Older small park. Staff is friendly and helpful. Several longer term sites. Good location for seeing the Port Angeles region. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is a little more than parking lot for RVs. Just dead grass, a table, and a fire pit. The RV are very close together. There are no play area for for children, pets on leach at all times. All visitors have to pay $6 to just enter the camp. We had friends who stopped by to say hello for a few minutes in our RV, they had to pay just to drop by. The staff was incredibly uncaring, and rude to them. I would not recommend this RV camp to anyone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Staff is wonderful, friendly, and helpful, but this park needs some rethinking. The pads are not well laid out, and someone needs to go out with you and show you where to park. Dump is old and antiquated, and WI-FI is slow. I really believe they cater to daily surfers, not RVs, and the full page list of rules and regulations and the need to wear a wristband while on the beach attest to that. Cell phones pick up Canada, so if you use it, you will be charged international rates. (We were told if you go to the east end of the park, you can pick up US. Open all year. Forewarning. If you are coming from the west side of the Peninsula and your GPS tells you to take Beach Road, just east of Lake Crescent, Beach Road is only one lane wide and 25 MPH. We were lucky; we only met one car that managed to get around us because we wouldn't have been able to back up. Trucks are not allowed, but we didn't see any warning signs and no place to turn around. We would probably return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Surprised at all the negative comments in regards to this RV camp. It is in a beautiful location with good proximity to the many attractions on the Olympic Peninsula. You can watch all kinds of ships going up and down the Strait every hour. Even submarines from the Navy bases. You can see bald eagles flying every day. Deer are frequent visitors. Rare whale sightings. Close access down the beach to tide pools. Great seashells and driftwood. Surfers, kayakers, and kite-flyers make use of this beach. Yes, there are sand fleas. We wore shoes, the water is 57 degrees, most people don't go in without wet suits anyway. The campsites are all full hookup. Individual septic tanks are an issue at times. The manager's keep a close eye on them, and "rest" the one's that need resting using them as tent sites. RV's are put in "rested" sites. This camp is at sea level, any septic tank is going to be slow at recovering at this altitude. The sites are somewhat narrow but are deep, and are adequate for slideouts. There are a moderate amount of mature trees in the park. The restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms are clean. Many families return here time after time. Very safe park. I would definitely return here again and again. You can't beat the view! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We chose this park initially because it was a Passport America park, and were only planning on staying overnight, however we stayed two nights. It is a basic park with gravel interior roads. They have a number of long pull through sites. Ours was 63 feet long. There are a lot of fulltime residents, however, the park is kept clean, mowed, and owner is friendly and accomadating. About 8 miles from Port Angeles, and 8 miles from Sequim. There is a paved bike path taking you to either town. We would stay here agian. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As noted earlier, this is a run down park with friendly owner. Very noisy, both the street and people in the park. I had to go out at 10:15PM, and ask neighbors to pipe down as they were keeping us awake. There are many permanent residents with run down units. We got up and left early. Will not stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Monthly rate is very reasonable. The roads are very dusty when not raining. Some trashy yearly and monthly rigs and some shady characters, and dogs running off leash. The owner is helpful and pleasant. Close to a busy and noisy highway. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Quiet park just a few miles west of Port Angeles. Rate includes Good Sam discount. We were assigned one of the new pull through sites which are large and level. BUT when we had parked we almost stepped on some dog poo on the grass pad beside our trailer. There was more than one 'mine' left. Other than that the site was perfect. Little privacy though. Hookups in the right place and in good shape. WiFi worked well with one of our computers; the other couldn't catch the signal. The roads inside the park are narrow, and there are some pretty tight turns. We are 51' combined length, and there was not too much room when making the turns. Drive slowly and carefully! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Elwha Dam RV Park is listed on RV Park Reviews as 6 miles SE of Port Angeles, it is 6 miles NW. Likewise Salt Water RV parks are 9 miles NW, not 6 miles SE. Both parks are very nice. Elwha has full hook ups, including 12 new 70' pull throughs, which are very wide, level and perfect. Wi-Fi but no cable. Saltwater is a beautiful state park, with several large pull throughs, 12 deluxe back ins with direct ocean views, and a separate section of shaded private back ins with no view. Water and electric hook ups only. Plenty of space and ideal for kids. No access after 8 PM. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I made a campground reservation for the fourth of July weekend for a Truck with a Camper and a Ford Explorer with a tent. When I showed up for the reservation, they did not honor the reservation that was taken, and I was forced to find other accommodations on Thursday July 2. In addition, one of the employees at the resort was extremely snotty and unpleasant. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Historic resort with stunning lake and mountain scenery. Unfortunatley during July & August weekends the operator allows such overcrowding that the National Park experience is spoiled. Visit in off-season and you'll love it. Helpful and friendly staff. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is CLOSED. It was the closest to the ferry to Victoria and the handiest being only two blocks from the ferry. We did actually dry camp here two days with the consent of the caretaker, when we arrived late one night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Office was very nice. Site was paved/grave,l slightly unlevel and very small. We had to take up two sites and park at an angle in order to fit which was fine with the office. Many/mostly full time very quiet residents. Steep hill down to the site, but no problem. Great site to walk .3 mile to ferry to go to Victoria. Also, great Chinese restaurant across from park entrance. The sewer system is in BAD need of repair. When we checked in, a large wet area reeked of urine near our sewer hook up. We did not dump our holding tank here as it didn't look like the sewer was working properly. Mostly just a place to park to go to Victoria. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a rundown park with about two or three sites large enough for larger rigs. There are mostly permanents here in some trailers and single-wide mobiles, but they are quiet. It's very tight and really no place for a larger rig to turn around in. You pull in and then back into your site and then, if you are short enough and no one is on your right, you can turn and pull out. I had to really cramp the wheel and almost jack-knifed pulling out that way, but I didn't hit anything. Most sites are best suited for rigs under 25'. It is however, relatively inexpensive, right in the middle of downtown and easy access to the Victoria ferry. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here in May over Mothers Day weekend, where we got one free night. Well, we were charged for the free night & only got a rebate the next day from the "office girl" because the owner didn't know anything about it or how to fix it. NO MAINTENANCE....tall grass thrown all over after it finally got mowed; weeds around office & everything else; mold in shower stalls; clogged up shower floor; owner never said hello, can I help, nothing but a blank stare. Everything looks run down, weedy & seedy. Store is pitiful. There is good TV and WiFi signal. Water tastes good. Lovely setting with beautiful mountain scenery. Too bad this promising park is not being loved and cared for properly. The $42 is way too high of a price, but it is close to the Victoria ferry (7 miles West and no shuttle service). We would stay here again if the price was cut in half. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The only thing good is proximity to Coho Ferry. The park is in need of attention. No gravel in sites, so when it rains, they are swampy. We have been here 3 times, and there is never anyone in the office. Rates are far too high in the winter season considering what is offered. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was basically dirty. The trash was not collected; the game room floor was just dark with dirt; the pool table was not working. There was very little mowing or trimming. The shuttle bus not working. It's like a once grand old house that has been neglected. The premium sites are ok but very expensive. We would not want to stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This county campground is extremely popular in the summer, when reservations are highly recommended. During the off season it is quiet and peaceful. There are two camping areas. An upper area (where we stayed)offers spacious, but not at all private, electric/water hookup sites with fantastic views of the Juan de Fuca Straits. The lower campground offers more primitive sites amid tall evergreen trees. These sites have more privacy and easy access to some interesting tide pools. There are flush toilets and showers, but given the number of campsites and the popularity of the campground, it would be nice if there were more showers available. Be advised that this is a no-alcohol campground. Signs were prominently displayed that no alcoholic beverages are allowed. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park. We stayed in the front row of the open sites with a great view of the Strait of Juan De Fuca. There are 3 tiers of back in sites in this area with a view. Our satellite worked fine, the drive through and other sites are in the forest and not as good of a view. There are 3 sets of stairs that go down to the small beach and tide pools. We would stay here again for sure. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Don't know why this park has not been rated before. We visited all the parks in Port Angeles area: not many good options. Yes, the county park is ok but very noisy. This park is great, off the main hiway, and very quiet at night. Close to all the places one wants to visit. The owner is a great guy. The nightly rate is $24, but the weekly rate is $95, a great deal when the rest of the parks around are about twice that. Yes, there is a lot of full time residents, but they are very laid back and tend to keep an eye on things for you when your out exploring. WiFi was great. Has satellite TV and internet great. Verizon cell excellent. We would highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Extremely clean and well-kept park. Other reviews mention road noise; didn't find this disturbing. Older review also mentions aging plumbing that left orange stains on clothing. We did 5 loads of laundry and had no such experience. We did notice an odor of sulfur in the water, not unusual considering the proximity to Sol Duc Hot Springs in Olympic National Park. Owners were watchful but not disagreeable. We were grateful for their oversight of the facility. Had one minor problem with a toilet in the men's room, which the owner immediately addressed upon notification. We loved the look of the place compared to other campgrounds in the area and would definitely stay here again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A nice, older campground on a hillside near lakes Crescent & Sutherland. We fell in love with Crescent Lake as we were driving East on 101. Stopped at this campground to be close to lake activities. I can understand the issues campers have had with the longer coaches & short spaces here. Some spaces on the front row 37 & 40 are 44' long with room to put the toad sideways in front. Spaces 2-5 are 70' long. We could not level on 3 & only got close on 2. We watched a coach give up on 4 & move to 40 where it is tight but level. The gentleman even purchased leveling blocks from the camp store before he moved spaces. The staff was very helpful even when we needed to change spaces. Must agree with prior reviews we have noticed the road noise at night when the truckers are rolling. I can vouch for the burgers & fresh cut fries at the deli. Pricey but really good. Ice cream cones looked delicious & very generous. The specials seem to be the good value. The store has staple items + some camping needs and gifts. Owners are ready to sell the campground, and are a bit fussy about the unusual 1 way road which isn't marked as to where 2 way resumes. and, also apparently as mentioned with kids & pet owners. Not sure we would return here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here because it was the only campground we found in the area offering nearby food service; the store had a grill - the hamburgers were pricy but great. The campground was noisy, as it was adjacent to the highway. The truckers often used their jake brakes, making it even noisier. My major complaint was with the showers. I was undressed, in the shower, turned the water on -- oops, no water. Then, thanks to another guest, I discovered it was a pay shower. Nowhere in the advertisements or literature does this fact get mentioned. I do not typically carry money to the shower, so had to abort the process and get redressed. Very inconvenient--would highly recommend that this fact be communicated to guests. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
