Beautiful campground with a lot of spots available for walk-up. Large sites and fairly level. We were able to get a good signal with our Verizon aircard, and with a Verizon cell phone, but nothing with AT&T. Quiet yet only 6 miles off the freeway. Two lakes very close to each other. We would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is a national forest campground. We love this park as it is in the center of 2 lakes: Bass lake and Lake Owen. Lake Owen is 10 miles long with plenty of space for water sports and the fishing enthusiasts. The sites are spacious, but there are no hook ups of any kind. There are no shower buildings, no flush toilets, no camp store. You better bring everything that you need because the closest gas station is Drummond (5.5 miles) or grocery store in Cable (10 miles). These roads are the most winding and twisting roads around, not a trip you want to make too many times in one day! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
