This was previously a KOA Campground and is now under new ownership. Campground has many "seasonal" campers. Our site was site #76, which you accessed down a narrow dirt path road. To our surprise our campsite was angled wrong for the one dirt road we entered on. we had to drive to the end of the campground where the owner told us there was a turn around. The road to the turn around area was VERY narrow and I barely got my normal sized RV trailer between the trees. Once we reached the "turn around" we discovered is was an over grown open spot in the field. If there had been any recent rain, we would have gotten stuck. Once we turned around and headed back down the road, we were able to back into our site. The site was cement pad nicely landscaped, but many sites were nothing more that a grassy opening in the woods. Wi-Fi was almost non exsistent. Pool was green, bathrooms were clean, but showers need some work. The space between our camper and the lake was very overgrown with no access to the lake behind our camper, which was suppose to be lake front. Road into campground is about 8/10 mile gravel. Overall, the owners are working hard to make this a good campground, but I fear when we return next year, it will be filled with seasonal campers, and no room for temps like us. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We found this campground driving North from Rice Lake by their sign along side the road, and went in to check it out. The spaces were very large, and we parked on a concrete pad. We got perfect signal on our satellite dish and the Wi-Fi worked good. The people were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The manager arranged for me to use a boat for fishing and the fishing was great! The lake is low and fish are concentrated. It is about a city block in size right now. Thee is a game room and the restrooms and showers were immaculate. I would most definitely stay here again, either for a night, or a week. Good park. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and safe. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate was for our RV Club. Rate normally $30 first night, $75 next three night. Large 40' X 80' grassy sites. Only 3 years old so trees are small. Friendliest, most accommodating owner we have ever met. Free Wi-Fi excellent signal. Great fishing lakes to N, W, & E all within 5 miles. Definitely will go back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
