow your sewer hose to lie on the grass. You must have it resting on a sewer hose stand. Although, that seems to be an arbitrary rule since our neighbor was told to stow his hose until he got a stand, but others in the park did have their hoses lying on the grass. Pets are allowed; however, not with enthusiasm. Children are allowed; however, also not with enthusiasm. In retrospect, we should have realized that despite the "big rigs welcome" advertising, Don does not like big rigs in his park. He was openly fretting about allowing our 40', diesel-pusher, motorhome into his park even at the time we made the reservation. He much prefers lighter weight rigs so they won't ruin the grass he works so hard to maintain. We paid $47.36. One night at the Passport America rate of $14.25 and one night regular price of $28.50 + tax We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you want to know how a sardine feels, this is the place for you. The staff was friendly, but the sites are so close that we could not put our awning out. We had to back in with trees less than 2 feet on each side. It's a long walk in "sticker grass" to the beach. So many stickers in the grass that our dog would not walk on it. I did see one dog wearing boots! We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a membership park. Sites are very narrow and to make matters worse some have one or two pine trees that prevent you from opening your awning and may affect you from opening your slides. We had problems with our breaker flipping off. We complained, but nothing was done. We ended up plugging in at the site next to us. The laundry facility was very clean and reasonable. There is a nice trail to the beach. Their Wi-Fi was not working at the sites but was OK at the club house. This would be an OK park for a overnight stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
