We stayed here previously when tent camping, and came back with our new travel trailer and the kids. Very nice treed park, with lots of privacy and room. About 1/2 of the sites have hookups, the other don't. But all are nice. The rangers are very friendly and want to be sure the park stays nice. I didn't run into any of the comments of the rangers that others have listed and have stayed here twice recently. There is a nice little camp store at the gate office. A nice little beach too. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very pretty park, however, I agree with the previous reviewers comments about the "babysitting" rangers. We felt they were a bit OVER zealous in their enforcement of the campground rules. There were signs posted all over the park threatening tickets and fines for everything you could think of -- including a huge fine for not adhering to the 1pm checkout time. We found it a bit unwelcoming. I understand the need for rules, but in 15 years of avid camping I've never been to a park that was so strict about every little thing. We were even told to turn our radio off COMPLETELY during quiet time, even though it was sitting a few feet from us and the volume was VERY VERY LOW. They implied that we were bothering the neighbors, which really surprised us because at that time we just happened to be having a somewhat deep conversation. We'd been talking in low tones and not laughing loud or anything. Luckily, we had already become friendly our neighbors when the first arrived, and when we inquired the next day and offered an apology -- they said quite sincerely that they didn't know what we were talking about and that they hadn't heard a thing. Go figure! I was actually a little relieved to read the previous review since now I know it wasn't just us who felt that way. I guess if you want the quietest campground ever, this place is for you. But if you have kids and dogs and you want to sit around the campfire and chat after 10pm, you might consider another location. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Space #17 - Seemed to be one of the best in the park it was a pull-through and gave no problems to our 28 foot 5th wheel we pull with a longbed Chev truck. My sister's family had #18 and managed to get their 29 foot 5th wheel backed in and their slides pulled out but not much room to walk around the trailer to the back where the firepit and picnic table was. We also had a 10x10 tent on our site with the picnic table and our awning pulled out made for a cozy spot. The 10pm quiet rule is strictly enforced by a Ranger, who had to come and let us know to keep it down, we laugh loud. However, the park and bathroom shower areas are cleaner than most others. I did feel like we were being "babysat" when the Ranger and Host kept driving through the park about every 15 to 20 minutes. If you like a quiet, "by the book" park this place is for you. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
