This is an updated review. The motel and park have been under new management for almost a year. The rate I am showing is the rate before Good Sam discounts. The RV park is located behind the "vintage" motel. When I stayed there before, there were a couple of permanent "customers" that did not give me a good feeling of being safe. Those "customers" are gone now. Although there are still a lot of perms there, they keep a few slots open for overnighters. However, I don't recommend this for big rigs. There are three good reasons to stay at this park: 1) great access to a bus line with frequent service to downtown Spokane; 2) good wireless; 2) free phone hookups. On the phone hookups, each site has a hookup (if you carry a phone with you), and it's free (included in the price) as long as you make only local calls (have to dial "9" first...) and use a phone card for all your long distance calls. However, for someone to call you, it's handled through the motel, someone calls the motel and asks for your "extension." I liked this feature, this way, I didn't have to use up minutes on my cell phone. The wireless worked just fine. When you connect, your computer may tell you it's a "low" signal, but it worked just fine for what I needed. If you don't have a computer, or don't have Wi-Fi, you can check your email in the business center in the office. The cable still has limited, but good channels. The owner also explained the laundry charge. I hope I understood this correctly. It's one flat rate for you to check out the key, and you use as many machines as you need. I don't know if this flat rate gets you in for the duration of your stay, or if it's a new charge for each day you use the machines. I didn't use the laundry facilities, but that is what I understood from the owner as to how it works. The not so good points are that the slots are very close together and not really level. I still recommend a voltage meter to check the electrical hookups, as the hookups are rather... "vintage." The owners are very nice, and their office is open very early in the morning to very late at night. Despite its few not so good points, this park is very convenient if you wish to visit relatives in Spokane or attend a function at the Spokane Fair Grounds. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a motel/RV Park combination. The motel consists of "vintage" bungalows, with a small RV park in the back. The RV park appears to have some full-timers with "vintage" RV's. I have stayed here three times, and the third time (June 2007) this place had a new owner. There is a laundry facility, but you have to request the key from the office. Laundry prices were significantly higher than at other RV parks. There is a laundry-mat one block over if you want to walk. I didn't check prices, but I'm sure the prices are cheaper there. The good news is: EXCELLENT Wi-Fi. The bad news is: a Voltage meter is highly recommended! The electrical pole (30 amp) does not have an on/off switch, you just plug in. When I did so, I definitely heard some arc and spark noises! (Like I said, this is a "vintage" place.) GOOD POINTS: 1. Cable TV has a limited number of channels, but it's basically networks and good premium channels (USA, TNT, Discovery, Hallmark, etc.), no JUNK channels. This is the first time I didn't have to "eliminate" channels after programming. (However, I didn't see an ESPN channel, so if that's one of your favorites, sorry.) 2. McDonald's and Jack In The Box just a few steps away (if you like fast food). 3. Located on a bus line with frequent service to downtown Spokane. 4. Good Wi-Fi (as stated before). 5. Office (serving motel and park) open from 5:30 AM until 11:00 PM. 6. Staff (mom and pop) is helpful. 7. Telephone connections are available. Web site claims it's just like a hotel (instant connection), don't know if they charge extra for you to use the phone line. The lobby has a Business Center/Computer if you don't carry a computer and want to check your email. NOT SO GOOD POINTS: 1. Sites were very close together. 2. Cable, phone, and electrical connections are "exposed" to the weather elements, no covers. As mentioned before, voltage meter highly recommended! (I didn't have one, hope I don't have any damage.) 3. Establishment is squeezed in kind of an "older industrial" area, around used car dealers, railroad office, and carpet store. (Let's just say: I felt the need to ensure my computer, file box, and valuables were stashed and well hidden whenever I left the RV.) Conclusion, I felt this place was overpriced (compared to other RV parks). I have stayed at highly rated RV resorts with some amenities and paid less than what I paid here. However, if you are visiting relatives in Spokane, or just need the public transportation to points in Spokane, this place may work for you. Spokane is lacking in good RV parks in convenient locations. The only reason I would stay here is the convenience to mass transit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park, small, with gravel sites. Lawn well maintained between each site, with lots of room for tip-outs and tables. Pets not only welcome, but encouraged as owner loves dogs. There is a beautiful huge lawn to let them run loose as long as you clean up after them. We've seen all the parks in Spokane, and continue to come back to this one whenever we have to be there. We spent a full winter there in 1998, and they couldn't have been more helpful. They even allowed us to mount my satellite on the back of their home for my internet back in 1998; now they have full wi-fi in the entire park. There is no public restrooms, so no tenting, this is strictly an RV only park, but we definitely would recommend them to anyone, and have. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The clerk was friendly at check-in. Pretty good Wi-Fi was available. The sprinklers were on, which gave our motorhome a bath and us too at times. The place is a bit hard to navigate with a big rig in some areas. We couldn't put the awning out due to a tree being in the way. The sites are pretty close together. You pay a lot for what you get. Waking up to a train whistle that sounded like it was in the park was not a good thing. This happened about 4 times during the night. We stayed one night and will not be going back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

OK as a quick stopover but beware...most unclean pool i'v ever senn in a public place. Reeked of chlorine and was so murky you could not see your hand a foot below water. Could not believe adults and children would swim in that mess. Wi-Fi is excellent! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Trains still here, sites kind of tight, Wi-Fi spotty. Still, everyone was having a good time. Very nice staff. Good old Spokane KOA! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A family oriented destination park. Friendly staff. Restricted Wi-Fi is free and fast. Excellent enclosed dog park. Sites are too narrow; our rig didn't fit the graveled site. Watering the grassy areas was a little intrusive. We enjoyed our stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A typical KOA very tight spots with not much room between Trailers. Adequate for an overnight stay but not a destination sight. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stay in this park every time we are in Spokane. This a very kid/family friendly park. Clean, well landscaped, friendly and informed staff. Wi-Fi is excellent. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Located beside the train tracks. The trains are loud but did not bother us during the night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Campground is clean. They have a neat dog area. Big rig friendly. Long term tenants are present. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We didn't stay here. We came in looking for a place to stay through the winter. We are in the area working and having a hard time finding a nice campground that is big enough for us to fit. The front desk told us that they DID NOT want any children to stay in their park. We have two children, 15 and 12. They have a playground, but evidently it is just for looks. I know KOA is notorious for charging an arm and a leg if you have children, pets, etc. What starts out as $35 a night becomes $50 a night, which is way to high in the first place. But it just blew me away when we was told NO children... I would not recommend this park to anyone, unless you hate children also? We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Had a very nice fenced in dog park.Very close to the centennial bike trail. The only bad thing was the train, at times I felt like I was sleeping on the tracks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is very ho-um for the price. There is dead grass at the sites and lots of dirt. The sites are close together, especially if you BBQ and eat outside. It has easy access to the freeway. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Just bring ear plugs for the trains, but this campground is perfect for families. There are nice pull through sites with full hook ups. It is a perfect location to shopping, Silverwood and Coeur d' Alene. There is a pool, clean washrooms with warm water showers, playground, movie nights and more. The staff and manager are excellent. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The train goes by within a few yards of the park and blows its whistle all night. The site was bumpy and small. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites were very narrow and poorly maintained. Picnic tables looked like they had been left out for a number of winters, all warped and splintered. We were put in front of the dump site and all day vehicles pulled in front of our sites to empty their tanks. Train nearby and it sounded like it ran all night and blew its horns at many intersections. Made sleep very difficult. Would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you have little kids, this is a great campground. I gave it a low rating because they showed an outdoor movie after dark, and it went well after 10 p.m. I could hear it even after turning on a fan and a humidifier. Also low rating because there was no WiFi, it was broken, they said. And also there were piles of dog poo at our campsite from the pug next door to us. They didn't keep it on a leash, and from the numbers of poo, they had been here for a few days. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wi-Fi is non-existent. When I called the office, I was told, "Oops, I guess it went out; try again in 5 min". I did, but was unable to sign-on due to very low signal strength. Office said, "Sorry". Park is VERY noisy; kids riding bikes until after 9, screaming and screeching; dogs barking.; freight train whistles blaring at all hours of night. If you want a quiet night's sleep, this is NOT the place. Spaces are very close together -- so much so that the picnic table, bikes, and chairs for the spot next to ours came to within 6 inches of our unit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Yes, the trains do go right by the campground, but mostly in the evening. There's also an electrical substation (I think) that hums constantly. Neither bothered me inside the RV. The sites are indeed narrow, although an end site might get around that. The people were nice, the store was well-stocked, and the pool had warm water coming into it (it was a bit cool, but they were trying). No bugs as of yet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very cramped site. We were barely able to pull through, and had a tiny patch of grass next to our trailer. The yellow jackets were so thick, that it was impossible to cook outside. Taking the dogs to the pet area was again tricky as the garbage cans smelled so bad, and the bees were there too. Now, for the best part: the trains!! They started around 7 in the evening on the tracks nearby, honking the horn, and were every 30 minutes or so for most of two hours. Then in the middle of the night: which startled and woke me to sit straight up in bed! At 4 am! I was so ticked: I was awake and truly wanted to get the heck out of there right then and there!! We felt ripped off, and we have never paid that much for any spot. So no KOA's for us!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This KOA is what you would expect with four notable issues. First, the bridge connecting this RV park to the nearby Interstate 90 exit is under construction. Thus, you must get off at another exit and wind your way through a big industrial park to even find them. This is not their fault but a fairly annoying issue. Second, the park is close to a major rail junction. I think I counted five *very* loud freight trains which came through about every 90 minutes throughout the night. This was the biggest problem and again, nothing they did wrong but another major strike against this KOA. Third, the swimming pool was so cold in mid August as to be unusable. Either it is not heated or the heater is busted and has not been repaired. Each family I observed would come to the pool, put their feet in, and then leave. Fourth, we have two young kids. This Spokane KOA charged us extra for our 2nd grader. We are newer to camping but I could not believe this. I found this $3 assessment to be the most obnoxious thing about this campground. On the plus side, the camp store was well equipped and the laundry facilities were fairly priced. They showed a movie on a giant blow-up screen which was nice. Our campsite was snug but adequate and being pull-through is nice. The Wi-Fi was so-so. (Advice to the campground mgmt: change channels on your park Wi-Fi to channel 1. My scanner found four other Wi-Fi units all using the same channel as you. That is why your Wi-Fi is not doing well.) We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our site had cherries all over the ground and on the neighbor's rig. The neighbors wanted to get their 5th wheel washed, but the bees were so thick the washer person had to leave. They had been repeat visitors, but vowed that this was their last visit to this park. The water in the showers was fine, but at the sinks the "hot" water was luke warm at best. It felt cold when you shaved. As noted elsewhere the Wi-Fi is really non-operational. This seems to be consistent at KOA. The train track is only about 100 feet away from those along the Northern border of the park. So, when the East-bound train blows the whistle it is just like being in your rig. In addition, there is a switch right by the campground, so every wheel of every car makes a loud clunk as it passes. If you like trains, you will love this park! We picked this location since it was closest to our son's home. But, we will pick a different place to stay the next time we visit. My wife also noted that the trash bins were overflowing most of the time we were there. More frequent trash pick-up would be a real plus for this place. On the plus side, they had a movie on a very large blow-up screen every night we were there. We just spent so much time with our family we missed most of them. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Ho-hum, another Koa that has the potential to be nice, but just doesn't put forth the effort. This was just an overnight stop and I am thankful for that. Sites are not close to level. The water pressure and quality was good. No wifi at your site, even though there were repeaters all over the place. The laundry room was dirty, I was afraid to go into the bathrooms. The employees that were out working around the campground were grungy and nasty looking. The noise from the trains is loud and constant, all night long. It's not the fault of the campground, but something you need to know about. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here the last weekend of July and the park was fairly full - tenters, bikers, travelers, extended stay, and seasonals. Full hook-up sites are adequate - a bit narrow and not quite long enough for leaving your tow attached. Cable had over 60 channels and the WI-FI worked fine for us. I had expected more problems due to the crowded conditions. Young staffers were not good for much other than to check you in and sell the store merchandise. I reported that there was a dog in the fenced in pool area and rather than do something (the pool is 30' from the office), all they did was ask if the dog was in the water. There is nothing within walking distance of the park. All in all, the park is a decent full service park. All facilities were above average and the quality b-ball court made it a 7 for me instead of just a 6. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is another one of those parks that advertises Free Wi-Fi available. The only problem is it only works near the office or swimming pool. As we were staying at the back of the park, this was pretty useless for us. The park was OK, a bit old, but good enough to overnight in if the Wi-Fi worked. But, without Wi-Fi, I would not return here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff were friendly. Older KOA & some of the sites are a little tight in both width & length. Weak Wi-Fi system at best. We have stayed here several times before & the campsite has always been busy. Much quieter this time. Still has it’s full timers but transient clients seems to be down. Might be the economy or maybe due to road construction on the street leading in to the camp. Also seems to be less train traffic, you are near the main-line & it can be noisy. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Don't think could have gotten another site!! They did not seem to space out the RV's to help. The grass was mostly dandelions. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was okay. 60% of park was long-term. WI-FI did not work. Cable was okay. Sites are long, big rig friendly. Owner was friendly Hard to get to park due to construction, many detours from I-90 We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites were way too close together for comfort! There were train tracks next door that were noisy every hour or two, ALL night long. Would rather stay in Wal-Mart for the noise at those prices! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Campground was OK but being a camper who needs Wi-Fi as an absolute necessity I was disappointed. I called ahead the same day to confirm that the Wi-Fi was working and they said it was. After getting set up at my site I learned that the Wi-Fi was not working and was an ongoing problem with their campground. Staff was nice though. The Ice Cream social was well run. Way better than most KOA's. There were many varieties and the ice cream was kept cold in a proper manner. Not out of grocery store tubs with bees landing on it constantly like some other KOA's. It was $1 for a very large scoop on a nice sugar cone. It is nice to see an ice cream social that is not just out to make a profit on the ice cream. We would camp here again only if they improved their Wi-Fi. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

It was pouring down rain,and needed to do laundry that is the only reason we stayed here. Does not do KOA justice. Employees not good. Left the next morning early. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Spokane has a remarkable lack of decent, affordable campgrounds. Therefore, this place generates more business than it deserves. The laundry rooms are filthy and full of old, decaying machines. The dryers get so hot they burned one woman's clothing. The restrooms are just as disgusting. The electric at the back sites in the park cannot even support 30 amps in the summer. Your air conditioner will die down, then with a huge BOOM, stop working. I had power failures everyday. A family owns this and they are not the most ethical honest people in the world. They will keep you in the most expensive sites then tell you nothing else is available, when there are a ton of open sites around you. I am amazed that KOA even associates their name with this dump. It has destroyed my faith in KOA forever. Forget this park. By the way, you better not be a light sleeper because it is right on the railroad tracks at a crossing. It's horrible. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice children's facilities. The KOA guide lists the park as quiet. They must not notice the trains that rumble past blowing the whistle. The poor tenters had to listen to trains and the pumps from the water tower. Small, tight sites. Most have electric and water. Office staff were congenial, but we had reservations and they originally put us in an end pull through with high traffic when there were plenty of other sites available. They did let us move. Espresso and morning snack available at espresso cart. Would return only if I couldn't find something better. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is the best park in the Spokane Valley by far to consider. The management is friendly and will do all they can to give help when needed. He goes out of his way to make life more enjoyable. The laundry room is not huge, but you get your laundry done. The bathrooms are always clean. There is propane is on site, and a nice area to walk the dogs across the street. Great location with easy access to the highway, malls, post office, etc. The shade trees are great in the summer. Hopefully you will not have to be in this area during the winter, but if so, this is a great location as it makes traveling around town easy and convenient. The only negative part of this park is the size of the spaces; things can be pretty tight. We stayed there several months in a 30' 5th wheel and can park our truck there, too, but that is about it. When we stay in Spokane, this is where we will always be. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean park but not enough room. Sites are very close to each other. You have to pull through your site, unhitch your tow vehicle, and parallel park in front of your RV. We will not stay here again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I gave this park a 3 because the sites are too small and the streets are too narrow. To accommodate longer rigs, they have painted part of the asphalt streets with yellow stripes to extend the length of the sites. This makes getting to and out of a spot with a rig that requires a wide turning radius almost impossible. Also, there seem to be lots of long term residents with lots of "junk" around. The access is through a neighborhood but you end up about a block from the interstate. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

It is unfortunate that a great tourist town, like Spokane, does not have a good park. This one is four miles from downtown and has lots of trees. Spaces are small, (we witnessed two collisions between fifth wheels and trucks trying to park) and the interstate is next to the park creating lots of noise. Rest rooms are old and many things need repainting. Permanent residence have sad old cars and living units. Permanent residence screaming kids complete the scene. My rate was the nightly rate for a month. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you are desperate and want a bargain, I guess this place is OK. I shoulder's been suspicious when I called and the guy asked, "how old is your rig?" I said "what does that matter?" and he replies "because that will tell me what side of the park to put you in." Whatever you do, don't let them put you in a back-in site, as they are ridiculously small. We have just a 2007 24' fifth wheel, and we has SO much trouble getting in the spot. It was insane. The back in area is full of permanent residents who keep relatively clean grounds, but their rigs are old (and some permanent mobile homes too), and the grounds in this part of the park are just depressing. We had to stay in this section so we could get our satellite internet reception, which we did. But sites were so close I could hear kids in the next door trailer, and smell smoke from a smoker next door. The pull through side is OK, but you won't get any satellite reception there, too many trees. Staff was really friendly though, I'll give 'em that much. We had to get out of there though, and cut our Spokane visit short. The sites, the freeway noise, it was just too much. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed at park for 3 month while traveling. Customer service poor and very rude attendants. Overcharged for accommodations. Too much for a dirty camping site; very displeased. Much better sites to camp in the Spokane area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very old park and directly abuts I-90 making it quite noisy. The staff is extremely helpful. Park has LP gas, which some of the more modern parks do not. It has nice flowers and the grounds are clean. The sites were laid out before modern rigs with slides came along and are quite narrow. The water source is in a cistern-type opening below the ground, making it very difficult to access. We camped here in a Motorhome.

When you check into this place, they should meet you at the office door with a jar of vaseline and a shoehorn. I have never been in a park this tight, with sites this small. The place has 100 sites but should have only 50. They do not have a modem hookup, only wi-fi, and they charge you $7.00 per day to use it, despite the fact that it is weak and not reliable. If you're pulling anything over 26 feet, say away from this place. It does, however, have beautiful trees which just adds to the difficulty of getting around this tight, tight park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here during a cousin’s wedding. It’s a challenge to maneuver a 40 foot motorcoach here. RV’s that large were unheard of back when the place was built. The sites are close together, and the freeway is 50 yards away. The staff are very friendly, and the park is well maintained, so we will stay here again in future visits to Spokane. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I should state that we did not spend the night at the park. We read some reviews here and changed plans, but some of our mail did end up here. When we went to pick it up, we were happy we'd wound up at Spokane RV Park up in Deer Park. This is an asphalt parking lot with lots of permanent residents. The sites were tiny. While we waited for the office staff to return from parts unknown, we watched a poor guy in a large coach try to wiggle into his pull through site. That's right, a pull thru site was tight and hard to maneuver into. No grass and looked like people had to choose between their awning and their slide. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park was very unattractive and a disappointment. It advertises that it is big-rig friendly but the sites were the narrowest we have ever encountered. There was barely room for our truck and our neighbors were only a few feet away. The access roads were extremely narrow. There are few amenities. WiFi was available for a fee. You had to drive through the permanent trailer area, which was very unattractive, to get to the overnight sites. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff was very friendly and easy to work with. Overall very quiet and clean. Don't use the directions from their web site, we were quite lost! However once we got there, it has good access to I-90. Campground desperately needs updating. The office, while clean, was dated. We didn't use/check out the restrooms or laundry area. It's not a fancy place. Not much to look at. Right next to the freeway so prepare for freeway noise. You are in an urban area, so don't expect much for atmosphere. There is a play structure for the kids. We didn't ever go to the club house to see what's there. There were a lot of long-term rigs there. You have to pull through them on the way to the office. Cable was OK. Some stations worked, many didn't or had bad signals. Many of the long-term rigs used satellite. Wireless internet is available for $7/day. Speeds were OK, signal was good. Access was OK. If it was a full campground, it would be very tight maneuvering. We'd stay here again, but will probably try some others in Spokane. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
